Each member of the team took the time to get to know us as owners and more importantly our precious boy as the special breed that he is --pure Belgian Malenois. Expérience fantastique: We took our young rescued feral cat to Firth Veterinary Hospital because she’s been struggling with a respiratory infection for a couple of months. We were VERY impressed with the attention to detail the staff displayed, and Dr. Firth has put us on a course we think / hope will rectify this problem that seems to have stymied our previous Vet. Hoping to have a happy healthy kitten again in the very near future!! Thank you Dr. Firth and Staff!!!

You know they care when the vet spends the first 10 mins of the appt getting to know your animal, making them comfortable and easing them into each step. (Yes the vet told my cat everything he was about to check before he did it) Every step of the way, they have cared more about the care of the animal than $. They know the cost of everything, so before a test is run, they explain why, and the cost. They give you options, let’s try this or this. You feel safe bringing your animals to them you know they love them as much as you do. I would highly recommend firth to any and every animal parent

Expérience positive: The place seems nice and the ladies who greeted us and checked our pet out were fine. Dr Firth was fine. He is older and vibrant and his knowledge is terrific. But… before the vet came in, .the visit was like being signed up for a TimeShare or high pressure life insurance. There was a high pressure sales woman who came in. She is really poor at her job. She was really loud and forceful and told us all about the thousands of dollars it was going to cost us unless we paid ….thousands of dollars for a care plan. We have seen and met lots of sales people in our time and this was one of the worst sales presentations ever. It was offensive. I’m not going to lie. All the staff carry microphones and talk to each other about how to “sell” you more things. We surmised they are using software and putting in notes about us that they all read. The care in the end was fine. But I don’t think that high pressure sales is a good idea. Frankly, the plan might even be a good idea. But the way it was done was so intense and loud and offensive. Even the other employee lady who sat in the room with us was rolling her eyes at the “sales person” If I was this clinic I would stop the high pressure sales tactics. Focus on care and value and it will sell itself. Whoever went to a seminar on how to maximize each customer should be corrected. The way to maximize customer revenue is to provide great unrivalled service . The rest follows.

Expérience fantastique: I had a great experience when i attended my first intake appointment with my kitty, the staff are passionate and caring towards the animals and owners. This is a team of professional and competent people who know what to do with our pets when we don’t have all the answers. Thank you Dr. Firth for fostering such a peaceful and wholesome environment for your staff to not only be themselves but to care for the animals that come into the clinic everyday. Expérience fantastique: I’ve got to say, this place rocks! Staff is extremely friendly and kind, they really took the time to go over every detail. Got my boy checked in, and looked after for his booster shots, stool/blood samples with results on the spot, trimmed his nails and really did a great job! Dr Firth was incredibly helpful and was full of information about my specific breed, took the time to explain everything and was extra careful while administering his shots. I’d give them a 10 Star if I could!

Expérience fantastique: Switched vets because of all the great things I had heard about Firth and was not disappointed. Its absolutely clear this business is a labour of love. The atmosphere, the level of care and the handling of my pets was top notch from start to finish. Such a huge step up from my experiences with other vets in the past. They even record and send a video of everything the vet has told you so that you can rewatch and dont have to remember all the information they tell you.

Expérience fantastique: Firth Veterinary Hospital has been an absolute blessing for Nova. They fit us in on incredibly short notice for an emergency surgery, and thanks to a friend’s recommendation, we avoided a stressful trip to Toronto and saved thousands compared to other quotes. From the moment we walked in, every single staff member treated Nova like their own. Their kindness, attentiveness, and the constant communication — even sending videos — gave us so much comfort during a really scary time. Dr. Ian performed her surgery with such care and precision, and Dr. Love has supported her recovery with genuine compassion. We couldn’t be more grateful to have found this team. Truly outstanding care.

Expérience négative: This vet overdosed and almost killed our pup. Fancy systems but don’t let tutors in, claims decades of experience but overdosed our dog who didn’t even need antibiotics in the first place. When I say overdose, I mean giving our 20lbs sweetheart a dose of Doxycycline that only a large should take. The next vet who helped us save our dog was shocked when they saw the dosage our dog was given. Firth is a great example of all flash, little substance. Mistakes happen to every professional, but this one was just too basic of an error for such claims of experience.

Expérience fantastique: Took my sweet boy in today for routine check and ended up having to go back a few hours later when my baby started to vomit for no obvious reason. Team Boopsie was amazing and Dr Firth was as lovely as ever. They were so caring and concerned about his sudden change and got him in immediately and ran tests. Highly recommend this vet clinic. Small, yet efficient, private owned clinic, one of the last few of its kind. Dr Firth was our farm vet in the Late 70s and 80s, and is just as wonderful today as he's always been. I can't say enough about how great this clinic is. All the staff is really top tier and you can just tell how much they all love their patients.

