Everyone was friendly, informative, and made us feel really comfortable through the whole process including the follow up. The sweetest part was hearing how cuddly she is and that's because they were spending time actually cuddling her after her procedure. You can tell they truly love the animals they care for. Expérience fantastique: I’m very happy with our visit at Beaties Animal Hospital ,the vet was a new one she was very nice very thorough asking questions and giving suggestions been going to be for many years since I was 7, 46 years on and off. Our most recent visit Aug. 31st,2024 it took a little longer to see the vet finding out she was the only vet that day so the wait was understandable and she was very apologetic and once again very thorough during our checkup ,keep up the awesome work.

Expérience négative: Young female vet (Dr.Youstina) seemed knowledgeable, BUT she failed to follow up (phone call) on test results with us twice, and did not even leave notes in the test results, so other vet could not even tell us what this female vet’s treatment plan was for our cat. We had requested her to do blood tests along with other tests altogether so it’s all done on a same day and figure out what the exact problems our cat is dealing with and any meds could be helpful. But she was not good at making decisions, and kept delaying what we could do for our cat because of that and her negligence of following up with us. it frustrated us big time, and our cat’s condition worsened meanwhile. Other vet actually prescribed a medication quickly when we called, but he was not able to provide test results and further treatment plan because there was no note from her. I will not request this female vet to see my pets in the future. Other than that, we appreciate vet techs and receptionists there.

Expérience fantastique: I won’t go anywhere else! I love Beatties. All the staff are incredible. The prices are definitely the best IMO compared to elsewhere. Dr. Lima is my absolute favourite. She is an angel and an incredible vet!! I’ve never had a bad experience here. Nothing but the best every time!! Very grateful.

Expérience négative: I attended clinic on a Thursday evening with no one waiting and proceeded to wait 50 minutes. No problem, but after a 10 minute exam and blood drawn, and $500 later, I was told I could wait 30 or 40 minutes for results or they would call me at home. I went home and 4 days later with NO calls, I'm STILL waiting! This is a 15yr old dog where every day is precious and any issue could be life threatening but by all means move at a glacial pace.

Dr Dixon was very personable, friendly and kind to our little fur baby. He gave our dog a good once over and answered any questions professionally. Expérience fantastique: My failed TNR needed a vax booster. Failed as he was too social to release, & his release area changed radically- his colony feeder fell & was severely injured. The family came from far & her house was sold. Thisxkitty acted like an African lion when someone ( s) came to assess for adoption, so I had to keep him. He was pretty scared for his booster at Beattie, but the staff talked soothingly & hsndled him well- I took advantage & trimmed his nails. Staff gave me advice on what to watch for if he had a rx to the vax- loss of appetite, sleeping alot, hiding. What really impressed me was next day, staff called to see if he was ok. Followup is VIP from a clinic for your pet. I like that.

Expérience fantastique: If you're wondering about this vet's reliability, let me be the one to tell you how AMAZING they have been- and I'm not even a patient in town! I've recently just rescued a dog, and Ally(or Allie) from this location did the absolute most helping me find her records, contacting the past owners, and even finding different treatments performed at different locations. The determination and care I experienced today is something that every animal-parent/owner deserves, and so do the pets! I would recommend this place to anyone in the area simply for the lengths they were willing to go for someone who is not even a client. Bravo to this business, staff, and especially Ally <3 (and, my rescue is in amazing health thanks to their team!)

One document had to be modified which was a little more work for staff…but was done for us without complaint or issue and their service is amazing. We received a personal follow up call the next day checking in on the cats, and that was really appreciated. Such a clean, professional vet hospital. We appreciate all of you!

Expérience fantastique: I trust Beattie’s 100% with my four girls. My one girl, Rayne, was in really bad shape as a rescue. She had respiratory issues, dental issues, and was extremely underweight. And when you look at her now, she’s a completely different cat. When it was time for Auren, my eighteen year old, to go to the rainbow bridge, they were there to guide her and make the transition easy for me and acted with compassion. Thank you for taking care of my babies!

Expérience fantastique: When I brought my cat Sadie in for an emergency appointment, staff at Beattie were very knowledgeable, kind and reassuring. They took great care of my girl and eased my mind with their patience and informative answers to my questions.

Expérience négative: It's very disheartening when you are given a medication for a dog that is meant for long term. It was labeled that it can be refilled and the vet at the time explained this is something you can get for the rest of the dogs life. We are now being told we can't get it since the dog hasn't been in within the last year. Try to explain that the dog is 12.5 years old and its to hard to get them into the vets as they're a large dog and their hips give way while walking let alone getting into a car. Nonetheless we were turned away unable to get the medication.

