Expérience fantastique: I came here for a semi-emergency visit when our family vet was too far away. I called the clinic and they were able to get me an appointment within an hour, which I was incredibly grateful for. The staff were absolutely wonderful and treated my cat, Dobby, with such kindness and care. Even during a stressful situation, they made the experience a very positive one. You can truly tell that everyone here genuinely cares about their patients.

Expérience fantastique: Recently moved to the area and decided to switch vet clinics since the previous one wasn’t the most reliable and the experience was always awful. What a difference it was at this location! From the front desk help to the vet assistant to the vet herself everything was seamless. They took a lot of time to talk to me about my dogs health and history and even informed me he didn’t need a lifestyle specific vaccine which the previous clinic had administered anyway for the last 8 years. I usually have a lot of anxiety before the vet but I’m looking forward to my next visit with my frenchie! Great experience, thank you!

Before coming here, I was at another clinic where my dog Penny was often bounced between different vet techs and vets. She had quite a few health challenges, and that lack of continuity was really hard. After just one visit to Dundas West, I knew this was different and fully transferred her care. Dr. Van took care of Penny during the last two and most difficult years of her life. He was incredibly compassionate and always treated her like she was his own dog. I never felt rushed, and I could genuinely tell how much he cared about her well-being. When Penny received her cancer diagnosis, Dr. Van was there for me every step of the way. He took the time to explain options, supported me through tough decisions, and made one of the hardest experiences of my life feel less lonely. I will always be grateful that Penny got to spend her final years under the care of Dundas West and their amazing team. They gave her comfort, dignity, and love when it mattered most. Thank you for everything. ❤️

Expérience fantastique: The staff here are very committed. When my cat was discharged they called me at night and followed up by email. They also took a lot of time to explain the diagnosis and treatments, and the fees, so I felt comfortable with my decision. They use a fear free approach (my last vet clinic was very rough) so now I don’t have to fight my cat into the carrier to get there. The cat only side is a big bonus on not stressing her too. I’ve been to six veterinary clinics over the years and this one is the best.

Expérience positive: The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and my experiences with the vets themselves were positive. That said, I found the pricing to be very high (nearly $900 for two rounds of puppy vaccinations and a few months of NexGard flea and tick medication.) At first I assumed this was just reflective of the neighbourhood, but I later learned the clinic is owned by VetStrategy, a private equity firm. That helped explain the higher costs, as private equity ownership prioritizes returns to shareholders, and it’s something potential clients may want to be aware of when choosing a clinic.

Expérience fantastique: They are the best! The staff really cares and it shows and Dr. Moore is amazing. Myles says hi! :) We moved to this clinic bc of Dr. Moore but found as a whole it is the best. Thanks for all thr care you have given Myles you extended his life and most importantly his QUALITY of life by years.

Expérience fantastique: This is the Mary Poppins standard of care. It was our absolute pleasure to work with Dr. Krayz, Amy, Alice, Sarah, and Angus. All which were exceptional, kind, and went above and beyond to change the course of Maka's concern. I went in expecting a stressful experience and instead left feeling like we had the very best care, kindness and overall experience. The Disney of vet clinics. My stinky kid has maybe accepted treats in public on one occasion. Dr. Krayz came in and camped out on the floor and persisted gently with building a bond. It worked and she even had treats from Dr.Krayz! Dr.Krayz takes the time to step out and do further research to ensure the very best level of care in her patients. I was blown away. My previous clinic left me feeling uncomfortable and like I hadn't received the best level of care. This was a 15 out of 10. Thank you to the team for the complimentary tissue and care with this helicopter mom. May your pillow always be cold, your bus on time, and your streaming platform always have new episodes of your favourite show for you to watch. Thank you again from the both of us.

