Expérience négative: If your pet requires any kind of complex care, avoid this clinic. They gave us the wrong dose of medication and then the instructions on the box of another type was also the wrong dose. I also witnessed the vet pull a thermometer out of a drawer, put it in our cats ear, and then just put it back in the drawer. They never showed us how to give our cat his medication. Frankly, the vet seemed disinterested and didnt know the details of our cats chart at most appointments. We chose this clinic because they were the least expensive but after months of sub-par care, I realized its not worth the trouble or the suffering of our very sweet senior boy.

Expérience négative: Really unsure how to start this - I will say I was referred here however when I walked in the women at the front was rude ( black hair , piercings just to describe her ) . She was very unprofessional in my opinion. Then we go to the back and as the vet can see , my dog cola is in pain ! Has bleeding in his mouth ect and I say I want an xray , his response was to send us home and come back ? Why ? He asks oh you want it today ? Hmm yes ! My dog is clearly struggling. Then 460$ later we left with no real strategy other then pain meds and antibiotics which I asked for . They have to send the X-rays somewhere else to be read I guess . So I sit and wait while my dog suffers. I want to add my dog is 10 years old . He is already having a hard time with day to day tasks so to see him suffer any longer makes me so sad

Expérience fantastique: I just had my 1st experience with Ramsay Animal Clinic today Dec. 19th/25. They were the most caring and supportive bunch, right from the minute you walk in the door, to the Doctor and anyone you might come across while you're there. They have cheaper prices than most vets in Calgary, they are well organized, great staff, great location! I had to bring my poor cat Silver who has been suffering on and off and has had many tests and nobody seems to know what's wrong with her. They were very simpathetic. If anyone writes a bad review or had an unfortunate experience, well I'm sorry to hear that but at the end of the day we must all remember that we are human, not perfect. This place is by far one of the very best, I won't go anywhere else in the future. They are so heartfelt for both you and your pet! Thank you Ramsay and keep up the good work, you are greatly needed! The fact that I was lied to about the health and well being of my cat so YOU PEOPLE could make an extra buck The fact that I asked your HORRIBLE receptionist to have a call back from the vet not once but twice which NEVER happened.. not to mention she's rude as all heck.. why do you have someone like her (the one with the pizza face, glasses and dark hair) when so many people want to work.. you could find SOMEONE to do their job correctly Not only that but when they put my cat back in his carrier I asked why it smelled like poop They told me he could have slightly messed himself but should be an easy clean up.. sadly it wasn't and I had to take him back on my bday to stress out while listening to him scream for over an hour while they tried to correct the mess they should have cleaned in the first place The vet is not good.. he told me I COULD NOT WAIT that my cat's tooth NEEDED to be out within the month Well six months later and at our new vet , the vet told me that a cleaning needed to be done.. and that tooth in question MIGHT need to be removed but that was a might not a most likely, not a right now or he will pass away.. This vet at Ramsay had me so stressed out for months thinking I would lose my cat when he's just fine Told me what they would charge me for and oh look at that , added charges and then told me I NEEDED to do urine test which ended up not happening so they took money of mine they shouldn't have unless talking to me about it first And he knew I was struggling with money Shame on this clinic. Shame on this vet, the nasty receptionist at the front.. all the other people I have no issues with , not their fault they work there .. but I HIGHLY suggest if you want amazing quality of care at a lower price for sure there are PLENTY of places that will give a better deal than these so called pet lovers.. Oh and tell your vet he shouldn't be scruffing a cat not should he be telling the owners to scruff the cat as only cats should be scruffing other cats One other thing that had me very upset was asking to be in the room not once but three times and told no So while they do whatever it is that they do with your cat, to traumatize it so badly it poops itself (funny how my cat never did that anywhere else at any other vet) I should have known.. I had a bad feeling when I walked in the door and a worse feeling after meeting the vet but I was told this place was affordable.... Again.. they aren't Please sell your practice if all you care about is money over animals Oh and one more thing. My cat got oodwork done yesterday. At Ramsay we were sent away to book a different appt to pay MORE money to have him put under for a blood draw.. well yesterday he was chill and in my arms feeling very chill where he was. She said we can attempt the draw with Joey in your hands. He may try to bite you. Not only did he not bite me. HE DIDNT FLINCH! At Ramsay they took him to the back like I mentioned, wouldn't allow me to even see what was going on and that's when my cat came back with crap all over him and placed back in the kennel (a friend lent me btw) HE DIDNT EVEN FLINCH! people trust the actions of your pets... If they seem upset or sketched out it's because they are and there is a reason Please don't bother posting your garbage cut and paste response. About half the people in this clinic should t be in the business And the lady who mentioned that she lost Chloe, she's right..even alpine pet hospital an emergency, is cheaper and waybetter than this garbage clinic I wouldn't send my enemies pet here!

