Fantastic experience: Be going here for 15+ years and it’s always a pleasant experience. The staff and doctors are all very friendly and helpful. Was in there yesterday with my cat Ariel who is a senior cat who wasn’t feeling well and she was diagnosed with hyper thyroidism which she be on medication for rest of her life and want to thank Holly for the great tips on giving cats pills, it worked out great. I highly recommend Alpine animal Hospital. ❤️

Negative experience: Quoted me 1500-2500 for a dog teeth cleaning. I won't be going back. I called a vet in Steinbach who quoted 600-1500.

Fantastic experience: Just had to take my cat Oswald to be put down, they made it as quick and easy as possible through the transition.

Negative experience: Horrible experience, vet yelled at my dog to stop barking she was 6 months old and just had been spayed. The vet is Horrible but staff working behind the desk are great.

Fantastic experience: I transferred over from another veterinarian as I found the veterinarian turn over was ridiculous. Plus getting in the same day for an emergency appointment was impossible. My 2 Poms have collapsed trachea so when I’m concerned I obviously want them to be seen and being told to go to the emergency vet? No. So I called Alpine and I got in immediately. They were on top of the situation instantly. I did have to take her to emergency, however if I had not first gone to Alpine she would have arrested before I could get there. Freya was given rescue medicine to enable me enough time to drive to Bridgewater! Since then I’m sold on Alpine. Dr. Bray is awesome. She goes above and beyond all the time. In all my years as a pet owner I’m in awe of how much she dedicates herself to your pets care. I am also highly impressed that they don’t gouge you on medication, food or veterinary services. Dr. Standish is a long standing veterinarian at Alpine as well. Dr. Bray was not in the office when my other Pom, Wynston, started coughing and wasn’t stopping. Dr. Standish saw him immediately, ran some tests, and after some aggressive treatment with medication for 3 days, he was back to his old self. So thank you as well Dr. Standish

Negative experience: Very pricey for an ear infection visit $500

Positive experience: I was at this place over 15 years ago with a cat. I stopped going there because they misdiagnosed my cat, and in the long run, ended up killing him because give him wrong medication caused him to seizure and have a stroke... Well, I have a friend that goes to this clinic and decide to give it a go again. I would have to say my service was pretty excellent. The price was reasonable cheaper than my regular vet. Dr.Standish was right to the point. Give me a few pointers on training and fixed up my pup. He was genuine and seemed like he actually cared about my dog. I would go back.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was so kind and helpful when I had to put my dog of 18 years to sleep. They opened up a little early as we showed up just before opening. It was a tough day but I appreciate that they made it as easy as it could be. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I’m very grateful for the care my pet received at this clinic—the veterinarians and tech team are truly wonderful, knowledgeable, patient and compassionate. I always feel confident that my pet is in good hands. If I may offer one small suggestion: improving the friendliness and engagement of the reception staff could really elevate the overall experience. A warm welcome goes a long way, especially when you’re coming in with a worried heart. That said, I’m still giving 5 stars for the excellent care and dedication shown by the vet team. Thank you for all that you do!