Expérience fantastique: i don't entirely understand those who rated 1 star. this place in my experience is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. my boyfriends cat came here uncertain of her condition due to rapid weight gain and other sickness symptoms that we assumed was pregnancy but turned out to be one of the WORST pyometra cases they said they've EVER SEEN. the people were very welcoming, understanding and compassionate and communicated frequently with my boyfriend through sending pictures, messages and videos regarding the updates on her care. dr firth expertly analyzed izzy with great care and established a stable, friendly environment during a moment of serious stress for izzy and ourselves. when we went across the street to grab food as they were figuring out what she was experiencing, they messaged us an update on her condition in record time, informing us that izzy needed to return because of how serious her condition was. within the next day she was under anesthesia. i genuinely couldn't recommend this place enough to anyone looking for a vet that isn't about the money first and care after. though the price is a bit high for low income folks like us, the care received makes it worth it. they even helped us lower the cost by 800$ because of being on disability. keep up the good work firth veterinary, will keep in touch! <3

Expérience fantastique: I brought my cat to them because she wasn't acting like herself it turned out she had a really bad infection and needed surgery i have really bad anxiety and a condition called PNES that causes me to have stress induced seizures. The staff here are very nice not only did they take care of my baby but they also took time to help me and accommodated my needs as well I'm very happy with how nice and supportive they we're and my baby is now recovering nicely thank you so much of everything you guys have done I will remember your kindness, patience and care and will continue to bring her here

Our cat's first doctor appointment was a dream experience. It's clear that everyone here genuinely cares about the animals and the owners. He can be a bit reactive around people but the staff is so kind and welcoming that he was immediately best friends with everyone. Expérience fantastique: This is hands down the best vet not only in London but in the area. We live next to a different vet and we rather drive the 40 min drive to see Dr. Firth and his team. They are extremely dedicated, kind beautiful people. The prices are definitely lower that their competitors and they have a 1$ first visit. Why? Bc they know that once you meet them you can’t go anywhere else They send you a link after the visit explaining everything (he will even go explaining everything on a blood test and what does it mean) and a summary. Great if you get overwhelmed or your pets other parent isn’t there. You can tell they aren’t after your money since they will recommend the cheaper option first to see if it works. They have also a text service where you can text any questions or concerns and they are fairly quick to answer. You can provide pictures of anything that concerns you or videos, so much easier than explaining what it’s wrong! I also highly recommend their monthly plan, the peace of mind that you get when you know that ANYTHING that’s off with your vet you can go and get it checked out is crazy. We signed up a month ago and we already used the equivalent of 4 months worth. Honestly, you should be coming to this vet and their amazing team: Terra, Melanie, Katelyn, Shannon, Megan, Rachel, Di, Sophia and all the ones we haven’t met yet!

Expérience positive: In the beginning, Firth Veterinary Hospital made me and my pet feel like VIP clients. Their wellness plan was decent and affordable, and I really appreciated the way they cared for us at first. Unfortunately, once the plan ended, the prices went up. On top of that, their service has really gone downhill. It’s almost impossible to get them on the phone . It feels like they’re more focused on money now than on the actual well-being of the pets they’re supposed to be helping. Really disappointing to see how much they’ve fallen apart compared to how they started.

Expérience négative: If I could give minus 10 stars ,I would give it to this clinic. The first time you go with your pet they treat you like a new customer , open arms Then they offer a kind of insurence , what is really a catch.The insurance can not be cancelled even if your pet is not a patient with them anymore. They have too many employees , with no much knowledge .They look more like sales marketing .. The price for surgery is 3 times higher than any other clinic Because of that , I give this clinic a big minus 10 I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY

She explains everything clearly and simply but with lots of detail. I felt a level of comfort and trust that I don't think I've ever experienced before at a vet. I'm so glad I found them because my Felix means the world to me and I only want the best for him and I think I've found it!

