Fantastic experience: Fantastic clinic! I appreciate the way the front is set up with a room on either side, as we take up some space

Fantastic experience: I took my cat here to get spayed and get her shots. First of all they were very accomodating about the fact I was in an emergency situation, and their processing times for the low cost spay time are much faster than I had expected. My cat and I both had a good experience! I typically take my pets to whichever vet is closest & I love that they are located downtown which isnt too far from me. I'll be back in the future and would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a vet especially if their animal needs to be spayed or bought back up to date on shots

Fantastic experience: I was going to the same vet clinic for 6 years and I really liked them. I recently moved downtown and was looking for a new vet. I found Orchard online. They are just awesome! Everyone is so friendly! They explain everything and there isn’t any pressure to get any extra services. They took such great care of my cat. If anyone is looking for a new vet I can’t recommend them enough!

Positive experience: I like bringing my pets here but I don’t know why they offer to book online appointments if they simply will not contact you back. Just tell me to phone in if you will not supply this service instead of having it front & centre on your website.

Fantastic experience: Took our Dixie(dog) in and due to weather conditions was late. They were accommodating and thorough. Dixie was comfortable with vets and support staff. Everyone treated Dixie and us with patience and excellent care. We recommend this clinic with five stars.

The knowledgeable vet techs combined with the experienced vets give you the confidence that you are in the right place and your money has been well spent on your fur baby

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. I took my cat Momo in because I noticed a sore in between his toe beans that was getting progressively worse. They were so accommodating and very transparent with everything they were doing and why. Everyone from the receptionists, to the vet tech, and vet were so welcoming and kind. I will definitely be back with my furry babies! Ps. They have several office kitties. Potato was my favorite!

Negative experience: I wasn't happy with my first time bringing my 2 boys in for annual exam and shots and I don't know if I should even try again or go to another vet for 2nd opinion. I don't want another KE or KE-like experience. Getting told both my cats have serious heart murmers they didn't have before, and I should pay for expensive $700 heart ultrasounds, while seeing a stethoscope left on the floor behind my cat carrier, does not impress me. It also didn't impress me to have unnecessary procedure to "express" my cat's anal glands. It hurt him alot, it cost me $45 and he just had that done a month ago.

Fantastic experience: PLEASE READ! Thank you so much orchard vet care!!!! Our kitten was in need of urgent care, and they fit us in right away, (we had never been before.) Each staff member was very kind, helpful, and prompt, we instantly felt at home. We were dealt with immediately, and were very quickly greeted by the vet & owner (Dr. Orchard,) who gave us a straight to the point, intelligent and personal care plan that met the needs of our kitten and us. This vet clinic is amazing and i would truly recommend to anyone. I have been to many vets, and none have made me feel like this one. It is the type of vet that you completely trust and are not skeptical of. It is VERY clear that this vet is insanely experienced, knowledgable and loving of animals. They also take exotics! My experience was outstanding, they promptly cared for my kitten at an affordable price and i will most certainly be coming back! Thank you Orchard Vet care!! You are the best! ❤️

Fantastic experience: Before they moved from Avalon, we had taken several of our little critters and pets there. Loved them then, however since we adopted our most recent dog from a foster who works here, we love this place even more. They always treat you and your animal as if they're tour friends and your animal as there own. Our boy was having anal gland issues and they helped us come up with the best solution for our dog, and best price for our wallet. Amazing staff and just as amazing techs. If you are looking for the best price for your dollar and best care in the city, 10/10 recommended orchard. I know my pet and fur baby is in the best hands and I can rest assured with their care.

Her compassion, knowledge, and commitment to truly helping animals goes far beyond what you typically find in veterinary care. Seven years ago, she quite literally saved our cat’s life. A different vet had no answers for us and even suggested euthanasia — but Dr. Orchard stepped in, created a treatment plan tailored to his needs, and gave us many more precious years with our sweet boy. We will never forget that. And just recently, she worked her magic again. Our three-legged dog Bruce suddenly couldn’t stand, and we truly thought we were going to lose him. But Dr. Orchard, with her deep expertise and calm, confident approach, gave him the exact care he needed — no unnecessary tests or procedures, just the right treatment at the right time. Within days, Bruce was back on his feet, happy and walking around like nothing ever happened! One thing that really sets Dr. Orchard apart is that she practices chiropractic care for animals, which is incredibly rare and has made a world of difference for our pets. Fantastic experience: I could not speak more highly of my experience at Orchard, and particularly with Dr. DeWalt. I’ve dealt with some gruff and rough vets in the past and wasn’t sure what to expect, but all of the administrative staff, technicians, and doctors were welcoming and compassionate from the moment we entered. Despite having never met Flash before and seeing us only by luck of the draw, Dr. DeWalt was so kind and gentle with him (with both of us) and made a difficult day a tiny bit easier. I highly recommend Orchard Veterinary Care to anyone seeking pet care or looking for a new vet.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely enjoy going here. The receptionists to the vet techs, and assistant is amazing. We regularly see doctor Dewalt, she is friendly and gets us the information needed without any confusing jargin. As well she is very helpful with our pets needs. River loves it here. The only downside is I wish they had their app back, but I am not deducting from that!

