Fantastic experience: We've seen several of the Doctors for our pets at Birchwood and they have all been genuinely interested in our animals stories and provide an incredible standard of care. I have kept Dr. Hannah & Dr. Boyd late because I have so many questions but I have never been rushed and always been heard when I am advocating for my animals. This entire team is truly one of kind.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Robertson is absolutely the best.. When I brought my cat belle in for the hardest decision in my life-saying goodbye- She took the time to explain everything,console and comfort me. Her empathy was genuine and deeply felt. Her reassurance that I was doing the right thing for belle means more to me then words could ever say. I will be forever grateful for her to have been the one with belle and I during such a heartbreaking time ❤️

Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending Birchwood with my family dogs for 30 years now. It is by far one of the best veterinary clinics. In recent visits the last 4 months or so, we were treated with so much respect, kindness and so much compassion they showed for my Honey Bear. DrStafiniuk and Dr Remple were very thorough. They called me back every time I called with questions and concerns and to follow up with me on her condition. Honey Bear just recently passed, I received a card in the mail from Dr Stafiniuk personally. I can’t stop crying. Thank you for caring and understanding how hard it is losing a loved one and you don’t even know how much that meant to me.

Positive experience: Expensive and known to overcharge. Often worth the extra cost but, as it's been explained to me i've just had good luck and/or timing compared to other people. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: We moved to back to the city last fall and recently started going to Birchwood Vet. Due to employment we have seen a number of vets across the country and I have to say Birchwood is TOP NOTCH. In June we took our senior girl Stella in and unfortunately she was diagnosed with Oral Cancer. I want to thank the whole team (Dr. Remple & Dr. Preston both helped us through this process). Everyone was so kind and really supportive during the process it really meant a lot to us. A special shoutout to Dr. Remple your kindness and empathy is so appreciated. We received a card from Dr. Remple and it was not just a general condolences card I could truly see that there was thought and effort in the words written. I appreciate you so much for all of your support. You gave us honest advice and made us feel informed and supported from our first visit. We are truly so lucky to have had you through this journey. Though we miss our sweet girl our guidance really helped us be at comfort that we were making the best decision for her in this situation.

Fantastic experience: We brought our beagle named Kali to see Dr. Hannah for the 1st time. As usual, Kali sat under the chair terrified. When Dr. Hannah entered the room, she immediately sat on the floor and grabbed her jar of treats. She slowly gained Kali’s trust and continued the appointment talking to us about her weight and sore leg, while remaining on the floor. Dr. Hannah gently did her check up and Kali was not nervous like she usually is. She did not pressure us to get any X-rays done (unless the limping doesn’t go away) or buy the expensive diet dog food. She gave us homemade recipes, as we requested. To say the least, we were blown away, as we had never seen a veterinarian sit on the floor to gain trust. She definitely chose the right career. She was honest, listened intently to our concerns and overall had the best intentions for Kali. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. HANNAH to anyone looking for a new vet or a 2nd opinion. We are so pleased with her and her staff. Thank you!!!

Negative experience: Was good for a few years until last visit the older male doctor was aloof and they charge you money and tell you things anyone would know then rush you out and gaslight you when you complain . Didn't feel genuine care at all. They offer poor advice like most vets it's all about profits they don't really care when it's all on Google now anyway just do the research yourself ... raw foods best not the dried kibble they sell and brush your dogs teeth with coconut oil for health too but they'll never tell you that because it's less vet visits and less money for them . Be wise .