Expérience négative: !!! My dog was a long-term patient at this clinic. After visiting another clinic once in September, I was shocked to be told that I now have to pay for yet another full vet exam just to return here — even though only three months have passed. During this entire time, my dog continued getting vaccinations at this same clinic with a technician. The staff knows my dog’s history perfectly well. There is absolutely no medical justification for forcing another exam. This policy feels blatantly money-driven, not care-driven. Requiring frequent, unnecessary check-ups just to keep a client “active” looks like a cash grab, not responsible veterinary practice. I’m not willing to keep paying for redundant visits simply to satisfy an internal rule. Because of this, I won’t be coming back and would not recommend this clinic to others.

Expérience fantastique: Dundas West Animal Hospital is one of the best veterinary hospitals in all of Toronto. Although it is not the cheapest, it is worth absolutely every single cent, and here is why: They actually inspect your dog. The vet/techs take a decent amount of time reviewing past records, going over lifestyle, talking through many options and their results. It feels like they aren't kicking you out before you can get a word in. They trust you. It never felt like me against them, despite the fact that it's not cheap and I am by no means "well off". They don't make you feel like a bad parent for not being able to do the greatest and latest. They are so flexible. Referrals. When I could not afford a specific treatment option, they provided referrals to clinics that I could afford. Final thing - I knew there was something up with my dogs heart (for a long time!) and her previous vet never suggested doing any sort of exam on her heart or lungs even though I had brought her in for breathing issues a couple of years before going to Dundas Animal Hospital. The first time I brought her in, Dr. Van validated everything I was thinking was wrong with her. Maggie is happy again, I am aware of her issues and we are treating/already treated! If Maggie could write, she would be making this review herself hehe thank you, from both of us!!!

I was very impressed by the speed in which they had the blood and urine samples results. I also love that they have a separate space for cats only. Would definitely recommend taking your pet there

I have taken my various pets to a few veterinary practices over the past (eep!) 50 years as I've lived in different neighbourhoods around Toronto. Dundas West Animal Hospital is the absolute best. Their staff work as a team, and their veterinary assistants and patient representatives are outstanding. They understand you're entrusting them with a beloved family member. They value your subjective information in diagnosis, and involve you in discussing treatment. If there are ongoing concerns, they advise you of options and let you know what to watch for as your pet ages. (And there's a separate entrance for their cat clinic! I received continuous updates, thoughtful explanations, and genuine support. Despite Luna’s rare and challenging stomach condition, Dr. Moore has worked relentlessly to build a plan tailored to her needs, always letting me know my options. I’ve had my cat for 11 years and chose Dundas West due to convenience after I moved to the area, and I’m thankful to have chosen it. The best vet Luna has ever been to!!! Expérience négative: Useless staff. I brought in a lost dog and the staff kept evading us, not scanning his microchip, vanishing next door and to the back, and lying. Dishonest and uncompassionate, I'm so glad we didn't take our pet here when looking at vets in the neighborhood. They do not care about the safety and wellbeing of animals.

Expérience fantastique: Our recent experience at Dundas West Animal Hospital (DWAH) was so reassuring. Our cat was very ill which had us very worried. Dr. Liz and team were incredible. My anxiety level before our visit was 10/10 and after our visit it went down to 3/10. My cat does not like going to the vet, but I was surprised at how well he did at the Cat Only clinic - I'm so glad there's one available. Nicole at the front desk was friendly, helpful and very reassuring. I really appreciated the attention and care we received. I know we are in good hands at DWAH. Thanks for all you do!