Fantastic experience: Decently priced, kind staff, clean rooms. Did not shame us for rescuing a dog in our 20s and doing a few things wrong. Told us what to do instead and gave us tips. Gave us meds for nail trimming so we can work on it at home instead of booking in and spending money each time!! Will be back. I feel bad cheating on my other vet but my heart has room for two I think … hehe.

Fantastic experience: I had Dr. DeWalt today and she was so good with my anxious shepherd/cattle dog mix. She listened to my concerns, told me I was leading the appointment and we could stop if my dog got too anxious at any point. I’d highly recommended her for anyone concerned about their dog’s reactivity at the vet.

Fantastic experience: My little girl had to have an operation to clear up a bladder issue. Orchard Vet clinic was recommended by the UofS animal hospital. They were very professional and scheduled the procedure asap. My little girl is doing so much better, totally mended, and back to being my furry friend. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: The reason we started going to Orchard was because Mike's friend Monica worked there. Then Tuesday our frenchie Tiggs was in trouble. The staff took my numerous frantic calls and they got me in quickly. It just so happened she needed emergency surgery. Thank you so so much to Dr. Orchard and her exceptional staff. Tiggs is recovering very well.

Fantastic experience: Best veterinarian care I have ever experienced. With my specific scenario the other 2 veterinarian’s that I spoke with both said to “wait and see if it becomes serious” with my dog. However this vet said that we can do tests and an X-ray / ultrasound to explore to see if it is a problem now. If it is then we would do surgery now to prevent further damage later. Sure enough, it was a problem and probably saved my dog (and us) a lot of heart ache. My furry friend is still with us today because of the care received at this vet. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you to the whole staff at Orchard.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been bringing our dog for years. We’ve been a prior vets but orchard was the only one that took our food concerns seriously and gave us options to help our dog out. Our dog recently broke her leg and while the surgery was done at uofs (weekend) the follow ups have been at orchard. The entire team has been so kind. She’s a big dog who’s already anxious around other animals but now she is in pain and stressed and they are very understanding. They even let us sneak out the side door to avoid passing the waiting room

Fantastic experience: I genuinely cannot praise these folks enough. I have only been going to them for the past year, but I have a lot of cats so I’ve seen them quite frequently both for regular check ups and emergencies. They are always fantastic, compassionate, patient and knowledgeable. They are always extremely thorough, explain things easy enough for me to understand and answer my many many questions. I never feel like I’m being charged too much for things I don’t need, I never feel like I’m being rushed out the door and most importantly, I feel that they genuinely care for my pets health as much as I do. I recommend them to everybody I know with pets I’m so impressed with their whole team

Fantastic experience: We suddenly lost our cat Ollie today... He had to be put down because of a serious blood clot causing him a lot of pain. The staff at Orchard were all so kind, patient and generous with their time… exactly what we needed today and it means a lot

Fantastic experience: The folks here took very good care of my dog during an emergency situation and we're so kind to me as well. We are regulars at Orchard for everyday very care and the staff are great!

Negative experience: If I could rate less than one star I would, I have been here multiple times with my dog and never had a good experience. Would not recommend to anyone 99%of the time they can’t tell you anything about what’s wrong causing you to repeatedly go back and pay for more exams due to issues never being solved. The final straw was when they gave us a chewable pill for tick and flea treatment which messed my dog up pretty good and hasn’t been the same since, then said there’s nothing we can do to help but you can bring him for another exam. After doing research on the product we seen that these side affects are fairly common and that that type of treatment should be used after a dog has had previously been treated NOT as a first time treatment the vet never warned us about that or any of the side effects, needless to say I will not be returning to this vet.