Expérience négative: I hate to write negative reviews but if this will save just one dog I will do this. My dog was brought in sick and constipated with his back legs wobbly. They ran test for blood and X-ray and said my dog was ok. I had to go elsewhere where it was diagnosed as Spondylosis. This is from the same xray report I was told by Ramsey that nothing was found. I was really mad cause that dog was clearly dying from poop stuck in his passage. He was immediately placed on IV and admitted in hospital. I am so sad that this clinic only cared for money. Spending almost a thousand dollars for poor diagnosis and left with a sick animal without even a follow up. Disgusting

Expérience négative: My dog was a patient at this clinic since I got her back in 2022 until this past August. I never had any particularly bad experiences, but no amazing experiences either. That being said, Chewie had really only been there for vaccinations and an ear infection, which was all pretty much fine and the vet did get rid of her ear infection. Now back in August, I brought her here for a general check up and to get her vaccinations up to date. I mentioned she had a few lumps I was worried about, and the vet barely even looked at them and told me they were nothing. I also mentioned a spot that had appeared on her eye that he also told me was nothing to worry about. The general checkup was only 3-5 minutes ish, and I felt like he didn’t really take the time to actually check everything. Feeling underwhelmed with this appointment, I decided to take her to another vet for a second opinion. Fast forward to today, and my dog is in recovery after having surgery to remove her lumps as the vet was concerned they could potentially be cancerous. He also recommended we do a dental cleaning as she had signs of early dental disease. I was told the spot on her eye I had mentioned to this vet could be an indication of a thyroid problem so we also did blood work to check that. The experiences at both of these vets was so different. The vet here at Ramsay lacks the compassion and care we all strive for when taking our pets to the vet. Like I said previously, he is fine for routine vaccinations and small ailments, but I would not go here if you need answers for anything that could be remotely serious. It had always been an affordable and more convenient option for me as I lived close, but I prefer to spend a little more money and travel further to get the proper care and compassion for my dog.

Expérience fantastique: The cost accessibility and quality of care that my cats have recieved from Ramsay Animal Clinic is incredible beyond compare. They have helped us manage our senior cat's atopic dermatitis better than VCA and for and for a fraction of the cost. Also incredible quality and value for dental work on our two cats. Our senior cat's total dental bill was $765 including geriatric blood panel but no tooth extractions, while the quote from VCA was $2300. Our adult cat's bill was $690, again with no extractions. We were told that if necessary, tooth extractions ranged from $25 to $125 depending on location and complexity. Prices may have changed since 2024, but they would still an incredible value. Just had a checkup today (2025) and senior's teeth are doing great! My fiancee and I both highly recommend RAC.

Expérience fantastique: I took my dog and cat to this vet for the first time. My cat is pretty calm so I knew his exam would go amazing but I was nervous for my dog as this was a last minute appointment and he gets very agitated with vets and I had not given him his anxiety medication. Payal was absolutely amazing. She gave me treats to distract my dog and completed the full examination. He was so distracted with treats, he didn’t even notice. She also approached the dog gently and let him settle down, smell her and get used to her. They are also super reasonably priced.

Expérience négative: Recently lost my cat Pina. I had great experiences with them until how they carelessly booked the appointment for my cat without flagging me the symptoms were indeed serious. The phone lady booked the appointment the next morning even before asking what’s wrong with my cat. Pina died after less than 10 hours since that phone call. We later on explained to the other hospital her symptoms when bringing her in for cremation and were told those were emergency. I’m absolutely heartbroken and disappointed. Doctor did apologize but nothing could change the past. Decided to change the vet for my other cat because i cannot trust them anymore. Lesson learned here is to always get advice from many vets … any slight changes from your cats behaviour can lead to serious consequences.

Expérience fantastique: This is my personal preference for any health services related to my dog. The vets are very caring and the pricing is very genuine. Any major surgery for my dog has occurred at this clinic and I’ve never had any complications.