I unfortunately have had both my dogs very ill in the last few months and one unfortunately pass away and in both instances I was taken care of to a level you could only pray for. The staff here is attentive caring and extremely compassionate they deal with people sometimes on their worst day and are able to provide a service I am amazed by because im sure its not easy. There is no other place in the city I would consider bringing my dog. From the front desk staff to the nurses and vet techs all the way to the Veterenarians everyone here is phenomenal. They are priced fairly and I have never felt gauged by any service they recommend. I honestly can not say enough good things! Expérience fantastique: Truly the best team! We became patients at Dundas West Animal Hospital 6 years ago when it was just our one cat. Even though we moved from the west to the east end, we continue to bring our furry babies, which have now become 2 cats and 1 dog. The team is the best, hands down. Dr. Folosea and Dr. Bahlmann especially are extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and caring. Same goes for the technician and reception team. Expérience positive: I have been takijg my animals to Dundas West Aninal Hospiral for a few years.now After the recent loss of my two beloved dogs I was hesitant to come back as I felt like we were bounced around from vet to vet,and we did not get the consistent care I needed..I recently rescued another dog and we now see Dr Kai Moore and that all changed. Brodie and I just love her. The staff are amazing and truly love animals that shows everytime we come there. Recently had to bring my cats to the other side of the practice and that too was a good experience for them as well. Now I have a permanent vet it has made coming back that much easier. My family and I had been going to the same vet since the 90s in the west end, but after recent changes in their office management, I decided to look elsewhere. It was truly a relief to walk into a clinic that felt professional, compassionate, and organized. The staff made both me and my dog feel welcome and cared for, and the appointment was thorough without feeling rushed which is very much appreciated :)

Lindsay went out of her way to bring us anxiety medication and reschedule the appointment when it didn’t work the first team. Dr. Randy, Angelica and Lindsay were so welcoming, patient and kind the entire time and went out of their way to make it a smooth visit for everyone

Expérience fantastique: My cat has been a patient of DWAH for many years and we have always received great care but recently my cat had what felt to be an emergency and everyone that helped us gave us exceptional care . I was extremely anxious and Dr Folosea was very understanding and kind to me and my cat. I have moved and it is definitely no longer close for us but I will continue to have them as my cats primary care.

She takes time outside of working hours to call and check up on him, and she was dedicated to getting his diabetes under control when we couldn't seem to get a handle on it. The entire team is fantastic and have truly saved his life. He just underwent a dental surgery and, once again, it went so smoothly. Their team is full of excellent, empathetic staff. Can't recommend this centre enough!

I’ve always been given options and been able to make decisions without feeling as though I’m hurting my kitties. I love that they are in a separate building from the dogs and I don’t have to bring them to another clinic for things like ultrasounds or other procedures. They are amazing!

Expérience fantastique: Two years ago, I rescued a 9-year-old feral cat named Princess. Sadly, she suddenly became ill not long ago and crossed the rainbow bridge. Thanks to the heartfelt advice of an angelic soul named Patsy and Lori, who helped me during the rescue, I was guided to Dundas West Animal Hospital, where I met the incredibly kind Dr. Ben Fuller. Dr. Fuller welcomed us with such warmth and compassion. He cared for Princess with such gentleness and respect — and most importantly, he gave her the peace to pass in my arms, as if she were simply falling asleep. Though I’ve said goodbye to other beloved fur babies before, this was the first time one of them was able to cross the rainbow bridge so peacefully in my arms. That moment helped ease the weight of my grief in a way I’d never experienced before. I was truly thankful for that experience. But today… I was moved to tears once again. I received a handwritten card from Dr. Ben Fuller — inside was a drawing he had done himself, and a note saying he made a donation to Team Cat Rescue in Princess’s name. It touched my heart so deeply. I cried with gratitude and emotion, overwhelmed by the kindness and love shown to both Princess and me. I’m sharing this story because I wholeheartedly recommend Dundas West Animal Hospital to anyone who loves animals. To Dr. Ben Fuller and all the staff — from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I've heard some horror stories about other vets in the area but everyone in my condo building raves about this place, so I went to see Dr. Kaitlin. Wow. This place is fun so beautifully. I love how the cats are a separate entrance/waiting room than dogs and other pets. The receptionist was very a nice dude and everyone who works with Kaitlin (like Sydney and Lyla!) is so compassionate, which put me at ease. Plus, the bill wasn't even as expensive as I thought it would be! Nothing but gold stars across the board. DWV is the place to be, y'all

The team here provided me the comfort of conversing with very calm, compassionate and reliable receptionists, and sincerely compassionate veterinary assistants and veterinarians. Everyone provided the most careful and empathetic care both in health, and especially at the end of life, for my wonderful cat. I am so grateful to Lyla, Dr. Ben Fuller, and Dr. Kaitlin Bahlmann. I recommend this vet for any cat owner. They will not let you down, and they will be transparent about costs and about the severity of illness in your animal, and they will ensure you are ok throughout every step.

