Expérience fantastique: I was referred to see Dr. Barbossa by my vet for a growth on my two year old corgi-mix's eye. I was quite worried having to see a specialist for a mass on such a young dog, but Dr. Barbossa was extremely patient, honest and friendly. I appreciate her wanting to avoid unnecessary (and I assume costly) surgeries. I'm so happy and relieved to know my dog is in good hands... and that my wallet isn't being tossed down a rabbit hole of expensive and needless procedures. Thank you Staples Animal Hospital!

Expérience fantastique: I'm beyond grateful for Dr. Barboza and the whole team at Staples. The compassion and kindness we've received while going through one of the most stressful experiences of my life has made it so much easier to breathe through something that has been truly overwhelming. When my cat’s stitches came out unexpectedly on Sunday night, I emailed Dr. Barboza thinking I’d hear back the next day. Instead, she replied that evening and had us come in before the clinic even opened the next morning to make sure everything was okay and to remove the remaining stitches safely. That kind of care and dedication is rare. She has gone above and beyond for my Chewie at every step, and I genuinely feel like he’s in the best hands possible. From the front desk to the techs to Dr. Barboza herself, every single person we’ve interacted with has shown compassion, patience, and professionalism. I’m forever grateful for the level of care Chewie has received. I would recommend Staples Animal Hospital without hesitation to anyone who wants their pet treated like family.
Expérience fantastique: Our visit was very pleasant, educational, the staff and optometrist were very helpful and friendly.
Expérience négative: Once Dr. Staples sold his clinic that was the end of old knowledge. My dog had an allergic reaction to one of the vaccines and all they wanted me to do was come back and get more. I got an exemption letter from a dif vet clinic and would NEVER go back to Staples. They just care about money there. So sad and disappointing.

Expérience fantastique: I had the best experience with Dr. Wang and staff. The Dr. explained everything very clearly about my cat Ed's Hyperthyroidism and high BP, she also explained the different options for treat ment as well. I took a video of Dr. Wang taking Ed's BP and would you believe its taken on their tail, closest to their butt. They did blood tests on Ed in the room because I explained I once had a bad experience with a Vet doing more procedures than I had agreed to. Dr Wang was very understanding and didn't mind doing them in the room with me there.(I couldn't watch) The Vet Tech that was helping Dr. Wang was gentle and loving with Ed. The front office staff is very kind, courteous and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about our experience there. **Dr Wang would like people to know about how important it is to have your cat's BP checked with Hypothyroidism.** I'm sorry I am unable to post the video, it was interesting.

Expérience positive: The visit was fine and the facility is top notch. As with all veterinary clinics pricing is astronomical. I have no idea how they can justify these prices. Clinics in Switzerland and Singapore charge less, I don’t understand how a clinic in London, Ontario is more expensive than the most expensive countries in the world. Went out of necessity, and will only go back out of necessity but what’s happening to the veterinary industry in this country is out of controls
Expérience fantastique: This is not our usual vet, but we had to bring our cat to Staples for a special referral and resulting surgery. The consulting vet and her assistant we so knowledgeable, kind and great with my scared and injured cat. The front office staff are friendly and helpful. The price we paid for a specialty surgery was very reasonable.