Expérience négative: Last Saturday, I took my 3-month-old puppy, Ares, to the Ramsey Clinic for his first checkup. From the moment I arrived at the reception desk, I was treated poorly; the receptionist was in a bad mood. When I went to the vet, the experience was not good at all. The vet only checked my dog ​​for 5 minutes, gave his diagnosis, and when I asked him what he thought or what care I should provide my puppy, he just told me to contact the breeder. They didn't give me a correct diagnosis, they didn't give me any information, and they weren't empathetic at all. They didn't send me the diagnosis. They did nothing, and they only charged me $80 for NOTHING. I went to the Bridgeland Clinic, and the service was completely different. I do not recommend Ramsey. The worst treatment I've ever received at a vet.

Expérience fantastique: The veterinarians and staff at Ramsay Animal Clinic have always shown so much care with my pets. We put our 17 year old tabby down during the pandemic and Dr Gupta was so kind, allowing my sons to be there with me as we said our last goodbyes. With my ‘new’ 9 year old tabby, his appointments with both Dr Gupta and Sam have been pleasant, no stress events. A great independent vet clinic which does not over charge. Plenty of free parking, just off Deerfoot on tour est into Inglewood.

Expérience négative: Between the complete and utter disinterest in my dog the medication they gave that made my dog seizure, then had the audacity to say it wasn't a seizure. Even their check ups they barely look at the animal. Now they respond with the same crappy copy and paste comment. Ya I'm finding a new vet and recommend everyone to avoid this place.

Expérience négative: UPDATE: They copy and paste exact same response that is posted on every one star review shows how much this clinic cares… if they actually cared they’d reach out to the people directly that have fallen victim to their lack of care rather then copying and pasting the same exact response saying for us to reach out to them.. in response to their generic google response apologizing and asking me to reach out to them - I did and forwarded them what happened and of course they did not respond! DO NOT GO HERE they do not care about your pet, just your money! —- It’s been 8 months since my 9-year-old dog Chloe passed away, and I’m finally ready to share my experience with this clinic an experience marked by negligence and shockingly inflated charges. In November, I brought Chloe here because she was acting lethargic, which was unusual for her. My regular vet couldn’t see her until the following day, and since Ramsay was right around the corner, I booked in for peace of mind. They performed bloodwork and basic X-rays and charged me over $700 - more than both the emergency vet ($550) and my regular vet ($220) charged for the same procedures. The next day, a vet from Ramsay called to tell me Chloe’s bloodwork was clear, that everything looked fine, and she was likely just slowing down with age. I was relieved and to celebrate I took her for a hike in Bragg Creek the following day (2 days after my appointment with Ramsay) During that hike, I received a second call this time from a different vet at Ramsay. He asked if I had received an update and, when I repeated what I’d been told, he informed me they had made a mistake. Upon rechecking, they found Chloe had anemia, low red blood cell and hemoglobin levels, fluid in her abdomen, and that I should take her to an emergency vet immediately. I am so confused and stunned that all of this could be missed and at this point I’m on a hike 40 minutes outside of the city celebrating my healthy dog.. I rushed to Trinity Pet Hospital, where Chloe underwent an emergency blood transfusion that saved her life - temporarily. By that point, she was close to dying and had been internally bleeding for 48+ hours because of Ramsay’s error. Over the next month and a half, she was diagnosed with untreatable cancer. I spent that time between my regular vet and emergency care, who were compassionate, communicative, and thorough - all for less than what Ramsay charged for a single 30-minute visit that nearly cost my dog her life. This isn’t about the money - I would have spent whatever it took to save her. It’s about the fact that Ramsay’s negligence nearly killed Chloe a month and a half sooner, and that their actions made it clear to me they care more about profit than the animals entrusted to their care. I would never trust them with another pet. Additionally - the copy and paste exact same response that is posted on every one star review shows how much this clinic cares… if they actually cared they’d reach out to the people directly that have fallen victim to their lack of care rather then copying and pasting the same exact response saying for us to reach out to them.. I doubt they even read or care to read this and other 1 star reviews

They really took the time to listen to my concerns regarding my pet Max, and explained everything clearly. I highly recommend this clinic for your pets.