But in the meantime I found them very accommodating, their prices are reasonable and they have access to a payment plan, which is very helpful to a pet owner now a days.

Expérience fantastique: We rushed our kitten in on Wednesday who ended up extremely sick with a kidney infection, Dr Lima and Dr Ben along with the staff were incredible and so caring. They were honest with us and took the time with our cat Ava to make sure she was good to come home and to have proper at home care. They were there to listen to us and answered all of our questions and concerns even after we were home. We cant thank the staff enough for the pics and emails and follow up calls while she was in their care. We couldn't have had a better experience during a time that was so scary for us and our furbaby so thank you to the staff at Beatties for being there for us and taking care of Ava. We are grateful ❤️

Expérience positive: Beattie's staff are friendly and are very professional at what they do. I have taken my dogs there for years, and have always felt certain that they are receiving the best care. Like most veterinary offices, they do have higher costs than what I would like to see, but again that is unfortunately the norm for most veterinary practices.

Expérience négative: I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this hospital as they have terminated my relationship with the hospital due to point 2 in the cons list stating that it is inaccurate and insulting. I wrote exactly what happened and to make people aware of what could happen to their pet. No loving dog parent would want their beloved dog to visibly shake, cry and be traumatized even for a little while. My dog was shaking, and crying with visible nicks and cuts for a week after his over priced grooming at this animal hospital. When I called them to let them know about what happened, the staff said to take him for a walk. That did not cure him. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS HOSPITAL. Pros: 1. The vets are very friendly and the staff is reliable during vet visits, for medication and how to give it to the dog. I got an appointment on the spot and they treated my dog within minutes. 2. The vets are knowledgable and give you all the information. 3. Friendly staff. Cons: 1.They don't know how to correct matted fur and they suggest to shave the dog. Puppy Love Dog Grooming at Downtown Brantford know how to cure matted fur and they charge way less. 2. They traumatized my dog when I gave him for grooming the 3rd time. His balls were blue, he had nicks and cuts, he was visibly shaking and wimpering. IDK if the staff mistreated him or the staff who handles him was new and hence I won't recommend their grooming. 3. To cut his hair, give him a bath and trim his nails, they charge $200. Puppy Love Dog Grooming charges way less than $200. 4. Due to the extremely negative grooming experience, I prefer to not board my dog with them as IDK how they will treat him. Update: My dog didn't have sores and now Beattie Animal Hospital has just lied in their reply to save their face. So unprofessional! Never take your pet to such a horrible place.

Expérience négative: My dog was itching lots and his skin was red in a few different spots. My girlfriend took him to this animal "hospital" to diagnose and they told her that it was a skin allergy, charged $500 for antibiotics for bacterial infections and medication to stop the itching. Turns out it was actually fleas... This "animal hospital" failed to diagnose the most basic of issues. Refused to do anything about the $500 charged for failing to diagnose and providing unnecessary medications. Very unprofessional all around, even to the smallest details, they did not even care to spell her name correctly or the animals name correctly on the invoice. It just shows they really couldn't care less...

Expérience négative: Today I had an appointment with my cat to do the annual check and vaccine. The nurse that got the first info was pretty nice . The doctor seemed nice and gentle but I could not understand a word he said . Had to ask a few times to repeat it. His thick accent definitely disturbed understanding his words. I asked about little scratch on my cat’s skin. Doctor said - use polysporin. I was shocked because I’ve read that polysporin may be deadly for cats. I guess this place is a perfect example of “you get what you pay for”

Expérience fantastique: I brought my new puppy home two months ago and was given lots of suggestions by people with dogs as to where to go to see a vet. I went by their suggestions and took my dog to the clinic in St George. The only pleasant person that was there was the vet himself. Everyone else who workdd there was very cold anx had no empathy. Not to mention they were extremely overpriced. I started calling other vets in Brant County and came across the Beattie Animal Hospital which is a 5 min drive from my house. I got a friendly welcoming person on the phone for the very first time. I had my first appointment and was extremely pleased. They explained everything in detal and EVERYONE was so nice to me and my little Chloe. I had Chloe spayed yesterday and once again Everyone was extremely polite and caring. It was a tough day for not only Chloe but me too. They called me right after the surgery and explained everything that had happened which they did when I dropped her off too. Chloe had no anxiety at all because of the amazing care she was provided. They are very well priced and provide above and behind care. Don't look any further and book your furry friend with this clinic. They are outstanding. I worked in Customer Service for 23 years and know how you should be to make your customer happy and let me tell you I am extremely happy with everything and everyone at this clinic.