The doctors and staff are amazing and caring. They are very current with new treatments and medications. They also recommend specialty care when needed. My pup is healthy today because of Dundas West. Parking is also convenient I am so thankful to have found them.

I love that they know me and my dogs personally, which makes a huge difference in the level of care we receive. Unlike other vets I’ve been to, they make every pet feel special, and I genuinely trust their judgment, they’ve always been spot on. Another thing I appreciate is that they check up on your pets and offer helpful recommendations, but they never pressure you into unnecessary purchases or make you feel guilty if something isn’t within your budget. You’re always comfortable saying no, They also take the time to answer all of your questions, making sure you feel informed and confident about your pet’s care. This clinic is like a second home for both me and my dogs, I want to say thank you for a successful surgery, Zero is recovering very well

Expérience fantastique: Dr Kilburn is very obviously gifted at what she does and I genuinely admired the way she weaved her intelligence, attentiveness and intuition into the care of my best friend, who happens to be a very cautious Shepherd mix. Expérience négative: The amount of upselling that happens in an appointment is disappointing it’s always “ this May or could happen”. They prey on their customers vulnerability and it’s the reason we are switching vets. They don’t realize it’s their customers first time having pets too and instead of educating them they shame their clients. I’m not sure what happened in the last 5 years we have come here but the vibes are off. Edit: This hospital upcharges because they are owned/co owned by the big 3 - Vet Strategy, VCA and NVA. Shame on you!!!

Expérience fantastique: Best vets in town. It is a bit pricey but the service you will receive here is outstanding! They reply emails and answer the phone super quickly. The vets aere super friendly with the animals and take the time to explain everything thoroughly to the owners. I have never had a bad time at this place. I highly recommend it!!

I have gone through some incredibly heartbreaking and difficult experiences with some of my beloved animals and they have been there every step of the way to support and help guide me. Expérience fantastique: January 9, 2025 Below is a review from a year ago, and I am very happy to report that DWAH continues to impress me when it comes to caring for my dog. She recently had a bad reaction to accidentally eating something that wasn’t good for her. Not only did they take us the same day, they managed all of the tests needed within six hours to ensure she would be okay. And indeed she was. I remain heavily impressed by the professionalism, knowledge and genuine care they take with my dog, and with me. Thank you very much to all, and especially Dr. Ben in this most recent case. Post from last year below: I could not have been happier and more at ease during my and Rosie’s (puppy) first appointment at Dundas West Animal Hospital. The front desk associate was lovely and clearly knew how to react to and treat dogs. Then Dr. Burke made the visit that much better being a calm and loving with Rosie, and knowledgeable and kind with me, a first time puppy owner. I look forward to our next visit, and have nothing but good things to say about DWAH.

A special shoutout to Dr. Do who was so patient with 2 high strung rescues and me at their recent health check. She took the time to answer all questions, and when bearing less than good news did so with the utmost professionalism and caring. She followed up with a detailed explanation by phone explaining bloodwork results and charting a plan forward. The new cat hospital attached to DWAH is gorgeous, and such a serene calm environment.