Expérience négative: AVOID THIS VET AT ALL COSTS I strongly advise against taking your pet to this veterinary clinic. I brought my sick dog here because it was close to home, but that was a big mistake. I should have done more thorough research first. I spent over $1,500+ on multiple X-rays, bloodwork, fecal tests, medications, and injections. Despite all this, the veterinarian was unable to provide a clear diagnosis. Instead, we were stuck in a frustrating “wait and see” game. Even after following every recommended test, the doctor showed a lack of confidence and competency in diagnosing my dog’s illness. As my dog’s condition worsened, we rushed to an emergency veterinary hospital. The vet there reviewed the same X-rays and immediately identified a foreign object in my dog’s stomach—something the previous vet had completely missed. What upset me most was realizing I had trusted my dog’s health to professionals who couldn’t even interpret basic diagnostic imaging. On top of that, I experienced severe communication issues throughout the process. The clinic itself is also poorly maintained. The exam room, front desk, and general environment were filthy and did not appear to meet even basic hygiene standards. The staff was unprofessional and disrespectful, at one point, when the doctor had trouble using the computer and asked for help, a staff member rolled her eyes and raised her voice at the doctor right in front of me. There are far more competent, affordable, and professional veterinary options out there. Please do your research and avoid this place

Expérience négative: RUN In summary, Dr. Gurjinder was incredibly cold, rude and lacked any communication and almost injured myself and my cat. Sarah, the RVT lead was dismissive and rude and pretty much told me she hopes an injury actually does occur time. In full, I came in for vaccines for my cat. I was not asked if I was comfortable restraining my cat for said vaccinations. Due to this I assumed it was because there was no one else available to restrain the animal. Because why else would it not be a professional? He just demanded “put her here. Hold her” I wasn’t even sure where to hold her as he didn’t even tell me where he would be vaccinating her if it would be in her scruff or her thigh. He did not communicate Dr. Gurjinder did not check with or communicate with me that my animal was properly restrained or that I was ready for him to vaccinate with how I was holding her. The cat was very clearly not restrained properly as I was still adjusting my grip. Dr. Gurjinder then starts the vaccine and almost hits my finger since the cat flailed (because they were not restrained yet and he did not communicate to see if she was). Dr. Gurjinder also spilled deworming medication on my bare hand and when I went to wash my hands I realized there was no soap in the exam room. Dr. Gurjinder left to get a tech to get soap, leaving the door open behind him and allowing my cat into the back area. I also don’t believe the exam room was cleaned before us as there were still treats on the floor from the previous patient. When I brought these concerns to the RVT lead, Sarah. She dismissed all of my concerns once I told her I used to be a veterinary assistant and know for a fact that there needs to be communication when animal restraint and needles are involved. And she bluntly said “if you stay around long enough eventually you’ll get a needle to your thigh” to which I responded “that’s a nice thing to wish for someone”. That is an absurd thing to say to someone you don’t know and it truly felt like she was wishing me harm. The lack of concern for safety is appalling, I do not work here, I should have zero reason to expect being pricked by a needle or having medicine spilled on me with no soap and rude people. That’s what I expected when I worked in the field, I am not staff, I am a client. This is exactly why I left this field years ago, the lack of communication and how it risks my personal safety. I never would have expected to receive the same belittling treatment as a client trying to do what’s best for my pets health. I will be sending all of this to the hospital manager as well. But I genuinely would avoid this place at all costs, they’re not the same since they’ve changed locations

Expérience négative: Everything was fairly friendly, but we paid $70 for an exam and consultation, and in the end the vet didn’t help my puppy at all. I highly doubt that a simple spot-on treatment will effectively cure ear mites! We also complained about a dry nose and dry paws, and again, no real help was offered — just a promotion of the clinic’s food, blaming everything on allergies. I received absolutely no proper help here, and I do not recommend this place

Expérience négative: Extremely disappointed and heartbroken. Today I rushed to this clinic with my dog Tymon, who had been attacked, he was bleeding from the neck and had a head injury. I chose this clinic because Tymon was already their patient. When I arrived, the receptionist, who didn’t seem very concerned, told me I could sit and wait about 45 minutes because they had scheduled appointments and no one could help me right away. I had no issue waiting, I simply asked if a vet could quickly come out and assess whether my dog was stable enough to wait that long. The receptionist told me that it wasn’t possible either. I left immediately and called the next closest clinic. They asked how fast I could get there and said a vet would wait for me at the emergency entrance. I arrived in 7 minutes and the help was already at the door. I never imagined an animal clinic could treat suffering animals with such a lack of compassion. The receptionist didn’t even think to ask a vet for advice, it felt like we were just brushed off. When you spend so much money at a place like this for a beloved companion, you expect it to be trustworthy and caring. Sadly, Ramsay Animal Clinic proved to be the opposite. I do not recommend this clinic. If they’re unable to respond appropriately in an emergency, I truly doubt they can provide reliable care in normal situations either.