Fantastic experience: I am so incredibly thankful to have found this clinic. I will sing their praises from the rooftops whenever I can. My cat underwent a nearly full mouth dental extraction here to treat Stomatitis, where my previous clinic was just trying to feed her steroids forever to keep the symptoms at bay. The dental surgeon here is extremely knowledgeable, and during our first appointment she spent nearly an hour explaining the condition, the surgery, the risks - even drew me little diagrams of a cat’s jaw to show me which teeth are hardest to remove - she put any worries I had at bay and I knew my girl would be safe in her hands. The surgery went well and I have been taking all of my cats here ever since. All of the vets I have seen here have been extremely thorough and knowledgable and I feel it’s one of the rare clinics in the city who truly cares about their patients health over profit. The receptionists are all wonderful as well. There is just a lot of care and warmth in this clinic and I am very grateful. If you’re considering taking your pets here, trust me just do it - you will never want to go elsewhere!

Fantastic experience: I recently switched to Birchwood for my cat and I have to say, I'm so happy I did. My former vet would make me feel like the absolute worst pet owner after every visit, to the point where I was scared to bring my animals in. I was either under feeding them, over feeding them, they were too fat, took thin, and I'm not doing anything right. It was a horrible feeling and left me with the worst "mom guilt". After bringing my cat to Birchwood, I received nothing but excellent care and support. I wasn't reprimanded for anything which reassured me that I'm actually not a bad pet owner. My cat reacted poorly to her meds, and when I called back to explain the issue, I was treated with care and compassion. Truly a very positive experience and I'm so grateful for them. I will now be moving the rest of my cats over to them for their continued care. Thanks Birchwood - every staff member I've dealt with so far has been amazing!!!

Negative experience: My car Harley went in to get a physical. They said she was a problem and needs sedation. I wasn't comfortable with that and they got upset. And it seems that they don't care enough to be slow and patient with animals. And just resort to sedatives. -melba Wozny

Fantastic experience: Staff are ALWAYS so welcoming and kind. Very clean building and appt. rooms. Best Doctors in Winnipeg i've dealt with. Switched over from a few others i've had my Boyz at. VERY gentle with giant breeds!! i HIGHLY recommend this Animal Hospital for every furchilds health needs.

Fantastic experience: Very nice staffs and facility!! It’s far from my house but this was the only vet my dog was less nervous to visit. Might even consider switching our vet to here! The examination fee was also free which is quite rare to find. Other vets charge $90 or even more for just examination fee but it was free here. Vet even gave me price options for low end and high end treatments for my dogs teeth problem.

Fantastic experience: We love the staff at Birchwood! They always take such good care of our cats. Our big guy had to have dental surgery as he lived quite the life as a swinging homeless bachelor previously, and they made him sooo comfortable. The surgery to remove 9 choppers (including his incisors ) went very well and he recovered very quickly. They checked up on us the next day and scheduled a follow up appointment promptly. They are kind, caring and thorough.

Positive experience: Not very impressed with front desk staff girl. Brought my animal there for help, not judgment. She didn't know the situation at all and acted like my animal was in the wrong hands with me for asking a simple question. The doctor was good and the 1st front desk lady was nice but, when leaving, you never want to feel judged when you're trying to help your animal and be consistent on their medication. Considering she was NOT in the room while the doctor talked to me, had a rude attitude with me, while not even knowing my animals gender.. makes no sense to act like that. Really rubbed me the wrong way. I normally leave 5 star reviews on places but this was not a good feeling. I'm not going to give lower stars either because I dont want to put everyone else's dedication to shame because of her.

Fantastic experience: We were new to Manitoba and we are so glad that we found this vet clinic for our new puppy. They have made the vet experience a fear free environment for our pup Freddy. The team is so understanding, empathic, and always has his health/mental health a priority. I highly recommend Dr Preston, Dr Robertson, and Dr Hannah - they were all great in caring for Freddy for his first year! Also, if you have to drive to the clinic, they have a parking lot which has been great to safely get our overexcited pup in and out of the car to the clinic.

Fantastic experience: The team here is fantastic, from the front staff to the techs and the wonderful Vet Dr. Schott. You couldn’t ask for a better team. My dog is partial to Connor, he’s such a kind person. We always feel warmly welcomed and like they really care about our dog. Dr.Schott is such a kind gentle man, he takes the time to explain the ultrasound as he’s doing it, and sits down with you afterwards to answer any questions. We really appreciate his kindness so much.

