Negative experience: Uncompassionate and only interested in getting your money.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with Southside for over a decade with various pets. All the vets are incredible that I’ve dealt with (and I’ve dealt with many). You never feel rushed, they will explain all the options and answer all your questions. I wish all the physicians I’ve dealt with for human related issues cared as much as these folks do about your fur family members! If you are looking for a first time place or considering a change, I recommend them sooo much!

Fantastic experience: Compassion You Can Feel When It Matters Most Dr. Karen Lucas is everything you hope for in a veterinarian: loving, deeply knowledgeable, and genuinely devoted to every pet she cares for. Her empathy went far beyond expectations—she even rearranged her schedule to be there for the goodbye to my sweet kitty, Beau, and that act of kindness will never be forgotten. Days later, I received a beautiful sympathy card in the mail, signed by Dr. Lucas and her team, and it was incredibly moving and authentic during such a tender time. From Dr. Lucas to every staff member, you can feel how much they support one another and treat every family with compassion and respect. During one of the hardest moments of my life, Southside Animal Clinic gave comfort, dignity, and true care. Highly recommend for pets—and for the humans who love them like family.

Negative experience: Unhelpful, unknowledgeable and extremely overpriced. Vet was very cold and arrogant. No sympathy was shown for my sick cat. We ended up going to another clinic instead. Would not recommend this place to any pet owner.

Negative experience: After 9 years of taking my dog here and never missing an appointment, I get a no show fee for missing a monday morning appointment after a long weekend, when they don't have voice mail and no one picked up the phone monday morning. If this happened all the time, I would understand, but a little grace goes a long way with loyal clients. Beautiful clinic, doctor turn around seems high, I never seen the same techs/doctors more then once. Their follow up was great.

Fantastic experience: We recently moved and switched vets to Southside. We have been clients since October 9th, and we have had an amazing experience so far. The staff are understanding and very professional. I called to schedule a follow up vet visit and was offered an appointment with a quick turn around time, and with the same vet who saw my dog on the last date. This clinic has been more than accommodating and very easy to work with. This is our dog’s third vet due moves, and Southside has been my favourite one. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Parents always felt comfortable taking our dog here. She was in great hands with Doctor Kennedy, from when she was a pup to when she was finally put to sleep. Great, empathetic staff.

Fantastic experience: The staff were very helpful. I was looking fir a vet to come to the house to put my pet down, in his own surroundings. They gave me a list of 4 names of veterinarians that would come to the house. It was greatly appreciated.

Fantastic experience: We just switched over to Southside Animal Clinic and our older dog ended up needing surgery. Every single staff has helped to make an extremely difficult situation as smooth as possible. They were patient and reassuring to both my fur baby and myself and were very thorough in helping us to understand the health issues our dog was facing. I am so happy we switched to this vet clinic at the time our dog needed some extra care and she’s now recovering well and still happy to walk through the clinic doors each time we visit. I could not be happier with the staff team here and quality of care provided!

Fantastic experience: I've been coming here with my dogs for almost 15 years now. My dogs absolutely love everyone. Highly recommend. They were a big help when my first dog got sick. This is my current dog.

Negative experience: People with almost little to no compassion, that let their political views dictate their treatment plan and interactions with clients especially when it comes to mixed breeds. I did not order my cat into existence, it already existed and we adopted her to give her a good life, if you can help with that process great, if not then with integrity do you take our money shamelessly? Serious and pointless bias towards any form treatments other than branded food companies that support them and their colleges. Imagine handing out pamphlets about euthanasia without even diagnosing a condition? That is faster than MAID, must be the new canadian way.

Fantastic experience: They went over and above helping. They didn't have our brand of vet supplied dog food, so they called 6 local vets nearby and couldn't find any for me. She didn't have to waste her time helping me with my issue, but was more than happy to and very cheerful. Thank you ❤️

Fantastic experience: Southside Animal Clinic has the greatest team of people! Everyone is so incredibly friendly, so reassuring, and accommodating. Dr. O’Brien, Alex, Ashlee, Emily, and the entire staff have all been so wonderful to deal with during an ongoing situation with my Doberman’s injury. We’ve definitely been at the vet more than we’d like to be over the last month but there are really no words to describe the support we’ve felt from the staff here and how much that means when you’re dealing with a tricky situation. Aside from our most recent situation, we’ve been going to Southside for over a decade with 3 dogs and 2 cats over that time, and each visit has been wonderful. At the end of the day they genuinely care so much for your furry friends. Thank you Southside!!!