Expérience fantastique: The most outstanding vet services we’ve EVER experienced! For one, they are incredibly warm, welcoming and a caring group of professionals. They work in groups and refer to themselves as teams! #TEAMPATCHES ❤️ As soon as we sat down, we noticed on the screen -New Patient today (our sweet patches). We brought in our kitty with suspicions of UTI/ Crystals. They worked with her phenomenally, being patient and loving, and even took pictures for her profile, and updated me via. Text, during her physical exam. For two, they have exceptional electronic service I haven’t seen elsewhere. Not only the update photos and texts, they also send a physical video (loom) to keep that does not expire, with the diagnosis and additional information straight from the doctor, (Dr. Love, who is very knowledgeable and very thorough). Afterwards, receiving a full appointment summary through PDF and a printed off version! I have never felt more at ease with veterinary care than visiting Firth. They are far ahead of your typical clinic and I will be recommending them for the incredible benefits and love and care we received! We will now be a part of their clinic. Thank you all so much again!

Expérience fantastique: Dr. Firth is easily the most knowledgeable and compassionate vet I’ve ever seen. He’s taken care of a few of my cats now and even supported me personally through saying goodbye to my best friend and emotional support animal after a valiant battle with an aggressive cancer. Through all the fear, grief, and uncertainty, he and his wonderfully attentive, very personable staff somehow made me feel confident in the decisions we made together for my sweet girl. I will always think of Dr. Firth’s kind, patient demeanour as a bright light on a very dim, very difficult day. He saw me in crisis and immediately put me at ease. I couldn’t be more grateful for the exemplary care my critters and I have received at Firth. I do wish the office were more accessible - I am disabled and sometimes use a walker - but the staff are always so quick to help me up the stairs and have offered other options for communicating with the vet to accommodate my needs, which is very much appreciated! Bring your animals here and you won’t regret it. Dr. Firth and his staff are talented, truly decent people.

Expérience fantastique: Our cat Heidi has been with Firth ever since we adopted her, and she is in such good hands. The are kind and professional and always extra helpful. I recommend their health plans, it's a great savings and it can help catch things early, which is best for your pet. We definitely use our entire plan every year, very worth it. They were very empathetic and made putting down our cat a much less traumatic experience. Very warm and welcoming. Since then, our household has adopted a new feline family member. Firth Vet clinic has been amazing with their care for her, especially during the pandemic. I trust Firth with the very life of my cat Heidi. They are so compassionate.

Expérience négative: Week of Aug. 3rd I began to have concerns about my 15 yr old Yorkie. Issues with his Trachea, on meds, I noticed signs of discomfort, more coughing, couldn't catch his breath, fainted twice but by hitting his chest he got his breath back. My Vet was booked so I called Firth Hospital, got in Aug 8. I told them everything about my Yorkie. What I got was numerous useless tests Vet said needed to be done, 2 extra medications, (not needed, didn't help) took required urine sample in Saturday am.? sold me health care contract for a year, had a recall appt for Mon. 11 @12:30. Unfortunately, his and my distress continued to get worse Saturday, by Sunday the 10th, his breathing was quite labored, wouldn't lie down, sat upright only, couldn't keep still, by 2 am in the early hours of Monday 11, I called Southwest Animal Hospital in London. When the very kind Vet looked at my Yorkie, examined him his tongue was starting to turn blue. I'm so very, very sad to say my beautiful little Yorkie is no longer with me!!!

My husband and I have been bringing our dogs, #TeamRegal and #TeamJackson, to Firth Veterinary Hospital for over a decade. What stands out most to me is how friendly, honest, and knowledgeable Dr. Firth and his team are. I’ve always felt like my pets are in the best hands. Dr. Firth truly knows his stuff, and you can tell he cares. Right now, our dog Regal is doing laser therapy for arthritis at the clinic, and we’re already seeing a huge improvement in his pain and mobility. They “dumbed” things down for my fiance and I and explained everything. They didn’t treat us dumb but made it VERY easy to understand and they helped guide us to make the right decision for our furry member. I called them and they were very understanding, demonstrating true kindness and patience in my emotional state. Rachel A and Nicole were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately we are unable to fund this option. Koko's team reached to offer us the "$1 new patient visit". Walking in our waiting area, bright and clean, with everyone being attentive and making us feel more comfortable. The team was amazing with their care and attention to Koko. They are a caring knowledgeable group of professionals. Special shout out to Rachel who answered our call for an appointment. Medical records from previous vets were proving difficult to obtain. Rachel was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help us. We have been taking our dogs to Peter Firth and his exemplary team for over 30 years and have never been disappointed. THIS is how you treat people if you want to be successful. Thanks so much Firth! I just had to put down my dog Kaine, and I couldn't be more heart broken or more grateful. Firth was absolutely amazing, Ravayah (im probably spelling that wrong) was with us every step and kept doing little things for us and Kaine that was entirely above and beyond. For such a horrible experience, they definitely made it as smooth as possible. My boy was obviously struggling and they treated him gently and with respect. Also, in a time where so many things are so expensive, this was the best price we could find for euthanasia and cremation. In a time where money cant be a thought, they make it so much easier. Beautiful clinic filled with beautiful people. Thank you guys!