Expérience négative: Safe to say our experience with this vet caused us immense anxiety and near financial burden. We brought our dog in about a month ago to have a lump on her leg checked out. The doctor (who never introduced himself to us) didn't touch her once and only visually checked the mass out before googling the type of tumor he believed it to be. He immediately suggested surgery and a biopsy, which would cost upwards of $2000. We were anxious as new dog owners but we booked in for the surgery a few weeks in advance. After about 2 weeks we noticed the lump had virtually disappeared and became almost non-existent. We decided to take her to another vet for a second opinion and he was able to let us know surgery wasn't needed, and to make sure to keep an eye on the spot in the future. If it does come back there is an option for a minimally invasive aspiration; a procedure that was not brought up at Ramsay. When we called to cancel the surgery, we were not asked any follow up questions or information, they simply just said "okay" and hung up. Instead of giving us options and information, this doctor immediately chose the most invasive and expensive option for our 2 year old otherwise healthy dog. After reading a recent review from someone who went through a similar experience, I can with 100% confidence tell you to go elsewhere when your animal is in need of veterinary care, even if it costs a bit more. With low costs brings lower standards of care and unfortunately that seems to be the case at Ramsay Animal Clinic.

Expérience négative: I used to recommend this vet however recent experiences had made me move vet clinics. There’s been two issues recently that we’ve experienced. The first was a nail clipping where my dog either got scared or the nail was clipped too short. I was in the room and witnessed it. My dog threw her head back, like I say, either in shock or pain. Regardless, my dog hit her head against the girl doing the clipping causing her glasses to break. I apologized immediately and it was quite a shock for everyone. I then went back a few months later for vaccines. Every single employee I came across, said ‘oh this is the dog that bit our friend’. My husband then went a few months later again and the same thing happened. The employees would say it loudly in the waiting room in front of other clients. My dog didn’t bite her, and regardless of the situation there should at least by patient confidentiality. To lie clearly on the file notes and then to be so unprofessional isn’t acceptable. My dog also has a lump on her neck. I asked the vet to look at it and asked if blood tests or anything could be done to make sure it’s not anything dangerous. I was told no and the only option was to pay around $1500 to put her under and take a sample. I then asked another vet to look at it and right there and then he took a quick sample and confirmed it was a fat lump. It was also done for free.

Expérience fantastique: Great vet..affordable prices not pushy with treatment. The vets and staff all love and geuinley care about your pet and care for them like they are their own. They are also very caring and understanding of difficult/ fearful animals as my one cat is terrified of the vet and uncooperative they are very helpful with him. New location is great and bigger/better than the last one.

Expérience négative: I brought my cat here to try and switch vets since this one was closer to my house and has more availability. But the vet refused to look or touch my cat told me to go back to my previous vet. I have never been refused service at a vet in having cats for over 10 years and moving every now and then. Very disappointing service

Expérience négative: This vet and clinic put my cat’s health at risk and caused myself and my two cats an incredible amount of anxiety. Out of convenience of location, I brought my two cats to the clinic as new patients when my Pippen started having watery poos. Pippen is already an anxious boy especially about travel so I thought I’d skip the long ride to his normal vet and give Ramsay Animal Clinic a try. I highly regret this decision. On top of a few smaller things that didn’t give me a great feeling, one of the biggest issues was that this vet didn’t treat my cats like beloved family members, he treated them like animals. They were not greeted or even pet by the vet before he took a stool sample from Pippen - which was a traumatic experience for both me and my cat. The first thing the vet told me to do was grab Pippen by his neck fur and hold him down to get the sample. After reading reviews and research, this practice called “scruffing” is not a recommended one for adult cats and cause further anxiety. I feel sick knowing I did this to my own fur baby on his recommendation. It took two tries to get the sample and he brought in a vet tech who similarly said very little to me or my cat before again scruffing him to get the sample. By the end I was covered in deep scratches and Pippen was cowering under a chair. His brother even voluntarily came out of his carrier because he he knew Pippen was in distress. To shorten this long story, I didn’t hear back from the vet for 12 DAYs after they took the sample for the test. I assumed my cat just ate something that upset his tummy as his poos went back to normal within a day or so I never gave him the probiotics or prescription they had given me while we waited for the results. When the vet did call, it turns out Pippen had an infection the whole time. The vet didn’t explain to me what this infection was or how he could have gotten it but instead sent me the lab reports. The lab report read that the test results had come back two days after my appointment. That means the vet didn’t call me for 10 days knowing my cat was sick. In my mind that’s not only endangering my cat, it’s malpractice. I will not be bringing my cats back to this clinic or this vet. Instead I’ll be asking my usual vet to write my other cat a prescription based on these lab results because the vet at Ramsay told me there’s a possibility one cat could pass the infection to the other. However, he did not recommend I get a prescription for Pippen’s brother or that I bring Damian in for a test. Not that I would, knowing how the last test went.

