Positive experience: Update 2026: We had a positive experience with our vet, Dr. Victoria Rudd. She was patient, kind, and never made us feel pressured into purchasing additional products or services, which we really appreciated. Her calm and compassionate approach stood out. While we did have a good experience with Dr. Victoria Rudd, I did have some concerns around treatment communication, appointment flow, and the overall organization during the visit. In non-emergency situations, I prefer to have treatment options and pricing clearly discussed before anything moves forward, and there were moments where that didn’t happen. The appointment also ran much longer than expected due to waiting and some clinic chaos. That said, after sharing my feedback, the clinic reached out right away to better understand the situation. I felt validated and appreciated their willingness to listen and follow up. It was encouraging to see them take client feedback seriously. 2023: I was able to get my pup in quickly and the services received were great and very reasonably priced. The communication at Vic West Pet Hospital is fantastic.

Fantastic experience: An amazing team of caretakers, from the friendly front desk who are always accommodating to vet techs and surgical staff who are very sweet and attending to my giant’s needs. Dr. Rudd, a huge amount of respect and gratitude for always meeting Winston (my St Bernard) with an open heart, understanding and calmness. Your presence and gentle demeanour makes him feel safe. Thank you for your continuous care and expertise! ❤️

Fantastic experience: We drive a long way from Langford even though our cat is very shy and hates car rides, because of the lovely experience we always have here at the clinic. Doctor Rudd especially is very gentle, thorough and patient in answering all our questions. She definitely puts our cat at ease. The other assistants as well as front staff are all very helpful and friendly as well. I will recommend visiting if living in nearby areas.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been bringing our two cats to Vic West Pet Hospital for the past 5 years, and honestly, can’t imagine going anywhere else. The team is always so kind, patient, and gentle, especially with our nervous cats, and they never rush us through appointments. Over the years, they’ve helped us with everything from routine checkups and dental cleanings to a few unexpected health issues, and we’ve always felt fully informed and supported. Our most recent visit involved surgery for one of our cats, and the care was incredible from start to finish. They walked us through the procedure, kept us updated, and made a stressful situation so much easier. Seeing how attentive and compassionate they were during recovery meant the world to us. If you’re in Victoria and looking for a vet you can truly trust with your pets, this clinic is absolutely worth it!

Fantastic experience: ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I phoned this morning for an urgent care appointment. I was unable to get my pooch into his established vet. My doodle accidentally fractured his nail all the way to the base with his quick exposed. They got us in within an hour and half, they treated him, and we were out a couple of hours later with wound care, pain meds, etc. The vet, Dr. Rudd, was thorough and kind and the front office professionals were also so kind and helpful. I can’t recommend enough. I will definitely use them in the future if I can’t get into my established vet. Thank you to all of the staff at Vic West Pet Hospital ❤️

Fantastic experience: Gave me sound advice regarding my old girl!

Negative experience: We waited over an hour past our appointment time to be seen, so we left. We have been coming here for 3 years and have had a couple issues in the past year, today that was the last straw. We will be finding a different vet to care for our pets from now on.

Negative experience: We opted to have an in home euthanasia for our cat. The mobile vet informed vic west pet hospital, but vic west continued to send me texts and emails asking me to get my deceased cat in for a check up a month after, they even confirmed when I called that there was a note on the account. They made this hard time even worse. The lack of attention and detail prior to our loss with regards to communicating about ordering and when required medications were received adds to our reluctance to ever use their service in the future.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been coming here for the past four years, mostly for check-ups, but recently brought our dog in for a more involved procedure — a dental cleaning — and it was a great experience. The vet was incredibly informative throughout the process, the care was excellent, and our dog’s breath is fresh again. We really appreciated the clear, thoughtful communication from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: I am very grateful for the care Aspen received. I truly appreciate that Vic West Pet Hospital was able to see him so quickly and in such a straightforward way. The entire team was compassionate, empathetic, and kind. Aspen is already showing improvement, and we are very thankful that his health issue is being addressed. My husband and I feel confident that we made the right decision choosing this veterinary hospital. As a cute fact, Aspen has always been very healthy, so this was his first time ever getting lab tests. He felt so comfortable and trusting, and when he came back, he was happy and proudly showing off his little bandage. If your dog approves and trusts the team, there’s no room for hesitation! Fantastic experience: My son and I had to say goodbye to a much loved pet yesterday, who had been treated by the team at Vic West Pet Hospital over several months. The whole team, from reception, Dr. Hall, and Dr.Julie, were so calm and gentle with Tiger. I received quick replies to my many emailed questions and was reassured several times that I wasn’t being a pest. I cannot express how grateful I am to their team for helping me and my son get through a really hard day yesterday.