From answering our many emails, walking us through treatment plans, strategizing next steps (thanks Dr. Folosea!) and fitting us into last minute appointments, it's clear the people who work here actually care. I mean it's obvious that they honestly care about the animals they see. We can't tell you how many times they've wished us well, or signed off an email with "we all hope your sweet Sevi gets better". And when we come in with our doggo, it's so clear how much the people there love the animals they see. While everyone there is amazing we want to shout out a few people in particular: Sabby, Taylor, Katie and Brooklyne, thanks for all your help these past few weeks! And obviously, Dr. Folosea, thank you as always for the care you show to us and Sevi. Clearly, we'd highly recommend Dundas West if you're looking for a vet!

Expérience fantastique: Best veterinary in all GTA. After trying so many places I’m so happy that I’ve found Dundas West Animal Hospital. From the very first time I called in to book the appointment, Andrew impressed me and made feel that I was being valued as a client. And Doctor Kay is amazing. They provided the best care, were so accommodating, and always provided me with treatment options without making me feel guilty in case I had budget restrictions. Every person who works in the clinic loves the animal patients. When each of my dogs passed away the staff did their best to make the experience as painless and private as possible for me. Best veterinary clinic in the GTA.

The vets, vet techs, vet assistants, and administrative staff are a very skilled and caring group. We would highly recommend Dundas West to anyone looking for qualified veterinary services in west Toronto.

Expérience négative: Disappointed, disgraceful and utterly atrocious behaviour from these so called vets at Dundas west animal hospital. I booked my appointment in person as I was told two wellness exams with first rounds of vaccines would be 130 each, which would total too 260 dollars for both dogs. On the day of the visit, at the end they tried to charge me 780$ for 2 vaccines for each dog (rabies parvo) and 2 deworming pills. After being held hostage from 230-530 pm I left spending 307 dollars without DEWORMING PILLS. I hate this hospital. They do not care about your pets. They are greedy with no empathy or morals. Shame on this awful place.

Expérience fantastique: I can't say enough good things about the care my cat Sweetpea has received recently at DWAH. Dr. Krayz and Dr. Wang have been amazing with Sweetpea. I really appreciate their follow-up calls (and on days Dr. Wang isn't even working there) and emails. I always know my cat is in good hands even when I make the last minute 'can you see my cat today' call. The best vets and animal hospital I have ever taken my animals too.

Expérience fantastique: I HIGHLY recommend DWAH. I had an emergency situation, life or death, and their entire staff were so kind, caring and compassionate. Without the genuine empathy and understanding from Dr Kay I would have been a complete mess. They gave him such phenomenal care, and I truly believe if we had gone anywhere else, he would not be home right now recovering from surgery. Dr Do also gets an honorable mention as she was in charge of his surgery, she was incredibly kind, and did an amazing job. The vet techs were also just so sweet, giving him all the love during his stay. They really are the best, and from the bottom of my heart I will always be so incredibly grateful to every single one of their staff that was on my little guys case.

Expérience fantastique: This is hands down the best vet clinic anywhere in the GTA (and i've tried quite a few!). They take such good care of every animal. They are patient with owners, taking extra time to answer questions and make sure you understand the options and are comfortable. All of the staff are friendly and they do check-ins afterwards to make sure everything is going well. The online food ordering system is also convenient and affordable for dogs on prescription diets. A special shout out to Dr Buchanan for all her support. My pup is a bit of a medical monster and an absolutely horrible patient. She has been so patient with him, learning what makes him comfortable and going truly above and beyond to ensure he's cared for without sending me into debt. I honestly cannot thank her enough!

Expérience fantastique: ***UPDATE: An officer manager called and acknowledged I had been billed in error and offered me a partial refund so my bill would be in-line with my quote, which I took them up on. Happy and appreciative that they made it right!*** Generally have found this vet to be good, but had a poor experience there today that kinda soured me on them. They had followed up with me re: getting some bloodwork done on my dog, and I asked them what that cost, and they gave me a price / I booked. When the appointment was done, the charge was noticeably more than quoted. I asked the front desk why and they said there was a fee for blood collection - I explained the email I sent was pretty clear that I asked about the total appointment cost and I felt the person at the front desk was patronizing in defense and that they didn't take any accountability for the vet not including collection fees in the email. It's pretty straightforward - provide the cost, or if there are variables that can affect the quote, explain them up front. Ultimately, had they taken accountability for the mistake, I wouldn't be too bothered, but this doesn't give me confidence in seeing them in the future that charges won't be all over the place.