Expérience fantastique: I’m really happy that they were open over the weekend, including Sunday. It is also nice that you can schedule an appointment online, and they get back to you quickly.

Expérience négative: I took my 8-year-old cat Mama to Ramsay Animal Clinic on April 4th for blood and urine tests. Within moments of her being taken to the back, I heard loud, panicked cries — sounds I had never heard from her in the seven years I’ve had her. I opened the door to find a vet assistant holding her up by the scruff of her neck, her body dangling, and aggressively trying to force her down onto her back. Mama was terrified. This is a cat who is always gentle, calm, and extremely tolerant — not a biter, not a fighter. The assistant claimed Mama tried to bite her, but anyone would lash out when treated like that. She was being mishandled, plain and simple. It was the first and only time I’ve ever heard her hiss. I deeply regret taking her to this clinic out of the convenience of it being close to home instead of making the longer trip to her regular vet — who has always treated her with compassion and respect. Afterward, I called Mama’s previous vet to gain some perspective. I was told what I witnessed — a method called “scruffing” — is not standard and is highly controversial. It causes extreme distress and is considered outdated by many veterinary professionals. I then called Ramsay Animal Clinic to raise my concern and was told, casually, that they’d “discuss it at the next staff meeting.” That’s not accountability. When I looked into the clinic’s reviews, I realized this wasn’t an isolated incident. Others have reported hearing their animals in visible distress behind closed doors. This seems to be a pattern of careless, outdated, and harmful handling practices. If you care about your animal’s safety and emotional well-being, I strongly urge you to stay away from this clinic. Ramsay Animal Clinic should not be trusted with vulnerable animals, and based on my experience and what I’ve since uncovered, they are a danger to pets. This is my personal experience and opinion.

Expérience fantastique: We had a great experience with Ramsay Animal Clinic, they were very easy to deal with and very accommodating to everything our senior boy needed for his procedure. I really appreciate how they went above and beyond and their actions showed us that they didn’t just care about the bottom line, they cared first and foremost about what my boy needed and took great care of him.

Expérience négative: Took my dog in for a uti and paid for a urine test. I was given a cup to take home to collect urine- didn't bring the urine back to the clinic as I didn't want to wait a week for results. Was still charge for the test that wasn't completed

Expérience fantastique: I would like to share my experience with Ramsay Clinic and give credits to all the staff and Doctor Gupta who have helped us recently with our beloved cat, Mochi. Doctor Gupta was very compassionate, accommodating and assisted me and Mochi with kindness and have given us the only necessary test (xray and blood test) needed during our visit. Doctor Gupta have answered clearly all my questions about Mochi's situation and have suggested fairly what's best for my cat. Thank you so much Doctor. All of the staff are very accommodating and welcoming.

Expérience fantastique: I brought my 2 Whippets in to be spayed and I was of course very worried about the major surgery, but they did a fantastic job, staff is very caring, great aftercare, full recovery on both (same time) and the price was the most reasonable in the city. Do not go to these "corporate" clinics, to them this is just business, maximize returns, support your local vet!

Expérience négative: My dog, who had been a patient here, passed away on the way to see this vet. Though I called ahead to say we are on our way...they insisted asking what time we wanted our appointment. We arrived with the dog who had, by then, passed..just minutes before arriving. The experience was horrible, and not made any easier by the fact that there was NO compassion. Dr came in a poked the dog a bit..and left without commenting. Then we were left...sitting alone in the room with no further interaction, even after trying to get attention from any staff. Eventually we just left with our pup. Two weeks later...nothing. No condolences. No follow-up. Unbelievable. An incredibly difficult situation made worse by their indifference and heartless attitude.