Fantastic experience: The best animal hospital in Victoria. I took my cat in for dental extractions, and the whole experience was honestly so much better than I expected. The Dr. was super calm, patient, and didn’t rush anything, he explained what was going on in a way that actually made sense and made me feel totally comfortable. Oliver came out of the surgery doing great, and it was clear the team put real care into the whole process. Everyone there is just genuinely kind and gentle with animals. Can not recommend Vic west enough! Thanks so much for taking such good care of Oliver.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Vic West Pet Hospital for a few years now, and honestly, they’re just great. If you’re looking for a vet in Victoria that actually listens and doesn’t push extra stuff, this is the place. My dog recently had a lump removal surgery, and they made the whole thing way less stressful than I expected. They explained everything in normal words, kept things clear and simple, and were just genuinely kind the whole time. If anyone’s searching for a good, honest vet in Vic West or Victoria BC, I’d definitely recommend them. It just feels like a place you can trust.

Fantastic experience: Our pets have only been to this vet, and we're thankful for it. They have recently expanded to burnside too. They literally saved chewys life recently. We cant thank you enough.

Negative experience: I brought my dog in as he became ill very quickly. I appreciated that they were able to see him right away. The vet that phoned me quickly explained the most expensive options for his care which were in the 5-6 thousand range. When I told her the maximum I could afford she referred to me as a “financial insecure” client. My work was on strike for 8 weeks prior. I was told an amount over the phone and walked in having to pay hundreds more than what I agreed to. He quickly declined and the next day I had to make the decision to put him down. The vet that did the procedure was amazing and kind, but having to sit in a room crying with my dying dog for 3 hours waiting was extremely painful. When I left the room to go to the front counter I asked to return his medications that were unused and someone came from the back to tell me “we will put a note on your file and the manager will call you Monday” no one called and the man rudely said to me “sometimes life happens”. What terrible service to someone who just lost their best friend. I truly felt they just cared about how much money they could extract from me and did not care about keeping my pet alive. I spent all of my savings to end up broken.

Negative experience: Poor service. Overpriced. 4 years at this vet and grateful to have found great quality veterinary services elsewhere. Quotes $3-4K for a dental extraction procedure that another vet did for $900.

Fantastic experience: I've been bringing my doggo here for 4 years, and service is always friendly, professional and efficient. We've seen multiple vets, all of whom have seemed very capable. They've also always been quick to fill prescriptions in between visits. We were there a couple of days ago, and Scarlett, who is always very anxious at the vet, was actually quite calm and comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Vet & techs were very nice and made my dog feel so comfortable (well as comfortable as he could be getting shots and a nail trim). We can normally trim 2-3 nails in one session, the vet managed to get 8 at our appointment which was huge for our dog :) Communication and setting the appointment was very easy. The appointment was efficient and started on time. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely recommend them.

Positive experience: I needed to get an appointment for my dog Misty blue fast and Vic West Pet Hospital was very understand and caring about our case. The staff are super kind and helpful. Vic west vet values community and the animals they work with a lot. My family and I appreciate them a lot and are so grateful we were able to get the help we needed through this establishment. Negative experience: I wouldnt give this place to single star except we have to to leave a review. I just called about my 11 month old puppy eating chocolate and instead of giving me the advice I was asking for, she asked if I was a client, then told me to call another vet clinic. So much being a vet "HOSPITAL" with no doctors or technicians in the office! She didn't even ask if my dog was okay just rushed me off the phone. I WOULD NOT send my worst enemy to this clinic let alone bring a fur baby here!!! What a joke this place is. That women shouldn't be able to work in this industry

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Hall and Clinic. I find them to be transparent, friendly, and professional. Dr. Haoo did not rush us and took the time needed to examine my girl and explained all possible scenarios and different options. We did not feel rushed and most importantly did not feel like just a source of revenue like some other Clinics. Pricing was very transparent, as were the options for treatments. I was very happy with my visit, especially after a very bad experience other than other clinic..