Fantastic experience: Was a little taken back on how inexpensive it was for a 9 month kittens shots, deworm meds and check up. The humans were really nice too. Will be doing that again for sure. Thank you.

Negative experience: Super disappointed with my experience at this clinic. They were recommended to me after a horrible experience elsewhere and they ended up being just as bad. My dog was experiencing horrible fainting spells for 3 months…Dr. Hinton was careless and instead of doing a CBC she put my dog Willow through test after test when her diagnosis could have been found through a simple blood test. Why wasn’t this done three months ago when her symptoms started? After expressing my frustration, Dr. Robertson took over and made the final diagnosis with recommendation of euthanasia. I sent an email asking to make sure there was nothing else I could do and all I got was her medical record. No response. The lack of care and compassion in this situation is extremely upsetting. My dog suffered for way longer than she had to and I will not be bringing my pets here ever again.

Fantastic experience: My pup has been going to Birchwood since I got him at 10 weeks. Always a great experience. Today I dropped him off to get neutered. Honestly, probably harder for me. When I dropped him off, the nurse came out to greet us. She made him feel special and put him at ease. I left him with his tail wagging and a smile on his face. When the girls called me after he woke up from surgery, they let me know he was awake and getting all the cuddles. I felt so much better to know he was treated with such care during such a scary experience for him. I have always liked the staff but now I feel so grateful for them. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: The staff were friendly. Our vet, Dr. Robertson was also very accommodating and patient during our visit. Our questions were answered, and we didn't feel rushed when we were trying to understand more about our cat's condition, and without hesitation, she explained it and helped us with the options available.

Fantastic experience: Went to see visiting surgeon Dr. Bebchuk. The clinic was clean, the room was nice and cozy, my dog felt at ease. The staff were friendy.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Boyd and staff were amazing to deal with! My dog was very ill and they were able to get me in immediately and thoroughly examine and diagnose my dog. The care and compassion provided in my state of panic was beyond customer service. I highly recommend this vet clinic to anyone

Fantastic experience: Very impressed. Went in with a new kitten on his 4th day home. He was sick! The clinic took him in later in the day 630pm on December 23. Heartley is has totally recovered. He had stomach issues. Now he eats drinks poops pees ....and plays for 4 hours straight lol Thanks BIRCHWOOD

Fantastic experience: I reached out to Birchwood Animal Hospital as my dog Theo was in need of an ultrasound for his heart. I explained that we lived 12 hours away and we were only in Winnipeg for Christmas. The front staff and I emailed back and forth and I got an appointment right away . I mentioned that because of a previous bad experience at the vet, Theo was extremely anxious , and needed to be sedated for every appointment, I was especially was worried about the ultrasound. The staff was so kind and reassured me that Dr Schott is great and that Theo would be comfortable during his appointment and that they didn't think he would need sedation. They were so understanding and and kind and didn't make me feel bad over his anxiety nor did they label him. Today was his visit and Dr Schott and his assistant were wonderful, they were so patient and understanding and they were able to complete the ultrasound without any issues. After the ultrasound he saw Dr Safiniuk, for a checkup. He was also so kind and knowledgeable and took his time with Theo. He was able to do an exam , again without sedation. He listened to our concerns and presented us with a treatment and options. I am so pleased with our visit today , Theo felt safe and was happy to be there, throughout his appointment his tail was wagging almost the whole time. This is the first time in a few years where we were able to take him to see a vet without having to sedate him. Thank you again to everyone at Birchwood Animal Hospital for being so kind and understanding and patient with Theo and making this experience the best one yet. We truly appreciate what you have done for us today .