Expérience fantastique: I moved out of Calgary a few months back, and just realized now that I have to find a new vet. Reflecting on the great folks at this clinic, thought I would write a review to share my experience. Both the vets at this place were very knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate yet practical. I always felt like my best friend was in great hands, and trusted their advice. I've never felt like they pushed anything unnecessary on us. My dog has always been extremely stressed out by vets, protesting and thrashing around at times. Repeated visits to this clinic, where the vets handled those situations in an extraordinarily calm and professional manner have served to lessen that response in him and made trips to the vet these days much less stressful. I have also been there with cats and they were handled equally well. The front desk staff has always been very friendly and professional. Thank you Ramsay Animal Clinic!

Very disappointed and did not help my pet. Will not be returning. Edit: as of 2025 the clinic has never reached out to me to make things right

Expérience fantastique: Came here today with my pet dog . He was not feeling well and I was able to set up an appointment even as a new patient. In and out within twenty minutes after the veterinarian checked my dog throughly. I love the fact that this location is opened on Sundays The staff were very kind and upbeat. Thank you again for everything to help my dog.

Expérience négative: Possibly the worst experience we've had with a vet in fifteen years! Book a Solensia injection for our senior cat. Super straight forward, our main vert has us in and out in 10 minutes. Arrive on time and wait 45 minutes in an empty clinic until someone finally reminds the doctor of the appointment. After doing an assessment they go to grab the injection only to find their inventory status of five vials is off BY FOUR, they only have a single injection's worth and our cat requires two. How does a clinic, vet or otherwise, lose four vials of medicine?! Leave 90 minutes later after arrival, no injection, and a stressed senior cat.

Expérience négative: Don't try to take your pet here to be euthanized unless you are a client.they won't help you. Awful. Every other vet is willing, emergencies happen. Would never take a pet here now for any reason!

Expérience négative: I am not too happy with this vet besides the fact that they could get me in at low cost. My dog had stage 4 cancer and they wanted more tests. I took her to another vet two days later and had to put her down. They would rather take money from you than care for your dogs life. No x ray were needed to tell you she had stage 4 cancer.

Expérience négative: If I could give negative zero stars i would. My senior dog was going to be a new patient. However waiting for 30 minutes. The vet coming into the room not even reading marleys past health history or even greeting him. Then presenting his health history to me after not even touching my dog and diagnosing him after again. Not even touching him. Is wild to me. They should be out of business for the amount of unprofessionalism i have received along with the other people leaving negative reviews.

Expérience fantastique: We brought our cat Sara to the clinic as we could not get into our usual vet. We thought she needed immediate attention due to prolonged vomiting. Dr. Gupta was excellent. He ordered all the tests I had hoped he would. He also gave the immediate treatment she needed. He was very patient with all our questions. He phoned with the report from the tests and responded to my daily updates by email. On the follow up appointment he was again very patient in answering questions. I was very pleased with everything at the clinic. Thank you Dr. Gupta.

I had the pleasure of taking them the other day, and the vet was super great with Sky, gave her all the medications and exam plus they had squeezed us in on a weekend for a lost duclaw. I feel they have more affordable pricing compared to most other veterinary clinics here in town.

Expérience négative: I used to recommend this vet to everyone, but not anymore. They are fine for routine stuff like vaccines, but when things got serious, they really let me down. They took my money for X-rays and blood work and recommended that I take my dog to a specialist because they couldn't say much from just those results. They didn't even offer a referral, just had the admin send me a couple clinic names. Within one month of that appointment, my dog has passed. Ramsay did not tell me that the protein in his blood was low and started talking about thyroid levels, which were marginal. They wanted me to spend an additional $300 on a thyroid panel. Every other vet that saw the blood work after Ramsay (there were several) was concerned about the low protein and thought fast action should be taken. Unfortunately, by the time a specialist vet was able to help, it was too late. I understand that the medical field is not cut and dry and a full diagnosis is not easy, but this experience was really concerning. Do your pet a favor and seek another clinic if you believe they might have a serious problem.

Expérience fantastique: Always have a great experience with Ramsay Animal Clinic. My two dogs have always been treated with care and whenever I have questions or concerns about my fur babies they take the time to listen and help me understand.

Expérience négative: The vet was awesome. The next day I was called to come and fetch some medication for my pet. I was there 20 minutes before closing time, I saw the lights were on. When I approached the doors were locked. I looked at the sign in the window and it said close was at 7. I still had twenty minutes. I looked inside and the person behind the front desk looked me dead in the eye, and turned off the lights. Please update your hours to reflect when you actually plan to available to serve clients.

