Expérience fantastique: Yesterday our 16 year old dog Bella took her final car ride. We actually made the trip from Kingston to London for the team at East Village to help assist Bella in making it over the rainbow bridge. I could never thank the ladies at the clinic enough for their compassion, care and patience with myself and my teenage daughter. They really pulled out all the stops for us, stayed with us, and didn’t rush us through the process. They squeezed us in for an emergency appointment after realizing how bad Bella had decompensated. The ladies even stayed past the 5pm closing. I will forever sing their praises. Bella isn’t the first dog we’ve had to put to sleep and by far this was the best experience during such a difficult time. If the ladies see this message truly thank you again from the bottom of my heart, you guys were well worth every penny and every mile of the drive.
Expérience fantastique: I brought in my dog and cat for their annual checkups and shots. The veterinarian took lots of time with my 2 pets and explained everything she was doing to me and my children who attended the visit. I found the fees to be reasonable, especially considering the high level of service I received.
Expérience fantastique: This clinic is wonderful. Please take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. There is always another side to the story. For instance, the one review about having to drive across town and how disrespectful everyone was? I was there in the lobby waiting for an appointment and that lady was treated very well. She was the disrespectful one. She tried to register a dog for surgery that wasn't even hers. EVAH isn't like a regular clinic. There are guidelines and a process to qualify as a client and if you don't want to follow the process then chances are, you don't qualify and you know it. This clinic is there to help the low income community recieve Veterinary care. Not to help people that made poor choices in their lives or as a way to get "cheap" care. EVAH has a purpose in our community and those of you who complain should be ashamed of yourselves. You want respect? You need to earn it. You want your pet seen? Follow the process. Keep up the incredible care you give every day, EVAH. Our community would be lost without you.

There are locations in other cities as well, and could use support from other caring individuals and businesses. They have my utmost respect and gratitude!
Expérience fantastique: amazing, caring and courteous staff. took my puppy in for a neuter and they just loved him up so much..he was super friendly and def comfortable hanging out for the day. the staff totally prepared me for aftercare if needed but Hank did awesome..no cone lol..minimal pain and no concerns at all...thankyou EVAH you guys are truelly the best!!
Expérience négative: Phone is rarely answered, voicemail often full and emails scarcely responded to in a timely manner. More staff or volunteers would be beneficial for the high volume of clientele. Vet has never given a physical examination, often a quick pat. They should be done with every visit otherwise why the fee?
Expérience fantastique: This wonderful team saved my 14 year old cat (Molly) with pyometra. I had taken her to a vet close to home for a suspected UTI, only to find out she had pyometra and was given a qoute of $2,265 to have the issue fixed, which was absolutely out of my range to spend. I was enlightened of EVAH, called Kitchener and Hamilton but my heart settled on London as the compassion and care I received over the phone was out of this world. Megan (may be spelled different) was absolutely phenomenal with working with my needs and accommodated surgery the next day. They are a hard working team, with tons of compassion and understanding. Molly is recovering well and is in great health for a 14 year old cat. I am so thankful for this team and their compassion and dedication to animals. My daughters get to spend more time with their best friend and I could not be more thankful for this outcome. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the EVAH London team and the surgeon who saved our best friend Editing to add: my original quote with EVAH was $871, they gave me that the night before as a quick rough estimate oh how much I was spending. When I dropped my furry beach ball off, they had redone the qoute, it was $611, when I picked her up, they refunded $10 because surgery didnt go as long as expected. I told them to keep the $10, put it to donation for an animal in need.