Expérience fantastique: I found an 8 week old kitten in my backyard I brought her to Firth, I was able to be seen within a couple hours of calling them & since I was a new client my visit was $1 + vaccines I had to get for Cleo. The staff were so friendly & knowledgeable. Dr Love was so gentle while assessing Cleo she even started purring! I had a great experience & will definitely to other pet parents

Expérience fantastique: By far the best vet hospital I’ve been to. They are super gentle with your pet. Very informative when they are explaining things and answer questions. I had to bring my cat in for an injury to her tail and they were amazing with her. She doesn’t like leaving home and they were calm and gentle with her to help her adjust while they looked at her. Definitely recommend if you need somewhere to take your fur babies. Will absolutely be back if I can’t get into my regular vet. Also exam room was clean!!

In our most devastating and sad time of facing the news we had to put our beloved cat, Eleanor to sleep the team provided us with the utmost support, love and care. Everything from walking us through the process, to empathizing as if it was their own pet to the sheer amount of love we felt. The extra attention and love you gave Eleanor in her final moments will never be forgotten. A simple heart sticker on her bandage means more to us than you will never know. Thank you to the entire team and special shout out to Terra and Dr. Love who comforted us, guided us and made the most heartbreaking experience a little bit easier. We cannot thank you enough for helping us through this difficult time. You truly are amazing people who care and love with your whole heart. Thank you so much.

Expérience fantastique: From Team Dubu We tried a lot of vets in the London area, and Firth Veterinary Hospital was the only hospital that really treated our Dubu like he was a member of our family. Our cat was really sick, and every hospital in London seemed to just either treat him like an inconvenience or their next pay cheque. Firth was the only hospital that really talked us through the type of care Dubu needed, treated him with respect and dignity as if he was a person, and also talked us through a treatment plan that would fit our budget, and the pros/cons of what we could afford. Even to this day they check up on him on their own time, and follow up with a genuine care that I rarely see exhibited. It's nice to see doctors who seem like they actually care first, with the money being a secondary effect. Would highly recommend anyone to visit Firth!

My only regret was not coming here sooner, i would’ve saved so much headache and not to mention the money i spent at a couple different locations that couldn't give us any answers. Expérience négative: This place feels very robotic. I had high hopes but I have to say that I am disappointed in Firth Veterinary. To keep this review short I feel that processes that would have made sense to deliver care during COVID, which is now over half a decade ago, are still being used and has dehumanized their practice. I would never have brought my 3 dogs here had I known that they expected me to drop them off and pick them up after their appointments when they are sick and injured. At every appointment I had to let them know that I would be staying with my dogs since on top of being sick they would become anxious if I were to leave them. My breaking point was with the disorganization and quite frankly the lack of care for my time. With my 15 week old puppy needing shots and my other 9 year old dog who is injured, I showed up for my appointment at 4pm and walked out frustrated without having seen a vet around 5:15pm. Had this been the first time this had happened, I could have tolerated it but unfortunately it was not. I can only imagine what other pets go through at this hospital who do get left in the trust of the employees here. I would hate to think that they get left in rooms like we were for so long but alone. Therefore, after multiple experiences like this we will unfortunately no longer be coming back to Firth and I wanted to share this experience as I wish I would’ve have know about these dehumanized procedures before picking this vet in the first place. Dr. Firth himself is a wonderful old school vet who was great with my dogs but I felt that I had to jump through far too many hoops to reach him. In the end, take your valuable time, money and pets to other animal hospitals who will prioritize you.

Expérience fantastique: The staff was very kind and down to earth . They make you feel very comfortable while providing a very organized professional environment, which included cozy touches . Each and every person seemed invested in their job and truly enjoyed what they were doing . The vet themselves was very warm, thorough and was really invested amd engaged in what I was saying and answering questions . You can tell they genuinely care about animals. Expérience fantastique: If there were more stars, they’d get those too! Our experience at Firth was amazing. Both me and my pup were treated like family right from the first phone call. The team was kind, professional and thorough. Nothing was a surprise, everything was well explained, all questions were answered fully and I felt safe and comfortable leaving my pup in their care - they even sent text updates which is so handy and nice. With our pups diagnosis we will be regular visitors - they helped me set up a health plan and loyalty plan to best help with the costs and laid out all info and costs for upcoming visits upfront so that nothing comes as a shock. I can’t say enough about each and every person who helped with our visit today. We felt right at home. I won’t be taking our pup or future pets anywhere else but here. Thank you thank you thank you.

