Fantastic experience: This place ROCKS with warm, friendly staff along with their knowledge and abundant skills! Highly recommend

Negative experience: I dont know how this vet receives so many 5 star reviews, I didn't even step foot in this place as the treatment I received over the phone was atrocious. I asked simple questions, regarding rates and what they charge for basic things such as X rays, extractions, and other common procedures and I was told I had to pay $120 just to come in to get that information, they would not provide it over the phone. The tone, and manner in how I was treated was mind-blowing. Either this vet could care less about acquiring new clients/patients, or the reception staff are sour and foul. I took my business elsewhere as I dont care to be treated like that. Thinking if thats how they treat new prospective clients, how would they treat my dog when Im not around. Since my phone encounter with Lakewood I have run into many people here in regina who share my experience, and Im so happy I did not provide this company a cent of my money, or intrust my beloved dog in their care. I wish I would have recorded the phone call, it was really that bad. Took me off guard.

Fantastic experience: We have been going here for years and always get wonderful care! Everyone from the veterinarians (special shout out to Dr Eyford and Dr Cross) to the compassionate vet techs who have gotten to know my cats well from seeing them monthly for their Solensia injections to the welcoming receptionists. Wonderful team who I fully trust and rely on regularly !!

Fantastic experience: I have always had a positive experience with Lakewood. They are so compassionate. I recently put our cat to rest and it was by far the most peaceful passing I've experienced. I walked into the room highly stressed and anxious and the room was calm, the lights were dim and they had on calming music. I immediately relaxed as did my kitty. She went peacefully and thats all I could have asked for her. 10/10 would recommend for all your veterinary needs.

The staff treated Princess with gentleness and dignity from the moment we arrived. Every step was explained clearly and calmly, without rushing us, and we were given the time and space we needed to say goodbye. Their care extended not only to Princess, but to us as a family during an incredibly emotional moment. Nothing felt clinical or impersonal. The team showed genuine empathy, handled Princess tenderly, and created a quiet, comforting environment that allowed her to pass peacefully, surrounded by love. We are truly grateful for the kindness, professionalism, and care shown to Princess and to our family during one of the hardest moments. Our doctor, Dr. Stathmann, is invaluable, knowledgeable and very compassionate, and the assistants are gentle. Our kitties are always very comfortable at their appointments. Fantastic experience: My yorkie sees Dr. Cross and extremely knowledgeable and listens to your concerns. She gets cytopoint injections every month due to allergies and the techs are amazing! One stop place for her specialty food as well. Can not recommend enough!

Love this clinic. All of my pets have always been treated well. We’ve been patients of Lakewood for more than 20 years. No one compares.

With Potter and with previous pets, and with every staff member we interact with. This time, Potter's visit was for a check up. Dr Powers was very thorough. I had no unanswered questions. We also had a few chuckles about Potter's breed.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Lakewood Animal Hospital are so compassionate and took such good care of my kitty while he was sick. Don Powers gave him exceptional care while he was there and saved my kitty’s life while also taking the time to explain to me how to care for him back at home. The vet techs also followed up with me and were super helpful in answering all my questions. I am so grateful for the work they have done for my kitty would highly recommend this clinic to family and friends.

Fantastic experience: On Thursday December 4th, we called the clinic in crisis at 730 a.m. and the staff at the clinic made the necessary arrangements for Dr. Fran Walker and Brianne to attend our home within hours, to help our 11 year old precious rottweiler, Sampson, take his last breath. Our boy was in pain and could not stand and we could not lift him. The clinic staff were so compassionate and made it work for Dr. Walker and Brianne to come quickly to our home to help our precious boy. We are forever grateful to you both and all the staff or helping us in this difficult time. Sampson was our prince and the love of our lives. You made his passing easier on him and for us and we thank you so very much.

Fantastic experience: The staff is always so happy, gentle with my dog, and polite. I never leave upset or having any questions because everything is gone through thoroughly. And they don’t give unnecessary prescriptions or bad advice that’s just a money gouge which is really nice! I’ve taken my dog here since he was born and it’s been 8 years and I’ve never had one complaint yet.

Fantastic experience: IF ONLY......there were more gems in the veterinary field like Dr. Sthamann at Lakewood Animal Hospital in Regina! Holistic veterinary care at its best, keeping her clients' budgets in mind, Dr. Sthamann shared deep wisdom and a lifetime of personal and profession in-depth learning with me about our pets' nutrition needs and very practical strategies related to vaccinations and neutering. She thinks outside the box while keeping things practical and she was great with my pup. We need more practitioners like Dr. Sthamann with open minds and holistic health knowledge to help educate pet owners and their families about our interconnected natures and what we are potentially missing in our busy, conventional life routines. Great supportive staff. I drove 2.5 hours to experience this kind of care and attention to detail.

