Expérience fantastique: Dr Sparks and the rest of the team have been fantastic with my two cats. Whenever we come in, we immediately get into a room to make sure the cats aren’t overly stressed. They’re always so understanding, great listeners, and provide great advice! I couldn’t have asked for a better team.

Expérience fantastique: Edit update to original review: it's been about 5 years or so since we started coming here and it has always been a great experience for us and our pets. They have a separate waiting area for cats and they have calming cat pheromones to put your cat at ease. The rooms are also warm which is what is actually appropriate for cats since room temperature for them is actually higher than for us. They're so gentle when they handle our cats and I find I never have to wait long for any appointment whether that's with the vet tech or the vet. We're also encouraged to email any questions that we have! We have definitely recommended this clinic to our friends! I'm so glad we found Cedarview Animal Hospital. What made me choose this hospital was how impressed I was with their staff who answered the phone. They are thorough! We have just moved provinces and needed to pick up a supplement for my cat. I wasn't a client of theirs but they made sure they understood the situation regarding my cat's health to ensure this was the best thing for him. Other vet hospitals in the past that I've picked up this supplement didn't take the time to do this. I knew then I wanted to make this place our new vet. Recently one of our kitties needed to be seen and they were able to get us in quickly. They have covid precautions in place and the veterinarian was very thorough with our little ones care, explaining everything to us and making sure they had all the right information to make an appropriate assessment. It's been easy to order food/supplements from them and they even took care and submitted insurance for us, something I know not all vets do! Finding this place has been one less thing to worry about in the big move we made, now if only finding a family doctor was this easy ;)

Expérience fantastique: Very pleasant and kind by phone and upon arrival, and thorough and unrushed examinations and discussions with the Technicians and Doctors. I highly recommend their reproductive services for professional breeders, and for family pet care. They are extremely well organized and staffed by true professionals. They treat us humans with the same level of kindness as they do our pets. Whether visiting as a professional breeder or to say goodbye to a beloved family member, they've always been compassionate - to all of us - and this is rare.

Her professionalism, knowledge and gentle approach truly stand out. Dr. Randa explains every step clearly and works in a smooth, easy way that immediately builds trust. She is exceptionally patient, kind and well-mannered, which makes a significant difference, especially for anyone who feels anxious about dental visits. During the checkup, the doctor was extremely thorough and gave me a lot of excellent advice and information that was clear. I took my dog here for rehabilitation over 4 years ago. The same staff were there and remembered my dog when we came in. It was overall a great experience. Highly recommend checking this place out for dog rehabilitation.

When I was desperately calling hospitals trying to find help, Cheyenne and especially Shannon were so patient and kind. Shannon took her time to really listen, gather all of Bianca’s information, and help get it in front of the doctor — she made me feel safe and cared for in a moment when I was terrified. Sara and Laura were also so pleasant and welcoming when we arrived, and every technician we met was gentle and genuine, even though I didn’t catch all their names. We look forward to meeting Dr. Sparks tomorrow for her next injection. You can tell this entire team truly loves the animals they care for — they treat them like family, not just patients. Dr. Holmes went above and beyond — researching and explaining every possible option, including a non-traditional approach that gave Bianca a chance to heal in the kindest way. His compassion and dedication were beyond what I could have hoped for. This was one of the scariest experiences of my life, but everyone there made it feel calm, supported, and full of hope. Expérience fantastique: This was our first visit to Cedarview & I must say I was impressed with the level of service from the reception to the specialist Dr Gumley. I would recommend this clinic for sure.

Expérience négative: I never write negative reviews, but I've also never been treated so poorly by an establishment. To be clear, the veterinarians at Cedarview Animal Hospital are wonderful. Their management team however, are horrible. After bringing my two dogs to them for 5+ years, which included thousands of dollars in spend, there was a discrepancy earlier this year with a bill. I was being charged for something that my insurance had approved to cover, and the clinic kept sending me a statement of account with an amount I didn't owe. I raised this to them, and received no support to correct it. Then, one of my dogs passed away unexpectedly this summer, and my other dog was diagnosed with stage 3 CKD - for which she began to be treated by a specialist outside of the clinic. This resulted in not getting into the clinic for my dog's regular appointment time before the summer. Despite informing the clinic of the errors, and more recently informing them of the circumstances with my two dogs, they continued to try to collect the amount that was not accurate. I finally booked my dog's regular check-up appointment, with the intention of going through all statements in detail at that time - and they cancelled the appointment the night before (even though she is ill and needs treatment and medication) and sent me to collections for the inaccurate amount owing. I have also had other less than pleasant experiences with their management team in past as well. They have little to no empathy or compassion, and prioritise profit over all else - even when they are in the wrong. Their facilities and veterinarians are amazing, but I would avoid this clinic at all cost if you ever have an issue outside of just paying for their services out of pocket without question. It's incredibly disappointing.