Fantastic experience: Every experience we have had with all personnel at Birchwood Animal Hospital has been very positive. The front Desk people are amazing. You are always welcomed with a friendly smile. Their kindness, caring reception , and outstanding professionalism is a great way to start any experience with you fur baby. The Nursing staff is also as amazing. Our little puppy has unfortunately needed several exams and blood tests. The amazing care, tenderness and overall knowledge has made these experiences as calming as possible for our little guy. Dr Rempel is an awesome Veterinarian. His knowledge, care, professionalism, and overall compassion has been a wonderful experience. We are very confident and thankful to know our puppy is getting and will continue to receive the best care available.

Fantastic experience: BAH is fantastic. The staff are kind & caring. Dr. Preston is the best. She has been so dedicated in helping my older dog live his best life. Her compassion & knowledge has been so helpful it getting both of us thru some challenges. Highly recommend BAH to anyone looking for a new vet.

Fantastic experience: Both of our dogs have been patients at Birchwood since they were puppies and have always received excellent care from the staff there. The vet can be a frightening and overwhelming experience for animals, but the fact that our dogs love going there is a testament to the attentive, kind, gentle, caring, and knowledgeable staff.

Fantastic experience: A few weeks ago, I needed to get my aging cat euthanized. I was very sad and nervous because I had never had a pet die before. I was amazed at how thoughtful and compassionate the staff were. They really helped me feel at ease during this difficult time. One other thing I also wanted to mention is when I had trouble ordering from their website, a member of their staff actually phoned me to help. That was really helpful and totally went beyond what I was expecting. It went a long way towards easing the frustration I'd been experiencing.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rempel is our 2 dogs primary Vet since we moved from the other clinic that we weren’t happy with. He is always kind, caring and gentle with our babies. I really appreciate him taking time to checking our babies and explaining everything to us. Also the staffs are very friendly and kind. I am very happy with the clinic and Dr. Rempel. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We were referred here to take our 2y/o Labrador Retriever in for an echocardiogram to rule out heart disease. From entering the building to leaving it was nothing but a positive experience. The front staff were so wonderful and got us into the room quick. Dr Schott was extremely knowledgeable, gave our girl lots of cookies (which made the experience so good for her), and sent us on our way with some really great news. Fantastic experience: Both Drs Boyd and Robertson have taken care of my feisty 8 lb. poodle, Joe, who is a happy 17 years old in a gentle decline. This is an expensive time, which is only to be expected as old age brings infirmity, and both vets have been sensitive to the limits of my budget while we figure out Joe's best care. They have answered my questions in full and been willing to spend the time to educate me about Joe's issues. The service itself has been responsive to emergency calls (he just ate 4 giant chocolate cookies! He just had a seizure!) and I have gotten quick and useful advice over the phone without cost. All the staff, vets and support staff, have been kind, friendly, and easy to deal with. Finally, the costs have been cheaper than at two other veterinarian clinics I have used. I am very happy with Birchwood. Updated to say Joe is gone now and I have a new little dog with his own health problems, receiving exemplary care from the vets at Birchwood. Everybody, the many vets he has had to see because of his complicated health issues, an the support staff, are skilled and caring, and the costs remain fair. I love this place.

Fantastic experience: Very kind people, feel empathy towards the animals and do everything to help them. I'm glad my dogs final weeks were with loving and caring people instead of money hungry emergency hospital with no care in the world. May Latka always stay in our hearts. Fantastic experience: Look I’m not going to sugar coat it, vet services for our fur babies are not cheap. But for the love we get back from them, it at times seems like no price is too high. And I am convinced that I’ve got some of the finest vet services at Birchwood! We’ve seen numerous vets, and vet techs, and every one of them have been focused on our pets health and well being. Fantastic experience: We have been going to Birchwood Animal Clinic for 3 years, since Shiloh was a puppy. They are consistently caring, patient, thorough and professional! We feel very fortunate to have Dr. Hannah as Shiloh’s primary veterinarian, but when we’ve not been able to see her, we’ve always been pleased with all of the other doctors too! The techs and front line staff are all top notch as well! An amazing clinic for your fur babies!