Expérience fantastique: I highly recommend Beattie Animal Hospital for veterinary care. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and helped put our family at ease. They took the time to explain the surgical procedure and what to expect from them following the surgery. They have great hours to drop off your pet as well as pick them up after the procedure. They are reasonably priced and in a great location.

Expérience négative: Reception staff are friendly, but Dr. Dev failed multiple times to check my cat thoroughly. He completely missed an ear infection that was easily diagnosed by another veterinarian and is now being treated at another clinic. Will not be coming back here.

Expérience fantastique: My cat gave birth to 5 kittens this morning. And one kitten was unfortunately born with a severe and painful defect right out of the womb. My wife took the kitten in to this vet hours after the birth of the kitten who was suffering and clearly in pain, and had to put the kitten down. But we were unable to pay the full amount up front, and the veterinary staff were more than kind and compassionate, and helped her anyways to do right by this little kitten who has the misfortune of being born in such a way. 5/5. Absolutely highly recommend this vet due to their care and compassion towards the betterment and welfare towards animals

Expérience négative: I will never recommend this place to any pet owner. My cat is really sick and they wouldn’t help us by letting us pay by a payment plan as we were denied of their suggestion going to lend direct as we don’t have the greatest credit. I then asked for suggestions to at least help my cat be comfortable and the answer I got was they couldn’t help as they didn’t know what was going on with my cat and they would need to examine him even though I told them the symptoms. I am disgusted by the lack of no compassion they have for animals. Please people look else where as all they care about is money and not your pet.

Expérience négative: I set my kitty up with this office, there's been constant miscommunication since going here and no one seems to be on the same page here, you get charged a consultation fee every single visit with no option to say no to it. I was told when I took gizmo for his second set of shots that once he gets his third set I could book his neuter 10 days after. I took him in for his third set of shots today and they told me I can't schedule his neuter until the first week of December. Almost a $90 consultation fee every time I walk in there and misinformation. Highway robbery.

The staff are extremely friendly, patient and knowledgeable. We have recommended Beattie to our family and friends. Their rates are very reasonable too!

My dad took her in and they said they were closing in 20 minutes and won’t take her. We took her to another one and got told to just give her Benadryl. Good to know this emergency vet cares more about their closing time than pets lives

The doctor did a thorough checkup and shared many helpful tips on cat care. We were very pleased with the service.

Expérience fantastique: Our senior girl had a lot of issues as she became a older gal. 3 years ago we brought her in to Beatties and had Dr.Sabhaya for her consult. During the exam he had suspicion that she could have this rare disease. After testing it was confirmed. A disease that 1 in 250000 dogs get. After much research I found out that most dogs go undiagnosed for a long time because it's so rare. During those 3 years when my dog had issued and we booked an apt I just hoped that we would have dr. Sabhaya. Every time it almost seemed we had him and he would be very thorough and have answers for us. Most recently last week we knew our girl was not well. Took her in. Within 5 minutes he knew what was wrong with her. Unfortunately the diagnosis was not good. He did not pressure us in to doing thousands of dollars worth of tests and at this point I had trusted he was correct. We had scheduled her euthanasia for 4 days later and requested Dr. Sabhaya was our vet for her last day. Unfortunately we had to take her to emergency less then 2 days later. I would like to thank Dr.Sabhaya for his patience, knowledge and compassion. His reception girls and assistants are also just great. I wish my 14 year old girl could of waited for one last visit at her normal vets.

They are able to do medical boarding as well, which means my cat's kidney maintenance regime was accommodated. And at the end of the stay, they give you a report card on how things went with the cat. Seemed through and caring.

The vet went up and beyond and expanded every thing which was happening. The techs and front desk were super polite and helpful and made our scary stay not so scary! Thanks Beattie!

Expérience positive: Very expensive but there's an option to use Brant animal aid for low income , that cut the bill in half which was helpful. They won't help you if your pet is not spayed/neutered tho, which is kind of ridiculous considering the fact that that alone costs over $1000 , which no low income person can afford.. so seems like a way to act like they're helping but really they just get out of it by saying "oh your dogs not fixed? sorry we can't cover it"

Expérience positive: I brought the dog in for bumps on the skin. They tested for a bunch of things, prescribed some allergy meds and seems to be clearer already. I just wished they were faster since it's hard staying in that room for over an hour.

Expérience positive: We have went to Beatties for 25 yrs and had recommended it to many pet owners. Well today changed or minds with this vet. We requested a quote to have a pet put to rest. We agreed on the quote and faithfully took another pet there. During the procedure we were presented with an additional charge for $325. more than we were quoted. After questioning the difference were told that we needed to sedate our pet before the uthenizing, and they needed another $325 which brought the cost (without ashes) of $825.00. They have had our last pet and will relay this to any friends or relatives that have pets.