The vet and vet techs were so informative and gave me the reassurance that my dog is in good hands there. The price was great and will certainly bring my other animals there. The hospital was clean, beautifully decorated and was greatly with only smiles.

My dog has a ton of anxiety and they are always so kind about it and always finding new ways to help him. I also love that they can direct bill Trupanion for me and takes the hassle out of dealing with all of that too. Definitely recommend!!

All front desk people are very nice and helpful, I always get an answer in a timely manner, all the technicians we have ever seen were nothing but kind and knowledgeable, and Dr. Sparks changed my dog’s life for the better unlike any other vet could. Last time she was seen by another vet who was just as empathetic and skillful as Dr Sparks (I forgot her name, maybe Dr Wong?). Always wonderful!

In my pet’s case, a referral was made to the emergency hospital and all records were efficiently transferred and information was shared. Very pleased with the efficiency, professionalism and competency of this clinic.

Expérience négative: My new CRV was dented by an Amazon driver smashing his van door into it while I was parked in front of the Cedarview vet entrance. As I stood in line at this vet the driver actually came inside and delivered a package to the reception desk. A few minutes after I drove away I noticed the dent and made a police report. The office manager Laura refused to provide my insurance company with the Amazon order number so they could track down the driver. The repair bill, for which I was totally responsible, was $700. Reply: I noticed the dent 5 minutes after I left the office and I called immediately to let reception know. If you had security camera footage, why wasn’t it handed over to my insurance company as evidence when they contacted you? If my car was not damaged in your parking lot surely the video would have exonerated the other driver and nobody’s job would be “on the line”. Why are you helping the driver who recklessly damaged my new car?

Expérience fantastique: Amazing service from start to finish, the moment we walked in the door we were greeted and immediately taken to the cat waiting room, which definitely helped keep Lychee less stressed from other dogs that were barking at her. Being 1st time cat owners, Doctor Andrew Holmes was extremely helpful and informative about everything we needed to know and answered all of our questions with thoughtful answers. Reaching out through message the day after to checkup on Lychee after her vaccines also shows how much they care for their patients. 10/10 experience, would highly recommend to any cat owner!

Even before switching vets, I called to see if they were accepting new patients after reading their rave reviews. Damian answered the phone and was so incredibly kind and efficient. It really makes a difference in choosing a clinic based on who answers. I immediately knew I made the right choice based on his positive attitude and amazing customer service. The switch was seamless and smooth to transfer everything over. We met with Dr. Wong today who was very down to earth, taking her time to explain everything to us. She validated our experiences and trauma we’ve had with our dog in the past and did not judge us for it at all. She allowed us to make informed choices based on all the information she had available and answered all our questions honestly. Plus, she was just so kind and lovely to us and our little Bubba! We feel so reassured having made the switch! Everyone from customer care to technicians to vet were all just so above and beyond wonderful. Thank you to all for a great visit.

I started bringing my dog here after a bad experience at another clinic that pushed him to growl at the vet and left him extremely nervous. Dr. Wong & Vet Tech Kristen have been supportive, kind and patient during every visit - they allow you to book “happy visits” to work on your dogs positive association to the vet and these have been a game changer for my dog. My dog went from visible shaking when entering a vet clinic to excited and bouncy walking into the clinic, went through a whole physical exam and received vaccinations without even noticing. The staff understands dogs and their behaviour like no vet clinic I’ve ever experienced before and truly care about their patients. I have nothing but good things to say about this clinic, I recommend them to anyone I talk to.