Fantastic experience: I brought my dog Boomer in to Lakewood Animal Hospital and saw Dr. Reitsma — who I actually used to see back when she was at Sherwood! It was so nice to reconnect and have her care for Boomer again. She’s always been incredibly kind, patient, and thorough. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals and takes the time to explain everything clearly. The whole team at Lakewood was friendly and professional, and very patient with Boomer, as he gets anxious at the vet. I really appreciate the care and attention he received — we’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Powers and Lakeview clinic have been taking care of our furry family members for many, many years. They are the absolute best and I wouldn’t take my babies anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Hospital was full - as in no new patients - at the time that I had called, but the person I dealt with on the phone was incredibly thoughtful about the situation and by the seems of it if you can get in with them the lead times aren't terribly bad. Would consider in the future!

Positive experience: The front staff are great, as are three veterinarians as well! You will have to wait a bit to see the doctor you want some days, and it's almost always better to call to book anything rather than the app they use, but I know both my cat and dog have been treated very well here!

Negative experience: Not accepting patients at this time. If reception is going to speak fast and only once they need to work on their enunciation so that people understand every single word said or slow down when speaking. Treating everyone equally is important even potential future clients despite what the landscape of doctors looks like now. When you have lots of doctors you won't have the patients because of the phone manners. Please work on turning people down better thank-you.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Skific has been my vet for 20 years. Her knowledge and expertise is invaluable to me. She will tell me exactly what we’re dealing with even if it’s not something good and she is honest with what treatments or tests she would recommend. I never feel like I’m being pushed to do tests for the clinic to make money as I have felt at other vet clinics. She genuinely cares about her patients. The staff are always polite, will try to accommodate us when something is urgent, call or text to let us know when prescriptions are ready and are organized. At our last visit with Smokey the tech did a demo of how to give the Solensia injection so my husband can do it at home so we don’t have to stress Smokey every month with the visit. One of the staff at the front desk also offered us a feliway blanket to put over his carrier since they knew he was very stressed out. These little things show your clinic has compassion.

Fantastic experience: My dog Shelby has been coming to this clinic for years.. Her Doctor over the last couple of years, Dr.Eyford has always been so kind and gentle towards both of us. This past week, when it became known that the best course of action would be to put Shelby to sleep, all the staff were so kind and caring. Yesterday when Shelby went to sleep in my arm I know in my heart that she felt surrounded by love.. Just before she received her first sedation injection, she looked up from my arms and gave me 2 doggie kisses. It was her final I love you goodbye.. Tho my heart is broken and I miss her so much, I will always remember her in my heart, and I will also remember the kindness and caring we were shown during our time of need.

Fantastic experience: December of 2024 we had to say goodbye to our sweet 15 and half year old dog Jasper it was very sad and the hardest thing I had to do but the whole process from having a reserved parking spot to being brought in through the back being able to hold our boy right till the end the staff were awesome and compassionate and Dr. Sthamann is very caring and knows and understands how much we love our pets ❤️ thank you

Fantastic experience: Lakewood has always been trusted by myself from the time i got my first dog Lilo as a puppy. The biggest thing for me is the holistic, realistic approach that I also use myself as a health care worker. It’s a balance. When Lilo had her first seizure at 13, I called “Dogtor Don” (as he’s affectionately known in our house). Having established a 13 yr relationship, he knew that we weren’t going to be doing any extraneous measures. That has continued with Tux and Wickett. Always on the same page. I can honestly say the whole team has been fabulous. Dr Emily Horan(I think that was her name) was so gracious to accommodate a video call when I was our of province and Lilo & Tux were both sick. As the torch is being passed from Dr’s Sthamann & Powers, Dr’s Skific; Cross & Eyeford have definitely given a lot of comfort knowing they are continuing to follow their lead. Also cannot say enough about the rest of the Lakewood team. From the consistency of the front Management, Vet Techs, Care Team and Vet Assistants. We have never have been treated with anything but care & respect. So appreciate you all!

Fantastic experience: We have been taking our animals to Lakewood for a few years now. Our first foster (foster fail) had distemper and the way they handled him was absolutely amazing. We got so much more time with him than was ever thought to be possible upon receiving his diagnosis. He struggled with seizures and significant brain damage for the duration of his life and the veterinarians and techs at Lakewood were right there with us through it all and sincerely worrying and rooting for him along side us. Monday night our other dog did some snooping and ate nearly his entire container of allergy meds (56 apoquel). We found out quickly that this is very very serious, and when we took Taro to Lakewood they went absolutely above and beyond for our boy. Though we are not completely in the clear with him yet, Dr. Cross got us through an absolutely terrible scenario and I had to share how thankful our family is for this clinic and the amazing staff within it.

Fantastic experience: I called Lakewood with a serious concern about my dog and the admin staff got me in to see someone the next day. Both the doctor and support staff were all very kind and gentle with my pup who is 17, and they were able to resolve the issue and provide me with helpful information about home care should the issue arise again. I'm grateful to everyone at Lakewood Animal Hospital, it's obvious that they really care.

The vet took time to listen to our concerns and when time for options on treatment nothing was forced upon us but explained in great detail and many options were given. Fantastic experience: We moved to this clinic after a disastrous experience with the Victoria Veterinary Clinic. I couldn’t be happier that we made the change. A wide range of allopathic and alternative care modes are provided. The staff and the vets are always thorough and patient. The clinic is clean, spacious and inviting. I live in another part of town but it’s well worth the extra drive.