Expérience fantastique: I had been going to Dr. Firth for over 6 yrs. The whole staff cares for every animal that comes through their door. Dr. Firth and the staff treated Sadie like she was there's. I am sad to say that Sadie passed away at the beautiful age of 14yrs old two months ago. At the end of her life the staff was so great. it was just Sadie and myself of yrs and miss her so much. I was very lucky to have such a great Veterinary Family to take of both there human customers as well as the small furry customer. Thank you to the whole Firth Veterinary Family.

Expérience fantastique: Today I brought my 11 yr old chihuahua to a new vererinarian. This vets office and staff completely blew my mind and absolutely went above and beyond my expectations. The atmosphere is so incredibly relaxing, long wait times were almost unnoticed because I was honestly "at home" there. The staff, all of them, so caring and so empathetic. I can't believe how wonderful this place and the ppl here are. You can really tell they love animals and live their jobs and it's not a money making joke for them. They offer these wonderful monthly packages as well which really helped to cut the costs and helped to have a bit of peace of mind if something comes up and I don't have the funding for certain things like bw ...it helps to have some coverage and I know we will stay here for many years to come! Expérience fantastique: Dr. Love was very concerned about our dog Baxter, considering how sick he was. She was very straight forward with us and told us exactly what she thought could be wrong and what should be done. She was quite open and honest with us. Danielle, the client ambassador, was with Dr. Love, worked very well together. When we left, we knew more than what we did when we arrived. Danielle texted me the following morning asking for an update on how Baxter was after we got home, and throughout the night, and to make sure he got his follow up meds that night. They are about the patient, not about numbers or about the money. They worked with us, and will continue to work with us until we get Baxter better. They helped us out so much in such a stressful time. My husband and I wished we found them first instead of last. We will stay with them as our primary vet. We love them so much.

The team gives great support via video reports, constant text support through the leg injury that requires surgery until our dog was through the early phases of recovery, and in person. From start to finish I was very impressed and pleased with the level of care and info that is given during the entire process. And, as always, they are more than accommodating towards the level of care you wish for your furry family member. The video I was sent regarding the initial visit was a touch of excellence. Needless to say, even though he walked in bearing two gifts - a number 1 and a number 2 - we had a blast getting to know all the staff and going through all the wonderful options the clinic has to offer. Wait time is minimal and offer a great deal of services that other vets do not. And their prices are extremely manageable with plans you can work with. Expérience fantastique: The Best vet experience we've ever had! It's a completely different concept than I've ever seen and it made a huge difference in my 12 yr old girl's behavior. Usually Abby is leary of the staff and super anxious, piles of her fur falling out. But today... Abby met Dr Firth! He spent about 20 minutes on her level getting to know her in a large room with furniture and low windows. No other dogs to contend with. There are treats and a bowl of water too. I truly appreciated the layout, the welcoming atmosphere, and the cozy vibe of the clinic. In contrast to other veterinary offices that felt more like sterile prison cells, this one made both my puppy and me feel completely comfortable and at ease. They far exceed any other veterinarian I’ve been to, and their expertise is outstanding. The prices are also very reasonable. Expérience fantastique: We brought our 14-month old cat to Firth this afternoon to discuss undesirable behaviors and had hoped that an examination would be possible as our previous vet was intimidated by his hissing and aggressive response. We attended a 1-hour meet & greet in a comfortable, spacious, living room type of space with a scale and exam table. We were introduced to Dr. Carlos Vega who is obviously a cat lover/expert/whisperer. While asking questions, he paid close attention to our cat's behavior and took small steps to establish trust but also asserted dominance as was needed. This expert approach allowed our cat to get a near-full exam so that Dr. Vega could confidentally assert that he was in good health. After listening to our experiences all the while continuing to stand his ground, Dr. Vega determined that our cat was not aggressive, but was definitely dominant. We were given specific guidance on how to re-establish a pack order in our household and reassured us that we would see results with consistency. Further, we talked about food that we might consider supplementing with that should have a calming effect. I write this much detail for those whose nerves are frayed and seeking an amazing veterinarian to deal with behavioral issues. Do yourself sanity a favor and come to Firth. The rest of the care team were amazing, caring, unafraid and I never felt pressured to buy anything. I left feeling a huge sense of relief that it would be possible to get some sleep knowing that we found Stewie Coconut's veterinarian snd happy to know that we have a Team Stewie.
