Fantastic experience: After our first visit, the clinic sent a very detailed follow-up email explaining exactly what was done during the appointment and what was prescribed, which I truly appreciated. They also checked in with us by text the next day. When I had a concern and reached out, they kindly squeezed us in and examined my kitten again on the same day. The team was incredibly caring, responsive, and professional. I highly recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: My pets have always been well taken care of at Vancouver South Animal Hospital. The staffs are friendly and extremely kind to me when I faced the loss of my late cat. They always charge fairly and never made me felt pressured to put my pets under any treatment. I really think this is a great animal hospital.

Fantastic experience: We were worried about our dog, Tori, as he had an eye infection and Clarissa was super helpful over the phone answering all of our concerns and what was required on our end in order to book an appointment at the clinic as it was our first visit. The process went smoothly and check-in at the front desk was also very warm and welcoming. It made me feel like we were taken care of immediately and Andrea checked us in with Dr. Butler. Dr. Butler was great! He was very knowledgeable, answered all of our concerns, and was very patient with us and gave us some helpful tips on how to continue upkeep of Tori’s dental routine! Thank you to front desk, Andrea & Clarissa, and Dr. Butler for caring for Tori’s eye infection and giving him all the treats he had that day on his visit!

I am also taking my pet back to china, they inform me about every possible details and procedure so that I would not miss any steps. Big thanks to Ariel, she helps me with all the documentation needed very friendly and patiently.

Fantastic experience: The staff at this clinic are always friendly and very accommodating. The vets we have met and spoken to were all compassionate and professional. They take time to explain whats going and address concerns about our fur baby. We had to do several follow-ups for treatments and re-check and each time we always felt heard and supported by the care team. All in all, I highly recommend this clinic. They recently move to a new location on West 58th and their new space is great. More spacious and welcoming than the previous clinic location.

Fantastic experience: A consistently great place for my pet care for the past 4 years.

Positive experience: I have been going to this clinic for maybe 2 years now. PROS: People are nice and polite there, and pricing is fairly straight forward. I chose them at first because they were the only ones who gave me an actual quote on a dental cleaning for my cat. All the other vets I contacted in Vancouver refused to because "it depends". So for me, that was something important because I have to plan my budget. That being said, VSAH is not cheap, but the pricing is aligned with most Vancouver vets. The vets (I met all 3!) there are very nice and patient, and they didn't stress my very stressed out cat. They take time to explain what's going on, what they can do, and they don't try to sell you more than what you need. They also listen to what you say, which is crucial because well, I'm the one living with the patient and the only one able to describe what's going on. The front ladies are nice too, very polite. CONS: well as mentioned before, they're not cheap, but it's Vancouver so nothing is cheap there. Also my favorite way of communicating is emails, but I noticed that most of the time they reply slow, or lately not at all...I have questions sometimes and well, I'm hoping to get answers, even if it's not right away! My last email from 8 days ago was asking them if they offered cold laser therapy for cats with OA. I never received a reply. Recently I went in for a consultation for OA issues, left with a treatment of painkillers for 5 days, that would be prolonged if his blood panel came back good. Turns out blood results were good but when I emailed on the last day of treatment to know what's next as cat was still limping, I was only told "we'll ask Dr Mira" and then nothing for a week, until I emailed back again asking if they forgot about me. I understand that they are busy moving to another location so that might have been bad timing, but still I'm a bit disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Thank you X1000000 I think the vets name was Percilla? She was extremely sweet, caring, and made sure I felt HEARD. I came in panicked about my frenchie who seems to have a spinal injury? Without an appointment they took him in right away and did everything within a hour. Cheaper than most places, very considerable prices. Before then I went to VAC emergency care and they were terrible- these guys really took care of us and made us feel heard. Thank you for taking care of my boy.

Fantastic experience: Vancouver South Animal Hospital has been amazing every time I’ve brought my pet in. The staff are kind, knowledgeable, and truly care about the animals they treat. They take the time to explain everything clearly and make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable. I really appreciate how clean and welcoming the clinic is too. Positive experience: Nice vet. Got anal gland and check up done. Reasonably priced. I just didn't like having to hold my dog down during it. But overall good experience.