Negative experience: Was in here a few weeks ago with a good friend and his dog. He would never in a million years make a review or even request me to make a review on his behalf so this is just solely my perspective. To keep a long story short, his pup went in for a neuter. According to the paperwork, the intubation tube was taken out within the 11am hour and he was released by 1pm. In my opinion, they did not monitor for a long enough period to determine that he was good to go home. Typically with most vets you drop a pup off at 8:30am and pick up is between 3-5pm. Within 30 minutes of being home he started having issues breathing. In another half hour it had worsened and my friend called Apline with his concerns. He was met with a response along the lines of "just keep monitoring him....yes, we can hear him making those noises in the background but just keep an eye on it" My friend immediately video called me asking for advise (i have a rescue and ive seen some things, unfortunately) and i told him to take him back in straight aways. He said "well, the vet said to just monitor" and i responded with "i dont care what the vet said, go now" So he took him back in and by the time I got there and started to ask some questions it had been 2 hours. When one of the vet techs came in to check his gum color I ask her a question and she said "oh no he was BLUE when he came in." If he didnt take him in when I said to against the vet offices advice, would the dog be alive right now? My bet is on no Nearly $1,000 later in total the dog is ok. In my opinion they may have pulled the intubation tube too early, especially for his breed. With a bulldog I would have for sure waited the extra hours to make sure everything was fine. They kept making a point of saying " you need to try and make sure that he stays calm when he's at home....." which he was.... 2 stars go to the lovely blonde petite vet tech that checked his vitals before we left (i had requested but the other vet tech said he was looking good so it wasn't needed) just to give us peace of mind. She was wonderful to handle all the questions I had and did that for us at the end.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience. Highly recommend. Prices fair. Cheapest I could find for a neutering. They even called the next day to check up on my cat.

Fantastic experience: Hands down best vet in the city!! Me and my boy Lamar(kitty) will be back for his yearly checkups. The staff are very friendly, they even sent 2 cards last year when I had my other cat cremated. Love Alpin. Wouldn't take my pets anywhere else

Fantastic experience: We have been going to this vet for over, 30 years. Because we have always believed they were and still are the best in Winnipeg. It used to be call the Winnipeg spay & neuter clinic. Still today, April 2025, they are still the best in: care, professional, responsible, cost and respect. Thankyou to Alpine Animal hospital Kathy Evinger

Fantastic experience: Had my first visit with this Veterinary office. The staff were pleasant and helpful, on the phone and in person. Dr. Bray is an absolute credit to her profession. She is knowledgeable, thorough and patient. She takes the time to explain the results of her examination and explains what is needed to address the problem. Finally a Veterinary Hospital I feel I can trust.

Fantastic experience: We wound up at Alpine with Dr. Nichol after some really difficult and unexpectedly expensive experiences at other clinics in the city that left me apprehensive and avoidant of veterinary care. Dr. Nichol is such an amazing, caring, and helpful animal physician. She cares deeply for animals and their owners, and does a thorough assessment in her care planning. She talks to you, not at you, and continuously teaches you during her appointments to help you understand what she's assessing, how she's assessing it, why she's assessing it, and will even give you opportunity to participate in the assessment so you can understand what she's referencing. She appreciates constrains on family life that mean we do the best we can for our furry family members, and gives you an array of options for treatment planning without pressure or judgment. She incorporates a kind sense of humour that helps you feel at ease, and will spend the time to make sure you leave feeling informed and encouraged. Highly recommend her, so happy we found her! She figured out a chronic problem we were having with our senior dog right away that another clinic had missed, and got him feeling back to himself after months of being uncomfortable and withdrawn. Front staff and technicians have also been really lovely!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love Dr Nichol. She has been through so much with me and my pets and is always honest about the situation which I so appreciate.