Super friendly staff and knowledgable doctors. They directly communicated with our pet insurance as well to ensure that we received proper coverage. Thank you for taking amazing care of our sassy boy! We are so appreciative of everything you do.

Started at the previous location and happy to see that it's grown to a nicer newer location and not too far from the previous location. Came in for vaccinations and the staff are fantastic at sending me email reminders and communicating for all my appointments and follow ups. Always great service and accommodating friendly staff.

Expérience négative: They quoted my senior citizen friend $800 to have her 2 kittens spayed/neutered and when she went to pick them up her bill was $1200. She did agree to microchipping them and having laser therapy but that only added about $100ish to the bill. That extra $300 really hurt her financial situation and that is not okay.

Expérience négative: I am beyond done and upset with this vet clinic. The communication between clients and the staff is absurd! The one vet that has never met my dogs has taken it upon himself to make decisions about my dogs, that our regular vet and I have discussed to keep them on medications for life. Now all of a sudden they won't refill until I pay 100's of dollars in tests ect. That was NOT mentioned when he went on the medication in the first place! they want my 13 year old clearly struggling dog to come in for a recheck and pay 75.00 to tell me he's old and has mobility issues ( he was seen 9 months ago full check with our regular vet) I'm fine with getting my dogs the tests, but it shouldn't have been surprise news. There is missing vaccination documentation, and the staff seem to be overworked and don't know what is going on half the time. They really seem to care about the money and not the well being of animals.

Expérience négative: I don't know why this place changed so much, it was great, and caring. Now, the level of client care has dropped drastically, no notice of bloodwork before medication renewals, just a 'No, you can't have it until after we see bloodwork' at the drop of a hat. Really uncoordinated, told us one dog hasn't got rabies vaccine, but the other does. They BOTH came at the same time for it, both had it, so whoever was keeping record, shouldn't be. Mix ups with meds, giving wrong clients bottles with our name and details on it. Not to mention the bloodwork we paid hundreds of dollars for, with no real reason other than 'We dont know whats happening', only for it to turn out that an antibiotic cleared the symptoms, which was given as a just in case measure! All the money for bloodwork was a waste of time and money, and should have never been needed. I used to love this place, but without the higher service level, and compassion gone out of the window, I can no longer use this office, nor recommend it. Please, do better again.

Expérience négative: I would give them 0 stars if possible. Shady business practices, upsold a year supply of unnecessary medication that expired in 6 months. Clearly trying to get rid of their stock to people who don’t even need it. Went in for lice medication with the lice sample in a bag from the groomer. So many of the reviews talk about this being a “cheap” vet. I was not aware of this as I was referred to them. But I can tell you I find them incredibly expensive because at every turn they are upselling and price gouging on unnecessary add ons, services, and medications. I’ve taken my puppy to an emergency vet twice and had FAR better care and far more transparent pricing. It’s such a gross feeling to go into your vet with your guard up because you feel as though they’re trying to take advantage of you. The staff used to be so friendly. The customer service is awful.

Expérience positive: This was my first time attending this clinic. As a new patient, I had expected the vet that was neutering my dog to come speak to me about the procedure, finding out it’s not protocol. Post surgery the vet didn’t come see us at all and I thought this was bad customer service. These are our pets, they’re family, and I was very disappointed in the service. The front staff was subpar at best. One of the front staff was boarder line unfriendly but the other girl was Fantastic at her job. I wouldn’t want to deal with that front line staff again, she was very unfriendly and looked stressed and not happy to be working there. Not a good first impression for representation of that clinic. The other girl, was quite happy to assist and correct the mistakes the other front staff made when weighing out puddle before surgery.

Expérience fantastique: I have two cats and I want my review to reach all the cat parents who are looking for a new vet or just a change! We came here for getting dental work done and I must say, Dr. Gupta actually took the time to assess and explain clearly on what’s wrong with their teeth and what needs to get done. No wishy washy answers. Straight to the point. It was a FREE DENTAL CONSULTATION and then you get to decide the next steps! And the dental work was not crazy expensive and is a much better rate than the other “popular” ones in the city. We felt reassured that our cattos will be taken care of and are in good and safe hands. After the surgery, my cattos were a little tired but started to eat right after coming home. Their teeth is clean and healthy now thankfully! I totally recommend this place and Dr. Gupta! Take care of your fur babies!