I never felt pressured to do any unnecessary procedures or like they were just in it for the money- which unfortunately is the case at some other vets. Fantastic experience: Great vets and receptionists. Reasonably priced and always follow up. Usually lots of free parking nearby/on side streets. It was a rough week of stomach issues but Sadie is back to her regular self after getting checked at the vet on Sunday.

Fantastic experience: The team at Vancouver South Animal Hospital were so kind, patient, and empathetic. We booked a last minute appointment as our regular vet was out of town and we had some concerns about our dog. Dr. Irene took the time to listen to us, evaluate the symptoms, and explained our options to us. I never felt like I was being pressured into anything and it really gave us peace of mind being able to talk to a professional. I would absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a vet for their beloved pet.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Rex was very polite, patient, and easy to understand. He took the time to explain many things that other veterinarians would not. All the RVTs were very professional and helpful. I also appreciate how they provide estimates before proceeding with treatments and medications.

Fantastic experience: I always have a great experience with Vancouver South Animal Hospital. I've been taking my dogs here since I moved to Vancouver in 2015. The wait time to see the vet is never long, and I also appreciate that we usually go into the exam room right away so there's hardly interaction with other dogs (which reduces the excitement/stress of the visit). The doctors are always friendly, responsive, and caring, and I also appreciate that they generally have many options for scheduling (including on the weekends). Thank you for taking such good care of my four-legged companions! :)

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rex is professional and caring for my cat! He provided helpful, fair comments and suggestions, which is of utmost importance to us. He gave very detailed advice and the follow-up from him and the team has been phenomenal! Thank you all and I will recommend to my friends, especially if you want multi-lingual services as Dr. Rex speaks fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and English.

Positive experience: They were very accommodating with my last-minute appointment requests when my elderly cat got sick and provided her excellent care, despite her not being a regular patient. I appreciated that they didn't push any unnecessary services, tests, or medications.

Fantastic experience: I have had my cat here for her regular vaccines and other issues, and I have always gotten an appointment in good time and had no issues with cancellation. They have helped do some extra ear cleaning on my cat, and the staff are knowledgeable and kind. In comparison to some upper scale practices that have additional 'looks', you get a fantastic price for exams and services here. I recommend and have to others for general wellness maintenance of your cat or dog here.

Fantastic experience: The thing we dread the most as pet owners happened to me and I lost my best friend, my kitty at 11 years old. Not only was this place compassionate but didn't over charge for private cremation. Saving at least $130 compared to other vets in the city. They have plenty of urn options (included in price) and add ons, like paw prints or engraving. Thanks for making this tough day a little easier. I wish I could give you more than 5 stars .

Negative experience: Brought our dog here a couple of times in the past with great experiences but I feel like this clinic could use some feedback to improve their practice as this last visit was quite upsetting. I came here to get my 3year old Aussiedoodle his monthly cartrophen injections, which he’s needed on/off. He lives in Edmonton most of the time but comes back and forth between Alberta/BC every now and then. Anyways…I booked an appointment just the other day and they scheduled him in no problem. Not telling me anything else other than to be here for 130pm. So we arrive at 120pm they take him into the exam room and within a few mins they bring him back outside…I’m thinking the injection is done because it’s usually pretty quick BUT they refuse to give him his medication because he hasn’t been to this clinic in over a year which is ridiculous because he sees his regular veterinary clinic on a monthly basis in Edmonton and when I asked them I could get his vet records faxed/emailed over they REFUSED because it wasn’t their veterinary clinic that did the exam. The Edmonton veterinary clinic is a very professional clinic in-fact has better reviews than this clinic with 4.8/5stars and 442 reviews…why they will not accept records from them clearly just seems to be case of professional/corporate greed that would set me back 98$+tax, which is for a quick exam. If something was really that concerning I wouldn’t hesitate to get him checked up, this just seems to be a way to make a fast buck! Also from the last time I got his injection here I remember they don’t do direct billing…so if you’re a fan of direct billing, do not bring your beloved fur baby here as they care about money in their pocket first and not the consumer who is giving them this business. Also would have been great to know all this upfront but the front desk staff is very new and have little training at best at the moment.