You can tell everyone here truly and genuinely care about helping animals, Dr. Martha was especially wonderful the very first time I brought my cat in a little over a year ago, and I’ve had nothing but good experiences since then. The vets are always thorough and take the time to explain tests, results, and they provide estimates for costs ahead of time which is really helpful so you can prepare financially. Thank you for helping me keep my boy happy and healthy and for making veterinary care more accessible

Expérience négative: I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service I received. I reached out because I was genuinely concerned for the welfare of my outdoor cat, who I suspected might have been injured by a BB gun. However, instead of getting help, I was denied an appointment. What happened next was shocking - just two days later, animal welfare officers showed up at my doorstep. It turned out that EVAH had reported me, and I'm now being accused of being a neglectful pet owner. It's unbelievable that I couldn't get assistance for my cat's potential injury, and instead, I'm being scrutinized. The lack of compassion and understanding is appalling.
Expérience négative: Awhile ago the reviews were all bad, no all of a sudden they're good? Horrible place! Very dirty, tables have dried blood, dirt etc. Not cleaned between patients. Dr. doesn't seem to have much knowledge or care for dogs.
Expérience fantastique: Had to bring our cat to the clinic yesterday for an emergency spay for a pyometra. Dr.Martha and her staff are exceptional humans who went above and beyond to provide compassionate care for our cat luci, my mom and I. I cannot recommend them more. Very knowledge, they made the experience smooth and comfortable for all of us involved. Thank you again to all the staff!
Expérience fantastique: Yesterday June 18th I brought my Dog Flash into EVAH she was in a major emergency situation. Her Uterus was not only ruptured but the infection was bad I had major payment issues on top of my fear and everything that came with emergency life saving surgery these woinderful people did more then just save my beautiful flash they restored my faith in the human race everything has changed since Covid more and more people take on the approach of not my problem but this vet hospital took care of my girl even with all the issues that caused major discomfort for everyone involved Thank you from everyone in my family for saving her we will never forget your kind and understanding love and support and every single one of you are angels I will never take any of my animals anywhere other then them now for vet care now a 30 min drive to get top care is time well spent

Expérience fantastique: Dr Martha will give you the honest truth about procedures that other veteranarians would needlessly recommend. She is a great doctor. The clinic is diligent about calling you to offer an earlier appointment when there's been a cancelation. They really care about your pet.
Expérience fantastique: They went above and beyond to help me out. It was such a refreshing change to deal with people who actually cared. I felt heard and understood throughout the entire process. Their kindness and support made a real difference. It's rare to find such genuine service these days.

Expérience négative: My cat’s euthanasia went horribly wrong and his death went on for 45 minutes. It is traumatizing. I give two stars because I know there are some dedicated staff who really care. They are a very busy clinic. But that made it difficult to get appointments when needed and made long wait times. I took different pets there over the years. There are a lot of tests and procedures that they cannot perform and have to refer elsewhere anyway. And their approach to care is not really preventative medicine. But I didn’t feel so much disdain for this place until my cat’s euthanasia was botched and he suffered.
Expérience négative: Do I have to put one star to submit this? Looks like it. I'm in an angry but sad shock. I couldn't believe my conversation Tuesday January 21st at 2:16pm. My German Shepherd needs immediate help and they said she can't come in. Your thinking there's two sides and your missing something. But NOPE !! They hung up on a correct citizen in an emergency situation. She needs fixed before she's allowed in, I said I'll pay for her to get fixed but NOPE. "Please don't come here, there's nothing we can do" quote. There a Hospital, am I missing something? ☎️ then the nice lady hung up. Anyone please help
Expérience négative: My dog is intact and needing care as he has not been able to urinate properly for 3 weeks. I am a single mother and student and have called and begged them to help me and they won’t see him because he is not neutered and cannot neuter him without him being healthy. I am paying hundreds of dollars in vet bills because the financial supports that they told me to seek out are waitlisted and cannot help with the vet bills that are accumulating from having to take him for emergency help to relieve his bladder and get X-rays to see what the problem is. This is an animal, a living thing that needs care, they are the only non profit vets in the city. They claim to provide support to low income families but that is a joke, they will only help you if you meet their specific criteria.
Expérience fantastique: Thank you EVAH for being able to come to Sudbury, you guys are true blessings! I had my rough colie KJ spayed with the mobile clinic on the last visit in June. KJ is very Leary of people and she lets that be known! Thanks to Kim for taking the time out with her, she warmed up to Kim quickly and never does with anyone else. Dr Martha, amazing woman! I was able to get my 3 cats in for immunizations as well during that visit. I'm looking forward to seeing the EVAH team in October for 2 of my cats spays. Expérience négative: This clinic has been slipping in regards to their spay and neuter program for Feral and barn cats. I have been calling every week for over the last 2 months to get in a bunch of barn cats and it is always the same response "All booked up .... Before Covid there was never an issue to get in these feral cats and now it is next to impossible. What has changed?
Expérience fantastique: if i could give a higher rating i would! they have always been so nice and accommodating to my me and my pup. The doctor (Dr. Harding) is soooooo nice and caring and i always feel heard when discussing my dog’s health with her. i always arrive a little nervous as i half expect worse news, but they always ease my nerves once i arrive! so grateful!

