Expérience fantastique: I took both of my birds to see Dr. Jenkins today and she was absolutely wonderful. She was extremely gentle with them, is very knowledgeable, kind, and they loved her. Glenview offers great pricing for avian care and prioritizes pet health. If you are looking for an avian vet, I highly recommend Dr. Jenkins.

Expérience négative: One of the worst vets I’ve been too, they have no idea what they are doing! They don’t know how to properly diagnose an animal, they messed up when they removed my dog’s toe nail! The employees are also rude and dismissive, I will never go to this vet again and I would recommend others don’t either!

Expérience négative: Extremely overpriced. $620 to get my kitten spayed. Harbour Vet said they'll do it for $280. And this isn't the only thing that's way overpriced. We also told them we didn't want a procedure done on our kitten and the vet was super judgemental towards us and tried to make us feel bad about it. I regret ever going here and only did due to it's close proximity to our apartment. It's worth the 20 minutes drive to Harbour Vet.

Expérience négative: Stanley my bulldog went here for 16 years regularly and received great treatment for routine check ups and a few surgeries and un necessary tests. But the day I called because he was having trouble breathing the soonest the could see him was in 5 days! I took him to otterpoint veterinary who saw him in one hour. He was in congestive heart failure, without medication he would have died. Otterpoint helped us take care of him until the end.

Expérience négative: This place has gone down hill!! They use to be my trusted vet for years for all my animals. Now the the vet does not know about diagnosis! I will not trust them and would like to warn others before you take your companions there. I would rate 0 Stars, but there is no option for this. Reading the other reviews sounds like others are having the same experience. Beware!! And do your research. After giving my dogs urine sample they prolonged calling me back to give the results after days. I called them two times and they kept saying that the diagnosis is not serious enough to be a priority thats why the vet has not given you a call back. When they eventually do call back, they call my Fathers old phone number when I left my number with them three times! The vet eventually calls and kept making excuses that they would need to check things out with different procedures as they couldn't find anything, but she could not answer any questions I had about the procedures logically and sounded not confident in her practice. I will not tolerate individuals that work at taking advantage of a situation to make more money. They told me he does not have a bladder infection, when I went to get a second opinion, the test came back positive, as a bladder infection.This place is a cash cow. Shame on you!

Expérience négative: Called to ask if we could get our dog's paw looked at because of a thorn stuck in it and a hot spot. Was asking for a 5-10 minute look at his paw. They told me earliest availability was in 3 weeks. We spent thousands of dollars at this clinic and you can't check out his paw on short notice. Thanks a lot.

Expérience négative: Well... This has been 1 full year in waiting but I promised my dog that id do this... I "was" a very long time customer of Glenview Hospital ( Over 15 years ) but after losing my dog 1 year ago today I truly put the sole blame on Glenview animal hospital and the doctor that treated ( or lack there of ) my pup. The staff for the most part were kind but the treatment of my dogs situation could of been handled different and instead cost my dog it's life. After spending all sorts of money trying to help my dog and getting told what one of the issues were. There was no effort to treat an abcess tooth... instead with it going untreated for a very long length of time it formed a hole in the side of my dogs face that could not be repaired... my last visit to Glenview I begged them for antibiotics and possibly to try and stitch up her face and instead was told " Sorry, there is an appointment after you so I don't have time. You can take her to Waves." To put the icing on the cake i was then sent a condolences card after having my dog put down at Waves as it got to the point of no return... The card they sent me said they were very sorry for the loss of my little guy... SHE WAS A GIRL !!! I would not even give 1 star if I could and I can promise that I will not only never recommend Glenview to anyone but will go out of my way to recommend my new Vet as he is amazing and truly loves animals and clearly does not make it just about a paycheck and a schedule. Disappointed !

When the dog wouldn't eat we thought he was picky, but then he threw up; we checked the cans and they had all expired two months ago. Took three unopened cans and one open can to Glenview and the manager acted like she was doing me a favour by refunding three cans. She was concerned about what the manufacturer would refund them, not at all about us. Quality has declined significantly since Eagle Rise closed. Time to find a new clinic.

Expérience négative: We have been dealing with Glenview for several years, was fabulous service from the tech to the doctors. That doesn’t exist anymore! Apparently they absorbed a closing vets list of clients and have abandoned their own client list or at very least forgot their own clients. Our beastie injured his front left wheel and was given an appointment 3 weeks out and not with doctor who has seen him in the past. It appears they are losing doctors. I’m told they have the same ownership group so that mustn’t be the issue. This is a real shame as Glenview was a superb service provider. 3 weeks out!!? They were so great, it’s sad. Our dogs and cats loved to come and visit. Now, just don’t expect timely service. Comment further the doctors, technicians and staff are the best in the world. They are so kind and caring. Our little terrier Gryphon loved going to visit his friends the techs and helped him on his journey to the rainbow bridge. Absolutely fine people. Thank you. ❤️

Expérience fantastique: Had a great vet (Erica) and vet tech (Sara)today with our dog . Both were great with our dog and friendly . Nice to go to a clinic that obviously loves animals.

Expérience positive: Unfortunately this clinic has become more of a commercial vet clinic than when it was a privately owned clinic. During my past few visits I saw a big push on things that were 'nice to have done' treatments rather than truly essential. For example 3 to 4 flea and tick treatments a year, etc... The staff is friendly but with some you are not the primary customer like it was when Dr Collis owned and practiced at the Glenview Animal Hospital.