Fantastic experience: I've been taking my cats to Orchard for their whole lives, about 15 years now. One of our guys got cancer with a facial tumor a few months ago. Dr. Orchard gave me an accurate prognosis, removed as much of the tumor as she could, and put in a feeding tube to buy him a little more quality time. What a gift that was. When I got his food ready, he'd be waiting, and then lead me into the bedroom, tail straight up, and hop up onto the bed for a snuggle and a snack, purring the whole time. New to this whole tube feeding thing, I had a lot of questions, and the vets and techs were all extremely generous with their time, which all made it possible for my dear friend Steve to live for two more good months. I'm pretty sure I've dealt with all of the staff at this point (between Steve and our other four cats), and no matter which vet you get, they're all stellar, and my cats all love/loved them. The reception staff are great, too. I've never had to wait very long for an appointment or a call back. RIP Steve (2009-2024)

Negative experience: I've used Orchard Vet exclusively for the past 20 years, and it used to be a great place to take your fur baby. Now you have no idea what vet you will see, their new office location is not great, and their services cost more than other vet clinics. Won't be back and definitely won't recommend this clinic to other people anymore.

She was wonderful, gave me such a good explanation of what was going on. She does chiropractic care on pets, which we didn't need, but if we did I'd be confident in her services.

Fantastic experience: I didn’t think it was possible, but my goldfish was saved by the miracle work of Drs. Orchard and DeWalt and the staff at this great vet clinic! Special shout-out to Courtney for making this procedure possible and setting up the consult. A growth on my fish’s eye was getting out of control getting to be half his body weight in less than a year, and was starting to split open. The quick work of these great doctors meant that my Fishy could swim comfortably and avoid a fatal rupture. His energy was as back as before, greeting me at the tank and swimming quickly to the top, which wasn’t possible anymore. Thank you!! He healed wonderfully and will continue to swim for years to come!

The vet didn't try to push tests on me for my sick dog. We are try a low impact round of anti inflammatory first. Will be back. They also called me a few days later to ask how my dog was doing! It was wonderful.

Pardon the time delay, it has been hard trying to write this letter of appreciation as many tears are still elicited. However, I very much wanted to share my gratitude in having the opportunity to do an in-home euthanasia on Monday May 9, 2022. Your team was so professional from the beginning- starting on the phone with the booking, I felt an empathetic and sympathetic response. Upon the arrival at the house, a lovely explanation was provided about the procedure during prep and a pillow was offered to keep my dog’s airway open and comfortable. Before injecting the euthanasia solution, Jordyn, the vet, confirmed the go-ahead from all present members. Jordyn advocated for Prince, my dog's, wishes to get up to go pee outside as well as allowed our other family dog in the room during the procedure. I will always remember the kindness and dedication in helping our beloved furry friends. You are very much appreciated. A big hug on behalf of Prince, Mika, and Tiffany for the commendable team at Dr. Orchards’ Veterinary Care.

Fantastic experience: Our cats have seen both Dr Antonopoulos & Wade and they have both been amazing. From treating our babies with care to providing us with options when it came down to testing, they ensured that we and our pets were comfortable with their treatment. Negative experience: RECORD your phone calls, poor knowledge of pricing Receptionist(s) review ⁃ Very poor communication on multiple accounts - (told me I was booked for the chiro but did not mention the apt was a regular vet apt to bump me up the chiro waiting list) ⁃ Poor knowledge of the pricing and process of the chiro waiting list - told me it would be $100 for the vet apt, and an additional $180 for chiro. I clarified this a few times because it seemed like a lot especially since, to my knowledge, they booked me an apt I didn’t need. (Found out after the fact it should have only been an additional $80, not 180) ⁃ DISHONEST. A receptionist I talked to LIED to the owner, saying I called them idiots and names she couldn’t say out loud. At this point it’s all “he said she said” so I really wish I had recorded the conversation to show that I did not call anyone names, let alone ones that couldn’t be repeated. ⁃ Dr. Orchard is the only animal chiro in the province so this receptionist who lied has now taken away the last chance my dog had to figure out what is wrong. We will now have to go out of province. Vet review ⁃ Dr. Wade is awesome. (Pretty sure that’s who I saw in the regular apt). She is the reason this review is more than 1 star. I considered switching to her from our regular vet but would not choose to after this terrible experience. I think it’s wrong to blatantly lie and accuse someone of saying horrible things, and that’s why I’ve left this review.