Chantal (RVT) was able to get me in promptly for an appointment with Dr.Gumley, who did a thorough assessment and was able to make a diagnosis and plan. The receptionists were awesome and were able to forward book my appointments with the rehab team. The clinic environment was clean and bright. They really worked hard to accommodate my dogs behaviour issues and make her feel comfortable. I would gladly refer friends/family to this clinic. I have experienced emergency pet care, surgery, regular checkups and have participated in the process when you put a pet to sleep. I have been going there for a number of years even though it’s a bit of a drive from where I live. It is well worth it to have confidence in the team. He’s had some health issues recently and we just weren’t happy with the quality of care at his previous veterinary clinic in Barrhaven. The minute we walked in we were greeted by the most wonderful and caring front desk employees. We then met with the vet tech who was kind caring and extremely patient with Theo. He loved the treats she gave him and we were surprised he took them from her. She had a super calming energy and that’s what Theo needed. Then we had the pleasure of meeting with Dr Sparks. He instantly went down to the floor to meet and greet Theo and took his time with him before the exam. I think his approach made a huge difference with calming him. This was by far the most thorough exam Theo has ever had in his entire 5 years. He explained every single finding or reason for the areas he was examining. Dr Sparks was soft spoken extremely patient and gentle. He continually asked us if we had any concerns or questions as he was examining Theo. He answered all our concerns and never made us feel like they were of no importance. This in itself was a huge difference from his other vet.Theo remained calm during the entire exam. We left feeling extremely confident that we made the right move in transferring to this clinic. I would highly recommend reaching out to them. Trust your judgment on who you are trusting to take care of your much loved pets. I wish we had transferred much sooner because I know without a doubt that during Theo’s health challenges we would have felt supported and informed.I know we are extremely grateful for the compassion and kindness received by everyone here. I have been to almost every Doctor there, had multiple successful surgeries for my pet and even had outside consultants bring in excellent additional care. It can be expensive and you are given options based on what you can afford. That is really what separates them as a clinic/hospital. Expérience fantastique: Took my dog for first appointment at the clinic. Everyone was super friendly, vet and tech even sat on the floor to make my dog feel comfortable. They followed up next day to see how my dog was doing after having multiple shots. 100% recommended!

Expérience négative: Normally a phenomenal animal Hospital. However today I had an interaction with a male staff and I was very disappointed. My dog is suffering and the man refused to take her, even though the dog is registered with them. Then the male staff member tells me I have to go to the emergency animal hospital on AltaVista… even though they have my dog in there system. I think the man working need to have empathy as animals are suffering and refusing people to see the vet. Very sad and disappointed about my experience that I had and hope no one else need to go through a situation like that.

They have no interest in upselling their clients - they base their service recommendations on what will be best for your fur baby, so it was very affordable! Expérience fantastique: Cedarview Animal Hospital has truly set the gold standard for veterinary care for us! So much so, we are more than willing to do a 4-hour round-trip for our appointments. As a stressed dog mom with a fear-aggressive dog, I was anxious about how our first visit would go. From the moment I stepped through their doors, the team put both me and my dog, Charli, at ease. Dr. Holzman was exceptional — confident, compassionate, and clearly very experienced. Despite Charli being stressed and uncomfortable, Dr. Holzman handled her with such patience and skill that I couldn’t be happier with how it all went. The staff went above and beyond to make sure Charli received the best possible care, creating an environment where she felt as safe as possible and I felt supported. They took the time to answer all of my questions and offered thoughtful solutions. Expérience fantastique: We have a very big, nervous dog. Dr. Bell sat on the floor for 1 hr with her. Many treats given and even got some cheese whiz on in her muzzle. I can't even begin to express my complete appreciation for their patience and dedication to our Smudge I'd give 6 stars if I could!!

Expérience fantastique: By far the most knowledgeable and thorough veterinarian visit we have ever had after having 5 dogs over the past 25 years. We were very very impressed after this first assessment for our dog's ACL injury. Dr. Gumley gave our 12 year old golden doodle a VERY thorough physical, showed us using skeletal models what the issues were with our dogs legs and spine to ensure we understood. We now have a plan for our dog going forward to hopefully get him more comfortable. We feel we are in the best possible hands that we could be at Cedarview. The support staff was absolutely excellent as well. Very knowledgeable and helpful and obviously cared. We start physio with Cedarview today.