Expérience positive: UPDATE ARRIVED at 5 10 Monday to pick up medication. Reception staff refused because they are doing inventory. Blackberry is out of medication. Not posted on website. Supposed to be open till 8. Not apologetic. No problem solving. Not client or pet centric. Near Roncy I am really happy I made the switch. Follow-up is strong. Reception staff are kind.

Expérience fantastique: I brought my cat in, who had been very badly matted and had been told by other places that he would need to be sedated, but because of his size, he might pass away. I was extremely distraught and was terrified of something happening to my kitty. But the staff and doctor had assured me that would not happen and couldn't believe I was actually told that. I left my kitty and not too long after, I got the call to come pick him up. They told me everything went very well and my baby was totally fine and he had no more matts. I was obviously thrilled and relieved. I cannot thank the staff and doctor enough for what they did. So very grateful for helping my baby.

Expérience négative: I choose this clinic because of the convenience of having all test done in house but I will not be going back to this clinic ever. I took my dog here in 2022 and I was happy, came back last year June and after a month my dog had an me on a panic mode so I took him for emergency check up which the doctor did not find anything but states my dog who is 13 at that time has a heart problem and I should look into getting a cardiologist vet … I declined my dog has never had heart problem..fast forward to yesterday without doing any test I was told my dog has cancer, heart problem and was given a pain medication…

Expérience fantastique: We are new to Dundas West Animal Hospital, having switched from a corporate clinic several months ago (enough said!). His introduction meeting several months ago was great. The vet and vet tech were very supportive and thorough in this examination, easily building trust with our dog Whisky, and showing sincere care for a slightly nervous boy. Our boy Whisky was neutered earlier today and the care provided by the team was exceptional. Communication was frequent, detailed and very helpful every step of the way! Our vet tech, Alex, was absolutely lovely. As all dog parents can attest, we know when people are sincerely interested in the well-being of our fur-children. The vet who did the operation, Dr. Moore, called afterwards to provide a helpful update and explain next steps. I very much appreciated the conversation. I also appreciated the attention to the pre-op and post-op stages - providing medication to help with understandable pre-op nervousness and post-op pain control; and providing detailed post-op instructions to ensure a smooth and speedy recovery. Whisky is now resting comfortably at home. My wife and I highly recommend the team at Dundas West. Many thanks again Alex and Dr. Moore!

Expérience négative: I’ve refrained from writing this review but I think it’s about time. We brought our 15 year old cat in for an oral infection, they fed us tales of cancer so we opted for more tests and insisted we needed a 5 grand surgery. When I picked my cat up from the initial assessment she was covered in her own vomit and feces. I understand it is not common practise for vets to bathe cats, but when they’ve had an accident and you’ve been paid thousands of dollars for their care should you not? We asked them to call when she was ready, they never did. I eventually called and they said oh ya she’s been ready for hours. Upon getting her, she handed her to me, told me the medication suggested then said hang on a second let me go get your cat. Who she just handed to me. We got a second opinion, not only did our cat not need a surgery but she had ecoli from being left in her own filth. Now all 3 of our cats have ecoli due to Dundas west animal hospitals lack of care for your furry friends. Not to mention they’ve killed a dog due to negligence. So when looking for a vet, look away from this place. Unless you want your animal to suffer, you to go broke, and your animal to lose years off of their life.