Expérience fantastique: Our dog recently passed away and the staff was very compassionate not only on the phone but when my daughter and her father had to bring our deceased dog in to be taken for cremation... Jake gave my daughter a few private moments to say her last goodbye... Jake was very compassionate on the phone when i called crying and tried to get the words out that our dog had passsed away... I was so sad with our loss.. he was our sweet boy for 15years I had forgotten to ask for his shirt and blanket back that he had with him in his last moments..... When I called to ask for his belongings, they were very nice and told me they would retrieve and wash them for me.... It has been a few weeks since his passing and I have been away, but arrived home today to the most beautiful surprise in the mail.... I received a card with not only his paw print, but nose print as well and some of his hair.. this is something we will forever be grateful for and were not expecting.. thank you to the staff and vet for caring for our dog over the years and for this gift that we will forever cherish. I would highly recommend Staples Animal Hospital they are kind compassionate and attentive and care about your pet. Thank you so much.
Expérience fantastique: We travelled all the way from Guelph to see Dr Barboza when our little chihuahua was in dire need of more specialized care for a stubborn corneal ulcer. The entire team was exceptional and I'm very grateful for their care and compassion. Would go back in a heartbeat if ever needed, and would highly recommend.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been so worried about my sick fur baby Misfit. Dr. Wang and her staff were incredible today. From fitting in an emergency appointment to making sure Misfit was comfortable and cared for the whole time.
Expérience négative: Staples was recommended to us by a friend a few years ago… My fiancé and I used staples a few years ago for our 14 year old girl Charlotte and had no issues with staples till Charlotte’s health declined and they found a large mass in her lungs as well as on her leg, they recommended we go to Toronto or Ottawa and spend thousands to diagnose what was suspected as cancer we refused to put our 14 year old dog through that and staples refused to do anything further. A few days later we took her to a different vet and they confirmed in an hour she had cancer all throughout her body so we decided to have her put to sleep that day as she was in a great deal of pain and suffering. Fast forward to now we decided to still use staples as it was closer to us. Our current dog Luna has a bit of fear reactivity from her past as an abused dog and has been really scared in new settings, with this vet being “Fear free” we thought it was perfect…..For the first few visits Luna was required to be sedated and she needed a double dose each visit, we agreed thinking it was best. However the last few times Luna has had adverse reactions to the sedation and has made her more scared. We talked to someone on the phone about this and they said for her next visit we were more than welcome to bring her in without sedation to try it out. When we got to the back room we were asked if she was sedated we said no we were ridiculed for that as the vet said “it’s not what’s best for the mental state of the dog” meanwhile she was laying down showing no signs of aggression and relaxing and they did the exam just fine. Staples want us to sedate our dog each visit instead of working with Luna and her fear because sedation is far easier than actually doing your job, right? Wont be returning as my fiancée and I refuse to sedate our dog for each visit when she doesn’t need it. They seem scared of dogs that aren’t your typical friendly dog, they rather sedate said dog over working with them and favour easy dogs over the challenging ones. Will not be returning as we already found a new vet.

Expérience fantastique: Bowser absolutely loves his visits with Dr.Barboza, she has done amazing work to repair his ulcer and reduce his scaring very thankful for her. Everyone in this building is just so freaking amazing, so welcoming and overall caring with whatever you're in for. There's no doubt in my mind that any animal that walks through those doors are very well taken care of in the hands of this hospital. These are the kinds of people you want doing this job, they love your animals like it was their own and they treat them as such. Can't believe a place with such great people like this exist.