Expérience fantastique: The Cedarview team as a whole seems a real reflection of what a veterinary practice should be and is readily observed. The facility is impeccably clean and pleasing. The front staff is welcoming and easy to deal with. The vet we dealt with is knowledgeable and explains the medical side clearly. Their love and care of both pets and their people is obvious. We have had them care for our little Pug-Boston for many years. Our family recently had the unfortunate circumstance to be sold a cute young kitten with a well-designed transfer form from a seemingly trustable source under the notion it was dealing with a minor ailment and on the mend with the typical medication. All the usual shots and fixing were already completed. We were given the invoices of care, medications and tracking information. We had bought all the things to care for our new addition. In reality the poor little kitten had a serious life-threatening disease and had to be put to sleep only one week after it was transferred to us. Those on the office team who worked with us and Dr. Holzman showed incredible speed, compassion and responsive support as we went through this shocking and unexpected process much too early. It was very sad to see the little boof suffer as we waited just the few days for our appointment even though he had the proper pain medication for the time between. He was literally in dying before our family's eyes. Dr. Holzman adjusted her schedule in this unique situation to ensure the kitten was given the final deserved care he needed. We appreciate and commend her dedication. In the end, poor little "Brogle" is now where he should have been a lot time ago and not suffering in confusion and pain. Thank you Cedarview for the extra special care and your love of of the animals in your care and your trade. You are gems.

Dr. Sparks and RVT Lisa Scheuner are incredible - patient, friendly, and incredibly understanding of my sensitive pup. They took the time to ensure my dog felt comfortable, which meant the world to us. The receptionist and all staff members were also exceptionally kind and welcoming. Can’t recommend them highly enough! They’ve truly been a lifesaver for us.

I've had most of my visits with Dr. Limbrick and she's always been extremely thorough, while allowing me to make the decisions related to my pet. The office has also snuck me into last minute appointments a few times. Highly recommend!!

Expérience fantastique: Absolutely wonderful experience with the staff, doctors and Sarah B in the rehab center. Sarah helped out our little Freddie SO MUCH in his rehabilitation and the doctors setting proper expectations for his recovery was gentle and compassionate. The front desk staff were so sweet and always remembered Freddie and seemed so happy to see him each time. A truly genuine experience. Expérience fantastique: I don’t often post reviews, but I had an amazing experience after visiting the clinic today with my cat!! The service was GREAT, super quick, and you could really tell that everyone really cared about the pets there. Dr. Limbrick was so so nice as well as thorough while examining my cat. The clinic also has a lot of in-house testing so it won’t take days/weeks to get back results for your pet!! I had a bad experience at another veterinary hospital, so I was wary of taking my cat to a new clinic, but I am so glad I did because CAH and their service really blew me away. Thank you so much!!

Expérience fantastique: Quick service and friendly staff. Welcoming environment. They love seeing your pets come in and know all of their names. It is a welcoming, full service environment they even have a coffee bar. They have a website which allows you to track your appointments etc as well as a site to order food for pick up or delivery.

Expérience négative: Can you believe they charge a ridiculous $144 for a consultation that lasted about 3–5 minutes?? We scheduled an appointment for our puppy's second vaccination, and what a waste of time it turned out to be. We waited for 20 minutes, only for the doctor to breeze in, spend a few minutes petting our dog, ask a few generic questions, and give the vaccine. Do they charge by seconds? How much per second?? The doctor displayed a lack of expertise when it came to Australian Shepherds. All we got was a baseless comment about our puppy being overweight, which we later confirmed to be normal through a quick Google search. Plus, the assistant kept trying to sell us stuff like pet insurance and training classes, even though we just wanted a shot for our pup, which we made clear on the phone and in person.We came for a vaccination, not a sales pitch!

They really go the extra mile to make sure your pet feels comfortable and gets extra love. The vets are extremely knowledgeable and will patiently explain the treatment options at all different price points. I highly recommend this clinic.

Expérience fantastique: I highly recommend Cedarview Animal Hospital. The administrative staff, the assistants and Dr. Holzman are absolutely wonderful. Going to the vet has always caused extreme anxiety for my 6 year old border collie. The very caring nature of everyone at Cedarview made Molly's first visit a huge success. The hospital itself is nice and modern. Molly's appointment was not rushed in any way, her examination to determine the source of her chronic pain was very thorough and the treatment options were clearly explained.