Expérience fantastique: Really great vet practice. Went for the past 2 years to care for my senior cat, and recently had his end-of-life care there. All the Drs and vet techs I met were great. The prices are a bit expensive but that’s what you expect for good vet care, and they were always good about telling me my options for my budget. The cat clinic has amazing facilities which made difficult appointments comfortable both for me and for my cat. I was worried about doing end-of-life procedure in a “cold/clinical” environment, but it really didn’t feel that way in the end. They were very patient and caring at our last appointment, and sent a kind sympathy card afterwards. You can’t really ask for anything more from a vet.

Expérience fantastique: It is never easy to hear something is going on with your furry family member but it is such a relief to have a doctor and hospital you can trust! I have been coming to Dundas West Animal hospital for 5 years now and can say with confidence regardless of where I live I will keep coming back! I have worked with various doctors here and all of them have been very supportive, compassionate and informative. Recently I have brought in my 11 year old beagle in to see Dr. Aaron and it turned out my old girl had cancerous mass. Dr. Aaron was incredibly supportive mentally and emotionally. He took the time to calmly explain the situation, answer my many dumb questions and walk me through next steps. Even though it is sad news and a stressful time, I am incredibly grateful to have an advocate like Dr. Aaron that I trust and can lean on for support! I appreciate all that he and the lovely staff at Dundas West Animal Hospital do for mine and others furry friends! Highly recommend a visit!

From the moment we walked into the clinic, the receptionists were incredibly helpful and so kind, squeezing us in and finding a doctor who was able to see Nica and get her on a path to recovery. Everyone we have interacted with at the clinic has been so kind, patient, caring and incredibly knowledgeable, letting us ask as many questions as we need and helping us feel reassured that Nica is in the best hands. In just 1 week, we were were able to have Nica seen for an unscheduled urgent appointment, were provided with a follow-up, Nica was scheduled in for dental surgery and we were provided with support, phone call follow-ups, report cards and written care instructions at every turn. We are eternally grateful to the whole team at Dundas West Animal Hospital who took care of our beautiful girl.Thank you <3

Expérience fantastique: After a couple of unsettling and unimpressive visits to another Vet Clinic a friend encouraged me to try Dundas West Animal Hospital for my 18 year old cat. I have been so impressed with the care and professionalism that we received on each visit and on the follow up phone calls, after Lily's surgery. Lil's incision is healing well and she really bounced back well after a pretty long procedure. The dedicated Cat Clinic is an added bonus. Vet care is expensive but at least I feel I am getting the best care for my old gal. Very happy with all aspects of our encounters.

After a horrible vet experience in the city, I was in search for a new clinic and I was extremely happy we chose them! The doctors and staff here clearly LOVE what they do. Vet was very professional and kind, all the documents necessary was prepared in a great way, no second visit to fix them was needed. Not only did we get the immediate service we needed, but also the answers we may have not have wanted, but in a kind, gentle and supportive way. Dr. Fuller was amazing. Sweet, informative, kind and loving to my dog and supported me in making a difficult decision. Although my elderly dog passed last week, I have transferred care to Dundas West for my 4 month old puppy. Again Dr. Fuller was amazing and the technician Ryan was so caring and kind. I felt so supported. In the busy and crazy world we now live in, I feel like I got the personal service I needed at Dundas West, with a gentle kind family like manner that every pet and animal owner deserve. Expérience fantastique: Love DWAH! I only trust my fur babies with this animal hospital here in Toronto. My fur babies are always so excited to see all the staff there! Can you imagine my dogs don’t have PTSD from the vet office even if Zeus had his neuter surgery there. All my vet visits with them are amazing! I love that I feel so confident taking their advice and having my Freya cared for by all of the wonderful vets and assistants. So nice to know that there are still vets that care about our precious little furbabies :)