Expérience négative: **PLEASE READ IN FULL** **WOULD NOT RECOMMEND** We are past clients of this establishment. I put my puppy down for a nap in his locked crate today, and when he woke up he was extremely wobbly and couldn't hold up his own weight. With him being 12 weeks old and us only getting him this past Tuesday, I got my wife and my little guy in the truck in a rush and drove as fast as I could to get him there. *Note* He IS up to date on ALL of his shots and vaccines. We walk in, soon after my wife pleaded for help while crying. The lady behind the counter looked at us like we were lower than her, thats when they removed us from the clinic. After about 10-15 minutes of us waiting in the parking lot with our baby, a woman came out and started explaining that the only way they would be able to look at our puppy is if we had our tax refund information ON US. Because yes, we all walk around with those papers in our pockets. I will admit I was short with her, and not in the nicest tone, but you'd think they would understand and have some compassion that this puppy means the world to us already. She then repeated to us that they couldn't do anything unless we had our tax info on us. So I got my wife in the truck and took my baby to another vets office, the next vets office took him in without even asking if we had papers on him, or his vaccines, they showed true compassion towards our situation. Took my little guy directly to the back and put him on IV, then ran blood work, administered medication, and talked to us about what was happening. Don't call yourself an "Animal Hospital" if you aren't going to help the animals. I'd have to say, saving some money by going to this "animal hospital" is not at all worth it in the slightest. I cannot believe the audacity and attitude they had towards someone with a sick 12 week old puppy in their arms balling and begging for someone to help. I'd avoid this establishment at all costs. You should be ashamed EVAH. And I hope you've taken us off of your client list, as per my request. Our baby will be okay, but if it weren't for my prompt thinking and actions on getting him somewhere that cared, we could have lost him in our arms, at 12 weeks old. I'd hate to see a hospital refuse your sick family members help in the future.. karma works in mysterious ways.

Expérience négative: Do not like the service of the place. Because I called to get my dog's Baden noodle and they told me. I had to go online and register which I did not matter about that at all. Next I get an email. Tell me there's a $50 deposit which I was not informed in the beginning which to me. Is poor work ethics of not passing information off to the person when the person asks for all the information? What do I do and a wet? You go online and you register online for the day. So in my eyes, the company is not a good reliable company. Because they do not inform all the information to the customer. They just told me to go to the website without saying nothing about a $50 deposit. Then when I confronted them about it, they canceled my appointment because they said I was not being mean. I was just asking them why they didn't tell me that in the beginning.

When I arrived, Danielle at the front desk immediately got me in to see the doctors with my dog Velvet, who I was ready to euthanize due to what I was told was kidney failure by another vet two weeks prior. However, Dr. Kayla and Dr. Martha quickly reassured me that after their examination that they thought Velvet didn't look like she had kidney failure but pancreatitis instead. They conducted blood tests right away, giving us hope the assistant Victoria gave fluids and medicines to Velvet .Unfortunately, the disease had progressed too far, and we lost our beloved Velvet. The staff showed immense compassion, letting us say our goodbyes in a private room. They are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and caring, ensuring the highest standard of care for all pets. Expérience négative: Honestly the worst vet clinic I've ever dealt with! Staff is super rude and condescending. They don't give all the information up front. We took a cat there in 2016 for their TNR program and asked to purchase a cone since he was recovering inside, they refused and he ended up blowing his stitches and had to be rushed back for emergency surgery which was another $400 because they don't guarantee the incision without use of a cone. Fast forward to now we had neuter set up for our dog last month and they canceled and rescheduled for a month later, we're 3 days from that neuter and they "lost" all the paper, tried to go through it all with them, slightly annoyed but not rude and get told I "need to calm down". And then they decide that they need to talk to their manager on the day of surgery so screw it canceled and done with them. Given numerous chances and they've blown every single one. If you love your pet don't take them here as they are extremely irresponsible and heartless with their lives..