Negative experience: I can’t even begin to explain how unbelievably baffled and irate I am at with this place. I had an appointment today at 11:45am, I show up at 11:47 and I’m made to wait to check in. I finally get checked in at 11:52 and then I am made to wait with my cat in the waiting room with three dogs (one of them unleashed and all of them without carriers) for an additional 20 minutes. In that time, another person comes in with a big dog on a leash and my cat starts to get nervous because some of these dogs are almost too big for their owners to even get a hold of (they were constantly struggling to keep their dogs next to them). This person has an appointment at 12pm and is walked into the exam room almost immediately. At this point, I begin to become exasperated because why am I making an appointment if you’re just gonna have me wait in the waiting room for who knows how long?? This isn’t a walk-in clinic for pets—and unlike other people who have the luxury to spend their Saturday doing whatever they want, I have work to do. I am making an appointment because every second of my time is valuable and it is completely unacceptable to make anyone with an appointment wait that long. If that doesn’t work with your clinic operations then don’t ask your clients to make appointments. But it doesn’t stop there. At around 12:05 one of the receptionists has the audacity to ask me to put my cat back in his carrier (he had a harness and leash on and I was holding him closely in my chest because at this point he’s shaking) because soon there will be a couple of big dogs in the waiting room that “will not appreciate the presence of a cat.” I’m sorry but… how the heck is that my fault? I made an appointment at 11:45am and YOU are making me wait over half an hour with my cat in a room full of dogs. And then you’re blaming me because my cat is getting more anxious with every minute that he spends in this room filled with dogs barking and whining?? All of them without carriers, even though they should have them, and one who kept growling at every other animal excessively who not only had no carrier but no leash on!!!!! Let me clarify: my cat was, not only completely quiet and non-disruptive, I was closely holding him for the entire time except to take the picture I have attached to this review. I was so pissed that I walked out so who knows how long I would have been made to wait. However, it doesn’t matter that I didn’t see a doctor. I am writing this because you should all be ashamed of the way that you treated my cat and of the way that you’re conducting this business. It is despicable to treat people like that and why? Because I have a cat and the majority of people have dogs? That only goes to show that even at a place that is meant to help and care for ALL animals, you will find horrible people who will make you feel guilty or bad for having a cat instead of a dog. I am so sick and tired of this discrimination and I will not stand for places like this ever. You should be shamed for treating people like this. I will make it my goal to inform all of my acquaintances about the horrific treatment I received at this clinic and to whoever is reading this—if you have a cat and you’re thinking of bringing them here, BEWARE. If this is how they treated me in the waiting area, I do not even want to begin thinking about how they would have treated me and my cat in the exam room. Also, if you care to notice—most of the positive reviews come from dog owners. Make of that what you will! Attached is a photo proving that I had my cat on a leash and how nervous he was from being around aggressive dogs without leashes or carriers ☺️ Shame on you Alpine!

Fantastic experience: Always so friendly and welcoming. You can see they love what they do! Kaci has been well taken care of. He was recently neutered. Everything went smoothly. They called to let me know how he was doing. When I had a question Dr. Standish called me back within minutes and was able to put my mind at ease. Highly recommended!

Babs Severight Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: I took my dog Sparkles to be euthanized on the 1st of Nov. They couldn't find a vein, they tried several times, she was old, maybe that played a factor, but when they gave her the meds to make her sleepy, Sparkles tried to puke and was having a hard time breathing, this lasted until they injected her with more sedative, and again with the medication to stop her heart, she was closer to death, but they needed a second injection to finish putting her down. It was nothing like when we put our cat down, we did it at a different vet clinic. Saying goodbye was very difficult, witnessing her suffer before she passed made it harder.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing group of people work here at Alpine Animal. The front desk team was so polite and friendly. Dr. Bray was incredible. She was knowledgeable, caring and so perdonable. I complete and whole heartedly recommend Alpine Animal hospital for your fur babies. Ask for Dr. Bray. You will not be disappointed. The prices were also super reasonable.

Rebecca Rachelle Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: We have always had good experiences until our cat got a skin condition. We took him in and our concerns were dismissed, and a week later his head is bleeding and Alpine was not able to get him in for a follow up for 3 days, when he is very unwell. Very disappointing and the staff were dismissive of our concerns, and not willing to follow up with us. We will no longer be taking any of our animals here.

Kiara Fulham Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bray is an outstanding vet! She always explains things in clear terms and provides a variety of options and solutions. She truly cares for the wellbeing of my animals.

We've visited this place for a few times already and have yet to have a bad experience. Dr. Kulwinder Chhoker and Dr.Standish are very gentle wi th my puppy they explain clearly everything and do their best helping your pet. I' m very comfortable now to visit Alpine hospital. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I love the staff at Alpine. The receptionist were friendly and helpful. The vets knew what was going on with my dog. Love this vet.