Fantastic experience: Love all the staff here! Everyone is kind, and empathetic and they truly try their best to help our fur babies! Our kitty Tobi has had a lot of issues lately and they're always coming up with new ways to make him comfortable ... We will always bring out fur babies here! :)

Negative experience: I am really not satisfied with our first time experience here, almost $400 for a dog appointment that included a blood test and urine test, if it wasn’t urgent we would not be trying to book an appt as soon as possible, and we really expected better from here given the good reviews. Your office said results would be told to us on Friday morning! I called on Saturday since there was no call; you said because it wasn’t the same Dr they’d get another Dr to review the file and would call us as soon as possible. Now it’s Sunday afternoon! Is this really how your hospital treats new patients!? That we as a customer have to keep following up. Our dog’s bladder issues are urgent! We have waited patiently, knowing results aren’t instantly available; our visit was on Wednesday. Just because the Dr who looked at our dog isn’t working I don’t see how that’s an excuse to just ignore us and not give us the results that we paid for.

Fantastic experience: Our cats Milo & Primrose went to Vancouver South Animal Hospital for their annual check ups last week. The office staff were friendly, patient, and helpful. The vet took the time listen to our concerns and to explain things in detail to us so we understood. He also took the time to apply the parasite medicine to both our cats, which was helpful so we could see how it’s done. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: They were very accommodating of my last minute appointment requests when my elderly cat got sick and gave her great care even though she was not a patient. I didn't feel they pushed any services or tests or medicine she didn't need. They were compassionate and you can tell they cared. I ended up getting a case full of expensive vet food for her kidneys but unfortunately she didn't make it. Staff very kindly allowed me to get a refund the unopened food. Thank you for providing great and compassionate care for my cat in her final weeks ❤️.

Fantastic experience: The staff and doctors at this clinic are wonderful. Especially Dr. Brian who is my dog’s primary Doctor. My dog Oliver recently had surgery to remove a growth on his eye. He was very well taken care of. The aftercare for Oliver was 5 star, including a phone call from the doctor the following day to check on Oliver. All of the staff are helpful, knowledgeable and compassionate.

Fantastic experience: We love south vancouver animal hospital. Used to go to Anderson animal hospital on Granville then dr Anderson retired. And all his patients got sent to here . I’m glad this vet took over his patients because they are the best . Simply the best . Price is fair and the service and staff and care the staff provides exceeded my expectations. I will continue to come here out of my way from north Vancouver for Porshas check ups and future visits

Fantastic experience: I feel extremely lucky to have found this clinic. They have twice now taken in my dog on short notice and provided amazing care. They communicate so well and are very resonable with the course of care. I've never felt pressured to agree to excessive tests or procedures. I've had two dogs over 14 yrs and have been to countless clinics, I can confidently say this is the best in the city.

Negative experience: Very detailed diagnostic from Dr. Brian. He was very patient and answered all of our questions. Extremely happy with our experience! #####That was before. Something has changed this year and my experience is completely different now. My last 2 visits with this place were no longer pleasant, everything feels like a cash grab. They want me to do a bunch of testing + a vet consultation before I can refill prescription for my dog. All of that has already been done before, it was the same symptom, same dog, same medication. I no longer feel comfortable coming to this place.

Fantastic experience: I am fortunate finding Vancouver South Vet clinic this place feels like a small home town doctors office. Excellent treatment in caring for my pup The pricing for all his treatments have been fair and below what I estimated but enough to encourage me to obtain pet insurance.

Fantastic experience: I brought my 3 year old dog here yesterday to check out her injured back leg. When I called, I was the typical hysterical dog owner in a panic. Melissa answered the call and talked me off the ledge haha. She took over 10 mins to ask every question about how my dogs injury happened. Not overlooking any details. When I arrived for the appointment she greeted me and welcomed me. I met Dr. Wayne and he took a decent amount of time testing everything he could to see what the injury could be. In the end, a week of meds and 6-8 weeks of rest with no walks was the recommendation. He told me what to look for in regards to “improvement” vs. “Decline”. He was confident that this injury will pass and my dog should be back to her energetic fast self in 6-8 weeks. When I left it was like a weight lifted off my shoulders. Even if a lot of the stress was “in my head” , this team was so good and so professional. They clearly care about the well being of your fur-babies. I highly recommend this location.