Fantastic experience: Their exam and medication prices are quite fair - not the cheapest you’ll find it town but very far from the break-your-wallet prices you find elsewhere. And well worth it for the service you get! Consistently find all the vets, techs, etc to be kind, patient, and accommodating. As the owner of an anxious senior dog, this is most important to me. I have no nerves taking him to Vic West Pet Hospital and regularly recommend them to those I know with pets.

Negative experience: The absolute worst clinic in Victoria (if not all of BC). Overcharges at every visit with additional random costs just thrown in. Brutal/incompetent admin staff who can't follow up or send documentation when requested. Recommended random surgeries for things I wasn't even visiting the clinic for (just trying to get $). It's shocking this place is still open. AVOID. I'd give it a negative star rating if I could.

Fantastic experience: Stopped in while on a cross-Canada road trip with my pup after I noticed an infection in her eye. This clinic was AMAZING!! Staff was super friendly and helpful and got us in for an appointment the day I called in. Staff and Dr. Hall were all very attentive to my pup, assessed her vitals, examined her eye, and sent us on our way with some eye drops. Pricing was super reasonable and staff took into consideration that we were only passing through - if I ever return or move to Victoria, I will 100% be going to this clinic!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shergill is seriously amazing. He did surgery on my dog to help with her breathing, and the difference is unbelievable. She’s way more active and just seems so much happier now. You can tell he really knows what he’s doing and genuinely cares. Super grateful his practice —100% recommend him!

She underwent brachycephalic surgery, and not only did Dr. Shergill perform the procedure with great skill, but he also went above and beyond by traveling all the way to the mainland to ensure Ellie received the surgery she needed. His dedication, professionalism, and compassion were evident throughout the entire process. Ellie is breathing so much better and recovering beautifully thanks to his expert care. Fantastic experience: Very responsive, we were able to get Leo in with an ear infection the same day. Staff are kind and friendly. I was immediately acknowledged upon entering even though receptionist was with another guest. Vet technician was kind and empathic, very sweet and understanding with Leo. She took her time, listened and didn’t force him. The vet was gentle, friendly and very empathic also. He made Leo and I feel supported and understood. They helped with his ears and took their time to explain everything. Check out was fast and efficient. Follow up email checking in on Leo came in the next day and questions I had were answered promptly. Well done! Thank you for taking care of Leo and making his ears feel better.

Fantastic experience: We really like this little vet clinic. Our Chihuahua has received amazing care on each visit. They are very thorough, kind and caring with both pets and owners. They have a selection of pet food and treats, plus dental care and other products readily available for purchase.

Negative experience: Came in for the first time with my dog for shots and after a vet rudely came out to the parking lot and told me I couldn’t park in the parking lot. Rude and disgusting unprofessional behaviour, we won’t be back!

Negative experience: I took my dog to Vic West Pet Hospital for dental surgery. I do not recommend this vet for any work of significance. My senior dog was deemed high risk for anesthesia due to reduced kidney function by this vet. When I brought my dog in they mentioned they were very busy that day. How I wish I would have turned around when I heard that. He waited all day for his surgery and by the time he got it they were not able to complete all the dental work because he "didn't have the solution he needed" to complete one of the teeth. On the day I picked him up he offered to do the last tooth without charging for another round of anesthesia and told me the tooth had to be done because it was an abscess. He has since changed his mind on both of those statements. He came home still very groggy, with some other dogs collar and a cone sized more for a Labrador Retriever than a Shitzu. On the day I went in to retrieve my dogs correct collar I was shouted out of the office by the vet because I had the nerve to complain about the whole experience, which made the last aftercare visit for stitch removal very uncomfortable. The vet did change his tune about the tooth he neglected, now telling me it was not abscessed but could become that over time and that he had no interest in fixing the last tooth either. Obviously I had no interest in having him work on my dog again either. This lovely experience came in with a price tag of about $4000.00. I give this vet zero stars but can't post without giving him 1.