Christy Posted on Google 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I had to bring my Boston terrier in for a tooth extraction. She was scheduled for cleaning, however Dr Standish realized cleaning wasn't required, only an extraction. So my initial $1000-1500 quote turned out to be just shy of paying under a grand. I appreciate that this clinic does not take advantage of you or push unnecessary shots or procedures (my little girl broke her K9 down the tooth and had to be pulled). I appreciate all the hard work Dr Standish and his staff do to let me trust them wholeheartedly and my pups too. (Dr Cam is another vet who had been amazing when Dr Standish was away). Thank you to everyone at Alpine.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Standish and Stacey were very comforting to us, didn't rush us while we had to put our lil Mocha down to sleep

Fantastic experience: Our baby unfortunately got stung by a wasp and his paw was very very swollen and he was in pain and uncomfortable. So we called around and decided to take our cat here because our normal vet was unfortunately all booked up. They took us in with no question or problem at all! Upon arriving we barely had to wait (despite being super super busy), the front desk staff were sooooo nice and so welcoming.. and Dr. Samantha Bray was absolutely amazing! She was so nice and so knowledgeable and knew exactly how to handle and treat our cat. We’ve had such bad experiences before at other vets, being too rough and just overall not good with cats .. so we were a little hesitant to bring our baby elsewhere from our normal vet. But the experience was so great! To the point where we are going to switch vets to make Dr.Samantha Oliver’s vet from now on. She was so nice and so good with him, she did a full work up and check up and went above and beyond with Oliver’s care! We have never had a vet do such a good and thorough check up before, making sure that our baby was nice and healthy on top of treating his wasp sting as well. She handled him with such care and was so informative with everything … and she even gave him a Churu treat at the end of it for being such a good boy! (No vet has ever done that before for our babies) If I could give more than 5 stars I would - simply because of how great Dr. Samantha was!! We are 100% switching vets just because of her , and we hope to switch our spicy orange boy as well. Even though he’s a little more difficult to deal with .. but based on how Oliver’s appointment went, I have no doubts she would be good with him too! The price was super affordable as well - compared to a lot of vets in the city that we have been to. They even take the time to break it down and explain everything to you, make sure you understand everything and make sure you’re okay with the price of everything. 10/10 recommend!! Thank you Dr. Samantha for putting the care that you do into your job, and for being soooooo great with our baby!

Negative experience: Do not recommend Dr Sikarwar. We had some concerns so we booked an appointment and told to monitor the symptoms in the meantime. Dr Sikarwar took twice the amount of time to perform the exam and completely dismissed the symptoms. No diagnosis, nothing to help our cats breathing issues that were quite concerning. However, I highly recommend our usual vet, Dr Bray. She is quick, caring and takes the time to look into our concerns and we will be taking our poor cat back in to see her promptly. Update: our cat has asthma and needs daily meds with an inhaler. Glad Dr Bray validated our concerns

Cori-Lee R Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: I love our vet, who happens to work here. I travel a grater distance just to go see them. However last week we had a bit of a flood issue and I gave a courtesy call that we are running a bit late. They canceled the appointment, and charged me with a late cancellation fee. I was only running 15 minutes late. I thought I was being kind as often I am early and you could take the next appointment if they arrived early. I was very disappointed in the front end staff and the extra charge that wasn’t in my budget.