Fantastic experience: After a bad experience at a different veterinary clinic, I fell upon Birchwood Animal Hospital and they were nothing short of amazing. My cat was very sick after having surgery elsewhere 5 days prior. I noticed that she had been acting funny ever since but my own vet couldn’t get me in until much later in the week. Birchwood got me in the same day and they treated my kitty like their own. They could have assessed her quickly and determined that euthanasia was the best option, but instead they requested her files from the previous vet and did further testing themselves. Unfortunately the tests revealed that her kidneys were failing and that our time together was coming to an end. The care didn’t stop there though. They went through all my options with me and explained the process of getting her ashes (they take care of the entire process), they even offer complimentary paw prints when you are forced to say goodbye to your furry family member. When the time comes for me to need a veterinarian again, I will 100% return!

Fantastic experience: My cat Tucker (the white blob in behind his tabby girlfriend) recently had his teeth cleaned at Birchwood Animal Hospital. He was well cared for despite all his hissing and the cost was very reasonable. They also had great follow up. Now if I can only get my scaredy cat semi-feral rescue in for a wellness check lol. (Currently won’t let me pet her), I’d trust them with a real challenge.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Birchwood are always very kind patient and caring and have been very supportive to us during some challenging times with our cat. They truly operate with the best interest of the animal at heart and it shows in everything they do.

Fantastic experience: My dog loves to go to the vet! His tail wags like crazy and he jumps in the car when I tell him where we’re going. Who wouldn’t want to go to Birchwood Animal Hospital. He gets such good care, tons of pats and attention, and of course yummy treats! The staff is wonderful and all the vets are kind and knowledgeable. We’d never go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Birchwood were very kind to me and my family. I did not have an appointment and my dog was in distress. Time was made for us and the staff ensured we were comfortable while waiting. Ended up having to put my dog down and was treated by Dr. REMPLE. He was compassionate and very clear about our options. We were given as much time as we needed. Considering it was the worst day for my family, we really appreciated and felt the kindness from the Staff. Thank you Dr. REMPLE and everyone else involved .

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a vet and they are taking new clients, use this review as the reason to call. I have been going to Birchwood for over 4 years and the service has been excellent. As a first time pet owner, they have gone above and beyond with the care for my two cats. Dr. Boyd is kind, knowledgeable, and truly cares about her work. Reception, assistants, and other vets have also been pleasant, going the extra mile in various occasions. Besides their excellent service, pricing is reasonable and affordable, plus they are quick to get back to you! I’ve found my vet for life.

Fantastic experience: My pets and I are always treated well at this clinic by everyone from the front desk to the various veterinarians themselves, all of the personnel that work here in fact. From the sorta fun routine visits to the not at all fun end of life ones, we always receive excellent, understanding, helpful and compassionate care.

Fantastic experience: I was referred here from my vet to have my dogs hearts checked with an ultrasound. From the minute I walked in I could not get over how wonderful this vet clinic was. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. After my appt I wanted to switch vet clinics. They were very apprehensive to take me on as a client. I explained that I wasn’t super happy with my current vet clinic. It’s been six years that the wonderful staff and vets have taken care of my past and present dogs. I am so happy that I switched vet clinics . Dr Hannah is the such a wonderful vet and always listens to my concerns. She’s also very good at what she does. Thanks for taking care of my dogs!

Fantastic experience: If you want your pet/pet’s taking care of properly, take them to BAH. The team/staff/vets are incredible with animals and for us have always shown the utmost respect and compassion for are pet’s. I switched from another clinic after friends recommended BAH to us and I doubt I will ever go elsewhere as long as we have pets in need of care. Thanks to all the staff at BAH for all your great efforts!

Fantastic experience: We've been taking both our dogs here for over a year. The Vets and Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Vets are very knowledgeable. One time we had to get one of our dogs dental surgery, and the Vets there were very understanding and forth coming with information about our options and info related to the procedure. We will continue to use them as our dog's veterinary hospital.