Negative experience: Not professional, overpriced. They do not explain well on what’s going on, if you want to know more, you’ll have to google it. This is really sad because this place used to be a good place, but disappointed nowadays.

Fantastic experience: VWPH is staffed with kind and knowledgeable people. The clinic is accessible by public transit but also has parking. The hours of operation are many -- which is a huge help. This clinic is independently owned and operated. Their fee schedule is very reasonable. Most importantly, the pet care here is excellent. Thank you VWPH.

My senior cat has become a regular at Vic West Pet Hospital and we have been very happy with the level of service we have received. If you are looking for a vet who is compassionate, patient and knowledgeable then look no further. Their rates are very reasonable and in our experience, they get down to the issues very quickly. We love having them close by to help us when we need them.

Negative experience: I like that they try to keep prices down from others and how the role of the job that they do to keep our babies well aug appointment 2023 Well I was happy to find out the results of moo I am abit concerned about what I think may have been not needed with moo we noticed the rear lump on her then as I sitting in the waiting room with her on my lap I noticed another one on her front shoulder so I asked the doctor well why do we need to take two separate tests as it’s clearly the same and all he seemed concerned about is well you don’t know what it is unless ok I agree but now I feel if I was dealing with a experienced doctor firstly I’m sure he would have told me his opinion saying well I think it’s just fatty build up mostly not cancerous but without testing we just don’t know and I’m sure if that was put to me like that there’s really no need to do both as one would have given us that information but I feel it comes down to making the money as clearly it’s about money as then to try and charge more than $200 to freeze a tumour of my dogs side $750 for a total bill in these trying times yes I feel it’s all about the money and not the little life’s we all care about so next time I only want to see the older doctor in your clinic as I’m definitely put off from my experience with this visit well after being with this vet for a few years now I’m very disappointed in how they continue to treat us with The lack of professionalism, their turnaround times stinks as they seem to overbooked themselves and also tell you one thing that they’ll walk you through this and guide you in the right direction, but you ask questions that are an answered from many of the doctors there then to continue to get charges for blood test that they don’t even give you the proper results from and that was the main doctor after spending several thousand dollars there I am going to a new veterinary as I have lost all confidence in them. They’re nice to your face, but then that takes some days to get back to you with matters that concern the loving parents I definitely strongly do not recommend Vic West pet hospital

I heard great things from friends whose dog is also a patient here, and had an overall excellent care experience. Feeling relief and comfort knowing I have this team looking after my cat for the years to come.

Positive experience: The staff are so caring and knowledgeable from the reception desk, to vet techs, to doctors. I feel our cat is in great hands and I love being trusted in our knowledge of him rather than being told what someone else thinks! Love being a part of the conversation and decisions. Front desk team does their best at a sometimes very busy clinic, but sometimes sensitive information is delivered in a rushed way and can feel a bit overwhelming. They are very efficient and kind but that's my only concern!

Negative experience: They didn’t ask permission to do extras and then tried to charge me for them. Also used equipment in an infected eye then used the same equipment in a healthy eye, so my dog needed their meds in both instead of just one. Level of care just isn’t great

Negative experience: They don't understand the governments very straight forward rules for animal export so they won't help you get the paperwork done to export pets out of country. Even if you already did all the legwork. They just wont do the CFIA's required ID check on MS teams (as required and explained simply in a step by step email from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency that handles pet export vet certifications)....

Fantastic experience: I recently brought my 16-yr old kitty Big Al in to Vic West after not being really impressed with rush service at a different vet… and was pleasantly surprised for this vet to spend a solid several minutes fully and gently inspecting him, taking her time, and being overall just super thorough and focused. It was absolutely refreshing and I feel like he really got the attention he needs and deserves. We’re still figuring out his tummy and tooth troubles but I’m so glad I brought him here and left feeling really looked after. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: I just fired my last vet. They recently moved from a small clinic office to a bright shinny huge space and became a hospital but NOT FOR THE GOOD. There level of care decreased and there prices went up. Furthermore I have been going to them for years and they totally missed a major dental issue. So I gave Victoria West Animal hospital a chance. Doctor Shirgill immediately noticed a dental issue and acted quickly to resolve the problem. Very friendly staff and Doctor Very patient and understanding of my concerns and importance of my dogs health. I have happily found my new vet.