Negative experience: I took my manx cat there a month ago to help him with digestive problems. Yes he was 17 years old. I had very bad vibes of that place and should have taking my back home to see another vet. Not very comfortable and clean and very friendly towards cats. The vet I had hardly spoke English and he was scared to handle my cat. My friend and w had to help him to check my cat. So unprofessional! Then I was told he needed to have sedated for X-rays. I should’ve left right there. Don’t take your cats there. Aweful experience

Negative experience: Very upset with Alpine they’ve gone to the dogs especially the reception area. Rodney Dangerfield Jones got sick had blood coming out of her very concerned especially with the blood and tried to get an emergency appointment lines were closed until 2 pm staff meeting then we were told they had nothing available even emergency Tuesday June 4. We have been going to alpine for at least 30 years 5 cats and Rodney been going there since she was 8-10 weeks old and was almost 13 years old.Rodney came from Swan River We have had 5 cats going there have had problems with office staff in past due to various situations but because we could always get appointment with Dr Standish so we stayed. We haven’t even heard from Dr Standish which upsets me and makes me feel like they don’t care anymore unless he doesn’t know which I find hard to believe because my wife called the office I emailed them and messaged them on Facebook haven’t heard anything from them very upset and with the fact there are vet clinics a lot closer to us then Alpine I intend to take our other cat Monty business elsewhere and our new cat as well closer to home Alpine has lost what made them a great place to deal with in the past compassion and caring for their customers pets and feeling that they are not looking after loyal customers especially when they have major concerns basically gone to putting profit over loyalty Rodney was put down June 4 because according to Pembina vet she had blood in her lungs and a growth possibly cancer and a hard time breathing totally upset especially Monty because that was his step sister and they were close and he is lost without her If loyal customers means nothing to Alpine fine like I said other vets a lot closer to us are willing to look after our cats and very seriously considering leaving Alpine after what happened

Fantastic experience: I found this animal hospital through my mom in law and they have been super wonderful. Super gentle with my puppy, Bella. She’s only sixteen weeks old. Our veterinarian we seen was super knowledgeable and didn’t push anything unnecessary. I recommend this vet clinic highly! I absolutely love their vet tech and receptionists. The pricing is super fair.

They explain everything very clearly and do their best to work with you in helping your pet. Definitely a positive environment for your furry family members to get the help they need!

Fantastic experience: My sister and brother in law recommended Alpine as they have been taking their dogs there for many years! I got my cat fixed there last year and she had a great speedy recovery! I also had lots of questions in regards to her recovery and they were so patient and helpful with answering everything that I needed to know, as well as reassuring! Thank you alpine! And a special thank you to Sam for being so helpful and doing an amazing job with fixing my cat!

Negative experience: New ownership? Terrible experience going there recently. Vet kept adding unnecessary tests and provided no solution to our dog. $600.00 Vet bill for stomach ache. Called to discuss and Vet was rude. STAY AWAY

Lauren Mason Posted on Google 2 years ago

Positive experience: Dr samantha Bray is absolutely the greatest, one of our dogs has severe anxiety and she was so helpful in regards to medications, Dr nichols is great as well but definitely avoid Dr. Standish

Olivia Green Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Disappointed. Adopted two cats from WHS and there was a "welcome home" program offering a free exam within 4 weeks to get set with a new vet. I mentioned the program when I booked the appointment and that I was looking for information on feeding a wet food diet and quantity to feed if they needed to gain weight. They were running behind in appointments, took 30 minutes to weigh both cats, ignored my questions and tried to sell the prescription diets at the front after telling me they were healthy. Then the vet said they no longer honored the program and charged $85 for each cat's examination. I got no new information as I already had their health reports from WHS, I had really just wanted to find a local vet and get info on diets. Very disappointed and feel ripped off. They could've told me at the time of booking that they no longer honored the program, but they waited until after service had been given. Was expecting to pay for a vaccine, perhaps even a nail trim. No nail trim offered and $170 for a rushed exam while not providing any answers to my questions.

Negative experience: I'm not pleased that I received an estimated minimum cost of 1,600 and maximum cost of 2,000 to get teeth removed from our dog only to find out that it was nearly 2,700 for 11 teeth while the dog was sedated. Then, they sneak a lady into the room with a debit machine before I even got to see my dog, almost as if they are holding him ransom until you pay your bill. I'm also going to say that after my previous trip to them for an infection on my dog, I was given antibiotics and was told it was extremely important to give him all the meds until they were completely finished, but they miscounted the pills so the treatment ended 4 days early. When I questioned why so many pills were missing I was then told that 4 days doesn't matter. They insisted on another follow up so they can look in my dogs ear and charge me more money. And guess what.. The infection came back immediately. In a profession where an animals wellbeing is most important, they sure know how to make people feel like money is most important. The only good vet here is Dr. Nichol, but unfortunately, because she's the only good one, you need to book well in advance to see her.