Fantastic experience: My dog had tplo done in both 2023 and 2024 (had 1 fixed then a year later she blew the other knee). Both times 10/10 service. Very upfront with their price quotes. Staff were amazing before and after surgery making sure to answer any questions I had as well as making sure I knew the post surgery protocol. Fantastic vet clinic.

Fantastic experience: Our cat Natasha recently passed away. I would like to thank Birchwood for all of her wonderful care over the years. They were able to give her an excellent quality of life in her last couple of years with her arthritis issues. The staff is the best in the city. I was very impressed with the hand written condolence card sent to us after they learned of Natasha’s passing. Birchwood is my first choice for a veterinarian hospital for any future pets.

Fantastic experience: Got a dog recently and had to pick a vet. This one is easily accessible right on portage. Parking is pretty good. They have 10-12 spots in the rear of the building and you can always park on the side roads nearby. Either dogs don’t poop or the clean around the building. Inside is nice. They have lots of staff on site to great you as you’re walking in. I recommended bringing your own treats for your furry friends but they do have some there. Support staff are super friendly and have show our dog plenty of attention while being there. The veterinarian has been super great seems be well knowledgeable able provincial diseases and things to watch out for. Is super gentle and nice to us humans and our dog. As for money, in this case you got yourself a pet if you want them around longer and not to get sick sometimes you got to folk over some cash. Will continuing going here would recommend for any dog or cat owners out there!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff and a great location The staff are always very helpful and i never feel rushed during appointments. all my questions get in-depth answers and i didn't get shamed for my one cat being overweight. Gave great, constructive advice and followed up with emails.

Fantastic experience: Dr Hannah was amazing!!!! She was great with not only my dogs but my young kiddos that I brought with me! She was patient, throughout and kind! Would definitely reccomend!

Fantastic experience: Birchwood animal hospital was wonderful to my dog Toby. He needed immediate care and they were booked. They gave me the option of dropping him off and a vet would take care of him in between appointments. Toby got the help he needed and I got a call from the doctor with all the details of what she did for him. When I picked him up he was calm, happy and not in pain. I definitely recommend taking your animals here.

Fantastic experience: A visit to Birchwood is a very pleasant experience. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Appointments are on time and vets show interest in the animal and are interested in life at home too. All questions are answered thoughtfully.

Fantastic experience: We were clients at this clinic before our out of province move in 2011. As soon as we found out we were coming back to Winnipeg, we knew this was the place we wanted our current fur babies to be seen. If you know Boston Terriers, then you know they hide pain. When ours was yelping and hiding in her kennel we knew she was hurting. The clinic was able to fit her in early the next morning. The staff were so gentle with her, and very understanding of her idiosyncrasies. By the time we left she was more relaxed (pain not withstanding), our concerns were well addressed, and we had the best way forward. I can’t express how happy we are to be back with this team of caring and compassionate professionals!

Fantastic experience: I appreciate the thoroughness Dr. Boyd-Santelli displayed while examining my old kittycat. I also appreciate her high energy and warmth and the length of time she spent with us. She went over the instructions for the meds with me. I did not feel rushed. The young woman who prepared the meds also went over it with me and was very kind. Thank-you Birchwood Animal Hospital!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hannah was amazing as always. She called to check on Pumpkin and give her test results. Everyone is always so professional and caring. As soon as you walk through the door you know you are in good hands. The staff always makes sure my nervous dog is cared for and made to feel comfortable.