Fantastic experience: So very grateful that I was able to get in for a same day appointment. Staff was all incredibly kind and knowledgeable and I really appreciated the attentive correspondence after the appointment.

Fantastic experience: This is the best office I've ever been to with any pet. I could not say a single bad thing about anyone here. I feel like family and they love my dog like their own.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who’s concerned about there dogs well being… we took our dog here due to some flared up back issues and he got put on medication which worked thankfully, 5 months later he had another flare up and we called them requesting an appointment or some more medication to help with his severe pain and were told no appointments for 3 days and they couldn’t give any medication without an appointment despite his symptoms being the exact same as the first time. We took him to another vet who couldn’t give any medication without the X-rays that were taken here and after requesting them to send them over 3-4 times and 2 different vet clinics calling requesting them they still hadn’t faxed them over… this resulted in what was once fixed by simple medication now becoming a massive issue and we had to put our 4 year old dog down. The incompetence of this vet clinic to fax a simple document that could have saved his life is ridiculous. It took 3 days for them to finally send it. Will never go back to this place again.

Fantastic experience: Consistently great experience, attentive care and trustworthy expertise. Dr. Shergal performed a very delicate operation on my dog that removed a tumor from her pancreas. The change was immediately noticeable and positive. Every visit has good interactions and discussions, without any pressure for any of the choices or options provided. My dogs are in good hands.

Fantastic experience: I cannot even begin to explain the love I have for everyone in this clinic. They have taken us on, and have helped us through every single moment. This last 2 weeks we said goodby to not 1 but both our dogs. With our cat a few months before. we have been met with compasion, respect , love, and comfort from everyone! Negative experience: Many years ago this was a decent place to take your pet. But ownership has changed and the head vet is horrible with pets and the front of staff is constantly changing..an clear indication that this is not a good place for employees nevermind our pets. This is now a profit oriented business. They don't care about animals just money. Word on the street is they've changed. And they have and so off to a new and better vet

Fantastic experience: My dog Wolfe was in extreme pain these guys got me in the next day for an emergency appointment. They were efficient and much less expensive than other places! Two weeks later the episode happened again and I called to see if they could see Wolfe again. Was not possible but was prescribed pain relief and booked first thing Monday morning. A special mention to Erica who had to deal with me and my stressed emotional state she is incredible at her job she is extremely compassionate and communicated with me on and off all day to try and calm me give me advice and organize getting Wolfe what he needed. Thank you guys!

Negative experience: Terrible experience. My dog was sick, they repeatedly tested her with no diagnosis, had me pick up medication for my dog and didn’t explain why…had to bring my dog to a different vet in the end when I was repeatedly being sent home with no answers.

Fantastic experience: It was incredible experience Dr. Vandeep Shergill took care of our lovely cat Tiffany. He provided all treatments that Tiffany needed and now Tiffany started to feel much better. Thanks a lot for your excellent customer service and your extra mile for us.

Negative experience: Don't know where to start .Made an appointment , for vaccines and an estimate for a surgery I was concerned about . Doctor didn't even do an exam on my dog in the area I was inquiring about . I did however ,receive all his 3 vaccines at that time . Once home I noticed the birthday was off by 2 years . Emailed them and asked for a new certificate with the correct date . I travel so the rabies certificate is extremely important. Still waiting to hear from them almost a year later !! I did however get an estimate for the surgery . . Went someplace else to have the EXACT same surgery done . Saved exactly $2143.17 Yes that does say over 2 thousand . That also included 3 up to date vaccines . Moral of the story SHOP AROUND.

Fantastic experience: The cats I have now are the first I've ever had under my name. Having grown up in an abusive environment towards myself and the animals I had as a child, I really want to make sure they have the best life I can give them. Vic West Pet Hospital has walked me through all of their care from day one and treated us like friends rather than just customers, I'm very thankful for them.