Expérience fantastique: Every year or two years we travel from Europe and do checkups for my 14 year old small dog, due to a chronic heart condition because we live in a small country so there is a bit of limited vet equipment to check him good(although we have the best and most experienced caring vet, saved my dog many times). I always get excellent attention from Staples clinic and yes, you have to wait, I am prepared for that, but both doctors I saw were attentive at the appointment and provided me with good asserted opinions. The reception is quite busy and sometimes I think they are just unaware that they can come across as inattentive but I don't blame them, I know they are doing a great job even with the amount of patients they see daily. Their prices are fair too, I never felt as if they were suggesting more treatments or other stuff to make extras, other places tend to push unnecessarily when possible.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They took the time to answer all my questions and made sure my dog felt comfortable throughout the visit. The eye specialist was not only knowledgeable but also took great care in explaining the diagnosis and treatment options. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients and their owners. Expérience fantastique: This is an updated review. My first review was done last January. I deleted it. I gave a 3 star review. This was due to unfortunate circumstances. I feel my review should be about the doctor and of course the staff. But it's better to say something nice. On July 29th, I was running late. My husband and I are never late. When we arrived we were greeted kindly and taken straight to weigh our 6 pound toy poodle, Florence aka Floie. We were helped by a very nice young man named Joāo, it's a Brazilian name. He told us to call him John. I was determined to get his name said correctly. Joāo was very helpful. When Dr. Barbosa came into the room, she was smiling and it made me feel good. My husband had to take a business call, and went out of the room. Dr. Barbosa is so sweet. She is sensitive to the patients needs and the parents needs. She is also the same height as me. It's nice to look at someone eye to eye. She also recalled how Florence got her name. She called Floie "Flo" and I said "No that was my mother's name." During the exam, everything was explained to me, and Joāo was really great at keeping Floie calm. Dr. Barbosa understands that I have an autoimmune disease and took the time to write down everything for me so I would not forget. She also touched my arm and it was comforting to me because a touch can help anyone feel better. I highly recommend Dr. Barbosa to any pet parent who has the need for eye care. Expérience positive: I saw a different vet this time for my cat and she was very knowledgeable and super nice. The tech that assisted her was also very friendly. Minimal wait time this time around. The only thing I realized after was that I asked for a quote as to how much my cat's appointment would be and it ended up being $20 more than what I was quoted, unsure why still. I had also asked for another quote for my second cat that I'm bringing soon, was told that I would get someone in my email and I still haven't received that. I have to follow up before her appointment. Everyone has been friendly so far.
Expérience fantastique: Dr. Du Plessis and every tech and admin are so lovely, helpful and transparent. Always a good experience with them, even when the situation with my fur baby is stressful.
Expérience négative: My pup was needing to be fixed and Staples required us to book a wellness appointment checkup before the procedure, despite the fact that we had been in to see them a few months before for shots. We went and they - Dr. Viera and 2 vet techs -basically weighed the pup and treated them to some treats. They said the cost estimate was to follow. That 5 min visit weigh in cost us 120$ Then the estimate came in at over 1,000$ - plus the 120$ to weight the pup- requiring deposit and with a note that the procedure could possibly cost more. Well, we asked a friend who recommended a vet in the county a short drive away. They told us over the phone the cost was less than half! A great no nonsense Vet and clinic. The dog was weighed the day of the procedure, no additional visit or increased costs. We switched immediately had the procedure done and are extremely happy. Staples was over priced and was running the bill up. Their care is adequate but prices have soared! Worth checking out prices of vets in nearby counties.

Expérience négative: Dr. Barbosa cancelled our surgery two days before it was supposed to take place and said that she was not comfortable doing the surgery. This is after she charged us for the consultation and pre-op meds. She asked us to check with our local vet to assess the pre-op bloodwork to see whether or not he thought she should go ahead with it, and even after he said it was okay she completely ignored his word and told us she would not do the surgery. Why would you ask us to consult our vet if you were just going to ignore his answer anyway? We are appalled at the unprofessional and frankly rude manner in which this was handled, especially by her secretary, and even our local vet is confused at this behaviour. I can see why your front desk has a sign against verbal abuse because the secretary must get a lot of it with her poor behaviour.
Expérience fantastique: The best vet experience I've had! I have an anxious dog and Dr. DuPressis, the vet tech and the front desk staff were so kind and patient. They made this visit way less stressful for both my dog and myself. They really care about your pet and treat you with so much kindness and respect. So happy to have them as my pet's vet!
Expérience négative: We have switched away from Staples animal Hospital. We’ve had a couple of experiences with our last dog, where we we felt we were overcharged for services as well as being overcharged and continually suggesting medication for elderly dog. We just have a new puppy who has had her initial seven week vaccinations. When we called to book another appointment for her second set of vaccinations, the staff suggested that we had Again, as an extra added, cost to the vaccinations. This also happened with our daughters dog. We switched to another vet

I am sorry that you feel you were overcharged for services and medications, we never want our clients to feel as if they are being overcharged.
For vaccinations we follow the AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) guidelines. We always recommend adding the Lepto vaccination due to the increased cases we have seen in London. There are additional vaccinations that are recommended based on the pets lifestyle. Should you wish I would be happy to discuss this further with you.