Fantastic experience: My vet (Dr. Rumpel?) and the assistant or technician (I forget whether she told me her name, sorry) were both very kind, attentive, gentle, and thorough with my middle aged cat. They were also honest and transparent with regards to the pricing and necessity of further scans and diagnostics, which I really appreciated. I have already recommended your clinic to my roommate, and would tell anyone I know to come here for vet care/checkups. Reception was also very sweet to us. So happy with our visit! Fantastic experience: Our Yorkie, Kirby, had a surgical procedure done to his leg. The staff was incredibly nice and treated Kirby like the prince that he thinks he is. Thank you to everyone at Birchwood Animal Hospital for making the experience for Kirby and us less traumatic than we expected.

Fantastic experience: Birchwood has provided emergency care to my cat and also my dog in recent years. They were able to see my animals on the day that they each required emergency care. They kept me informed and were responsive to my calls and concerns. They provided a written estimate for cost of treatment for me to agree to and the care provided fell within that estimate range. My animals are alive and well. That is the most important factor.

Fantastic experience: My tuxedo cat Hercules went in for dental surgery. The experience was top drawer from start to finish. You could tell that the staff loved their jobs and the animals in their care. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: Professionalism is lacking. *Edit - Supposedly talked to owner and listed numerous basic issues and the response was to GASLIGHT me. "i have never had X complaint in 33 years" GIVE ME A BREAK **I have no issue personally with the staff that work there they were very friendly.** My issue is with the way the clinic is being run and basic things that should be done are not being done. - Why do I have to explain why im there 3 times - Why can't they get my name right in their system - Why can't the vet assistant hold a cat that is a completely friendly and docile. - Why are they using a useless PetMD app that can't even tell you that the time you requested is not available and then rebook you to a completely different date without asking? Maybe I can't make those dates? You're just making extra work for the client.

Fantastic experience: Ita always a wonderful experience, whether we bring in our dog, or one of the cats! It was a weird situation with Robin, but the staff was wonderful, kind and attentive to our Lil Mama. Robin had a rough labour, taking about 2 or 3 days total with 1 still born in the beginning. She ended up birthing 4 beautiful and healthy baby kittens. We brought them in not even 24 hours old, just because of the whole situation and how we didn't know Robin was pregnant when she first came home.. The doctor, nurse, and all staff were better than expected! Very informative as I have no knowledge on any of this. Birchwood is a great vet to go for any animal. They are so wonderful! At the end of the appointment some staff even came to give Robin and her kittens so love and attention! My dogs first appointment went over just so they could play with her a bit. This means everything to me! I want my pets to feel safe and loved going to the vet, not scared and aggressive.... I'm so glad that each Birchwood staff member makes my pets feel just as good as safe as they do at home! Fantastic experience: I want to first share a heartfelt thank you to the team, and specifically Dr. Remple, at Birchwood Animal Hospital for offering such considerate service and care during such a sensitive time. My Mom and I had the unfortunate duty of letting our 16-year-old pup go and the team provided an experience that made it as comfortable as possible. They offered us the private room in the back, with payment in the room and many other things, but what really made me and my Mom want to write this review was that Dr. Remple sent a handwritten card to us after the matter that truly had thought to it and we can't thank the team enough. If you have to go through the same experience, I can strongly say that Birchwood Animal Hospital handled it with care and I recommend taking your pets here.

Fantastic experience: Birchwood is always amazing. Clean and friendly establishment. Vets are compassionate and caring. It takes us an hour to drive there now but will continue to come here due to the great service we always receive. A few years ago when I had to take one of my furbabies to the emergency vet, we got a call from birchwood to make sure everything was okay!!!

Negative experience: We had different pets brought there and we were treated ok. But they hired this woman and promoted her to manager...since then the place is going downhill. Our older cat got sick and this cat was very special, to both of us. I couldnt go cause i just started a new job. But my husband brought him. He was very upset and stressed, maybe not thinking right. Well she talked him into surrendering the cat. She pushed him into it...and wouldnt stop. We gave this cat alot of love over the years...16 years to be exact and it was stolen from us...because my husband is an elder and in poor health, they made him sign away our silver tabby, which meant the world to us. If they could of waited, I would have helped ...