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for almost a decade. The vets are always wonderful, patient and gentle. The pricing is always transparent and affordable. Never any hidden fees which is hard to find with vets these days. Even when I lived in Toronto I always came back here. Thank you for being so wonderful to my pup ❤️

Fantastic experience: The staff are incredibly kind, helpful and know their stuff. The vets are good, easily answering any questions I have, explaining any options they give me for treatment. I feel very confident in the care my cats are getting at SSAC Appointments are handled in a timely fashion, no waiting around! They have responded to emailed concerns in a quick and helpful manner as well.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The Veterinarians are fantastic and don't push for unnecessary tests or procedures. I wouldn't trust my Bengal to anyone else.

Negative experience: No longer have weekend appointments. Charged me triple the price of even the emergency vet for the same procedure. Was trying to double vaccinate my dog just to get more money. They used to be ok but now they barely keep vets on staff and charge way higher prices than anyone in london. Very happily found another place to take my pets.

Positive experience: I've been bringing my pets to Southside for about 2-3 years now. Everything has been good, vets are knowledgeable. The only thing I don't love is that you have a different vet each time. Their TX plans/messaging can be inconsistent. Cost is fair, all vets are pricey

Fantastic experience: Nothing but good things to say. Have brought our boy Charlie here since we first got him at 8 weeks. Have been very helpful through any of the emergencies we have had. Price is very reasonable for vets bills, and the turnaround time for appointments is great. All the doctors that saw Charlie, always made the appointment easy, and explained everything very well. During a couple of scares with Charlie, they were quick to find answers and provide solutions. Would recommend this vet to anyone. Only reason we are leaving is we moved cities, or else Charlie would still be going here. Thank you to the team for looking after my boy Charlie for 4 years

Fantastic experience: Dr. Gabby is patient, kind, knowledgeable and reassuring. She takes the time to explain things which I really appreciate. I most definitely feel our girl is safe in her hands! Prior to Dr Gabby, we were with Dr Amy who I know personally and trust 100% to provide the best quality care. She is highly knowledgeable and an excellent veterinarian.

Fantastic experience: So many caring people at Southside, from Shaneen Kennedy and Karen Lucas and to all their staff members. We've had 2 wonderful dogs, Summer and Ollie, and Southside has been so caring, professional and responsive to all of our pets needs. Although Summer and Ollie are no longer with us, the care this clinic has given us and them will never be forgotten. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will be back with our future pup! (Can't be without)

We have received care by this team for years with our pets and always feel we are in good hands with people who genuinely love animals. We saw Dr. Grams last year when we had to put our dog down. He was kind, compassionate, patient, honest and supportive. Today I brought my new, very timid rescue and he was amazing with her. Very patient and gentle. He really takes his time to talk to you, explain things and address any concerns. I highly recommend Southside!

Fantastic experience: Southside animal clinic is by far the best clinic I’ve taken my pets! We lost a pet 6months ago after a surgical procedure performed at another veterinary clinic and have been very anxious about finding a new clinic to care of our other animals. Southside has been amazing, with the follow up after any vaccines or surgical procedure my dogs and cat have had done really provides me with added relief and trust in this clinic! The Vets I’ve seen have been very knowledgable and happy to answer any questions. They tell you what is recommended for on going health and care but never pushy. The receptionists, are very friendly and easy to deal with as well. I’m very happy with their service and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality care!

Dr Jeff Grams saw my 16 year old male cat today and was so kind as he told me that my cat had a large tumour and because of his symptoms the kindest thing to do was to euthanize him. Dr Grams was compassionate and very honest with us. I am so thankful for all the folks in this clinic and especially Dr Grams

Fantastic experience: We have been coming here for over 14yrs. I absolutely love every vet and tech here. Everyone is so amazing with both our cats and dog. When it came time to send our pup across the rainbow bridge they were compassionate and empathetic and treated him with upmost dignity and respect.