Negative experience: Called into the clinic regarding deworming medication for my 3 dogs, the attendant/receptionist who handled our call confirmed a price and amount of medication for all 3 dogs, upon arrival we were not permitted to purchase the medication for two of the dogs and was charged over three times the agreed price given to us during the phone call. Caused us to waste a significant amount of time and money. A heads up in policy prior to our arrival and more accurate quotes would have been appreciated.

Fantastic experience: Unbelievably compassionate professional staff. Looked after my cat since we bought her from the UK. In her last days while we were on holiday in Europe, they couldn't do enough, full debrief afterwards, with us every step of the way.

Negative experience: Firstly I would like to start by saying I understand everyone has bad days and struggles to leave these emotions at the workplace door when they walk in BUT, in the last 2 years I have been coming to this vet for produce I’ve had nothing but unpleasant interactions with the front desk..it doesn’t matter what kind of mood you come in they are snippy and standoffish and I almost always leave fighting tears. I have chosen to not bring my animals into this vet due to the treatment as I cannot guarantee my pets best interest..as a technician of 4 years myself the bedside manner is concerning. I suggest the head DVM/s have a talk with their reception desk about etticut if they wish to keep their clients as it projects a bad image onto the owners themselves. I have only come into contact with one receptionist with a positive attitude, a very sweet Filipina girl, otherwise my visits have been less then satisfactory and if esquimalt had another vet clinic i definitely would not continue giving my business to Vic west because of this disappointment, just because a client only gets product doesn’t make them any less deserving of a positive environment and will be the deciding factor in many clients whether they decide to have their pets seen at the clinic or not. I will be extending my business to downtown veterinary clinic from now on as the ladies are extremely cheerful and insightful and do not make me feel like a burden even though it is an hour out of my way on foot. Hopefully the standards can be set and improved. Happy holidays.

Negative experience: We booked our appointment well in advance. We showed up on time and were rudely told that they couldn't find us in the system. After a while she found us and blamed the booking system. We were told this would be a consult only since we booked through this 3rd party booking system. THERE is no other way to book. We don't need a consult before having our pet spayed. Simply trying to overcharge us. We lost time and money from missing work. Were treated rudely like it was our fault. If you love your pet, please go somewhere else.

Negative experience: Don’t know why this place has so much reviews and popularity. Front end staff are terrible at communication, one is painfully slow (waiting 30 minutes to pay). The vets aren’t so friendly and didn’t handle my mini dachshund with care and compassion. The space is old and run down. Feels like a third world farm house. I’ve also feel priced gouged at Vic West compared to other clinics. Explored another vet clinic and town and it’s been a world of difference. Much nicer and more thorough vet.

Fantastic experience: My expectations have been exceeded. Cute waiting room. Gentile staff. Easy to talk too. Great rates. Non pushy for optional vaccines. Great with our dog. 7/7 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency with my dog my vet wasn't working that day. I called everywhere and was so relieved to get an appt at 7pm here. The Dr and his assistant were so awesome with my dog and they were really thorough and assessed the problem quickly. Highly recommend Vic West. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I have been here several times now- once for my boxer dog and multi times for my 2 orange cats. I've seen a few different vets now and have yet to feel disappointed! I first came to this location to get a "second opinion"..the vet fixed the problem instantly when the previous pet hospital told me it was just "dog diarrhea" and will pass, when Infact it was her anal glands leaking. Thankfully I chose this office for a second opinion, I will now only come here! The front desk staff are all very welcoming and professional as well. It's not a fancy brand new office, or anything of the sort... but it does the trick ;)

Positive experience: First review was 5 stars… Hadn’t been here before but dog acquired a very sore paw Thursday, and regular vet couldn’t see him until Monday. Gave them a call and they were all booked for today (Friday), but Saturday, they managed to squeeze us in. Had to wait a bit over half an hour but the vet was very kind and thorough and didn’t oversell treatments (X-ray etc), and gave options if it didn’t improve on its own. Very helpful and kind folks. Left feeling comfortable with assessment and help provided. Recommend for sure. Thank you! ** update 09/08: While the two vets I saw (second time for other dog) were lovely, the front end communication is subpar. A couple of the girls are friendly, one I found I uncommunicative and a bit lost. Perhaps she is newer? One of the few vets open on weekends, I did appreciate them getting me in a second time on short notice, but the waits were untenable (waited over 45 minutes for vet with no communication, and over half an hour for an invoice). At the very end they said they had a few emergencies, which I can totally appreciate, but updating clients would be a huge help. Was there for over 90 minutes. Will mayybeee use in a pinch in future but will likely wait for regular vet during the week and take time off work.