While the doctors are very kind to both people and animals, the overall service is unprofessional — and I’m not referring to the doctors. Unfortunately, the staff at the front desk are not helpful or kind when addressing customers’ questions. I believe this is something that should be improved.

Expérience négative: Here is the experience I had with Glenview Animal Hospital when I brought in my dog. They fit my dog in for a same day appointment so I could discuss his recent cancer diagnosis and treatment options /palliative care. The front desk did not interact with my dog, and did not interact with me at all after informing me that my appointment was at 1115, not 1130. Dr. Jenkins was friendly, and referred my dog to see a veterinary oncologist at VCA. She said she could refill his current pain medication (carprofren) but there would be a few days delay since it wasn't normally prescribed and would have to be specialty ordered. She recommended adding another pain medication (amandatine) and let me know I'd have to pick it up at a human pharmacy. It was a different front desk person when I left and they were very friendly, making time to say hello to my dog. This was Monday March 31. Friday I got a call from the pharmacy saying they had just received a prescription from Glenview, and would have it ready by the end of the day. I was still waiting for the carprofren. By

Expérience négative: Unfortunately my last visit blew any good reviews I had for this place. It was traumatizing for me and my cat. I was called a liar and this particular vet had some kind of weird vendetta against me even though I didn't know her from a hole in the ground. All I needed was for my cats pain to be taken seriously and instead I was ignored and mistreated. It's sad that one bad seed can taint the reputation of an otherwise good place. When I requested my cats file to be sent to my new vet clinic they did not include the $400 of test results "supposedly" done recently. I never saw proof. Dr. Jenkins, before your appalling treatment of me and my cat I didn't have one complaint about this place. I hope you look inside yourself and get some help so no other animal will have to endure what you put him through.

Everything went well...I just had my dog Dudley,who hasn't been eating for 5 days in to see Dr. Heagle...absolutely wonderful Vet...talked in layman's terms...the best check up on any of my animals that I have had in 50 years.. After prescribing medication...she called to check how Dudley was doing twice. Highly recommended

Expérience fantastique: It's hard to find a reptile vet in the Greater Victoria Area, but the staff at Glenview were great with my reptiles! I myself stay educated and up to date with new research, and I can tell that the vets here know their stuff, which is sometimes rare for reptile vets, so I was very pleased! They were super nice and caring, offered me different treatment options, and have been checking in with me every few days to make sure my beardie is getting better. Their care shows and it means a lot. Thank you!

Expérience positive: Amazing. Above and beyond. I took my hamster here at the beginning of August after I found a large lump on her very suddenly. They were quick to get us in and made us both feel as comfortable as possible for the situation while they took needle biopsies of the tumor. The results took a week to come in which was a little long but the samples were sent to Vancouver for analysis. They gave me options based off of the results and didn't try to push anything. Bean was diagnosed with cancer and the cost of surgery vs how much longer it would have given her didn't seem worth it to me so I put her on medication to feel better while I took a few days to say a proper goodbye and let her see some of her favorite people. On the day of her euthanasia they knew the moment I walked in (20 minutes early even) and already had the room ready for us to go straight into. They did all four paws on a clay disc for me when I was only expecting one, and today they sent me a card in the mail, hand written from each of the staff members that worked with Bean and I. Thank you for everything you do Glenview staff ❤️

My little gal has some anxiety issues and decided the stethoscope was some dangerous predator and may have attempted to put it in their place and the veterinarian and assistant took it with such grace. I highly recommend this vet!!

Expérience négative: The most negligent veterinary facilty in Victoria. If you value the safety of your pets, do NOT take them here. They will lie about prices, and lie about life saving medications for your pet and promise you that if you need to extend a perscription, that it will be no problem to get more. Next, they will deny having any conversation about a persciption when it most definetely should have been written down somewhere, not just a verbal agreement. Our cat had been in multiple times for the same urinary issue before and every time was percribed the same thing to help him, so they were well aware of the ongoing issuues and never had a solid answer, just a bill. I understand there is a veterinarian shortage at the moment but that does not excuse being negligent. Thankfully Waves saved the day and we still have our cat. Unfortunately it wound up costing us thousands of dollars rather than 100 for the medication promised to us. *Update: for the record we have been customers of Glenview for YEARS bringing in a small Zoo(MULTIPLE CATS, CHINCHILLA, BEARDED DRAGON) Clearly you are having some serious trouble with communication and keeping records, yet again underlying the lack of empathy and customer care in youre clinic. You had so many opportunities to make things right. My Girlfriend called for for Days leading up the the altercation you have spoke of. Please stop lying. It doesnt look good.. It was FAR more than 2 hour turn around. Also, im not sure how the event you have described could have had any impact of the care we had recieved prior. Unless our fundemental understanding of the space time continuum is incorrect. And remember ; this is a review of Glenview... not me.

I cannot express how grateful I am for their persistence with this and now a treatment plan is in place.

The avian vet took really good care of Niko, even going so far as turning the heat down when my little buddy showed signs of being hot. Expérience négative: My cat was utterly misdiagnosed by the vet. I was handed a $2000 estimate for dental procedures when in fact she had a very agressive type of oral cancer and nothing could be done about it. I got a second opinion the very next day and this type of cancer in cats is easily diagnosed. Not only that, but I was pressured to have her put down if money was an issue. I gave my cat pain management meds and she died peacefully at home six weeks later. I don't recommend this place at all.