Expérience fantastique: Last month we took my mom to take her precious dog Teddy to cross over the Rainbow Bridge as he was very ill. What we experienced as clients of Dr Colin DuPlessis was nothing less than caring, professional and amazing. Dr Dupleasis and his team immediately put my mom and Teddy at ease knowing that this was one of the most incredible difficult things for my mom and us as family had to do. Not only did they scoop us up right when we walked in for our appointment away from the general public for our privacy at this most difficult time, they made sure that my mom had the necessary information to make an informed decision. Once it was made they then led us to a room that was very special and comfortable much like your own living room to spend every waking moment as we possibly wanted to be with our dearest Teddy until my mom was ready to let Teddy make that trip. They allowed us to stay as long as we wanted and there was no pressure, no rush and very very supportive measures taken to ensure that Teddy and mom were taken care of. The team was incredible and even though this was a sad moment for my mom they made it a little more tolerable and better by Dr Colin DuPlessis and his team at Staples. I would recommend this vet team to anyone as I had taken both Teddy and my own dog whisky there for years until I myself moved out of the area. I can’t thank Dr DuPlessis for the care and respect and dignity he gave Teddy and the peace of mind and comfort they gave my mom that day. A moment we will never forget but made a little bit better by Staples Animal hospital and Dr Colin DuPlessis.
Expérience fantastique: Dr. L. Wang is truly amazing, loves her job and it shows. The entire team is incredible, I was referred by a friend and will always bring my pets to them! EDIT: I lost my boy, the sweetest little bush kitty that ever was. When we returned his medication the staff was so very empathetic. We received a lovely condolence gift from the whole team, it meant more than anything knowing we weren't the only ones who'd miss him. Thank you Dr. Lilia and team!

Expérience négative: I recently moved to London from 6 hours away and hadn't taken my elderly dog to the vet yet. I came home from work one day and she had taken a turn for the worse. I am assuming a stroke or heart issue. I called the office in tears to have her put to sleep but I was refused. I was told I was not a client so I couldn't bring her there. Where is the compassion for animals? This a disgusting! I was given a number for a mobile vet but unfortunately you have to make an appointment with their receptionist who only works till 4 and this was 5pm. My poor little dog lasted only alittle longer. At least she was with someone who cared. I will never go to or recommend this clinic ever!

Expérience fantastique: We have had excellent service with Dr Wang since just becoming new clients this past week. Our little kitten is thriving much better since her efforts and has played more than she has in weeks. Dr Wang did a very thorough exam on both my kittens, giving me honest and helpful advice and information. Breaking up next steps into portions to help with cost. Calling me without an appointment. We are so pleased we joined Staples.The other part that I wanted to mention was the front reception staff from holding the door for me on my way in and out so I could comfortably get both kitties in, to always answering the phone and being informative and helpful. Pleasant to talk to, and always so kind. I will recommend staples to anyone who asks.

Expérience négative: I'm shocked at the awful service. I've had good experiences here previously, but something is changing there and I would NOT recommend going there. I went in with my girlfriend who's had an awful go with her dog. She was upset and scared, and the vet was rude and insensitive. She told him she didn't know what her next steps are, and he gave her vague answers and rushed her out. Please don't go. Taking your pet to the vet is be stressful enough.

Expérience négative: BEWARE! Let’s start by saying this is the first time ever that I’ve left a negative review. These are very dishonest people. They misdiagnosed my dog with cancer. Told me he had 2 weeks - 2 months to live and they suggested I put him down. Turns out he only had an eye/tooth infection. They prescribed medication that nearly killed him.
Expérience fantastique: I have been going to staples for close to 20 years with various animals, and we were lucky enough to have 2 dogs with Addisons disease. The doctors at staples over the years were incredible at helping us maintain a healthy life for our pups allowing them to live long lives! Things got very complicated at the end for our sweet Brooklyn and Dr. Vierra went above and beyond. She was thoroughly invested in our case and provided the best care possible. Staples feels like family and we are so grateful for the knowledge and generosity they have given us over the years.

Expérience négative: The salespeople at the counter took full advantage of my mother's dementia before she was diagnosed. They care more about money than helping. Edit: So you're saying her getting upset about being ripped off is why she was treated poorly in the first place? $500 to shave out mats and continuously trying to upsell unnecessary services is appalling, let alone when it's fixed income seniors you're targeting. There are many vets in this city that care more about our pets than money, please find one instead of using Staples.
Expérience fantastique: My kitty was having a really rough time. I needed to get her help ASAP and they got me in Immediately. They got her diagnosed quickly and a week later with meds n love, my kitty was back to normal.