Fantastic experience: Very patient and friendly staff- I am a new dog owner and had many questions that were expertly answered in person and over the phone, very pleased with the value of service in general. Thank you staff of Alpine Animal Hospital!

Fantastic experience: We love Alpine and especially dr. Nichol. So much so, that we drive across the city to see her. Our bully is allergic to so many things and I’ve learned so much from dr Nichol about allergies and things we can do to help. She’s friendly, so caring and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend her! Also, the front staff have always been so friendly on the phone and in person. Cannot thank these angels enough for the care they give our babies

Jade Pham Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO PREFORM SURGERY WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT. I think as a pet owner we can all agree that when the bill comes, there is always a discrepancy. However, I wasn’t expecting to see AN EXTRA SURGERY. When I questioned the receptionist, she told me she didn’t have an answer for the bill and I’d have to sit with the vet to get an understanding. Dr Cam Nichol came in the room and explained that they found another tumour on her shoulder and removed it as well. I asked when they had find out about the growth since I had no idea, and she told me when my boyfriend dropped her off, he pointed out a skin tag. He was told that while she was having mammary tumour removal, they would ACCESS the skin tag. @ no point did they mention removing the skin tag or provide any information saying it was anything other than a skin tag. @ around noon my boyfriend called to check on the status of our dog and was told she was ready to be picked up. I headed to the clinic and was given a bill for $900. I had already overbudgeted @ $500 when they told me the surgery would only cost $300 because I know how these things go. But an extra surgery without consent THAT WAS NOT LIFE THREATENING is completely unacceptable. If we had been contacted and provided a quote we could have made a decision and payment plan that worked for everyone, but instead were brought to the clinic, made to feel like we didn’t want to preform procedures necessary for her health, and then made to feel like we are not looking after her best interests when questioning the VERY inflated bill. This will not be the end of my experience with this clinic seeing as they preformed surgery without consent. I truly hope the owner of Alpine tries to get ahold of me to resolve this issue so that a complaint doesn’t have to be filed with the MVMA. However, fully prepared to go that route if not contacted within the next 7 business days.

Negative experience: DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE!! The staff is incredibly rude. I have on numerous occasions overheard the front staff talk poorly about other clients as if no one was around. There is a huge lack of compassion and empathy for the end of life care at Alpine. We had to make the unfortunate decision to put down our beloved cat and they blew out three of his veins before asking to sedate him. In his life he was treated with utmost respect, dignity, kindness and love as he aged. Within his last moments, the staff stole that by allowing him to struggle so long without sedation. They brought him into the room with three bloody bandages. It was heart breaking to see him in that state. It devastated us to know he had to fight right before his last moments. That could have been 100% prevented. He was robbed of a healthy send off.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Alpine. Dr. Standish's experience and knowledge really comes through, we have a French bulldog who needed Nares surgery, the Staff and Dr are very helpful along every step of the way.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff. I brought my cat and we saw Dr. Bray, she was so gentle, kind, thorough and very informative. My cat is usually very stressed at the vet but he was the calmest he has ever been while being examined. Would recommend this Veterinary.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are all very knowledgeable and friendly. We had 2 major surgeries and all went great.