Fantastic experience: Great place. Excellent vets who truly care about their animals. They helped save my dog after severe kidney failure. He spent every open hour there for a week on IV liquids. He received the proper care he needed to recover. Would recommend to anyone.

Negative experience: told me to rehome my dog because i couldn’t afford 6k for a leg surgery. had it done elsewhere for 2k and never returned! vet techs were lovely but it’s a shame the doctor was so awful!

Positive experience: Giving 4 stars as I’m still a new patient here but so far so good! The vet was very helpful with letting me know what was going on with my new rescue. The receptionist are very friendly and nice to deal with! I was expecting to pay like $500 for his shots and blood work with his exam and it was $300 so not as bad but just keep that in mind!

Fantastic experience: We drive across town to go to Southside, all the vets at the clinic are wonderful and we have seen all of them over the last year. Dr. Amy is particularly amazing. She listens so carefully, asks detailed questions, and works hard to understand the full picture, and then she thoroughly explains her thoughts and a range of possibilities. We were so impressed during our last visit that I had to come write a review. It was exactly what we needed during an incredibly stressful time (mid-breakdown over our pupper) and we left feeling SO comforted. She considers the long-term picture but is also cognizant of cost (we have found all of the vets really great this way, outlining the approximate cost and the reasonable options). Highly recommend Southside - we so appreciate their amazing care, patience, and true love for pets.

Fantastic experience: We cannot say enough good things about the vets, vet techs, and really everyone who works here! We recently made the switch for our 3 kitties Addi, Lila and Mika and have been so pleased. Addi had an ulcer misdiagnosed on her eye for a months by our old vet - the second she went into Southside they knew exactly what was wrong and treated it correctly. They always seem to have our animals best interest in mind and really care for them. We fully recommend them to anyone. Update many years later - we still have the 3 cats however have 2 large dogs now too. All 5 animals absolutely LOVE it here as well as everyone working here. We cannot recommend them enough! ❤️

Fantastic experience: We had to let our Tripp cross the rainbow bridge and Southside went above and beyond. They were compassionate and patient. We also take our Bear there, he has seizures. They call and check on him and if I have any questions they are always a phone call away. We LOVE Southside!!

Negative experience: We have been taking our dogs there for years but during the pandemic one of our boys got an ear infection and we couldn't get him in for a couple of weeks so we took him elsewhere. They sent our files to the other vet and told us we would be put on waiting list for new clients.

Always gentle and friendly even though my German shepherd doesn't enjoy being at the vet and needs to be muzzled, they do everything they can to make him happy and comfortable. Negative experience: My Fiance had been taking our dog Tux to Southside the first 4 years of his life, up until this year we had no issues. This year suddenly he started to get infections in his ears, we went to Southside twice where they treated the ears at a cost of 500+$ but never tried to figure out why the ears were infected in the first place. Upon the 3rd arrival of the same issue naturally we decided to try another vet. They found immediately that it was an allergic reaction. Once the new vet requested his previous files from Southside they dropped us as a client immediately. Beware of the "care"

Negative experience: Went there with my dog when I first got to London. All women working there. None very friendly. Expensive. Last straw was when they cut the quick on my dogs nail and made him bleed. So stopped going there.

Fantastic experience: I adopted 2 male kittens from the clinic about a month ago. The experience we have had has been superior to any other London vet clinic we've been to! Lovely, friendly staff. They really care about their clients pets.

Fantastic experience: We have brought our puppy here for every vaccination. She always gets really happy when we pull in the parking lot and sometimes tries to run back inside when we are leaving. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff! They care and are very friendly. Also give you alot of helpful information. I highly recommend this clinic!

Positive experience: Pets are always treated well. Covid protocols are in place at the moment. Staff ask how the pet is and adapt to anxious ones. Vet reports back by phone and discusses what should be done during the visit and also recommends treatment just as she would at an in person appointment.