Expérience positive: They were very helpful and good price for low income. My cat wasn’t eating a day after her spay, I called them and the First Lady I spoke to was very nice and told me to bring her in to get checked. I called a couple hours later to let them know she had started eating again and wasn’t sure if I should bring her or not still and the lady wasn’t very helpful and didn’t sound very nice, seemed kind of rude or annoyed with me which was upsetting. Don’t think it was the same lady I spoke to initially. But other than that this place is great, 3 of my other cats came here for a cat package and are doing great.

Expérience fantastique: They spayed my cat the next day after i called them and gave us meds for free when we lost the initial meds they gave us.
Expérience négative: Extremely unprofessional staff. My friend took her tiny female cat in to be spayed, and for a clinic that deals with feral cats you think they would have some knowledge on cats period, and know that not all cats are super friendly and excited to engage with strangers, especialyl when theyre already stressed out. So the tech stuck her hands in the carrier and got "bit pretty good" was all the vet would say, they wouldn't elaborate anymore, just stated that the person had left to go and get rabies shots - meanwhile leaving this poor little kitty locked in her carrier scared and upset, and un cared for - refusing to complete the service she paid for, they call my friend and tell her that her cat is too aggresive and to come and pick her up. They arrive at the clinic to find the cat in the carrier, visibly upset and stuck in there with her own feces. And they refused to give her a refund on her debit card - which was how she paid. They'd only give her cash back. I wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone.

Expérience fantastique: Excellent prices if you qualify for low-income services. The low price does not reflect the service; every one here was so helpful and understanding when I brought my two cats for the cat package (spay, chip, and vaccinations). There were complications with both of my cat's procedures and they were great at explaining my options, the cost of the options, and providing direction on the best course of action. Even routine procedures are stressful, especially when things don't go as planned, and I found the staff very understanding of my anxiety and my cats' needs.

They prefer causing harm to animals, labeling it as "population control" and prioritizing sterilization knowing full well this process eventually leads to death in young sterile animals. God only know if they even do it right. This place turns away cats who need help. Sure they've got a hold on the population... giving them a surgery that causes bladder problems that lead to fatalities... but now they're trying to control the house pet population by turning away registered animals who require immediate medical attention. Can't help my house cat because too many people are bringing in wild animals....leave them the f$#& alone and do your job. Excuse me for believe animals deserve better.

Expérience fantastique: Both my male cats who are 8 months old just recently got neutered here. I find this vet awesome to go too. They are reasonably priced and affectionate towards your animal! I highly recommend this place! Mario and Luigi are doing terrific!

Expérience fantastique: Evah is a fantastic vet! They've been treating my animals for years now and never disappoint. The staff is friendly and always goes above and beyond in care, just this month I had to take my 21Yr old cat in due to his arthritis and nerve pain, wasn't sure if we'd be getting bad news or much more time with him but Dr.Martha and the staff worked their magic and thanks to his new medication he's been a spry and happy guy! Thanks for all you do as always
Expérience négative: Worst service ever,went to head office and said how there staff are being very disrespect and rude and I did nothing but brought it up and they banned me and then I had to get someone to pick up anything for my dog. The owner even knows how disrespect there staff is and all they had to say was I know and they don't care to do anything about it. I said how pathetic this is and how horrible they have treated me and my dog and now I have got a letter in the mail saying I'm permanently banned and need to find a new vet. If I could give negative stars I would Worst place to go to never take your animals here unless they get a new owner and staff.