Negative experience: i called 3 weeks before to get an appointment and ask for details ,procedures and price. they haved not being honest. i ask if they can reproduce this paper with all info so my dog can fly. on the phone they said 85$+taxes. once i get there is 85$+ plus taxes plus 40$+ taxes, the clinic never told me the needed information was 2 different fees. if I knew there was extra hidden fees i would be shopping around to accommodate my budget, they are not honest they make me feel they are money grabbers just like rogers,telus and bell hidden fees. they tell you what you want to hear to get you in the door and do extra services to bill you extra because they know you need it. the way they do business is irresponsible, disrespectful. all this dishonesty makes me wonder what can happen when your pet needs serious attention beware is my advice the front desk service is good and very kind but sad they need to act in hypocrisy to satisfy the boss thirst for cash.

Fantastic experience: This has been our consistent local vet since we moved to South Vancouver. The staff are always very friendly and they are very gentle with our cat. They also never try to push you to pay for things you don't need - they're very considerate about pricing. I'd say this is a great place to bring your pet. We're lucky to have such a good vet so close by.

Fantastic experience: I've taken my dog to Cambie Animal Hospital for the last 7 years, and they have always been welcoming, polite, and professional. Our dog has certain issues that need to be worked around, and they've always been understanding and accommodating. The people there are very caring, and you can tell that they really love animals. I've been extremely happy and satisfied with the care we have received there, and I recommend this place to all pet owners! It's also easy to park there, and there is green space outside - an added bonus!

If you're going through reviews to figure out if this vet can be trusted with the safety and well-being of your animal - they absolutely can. If cost is a major concern for you: The prices here are very fair. I've taken pets to various vets for a number of services, and in my opinion, the prices here were reasonable. Also, even in an emergency situation, I never felt like they pressured us or suggested any service that didn't feel necessary. Every staff member here truly cares about animals; I wish that was the standard for all vets but in my experience, that's not always been the case. From front desk to vet, they all empathize with what you and, more importantly, your pet are going through.

Fantastic experience: I used to go to Anderson Animal Hospital which was closed down ans merged with Vancouver South Animal Hospital. The staff here are amazing! They are all very pleasant to deal with and seem to really care about the animals they treat. Dr. Ng is so loving and patient with my cat and has kept me going back whenever my fur baby has an issue. Their prices are reasonable compared to some other clinics I've visited in the past.

Fantastic experience: Dr brian is so great with both of my dogs! He is thorough, kind, and makes them feel at ease. He explains everything thoroughly to me and I never have the sense that he is prescribing more then necessary. The vet techs are great as well, and the front desk staff were so accommodating and worked hard to squeeze us in for an important appointment.

Fantastic experience: The doctors at the Vancouver South Animal Hospital are very knowledgeable and professional. They resolved my dog's limping problem which was not able to be diagnosed by my previous vet. The staff is always so helpful and nice whenever I call. I feel I can rely on them for my dog's health. Fantastic experience: Always love the hospitality this vet clinic gives. They always find a way to accommodate me in their busy schedule despite my late requests. The vets here are very knowledgeable and gives diagnoses best to their knowledge as they don’t push you to do testing/ procedures you don’t want to opt-in. They let you know your options and that’s what I respect. Unlike, some places that require you to do testing and mandatory boarding, where you end up paying such a high price and at the end of the day not even be able to give a proper diagnosis to know what’s even wrong with your pup. I find their prices reasonable as I’m getting quality services for my fur babies. They are very detailed and will explain to you step by step on the pet’s medication. another thing i love is that their receptionists are top notch as I don’t even have to mention that my dogs have insurance, they immediately send the invoice to my insurance. Not to mention, they don’t make you wait forever, which is a big pet peeve for me, they get straight to your appointment time.

Fantastic experience: The staff are helpful and friendly. The vets seem very competent. I have been there several times over the last year, and I have always been impressed.