Expérience fantastique: Best animal hospital there is! My little guy loves coming here and is always greeted by their friendly and loving staff. It is obvious they all have a passion for caring for animals and I don't think I would ever go anywhere else. The manager Nicole provides the best customer service and all the other staff go above and beyond to give us the best experience. Bogey especially loves getting his 'pup charcuterie board' and looks forward to his visits!
Expérience négative: It has been 4 days now since our visit on Wednesday. I'm literally still sick to my stomach. I took my 16 month old perfectly healthy dog there because she had a bit of a eye infection in 1 eye. I have been going to staples for over 10 years. No complaints. I told assistant and Dr. Barboza that irritated eye was maybe from playing with another puppy or she loves ball fetch in our bushes and maybe scratched her eye a bit. Dr. says she has to rule things out and check for tumors. I replied with, why would she have any tumors? She just had all of her up to date shots with you and check-up. Perfectly healthy. Dr. repeated herself and did not tell cost at all. Dr. then put my puppy dog through unnecessary trauma. Had to put muzzle on her. Lucy loves all dogs, adults and children. Procedure was a little slip with yellow drop on it in her eyes then to look with a camera. And then feeling with fingers. Lucy not having fun. I'm upset inside and trying to keep Lucy calm. No tumors of any kind. Already knew that. Dr. says it's probably scratch and I'll give you drops for it. I'm figuring $150-$175 roughly cause there was no mention of cost. I go out front and get medication and they tell me it's $402. I'm like what? They repeat cost $402. Unbelievable. Very upsetting. If Dr. had told me cost of unnecessary yellowish drops ahead of time, I would never of agreed to it. $60-medication. $340-yellowish drops procedure. I really don't know if I'm going there again. I will say that I have always dealt with Dr. Vieira and she is excellent. Staff is awesome especially the people at front desk.
Expérience fantastique: I am not one to post reviews; however, on this occasion I really wanted to express my appreciation. My dog, Farley, was 14 years old and has always had excellent care at Staples. At the end he got lymphoma and went downhill very fast. All the staff were so wonderful to us - I really wanted to thank them all. The vet was very caring and treated our Farley with such respect and dignity. We did not know what to expect and we were walked through the process. I cannot thank all the staff enough - 14 years of wonderful care and a dignified and supportive end of life. Thank you all so much from the bottom of our heart.

Expérience fantastique: Big shoutout to Dr. Barboza, vet tech and reception staff here! We are fostering Buddy, a dog from Baladi Dog Rescue of Ontario, and he arrived from Egypt with some eye issues that had been dealt with there but appear to have worsened after his flight here. We called all around SW Ontario to find an emergency ophthalmology appt for him but to no avail... then a miracle happened and there was a cancellation on Sept 20, 2022 with Dr. Barboza at Staples close by to where we live. When i moved to London over 40 years ago, we went to Staples but I eventually moved away and haven't been back in decades. It was so reassuring to see the same reception area benches that I had sat in all those years ago, as well as the warm reception we received from the intake staff. Buddy was quickly seen by Dr. Barboza, who spent a lot of time with him as well as us. She and her vet tech were not only thorough and meticulous, but also genuinely kind and caring. They were very informative and reassuring, and we really appreciated their stepwise approach to Buddy's diagnosis and care. Buddy has had regular followup with Dr. Barboza and her team since then, with amazing communication of their clinical approach (thanks to the clerical team too for accommodating all my requests for his electronic records!). We are beyond thrilled, relieved and grateful for the high quality care and kindness the entire Staples team has shown to both Buddy and ourselves. Bravo et Merci!
Expérience fantastique: I'm moving to British Columbia and my dog gets anxious sometimes. The team at Staples consulted with me and came up with a detailed plan how to get my baby girl ready to fly. Vaccinations up to date as well on top of great education / advice in regards to her ear infections she's gets from time to time. The location is well lit and clean. The staff are super friendly. A+++ experience all around. Bonus points the last time charlie had an issue they gave me free advice over the phone and we got it resolved without a visit. Highly recommended!