Expérience fantastique: My husband and I from out of town and my dog became distressed, I arrived at Beattie Animal hospital with my dog who was struggling to breathe, my dog was seconds from becoming unconscious. I was an absolute mess. I was immediately tended, the took kaz and promised to do the best they could. This isn’t my regular vet but was treated as so. All the staff on that evening were absolutely wonderful. The doctors were very knowledgeable and were able to save my best friend. They didn’t gouge me, reasonably priced. I even contemplated seeing if they would continue to see kaz. Sometimes it’s worth the drive when you get the feeling that they care about your pet and not just your pocket book. 5 STARS across the board.

Expérience fantastique: It was excellent. Dr Lima is wonderful, personable, experience and caring with the animals. She also had a new Vet training along with her, what a lucky guy to have her as a model.

Expérience négative: My husband and new pup got checked in. The vet assistant came in and asked some questions. Waited an hour for the vet and decided to leave. No one came in to say anything to me as to why the wait. Reception said you could rebook or not.

Expérience négative: A few years ago, my cat had issues & I had the pleasure of getting Dr. Lima who was absolutely wonderful and I left a very positive review. I also raved about Beattie’s to anyone that ever brought up vets or where to take their pet. This past week my same elderly cat unfortunately went downhill quickly so I made the tough decision it was time to put her down. When I called the lady on the phone (Claire) was very understanding & gracious as I explained it was just time… However, once I arrived for the apt I was left very disappointed. Upon arrival, the vet tech was very nice & noticed how our cat was mouth breathing (having to open her mouth gasping for air, clearly not in good shape). We were clearly just there to end her suffering, having come to the difficult decision to put down a beloved member of our family for 14 years. They took our cat out of the room briefly to have her “checked out” and when she returned the vet entered the room offering to do blood tests, X-rays, and other methods of “treatment” instead of just doing what we were there for. Half shocked, and obviously at a rough place emotionally I repeatedly had to tell this vet NO - I just wanted to end her suffering. Finally the vet conceded, “ok, even if we did do all that there’s no guarantees anything would help as she’s in rough shape.” So I’m left very disgusted that having already made a difficult decision, we were trying to be sold on alternate methods for a clearly dying & suffering cat. And to top everything off, I was then charged $372.90 total to put down a cat. I wasn’t given a full invoice, just a debit receipt. I am now totally turned off this place, and just like after my positive experience with Dr. Lima (who I will always be grateful to) where I raved about this place, this last experience & cost with this other vet has totally disgusted me so I will be sure to be telling EVERYONE I can about this terrible service and the outrageous cost. Beyond disappointed, and that vet should be ashamed of himself.

Expérience fantastique: Process for spay was very transparent about cost, the procedure, and what to expect. They were on time, facility was clean and well organized, and staff is very friendly, considerate, helpful and empathetic. All of my concerns were addressed prior to surgery and staff were all knowledgeable and well informed. Tillie is happy and healthy and very thankful to everyone who ensured she made a quick and painless recovery!

Expérience positive: My dog has anxiety going to the vet. Waiting in the room for 30 mins to see the Dr does not help. The Dr was very thorough. He gave her the vaccines & then a Technician came to take her for bloodwork. My total visit time was 70mins. I wish that they would not make you wait so long to see the Doctor/Vet.

Expérience négative: This is a professional and proficient Animal Hospital that we use regularly for our young dog who has a heart condition. Dr. Sabhaya is amazing and all the staff are compassionate and caring and great communicators. Unfortunately Beattie Animal Hospital charge excessively for out of clinic pharmaceutical prescriptions. Pet pharmaceuticals can cost hundreds of dollars per month. Significant savings can be found from Canadian discount pet pharmacies. Beattie AH charge excessive amounts for original prescriptions that are required for outside discount pharmacies.

Expérience négative: HORRIBLE My Rottweiler was INCORRECTLY undiagnosed with blood work that could have saved her life- she now passed away because the vet did not tell us the levels were critical . By the time we went to another vet it was too late. Now my dog has passed away because their "doctor" couldn't read standard blood work, and be educated enough to understand healthy levels of albium. DO NOT GO HERE I asked to speak to the owner several times and they just avoid me!

Expérience fantastique: Excellent services and care for my dog. I have been going there for 9 years for their services,I would highly recommend their clinic. The veterinary’s are very professional and knowledgeable and have maintained my dog to a strong and healthy life. I have boarded my dog there every year and he is excited to go there. The staff are excellent and take great care of your pet. I would like to thank everyone for their professional care they have shown my dog and myself.