Negative experience: This has been our favourite vet clinic for 15 plus years. Slowly it started to disappoint us. Reception staff some are very police but some and one in particular is very condescending. In general the entire front staff need some work in PR skills. We had another instant where our dog needed urgent care and we were told to wait 2 weeks for an appointment . A particular veterinarian told me if I brought our senior dog back in to the clinic for the same issue they would refuse to treat him. That was the day I decided to go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: We called in the beginning of October to have our chihuahua neutered and were able to get an appointment within two weeks. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and on top of communication. The day after surgery, they called to check up on our dog to make sure he was recovering well and answered any questions that we had. Overall the process was seamless and honestly so affordable. We would give ten stars if we could!

Positive experience: They’re okay. Prices are so-so, receptionists are about as friendly as bouncers at a biker bar but, the results are what you would expect from a vet clinic. Nothing to refer your friends & family to though.

Fantastic experience: I started taking my Pug Ozzy to Alpine Animal Hospital in 2011 after hearing about their spay and nueter program. I contunued on as they helped Ozzy throughout his life. Over the years Ozzy was treated for a cancerous tumor removal, cornery injury, and near the end of his life diabetes. I was always given options in terms of test and treatments. I will be forever grateful for the care and compassion at the end of his life.

Fantastic experience: Had my smokey in for the glorious neuter. Hecwasvt toi happy but they have exceptional service. They even called me once he was out of surgery to update me on his condition. He was doing great. The staff is excellent

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend Dr. Standish. Very knowledgeable and patient. He took the time to examine Onyx, and even explained his X-ray to me. There was a chance my little guy had a heart issue. Dr. Standish took the time to call me personally to tell me the good news before I can make a follow up appointment for his ultrasound results, he even provided me with alot of information and advice for onyx. I definitely recommend Alpine, and Dr. Standish. The staff is amazing as well ♥️

Jamie Neufeld Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: Was a great affordable place to go till they got new owners, now when I go there they look for every reason to do a money grab on me, my dog was just at vet few months ago so she doesn't need a check up yet so I just called to get her heartworm medication prescription refilled and they refused to do it till I bring dog in for tests

Fantastic experience: No pricing comparison but friendly, easy with our dogs, explained what is needed and when....great service, nice people, experienced doctor who remembered our dogs....excellent experience

kristen rego Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: not happy.. my dog has aggression issues which she was muzzled.. got charged 80$ for “exam/consult” which the entire time the vet was trying to convince me to euthanize her… she’s only 2. No other options just that. No compassion

Fantastic experience: The staff is always very kind to me and my dog. We both love their service!

Positive experience: Kind staff, helpful on the phone and in person. My vet was clear and concise, and I feel more than comfortable taking my pet back here

Chantel Gregorchuk Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: I brought my kitten here for some vaccine shots and a check up. I’ll start off with the ladies at the front desk because they set the tone.. They were absolutely wonderful! The moment we opened the door they greeted us, got our information, and let us know exactly what was going to happen! They were very nice, kind, and professional! The doctor we dealt with was extremely knowledgeable, gave really good advice, and was very nice and professional. 5 stars isn’t enough to justify the service they give! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Karen Storozuk Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: I dropped in today without an appt as my dog had an injury on a walk, reception was so accommodating, my wait was 'maybe' only 30 minutes and she had a full checkup, mini surgery and all done in less than 2 hours, my doctor was wonderful. Have been taking pets here for years and ALWAYS pleased by the expertise and care of the doctors/techs and receptionists. Thank you!

Dave Seguin Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: Horrible experience. The doctor had no compassion. Recently, we had to put our dog down. We were told that they would put him on IV, then we could spend some time with him, then they would come in and do the injection. They brought him back, and the doctor started explaining the injection as he was already doing it. Our dog was gone in 30 seconds and the doctor just walked out. We never did have the chance to spend any quality time with him in the last of his life. They also "forgot" to do his paw print impression, even though they made us pay for it in advance. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Alpine animal hospital are very friendly and responsive. It's a very busy clinic. We've had a good experience with the technicians and the doctors. They always follow up by text and email to see how our pets are doing.

Jason P Ryan Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: We were looking for 'special dietary cat treats' they were great a very helpful (the staff...and cat liked treats too).