Expérience fantastique: It’s taken me a while to post a review because I had a pretty traumatic experience. My 11.5 year old, 6lb Yorkshire terrier was violently attacked by a Great Dane. She picked her up, raised her over her head and shook her. Then she threw her over my head and my little dog plummeted to the ground. It took me 30 minutes to drive to Staples where they came running when they saw her little blood covered body, open with an 11cm gash covering most of her tiny body. She looked like she had been skinned. They took immediate action and in spite of all the odds that she wouldn’t make it, Dr. Vieira was able to save her life. She needed much more care with specialists after this because of tissue necrosis over a large area. However, if Dr. Vieira and her amazing staff had not taken immediate action, she would not have been able to survive the attack. They were compassionate, kind and very invested in my little girls care. They were also very caring toward me as I was in a very traumatized state of mind after this experience. We managed to avoid having to amputate her leg, I believe mainly because of the swift action of Dr. Vieira and my pup ended up regaining altered use of her leg after all of her muscles had been severed. Dr. Vieira performed a salvage attempt that proved successful. If this hadn’t been done, her leg would have later had to be amputated due to the severing of all of her shoulder muscles. After a lengthy stay at the OVC in Guelph where they took exceptional care of her, we made a surprise visit to Staples and the staff were so welcoming and so happy to see her. She made rounds saying hi to everyone who helped save her life and it was such a lovely reunion. I think it goes beyond my saying, that I would most highly recommend Staples, any and every day.

Expérience fantastique: I brought my dog, Ace, in for a wellness checkup and his prevention medication. It was our first visit. He's a rescue and very skittish, but everyone we encountered in the office was so patient and kind to him. He warmed up pretty quickly. We were even given a pamphlet with information resources that may be helpful with his adjustment, training, etc. Seems like the staff genuinely cares about their furry patients, which is reassuring.

Expérience négative: Very disappointing, the female at the front desk is unbelievably rude. I waited 1 1/2 hours for my booked appointment and no apologies for there delay. My follow up appointment, which was unnecessary, just a money grab, I was late, she called and said there is a five minute window and I have to rebook. There is a $80 fee for no show, I will never go back there again!

We are sorry to hear that your recent experience with us did not go as expected. I rounded with the team to enquire about the delay in your initial appointment and then the follow-up.
In your most recent experience with us, we do not have a delay noted though you were here for a long appointment (over an 1 hour) as it was complex in presentation. A follow-up was booked by you with staff, to administer the second dosage of the medication a week later. We can assure you the follow-up appointment was necessary due to the efficacy of the treatment which required two dosages.
Our policy indicates that we reschedule late appointments after 15 minute delay. We contact clients at 10 minutes past their appointment times and if unable to arrive within an appropriate window the policy is placed into effect. Expérience négative: I have been going to staples for many years and many pets. Since I moved to London over 25 years now. Unfortunately, my current experience was very disappointing. I had a 2 pm appointment. I arrived early, as I always do. Unfortunately, for some reason, I was left sitting in the waiting room well past my appointment while others with 2 pm appointments were being taken care of as soon as they walked in. Needless to say, I left. It's well after 3pm and yet no call to see If I'm outside. I did originally say I would wait outside and was told that was not a problem. Very disappointed
Expérience fantastique: Dr Lilia Wang is so good with my kitty and I can tell she truly cares about her patients and her clients. She gave us clear and understandable explainations about our kitty and our options for him and listened to all our concerns. The prices are very reasonable, and I am very happy with their service. Expérience fantastique: Best vet in town. Best prices. Most compassion. At least that was my experience taking my felines there. Online vet quality food ordering as well, so convenient as well.
Expérience négative: Just left staples for another vet because they never call you back. They never ever pick up the phone and you can leave message after message, they don't call back. We needed an important food for a feeding tube (we were running out) and our dog had jaw surgery so couldn't eat normal food. We left multiple messages with zero call back for days FINALLY they called back and said they will order it and call us when it is in. That was 3 months ago and still no call. Good thing we went to another vet in the meantime and got the food the same day. Will never go back
Expérience fantastique: Everyone at Staples is so incredibly nice and accommodating. Our cat has had some recent health challenges and the staff at Staples (specifically the Admin workers at the front desk, the Manager Chantelle and Dr Lilia Wang who is our vet dr) have gone above and beyond to make sure that we have gotten urgent care and to make us feel respected and our money valuable. They're gentle towards our cat, informative and take the time to explain everything going on, and offer easy ways to follow up on the ongoing care that will be needed for our cat. I am SO impressed (especially after having had a lesser experience elsewhere) and HIGHLY recommend Staples.