Positive experience: First of all the girls up front are very nice! Great customer service But the main issue I had was the communication between the vets. I had taken my dog to the vet on a Tuesday since he has not eaten any food since the previous Saturday and has also had issues with his back the previous 2 weeks. They did some blood work and urine tests. The blood test and urine test came back the next day Wednesday but because Dr. Ubi had Wednesday and Thursday off they did not voluntarily tell me about the results. I had to call 4 times on his day off and it took a little bit of anger and frustration from me to get the results told to me by the other vet. Now this other vet has no clue about the issues going on with my dog, which is understandable because she is not the primary vet of my dog. But mind you my dog is now 5 days without food and is very ill. I had to take my dog to another vet in Richmond. They were able to find out what was wrong with him within 2 days. Everything was done in house and I was very pleased. All in all I think the level of compassion from him was not so great compared to the vet in Richmond (Raps).

Fantastic experience: OK, always nerve racking finding a new vet. Especially when its COVID and you dont get the same in house meetings to be with your beloved pet. HOWEVER, this place is AMAZING. From the first contact through email I was met with a kind, friendly person on the other end. My booking was seemless and they even have an app to manage all your appointments, medication and such. YES! I arrived and was met with the same warmth and care, in a covered tent area, where they took time to learn about Suzie's current concerns, Suzie was wisked away and then after a quick period of time, the vet, Dr. Ubi came out to talk to me and was also very warm, real and genuine. Its so refreshing to go somewhere where A. They love what they do and it shows in their approach, B. care about your pets wellbeing more than making bank, which sadly, the latter is all too common in this city.. I will be transferring both my animals to this hospital for their future care. Highly recommend. Thank you for the great service and compassion. If you are in need of a great veterinary practice, call them!

Fantastic experience: Daisy is back to normal in just two days after her spaying. The Incision is healing nicely. She wants to run & catch her stuff toys but I end up throwing it to her. Great job on the surgery!!! Staff are amazing! Thank you!!!

Fantastic experience: This place has restored my faith in vets. The receptionists are always friendly and very informative if you have questions about the products they sell. The vet assistant who was handling my kitty was very gentle and kind when she saw how nervous my fur baby was. Dr Susie did everything she could to make sure my kitty was comfortable during the check up and testings such as blood work, and she never pushed for any unnecessary procedures. I was pleased to find the prices weren’t outrageous like a certain other vet I used to go to and that they didn’t look for reasons to inflat my bill. And the best part was being told that my kitty is an excellent patient. Thank you Cambie Animal Hospital for easing all the anxiety that I got from the last vet I went to and for being so good to my kitty!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ubi and the staff at Cambie Animal Hospital are so friendly and caring. Their passion for animals and their health really show in the way they greet and care for all the pets. We found Dr. Ubi to be very knowledgeable, gentle and thorough during our check-up. Fantastic experience: BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! I took my dog for his 3rd shot, and the veterinarian was SO gentle with him, his experience was the best. My puppy had a bad experience during his 2nd shot in a different place, and i was so scare about the reaction to the needle this time, but the doctor was the best, my dog didn't even notice it or cry. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED & the front desk staff is really helpful, knowledgeable and nice too!

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff! My dog has anxiety when he is away from home but the staff here were very caring and loving. They took care of both my cat and dog, and provided very thoughtful and honest insights. All the shots/vaccinations and recommendations were well explained before proceeding. Thank-you! I'm so glad we finally found the perfect vet. Also, the location is very easy to find because it's right on 59th and Cambie and there is free parking right in front.

Fantastic experience: Dr Ubi and all of his staff are amazing. The past October the 7th, we had to say good bye to our beloved cat Romi who was struggling with constipation and arthritis and at the end, with cancer. During the time Romi was in treatment, Dr Ubi always made sure that he felt comfortable. The day we said goodbye for the last time, Romi went peacefully. Today we received a sympathy card with a print of Romi's paw, and beautiful words from Dr Ubi and all his staff. It was an incredible and unexpected gesture. Fantastic experience: I initially chose Cambie animal hospital because it is so close to my house, however after having taken my dog there for over a year now I am so glad I did. The staff is incredibly, kind, generous, patient and considerate of myself and my dog who is a very hyper energetic little monster. The doctor's have taken great care of her and taken every step to make sure my questions are answered and I know what else to look out for to take care of my dog. Their staff also consistently calls after visits to make sure my dog is getting better and never pushes me to come in if I don't have to. Many times if it is a minor issue i have been only charged half the usual fee. I recommend Cambie Animal Hospital to all my friends.