Expérience fantastique: This is a great resource and service to the community. Although some programs have been on put on hold, the spay and nuture program is the best thing going in the whole London Middlesex area.
Expérience positive: Recently I had my puppy fixed here. Unfortunately they don't offer their packages deals anymore. The packages used to include having your pet fixed ,shots,and microchipped at much cheaper price than adding up the individual price for each service . I can understand that costs have gone up. The cost this time was almost 300% higher than I paid 5 years ago to have a pet fixed with shots and microchipped .

Expérience négative: I've been calling for an appointment to get my dog in and neutered for months and months now and EVERY time I call I get told that they're booked for the next "2 months ahead" and that "the new schedule comes out at the end of the month" and to "call back then". When I do that, I'm given the exact same speech all over again. This has occurred on MORE than 3 separate occasions since I got my dog in April 2021 and NOW when I call the office, I get "the person you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time". THIS IS NOT HELPFUL!
Expérience fantastique: Dr. Sarah Murdoch is amazing! She took her time to explain to me what was going on with my cat, Xena, and was transparent about fees associated with her visit. Xena is feeling SO much better and we are so grateful. Staff are kind and cordial and ensure a comfortable visit for both patients and their owners.

But the fees are most reasonable Im not a client my son is His kitty needs help and the soonest he can get is Aug .... so off we go to borrow money so maybe kitty will survive. He would have felt way better with his vet, as thats how he is. So now i have to go and see if maybe I can borrow 500 bucks cuz i think that will be the case. Love this place dont get me wrong. Just sad theyre so fully booked . With more funding and veterinarians wanting to help maybe this can change. Im going to try doing something positivefor the people like this who give selflessly , they sure could use the help.

Expérience positive: I love taking Mabel to EVAH. The staff are very friendly. You can tell that they genuinely care about the animals. For serious matters they will fit your animal in right away. The only thing that is a little bit frustrating is often times their voicemail box is full and it’s hard to get through to speak to staff sometimes.

Expérience négative: I have Waited over a month for my animals medication. When I phoned to find out what was going on- I was met with sassy remarks and they did not take responsibility for Their own mistake. I’ve called multiple times while waiting and have had no results. I was told “it must have fallen”. My cat has seizures and has been in distress without his medication. Their own negligence has caused my animals immense distress. And they took my money for the medications! I have had to pay for substitutes while waiting for his medication. Finally got a refill - even tho they tried to hide this fact… when I asked to speak to the manager I was told to call back at 2:30. When I phoned - manager is unavailable if course

Expérience négative: Rude receptionists, never answer emails and mistakes are made constantly with medication pickups. Customer service is poor because they’re subsidized and know they can get away with anything they want. They do not put your animal first, would not recommend.

Expérience fantastique: EVAH has always been a very pleasant place to go to even at the most hardest time, the picture I added was the last day I had with my dog. He was the best dog ever and EVAH made it such a memorable experience. Even with COVID going on they allowed us to have every last second with our favourite boy in a very private place, on the side of the building. It was all perfect. Thank you so much EVAH!

Expérience fantastique: Christmas is a crazy time of year, but Santa came early in the form of EVAH employees and their endless generosity. They made everything much less stressful. Not only did they quickly accommodate my sweet, sick kitty, but they made us both feel comfortable and at ease. Everyone at EVAH was kind and clear. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and skilled. They always made me feel informed, explaining everything in detail while maintaining the importance of my animal over money. They worked with me to make an easy payment plan as I am disabled and unable to afford full costs. It was an extremely affordable visit and surgery considering the soul they saved, which is utterly priceless to me. They even contacted us the next day to make sure my kitty recovered well. We've never been better. Thank you to all the beautiful hearts at EVAH that work so diligently to provide such sincere care for our animal babies. May your holiday wishes come true as you continue to save the furry family members of our community!
Expérience négative: I got my male cat neutered here and they trimmed his nails so short that they don't even extend when I press on the pads of his paws. They failed to inform me they'd be touching his nails at all. Also no instruction given about how to take care of my cat after the surgery, when I asked if there was anything I needed to know, I was told "not really," and sent on my way.