Expérience négative: I wouldn't recommend this place - especially if you're dealing with serious health concerns - because they charge a lot, but don't seem to have the experience to back it up. Mistakes get made that could be prevented. We were patients here for several years but ultimately decided to move on after my dog's case of acute pancreatitis was mismanaged by the clinic. After several days in their care, we wound up being sent to an emergency vet clinic in Scarborough and were told that Dundas West was calling ahead to set up an immediate intake for us upon arrival. However, the place they sent us to does not do that, and we were completely unprepared for this. The more experienced vet we finally saw at the emergency clinic called into question some of the drugs and dosages that our dog was given at Dundas West as well as the logic of sending him home each day. This confirmed my suspicion that his treatment hadn't been handled properly. Specifically: His case of pancreatitis required continuous treatment, but Dundas West had him coming in during the day and then at home with us at night because they didn't have the facilities to house him overnight. If he had received continuous treatment, he would have recovered faster (and it certainly wouldn't have cost me as much to deal with it more efficiently). Looking back on it, I presume they were interested in keeping things in-house to make money, or they may have been ignorant of their shortcomings. Perhaps they were naive about how acute his condition was. Maybe all of the above. They also overdosed him on methodone when sending him home for the night to the point where he couldn't even stand. When I brought this to their attention the next day, nobody seemed to know what the other ones had done. These things made a difficult situation much harder. It didn't sit right with me that my dog suffered for longer than he needed to because of the poor care he received from the clinic.

Expérience fantastique: Dundas West Vet have opened up a cat hospital last year, and I have nothing but positive things to say, as the service and expertise in dealing with my cats has been excellent. Dr. Bahlmann, a feline specialist, was able to diagnose a rare condition in my cat that had not been sorted out prior to this. She is a great diagnostician, and caring veterinarian, who follows up on my cats when they have had issues. The staff as well have all been excellent, and I know my pets are good care with them.

Expérience fantastique: This clinic came highly recommended by my community once I stated I was looking for a vet that is soft and caring for my senior cats. I sadly had to put my 16 year old to sleep but Dr. Drago and the rest of the staff were so amazing, caring, patient and thoughtful. It really was a great experience despite it having been one of the worst days of my life. I opted for a private cremation through the company they deal with and got to select a special urn..Im just waiting to go pick it up. I would recommend this clinic to anyone I know with pets, and the biggest blessing is that they have separated their cat and dog clinics...makes for a much nicer experience. Thank you all, I'll be booking more appointments soon for my other two kitties

Expérience positive: We visited dundas west for the first time yesterday. Front desk left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth- a smile and good customer service won't kill you. My biggest pet peeve is when you go to the vet and they try to sell you on any and every product in the clinic. Dr Fuller is one of those vets that does not do that, and that is why we followed him from our previous clinic. Ben is SO incredibly kind and patient with my very very anxious dog. We are forever grateful for him. The vet tech he was working with (tall blonde, i cant remember her name, sorry!) was a lovely human being as well. Those two as a team are very pleasant to work with. Parking/getting around in that area is AWFUL and will potentially be a deterent for bringing Moose in for all his services, but his checkups/vaccines will 100% be with Dr Fuller!

Expérience fantastique: Very professional clinic, the staff is very helpful and they make sure to accommodate all their patients for the best service. My partner went in while I was working and he was very pleased with how the appointment went and the clear solutions brought up for our cat. We felt that we could trust their expertise and we will gladly come back for further checkups. The fact that there are two hospitals (one for dogs and one for cats) is also a great thing, it makes us feel like our pet is the main focus as they only deal with cats in that part of the hospital, which is a service you don’t always get in other veterinary clinics which mix all breads of pets. They were very transparent about the costs of all the options that were suggested to us which we found very professional. Overall very happy with this clinic and we would gladly recommend to those who live on the west end.

The clinic works seamlessly with the rescue my foster dog is affiliated with- Golden Rescue Canada- and have been so kind and loving towards him. The clinic is also located in a convenient area in the west end.

I've been trusting them with my pets for a number of years now. I cannot express how much I appreciated how helpful and kind they were when my cat suddenly passed away at 7 months old from FIV. Now having two dogs I truly appreciate how honest they are, how they focus on preventative care and never try to up sell or push services on you.
