Fantastic experience: Completely reasonable rates and Dr. Nairn is great with my dog. He goes out his way to make sure she's alright (we've had a few visits). She loves coming to the vet and once insisted on going in for a visit when we were next door getting her nails cut :) Update: after years of excellent care and lots of cookies, Sophie crossed the rainbow bridge. Dr. Nairn and the FFAH team were so caring through this difficult time, and sent a lovely card signed by all of the people Sophie loved to visit once each month for her pain relief shot. Fantastic experience: Bringing a pet into your home means adding a family member. Through picking up a couple of kittens at a farm, to fostering cats through SCAT and then adopting them, our family grew by 6 felines about 15 years ago (Walter, Ally, Wanda, Ian, Ilme, Simon). Dr. Nairn and Furry Friends helped us keep them healthy over the last 8 years. We knew that, despite our care and love, we would have to say goodbye at some point. The last 18 months have been difficult. Age, and associated health conditions, could not prevent the outcome. Today, we said goodbye to our last cat. Dr. Nairn's compassion and demeanor have always made the end-of-life process as comfortable as it could be, and today was no exception. Our thanks to him and his staff for the many years of care. ❤️

Fantastic experience: My dogs became new patients at furry friends just this October. I decided to switch veterinarians after seeing some concerning reviews about our previous vet, and I’m so glad I did. I recently scheduled my 5.5y old dog for her spay on the 21st, and everything went so smoothly. It’s now day 6 of her recovery, and she’s doing really well. I have absolutely no regrets trusting Dr. David Nairn! He’s very hands-on, takes the time to really get to know my pets, and never makes me feel rushed. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about their well-being. Hailey, one of the vet techs, was also amazing, she took the time to thoroughly explain everything about the pre- and post-surgery care. Dr. Nairn and his team are truly the best! This is now the only veterinary hospital I’ll trust with my pets. I am very satisfied with the care, communication, and professionalism from the vet and staff

Fantastic experience: Best vet ever! Worst part of me moving away from saskatoon is not having furry friends close to take of my girl anymore. I recently took her to another vet for her vaccinations and annual check up, they were fine... but nowhere as friendly, loving and attentive to my girl as everyone at furry friends always was. My kitty doesn't travel well, but I may make the longer trip and take her back to furry friends again next time.

Negative experience: Please do not waste your time visiting this place!!!! The price is super high compare with other vets. We come to this place to have a Ear cleaning and Nail Trim. One staff just took our kitten in without telling us the price for the service. The staff said she would check the price but when she returned, she brought our kitten and asked us to pay the fee. The ear cleaning cost 40$ and the nail trim cost 20$. On Peticoat Junction 5 meters away, the same service cost only 8$ for nail trim and 10$ for ear cleaning. Do not believe any staff in this place!!!! They will just smile and ask you to pay much higher price. Do not come to this place! Do not come to this place! Do not come to this place!

Negative experience: Loyal client for 4 years & unfortunately I will never recommend this clinic again. Unprofessional, petty, & overall very disrespectful & clearly have no problem milking people for all of their money. I have spent thousands of dollars here, to be treated like dirt because I was frustrated with a prescription for one of my dogs that wasn’t necessary to take & was never advised side effects (with a witness) so I felt ripped off considering I spent $170 for the appointment alone & had already spent $145 in the same week, when if advised side effects I could have made the choice to purchase. I can remember the entire conversation with both Dr. Nairn & the girl (Cori) who rang me through, neither said side effects which both claim they both did. If they truly remembered why are both claiming they told us? Pure negligence on their part, I had to look up the prescription to find out why my dog was having no control of her bladder (who has never had an accident in her life either). I was never rude, disrespectful or cursed anyone out, just wanted my concerns to be heard as they were valid. On top of it it took 4 phone calls within a 2 day span to even have anyone care to listen to my concerns, which you would think you’d be on top of following up with a side effect from a prescription? Instead of rectifying & trying to make the situation right they decide to terminate the relationship with me instead? This isn’t the first time “I am unhappy” - I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t be if they are continuously quoted something before an appointment & it ends up being more than double. Just 3 months ago I was quoted $180+tax & ended up paying $330 for my dogs routine vaccines. There was no transparency of what was being charged when, & if again advised prior to what was being done/costs were discussed with me I could have decided what I was doing with my dog. I said at the time “I don’t have money coming out of my butt” because this wasn’t the first time to have new charges that weren’t charged before, & during the times of Covid I don’t think anyone appreciates being quoted something & then you’re expected to pay with no prior discussion on additional costs. I still however always paid my full bill before leaving. Super unprofessional & petty given the fact they quoted me in my vet files saying this, with no context at hand. Vet bills are expensive & many people budget for their appointments, I have not been unreasonable. On top of it Fay got quite short with me on the phone when I was trying to explain why I was frustrated & twisted my words. No one is complaining to receive parts of their bill for free, people complain when that isn’t transparent. It is not hard to tell a customer so they are aware their bill may be higher at a later date, this has a charge, this isn’t included, etc. I have tried to contact Dr. Nairn directly to speak with him about this decision because I don’t find it fair that because I was frustrated about being a regular here & what happened, they didn’t handle the situation better. My animals know the staff so I wanted to continue to go here considering my one dog struggles with anxiety & they know that. I have not heard back a word to discuss the situation. This whole thing is super unprofessional & pathetic that instead of trying to make it right to a client who is 100% loyal (whereas many people shop around to different clinics) they treat me like this instead. Talking with others now too, this is not the first time they have handled a client questioning their charges, they have “fired” previous clients who have became frustrated with similar situations. I have my own business & this is not how you treat your regulars, especially when they are the ones keeping your business running & at the end of the day pay your bills. Super unfortunate this is how Dr. Nairn chooses to conduct his business. When any customer, a loyal one especially is not happy you try to make it right, you don’t push them & the situation aside because you know you’re in the wrong. Hopefully you all learn how to treat your customers better.

Negative experience: Well I called and left a message about my bulldog, he broke out in a rash from bug bits or something at the lake anyways I wanted him looked at but no one returned my message and my stepfather even called and still no interest in helping my boy. So good thing for home remedies because I fixed him myself and saved money.

Fantastic experience: I have visited Furry Friends with my dog twice since the new vet Dr. Nairn took over in July 2014. Once for shots and again to have him neutered. The staff is very warm and welcoming. Dr. Nairn is very friendly and had a way of calming my dog who normally doesn't like to visit the vet. The day after each visit he called to see how my dog was doing. Then he called to check again later in the week after surgery. Recovery went very well! Best vet and best clinic I've ever been to! I'll definitely be back!!

Fantastic experience: Our fur baby 'Matsya' loves coming here since she was a two month old. When I give the nurse our little one I know she is going in good hands and I will get an honest feed back on her health. She is well treated and pampered, I know this because she gets exciting sitting in the car when she sees the nurses come out to get other pets. Dr. Christina is her doctor and she always been patient with her. On two instances that I needed to see the vet for semi-urgent needs, the staff was able to get in me in without issues. They also would not hesitate to help you out on the phone, if needed. Love bringing my baby here and she loves them too. Kudos to the doctors and staff !! A very well deserved appreciation.