Expérience fantastique: I do not have enough good things to say about Cedarview Animal Hospital and Dr. Sparks. They have been super comprehensive when it came to my dogs care and have never made me feel rushed. When I had an emergency, they made time for my dog immediately and not only gave him a thorough exam and treatment, they had already called around to be able to give me quotes for potential aftercare (ie: hospitalisation at a 24/h hospital; costs of various infusions etc). My dog does not like vets and they have gone above and beyond to make him feel comfortable. They invited us to come for some "friendly visits" so that my dog could get treats and walk around the examination rooms and sniff everything.

Expérience fantastique: We love this clinic. The staff and doctors always take the necessary time to get our dog comfortable with them before proceeding with the medical stuff. She waits for them to come in wagging her tail because she knows they will be kind and caring and give lots of treats.

Expérience négative: I’m not entirely sure where to even begin when writing this, but knew our experience at this clinic needed to be shared. We had been going to this vet for 2 years now as they are reproductive specialists and we are trying to start breeding with our female Malinois. Last year they collected sperm samples from a sire we loved and so we trusted them with our dogs. Our Malinois only goes into heat once a year and so our possibilities of reproducing are lower. Hence why we get her progesterone tested based off of the clinics recommendations. The first blood sample they collected, we were present for and it could not have gone more smoothly, and she could not have been more cooperative. She shows little fear at all and loves people. The third time we brought her in to check her levels, the vet tech took our dog into the back, asked if she could have some beef liver treat which we said yes and were gone a few minutes. Shortly after the vet tech came out and told us that our dog had been given a lickmat with wet food smeared on it and she had ingested it. Neither of which had been discussed with us. They tried to induce vomiting for over an hour to no avail. Then a doctor had to come in on his day off to try to perform an endoscopy on our dog, which they also had no luck in. The vet said he did not think that our dog could pass this approximately 10 inch lickmat, and so she required a full on foreign body retrieval. I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of knowledge on my working breed dog, as well as the lack of acknowledgement of this knowledge, the lack of professionalism and from what the hospital owner was like, their sincerity. If they were uncertain of how to handle this breed of dog it should have been told to us and we would have taken our business and dogs lives elsewhere, they are lucky the outcome was the best possible, some dogs do not wake up from anesthesia. The stress on her body along with the healing process was a nightmare and something I hope to never have to go through again. I just hope they have learned from this experience and do not take on more than they can chew just for the business. If you are going to this clinic I recommend speaking with Dr. Bell. He was patient, considerate and essentially saved our dogs life coming in when he did not have to.

Expérience fantastique: I changed to Cedarview Animal Hospital because of difficulty getting an appointment at a VCA animal hospital. I got an appointment less than 24 hours after I phoned. The staff are smiley and there is an excellent atmosphere. It is apparent that staff are happy working here and morale is good. The vet and tech were both great, and very caring with my dog. All my questions were answered. The vet respected my views and opinions. Great job, Cedarview!

Expérience fantastique: They took us in last year when our regular vet of over 35 years told us to just go to emerge for a bladder issue. I called Cedarview and we were able to get in the next day. I love the friendly service. They are very attentive and each vet we have seen has given it their all and especially during COVID have made it a great experience for our canine friends.

Expérience fantastique: I moved to Ottawa in 2019 and didn't think I'd find a Vet clinic I liked as much as the one I'd been dealing with for 15 years in my previous city. Well...I was wrong. The professional and compassionate care my current Vizslas receive at this clinic has been superb. In addition to regular wellness checks they've had spays, dental work, removal of an oral mass, diagnosis of an eye issue and yes...dealing with ingesting a foreign item! I'd happily recommend this clinic, and indeed I do.

Expérience fantastique: Brought Toby for his first visit at Cedarview Animal Hospital today, and had a stellar experience. From the front office staff to the veterinarian, everyone was extremely friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Toby usually shows some signs of distress/anxiety at the vet, but not this time. He even let the vet-tech cut his nails, which is unheard of! He also loved the added unlimited cheese-whiz frozen treats throughout the appointment. Definitely didn't know what I was missing until I moved to Cedarview Animal Hospital. I'm looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship with this veterinarian organization. Highly recommended!