Fantastic experience: i am so so please, you have no idea, i have been years with McKenzie Vet (which i had to sedated Bella the night before and morning before appointment and muzzle her, you guys are dog whisperer, you calmed my Bella so quick. Also spent many visits with them to never have an answer to Bella's pain, saw her suffering for a full year.( not acceptable). With you guys the very first visit, find out bunch of stuff and explain to me what was going on with my Bella, so far no more crying her energy level is back, so just want to say, thank you.

Fantastic experience: We've been fortunate to have the staff take care of Phoebe from little things to big things like her spay - and all little bumps and bruises that come in between. Everyone who works there from the front desk to the vet techs and vets are super kind, helpful, and understanding whenever we're dealing with something - no matter how busy they get. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I called today because one of my beloved new cats got a fishhook stuck in his paw. I’m sorry I didn’t catch the name of the member I spoke to, but she was so extremely helpful and was totally understanding of all my questions about the pros and cons of removing it myself and the financial questions I had. I ended up very lucky and being able to remove the fishhook myself, but I would’ve trusted these people in a heartbeat, and I cannot speak more highly of the empathy from the staff here.

Fantastic experience: I called as my puppy had done something to her paw .. she was crying and paw was swelling. Vic west pet hospital took us in within a half hour. They did an X-ray and examined her. Her paw was ok.. she might hv been stung by a wasp.. The hospital followed up with an emailed next day to see how she was doing.. Their service was quick and efficient.

Negative experience: I’ve had two experiences here. One with my cat having him neutered the receptionist was rude had my email wrong so I didn’t get the correct information before his surgery and then tried to blame me for it. Second was with my dog who I took in for an assessment on his teeth. I was told over $8000 to remove and fix them. He is 14 years old $8000 is borderline criminal. I took him for a second opinion and was quoted maximum 3300. That vet told me she’s never heard of teeth for an animal costing, I am not sure how they have received best in the city so many years in a row is beyond me.I left her feeling shamed and found the veterinarian to be cold towards my dog. Over the years I’ve had many experiences with different veterinarian clinics and have never experienced. This. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I was quite happy with the check up provided by the staff and Dr.s for my two kittens - they were quite thorough, caring, and informative. I was especially surprised to get a follow up note from the staff, checking on the animals' welfare on the day after, inquiring about their energy levels, food intake, etc. I am looking forward to continuing our pet relationship in the future

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs! Horribly overpriced price gougers guilty of malpractice. They gave my mother's cat in for a routine cut a contradindicated anaesthetic that gave the dear thing a heart attack and killed her. We paid what was agreed too despite my mother's trauma and they then called to demand more four months later. Then when i took my kitten in for vaccines i was charged double what was quoted. $385. A 20 minute appointment with an icy cold vet. Some of the staff is lovely and care but the business owners dont care for people or pets. It's all about making money off suffering people, no matter how disabled or elderly

Negative experience: Awful experience with reception. Vet policies/actual medical attention 100% make sense but the front end staff don’t communicate well enough and seem to be exceptionally overwhelmed and can’t take time to show compassion for case specific issues. One receptionist is warm and welcoming while the other is exceptionally dismissive. Was left waiting hours for a phone call and then treated like a nuisance for following up and asking for a Telehealth appointment with a vet to go over concerns prior to bringing my HIGHLY anxious LARGE dog in. This is even more upsetting as we were just there and they prescribed medication Without a test (they couldn’t keep my dog calm enough to do it) but now asking for even a vet call before anything else is somehow impossible. Truly disappointing.