Lunden Rycroft Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Showed extreme kindness and compassion towards our family and our sick doggie. Even though we lost our pet, due to natural causes, the vet and techs all went above and beyond to help us through it. Our deepest gratitude to Alpine.

Anne Pearn Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Very kind and understanding. Worth the trip across town! (Wish they were closer, ha!). When there was a misunderstanding of prices they adjusted it in my favor, they always explain things well and my Cat, while unhappy with any vet visit, certainly doesn't seem to HATE it there (unless there's a dog)

Terry Roth Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: Absolutely a horrible place. The owner is rude and treats his staff terrible. Won’t give any advice what’s so ever without a appointment. Does not care about our pets. It’s all about the money

Andrew Stewart Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: I've been bringing my cats to Alpine for years. Dr. Nichol has been great. Very patient and gentle with all of them. A cute kitten fix early in the day does help! Always explains what is going on, which helps me take better care of the cats. The people are a caring team that have the pets best interests in mind.

Olayinka Ogunnoiki Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Professionalism at its finest from the entire staff! They know what their doing and they'll prove it by providing the utmost care and concern for your pets wellbeing and your peace of mind that your companion is in good hands! You should join Alpine if T.L.C. is what you're looking for in an animal hospital!

Tyson C Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: Do not take you pet here. A new cat needs at least 3 visits to get fixed I get that. However the first east Indian doctor that my cat seen, gave him a clean bill of health, but while he was doing his examination he scratched the inside of my cats ears, I seen him, and heard my cat with my own eyes. On the second visit, clean bill of health, but she said he has two scratches on the inside of his ears that got infected, now he has ear infections, and I needed something for that, I told her about my previous visit, she went on the defensive, looked through the report of my first vist to try find any notes, nothing, and said she doesn't believe the doctor did that, but I don't got worry anymore he's retired now she said. Third visit the stuff I bought to fix his ears worked. They fixed my cat all that went smooth, but before I left, they went on a food pitch, and said they were the only place that sells this food, and its the greatest all that jazz. I said no, and right after she says, if you feed your cat chicken or beef he'll get ear mites, came off to me a lil suspicious tho. I leave a few days later my cats scratching his ears, and the cat we had for 8 years before that, who after her vet visits never had a problem, n she started scratching too, so now we had to take both in, but we went to a different vet because I simply didn't trust this place anymore, and boom, ear mites, they predicted it, and tried blame the food well before I left. Idk of they think I'm stupid because I'm Native, or they just play like that to everyone, but there's some fishy stuff going on over there. Animal lovers beware, and there's a great vet on St James, and portage, I'd recommend that place over this one hands down.

Fantastic experience: The staff are super nice and extremley helpful at explaining everything thats going on with your animal. We had to put our family dog down not long ago and they gave us all the time we needed with her and made sure we got whatever we wanted from her

Christine Funk Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: Been going here for years, I like consistency so I continued bringing my pets even though sometimes the staff made me feel judged. The last straw was when my dog was extremely sick and I was so worried about her and they wouldn't do anything to accommodate or make me feel better about it, they just said were not an emergency vet but you better get her somewhere. I was heartbroken, because my fur baby has anxiety and they knoe this and she was already sick and was alot more anxious going somewhere new. However I'm glad I did, because we found an amazing vet that helped so much. I will not be returning back to Alpine & I will not be referring people to them anymore either. Very disappointed.

Ryan Melquist Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: The vet we seen was very knowledgeable and gave us great suggestions to aid our aging dog. Of course she recommended extra services but was not pushy about it all. Will be returning if needed (hopefully not) very fair prices.

nadine mitchell Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: I want you to know how much I value your service... check up texts mean a lot and also fitting us in for an emergency was so appreciated. Thank you for relaxing your Covid protocol so I could be with my dog and speak in person with your fantastic doctors who always teach me while examining- your service is top tier.