We are sorry to hear of the passing of your companion. As pet owners, we empathize with the grief of a loss of a beloved friend. We understand how critical some situations may be and this is why we refer pet owners to contact Smart.Vet for triage or the London Regional Emergency Hospital directly as we are not an emergency centre. We do not have an emergency number for our clinic, though we do have an extension for current clients to use if their pet is actively receiving treatment within our practice.
Every day we open urgent care appointments, unfortunately these spots are often filled within the first half hour of opening. While we would like to extend more services to non-clients such as yourself, this is not feasible for our practice at this time. Clinics across the region are experiencing higher than normal volumes for emergency care as a result of reduced hours from the local emergency hospital.
While we strive to respond to all emails within a short time frame, this is not always possible given the unpredictability of cases seen in a veterinary clinic. We apologize that your email was not responded to until later in the day and we have discussed as a team how we can improve in this area.

Expérience négative: This clinic has great vet's but it is way too busy for my liking. I've had to wait long times WITH an appointment which I was not impressed with. On top of that, a few years ago my Westie was diagnosed with Pyometra (a life threatening condition) at the Emergency Vet and due to the price the surgery would cost at the emergency clinic, we were told to call our vet which at the time was Staples. I called Staples crying and they said they couldn't help us on the Friday and to wait for the next week - my dog didn't have that kind time to wait. Fortunately I found another Vet who saved my dogs life. I stopped going to Staples since that incident... my dog is alive and well but no thanks to Staples!!

Expérience fantastique: This place is by far the best balance of being a great help, and price (value). Staff is friendly, vets give you the options and don't just run up the bill. I've been going here for 20 yrs and all my pets have been treated very well.
Expérience positive: The staff was very friendly however I wasn't able to enter the clinic and be with my pet which I would prefer especially since I have a puppy getting first shots. I did appreciate the precautions they were taking to keep the space safe but I feel we are past not allowing people into the clinic.
Expérience positive: I've had quite a few experiences at Staples Animal Hospital. Mostly quite good but there can sometimes be quite a wait to get in for certain procedures. I had to have my dog put down after battling some really extensive tumors. They made the whole experience really comforting and helpful. The services are generally pretty reasonably priced in comparison to other very offices. Would recommend for other pet owners in the area.

Expérience fantastique: Unfortunately my wee little girl was critical when I rushed her in Sept 23. They were so gentle with her, treated her as lovingly as if she were their own. I was devastated beyond words. the vet was incredibly kind and caring with me and still continued to check on and report back with updates on my baby. Ella did not make it and everyone was very compassionate and patient allowing me all the time I needed to say my goodbyes. If I get another pet I will def continue to stay with Staples. It's never easy losing a pet and having a vet who shows they care, not only about these wonderful pets but their owners as well, means so much. Expérience positive: staples used to be really amazing. my family have been taking our pets here for nearly 30 years. after dr. staples retired I think the new ownership took on far too many clients. the staff and vets are amazing but they are simply too busy for the amount of clients they have. it is virtually impossible to get through over the phone, and heaven forbid you miss one of their calls you won't hear back for days. which doesn't bode well when they have one of your pets for an appointment and they wanted to ask you questions..? I don't blame anyone that works there personally but I think they are simply too busy. please for the love of the gods hire a receptionist or 2 that *just* handles the phones and the desk and *nothing else* with phones ringing off the hook all day not even a new switchboard can save you.

We loved staples and how they treated our dog, was always happy but with a change of ownership it came crashing down. Scamming people selling overpriced and low weighted food, and the blatantly obvious lack of care for their clients. If you want to go to a place, where the well being of your pet isnt top priority, go to staples. The old owner would be ashamed

Just last week we had to put another fur baby to sleep. Our beloved Buster.Dr V and her team did everything,especially communicate with zero judgment. Expérience négative: Since handing over of the clinic to Dr. Viera they have completely modernized their clinic, compromised their level of care, and have become focused on the upsell of unnecessary treatments. Vaccinations? Sure. Care for your animal in need of treatment? I wasn't pleased. We have moved on to another clinic that made actual care for our animals their priority.
