Fantastic experience: When I need an emergency visit for my cat, they got me in very quickly. They were extremely kind and gentle with my cat. They clearly explained everything they were doing. They even called to check in the next day to make sure she was doing better. Exceptional service from everyone involved!

Fantastic experience: Stupidly got a new puppy in December and had her in for her second round of shots in January. I've been going to DAH for about 28 years - really miss Dr. Goodine and Dr. Berry. Having said that, Dr. Andersen was thorough and professional and our first appointment leads me to believe that she will live up to the care provided by her predecessors.

Fantastic experience: I have used Douglas Animal Hospital since 1999 for both my dogs and cats. Since 2018 for my foster cats. Great service and compassion. Today was for a foster cat who unfortunately had to be euthanized for confirmed cancer in her mouth and the pain she was experiencing. She was a spicy, feral cat. She was met with compassion. Her passing was peaceful. Staff and doctors were caring and treated her and myself with dignity. Treated her like one of my own.

Fantastic experience: My cat received a bad cut last winter and they saw him right away. They did a great job following up and were very accommodating. They also did a very good job managing my distress during the whole situation. Thanks to them, my cat made a full recovery and I'm very grateful.

Fantastic experience: can’t say enough good things about Douglas Animal Hospital. The entire team has been incredible with my bulldog, Rocco, who has a number of health issues, including joint problems. Every visit, they treat him like family — gentle, patient, and genuinely caring. The veterinarians take the time to explain everything clearly and never rush appointments. They go above and beyond to make sure Rocco’s treatments are effective and that he’s as comfortable as possible. The front-desk staff are friendly, organized, and always make us feel welcome. It’s rare to find a clinic where you can tell everyone truly loves animals and takes pride in what they do. Rocco actually gets excited when we pull into the parking lot, which says it all. Highly recommend Douglas Animal Hospital to anyone who wants compassionate, knowledgeable care for their pets.

Negative experience: Horrible veterinarians and support staff. We spoke with them on Oct 6 initially about our 150lbs mastiff growling and lunging at us and showing very aggressive behavior and they suggested that he go on Prozac which made him even worst. It escalated some more so approximately a week later we brought him in to be euthanized to avoid being mauled or have him maul someone else. They refused and gave us attitude. So we took him back home and sure enough 2 weeks later he mauls me (thankfully not my wife) So we brought him up there to be put down again but this time I had muscle and tendons exposed on my wrist covered by gauze while we were given no empathy again just attitude as we told them that we need to get this done ASAP as I need to go to the hospital for immediate attention (which garnered zero response). In short they finally put him down but not before he finally mauled someone (me) and after giving us as much attitude and disrespect at a very low point for us. I would strongly suggest that you look up "April Vet" as they seem to be a great professional friendly spot that people have only positive things to say about. Stay away from these wretched people at Douglas Animal Hospital.

Fantastic experience: I have had 20+ animals in my life and because I move a lot I have used as many vets. This has by far been the best experience. From adopting our two littles and their surgeries, to introducing our dog for her first check up. We have zero complaints.

She was so good to our Doberman and her technique to giving immunizations was appreciated and Levi thought she was so much fun and loved her. She made the visit stress free. Lol, we had to remind Levi that he had to come home with us. all the staff there are so helpful and welcoming.

Positive experience: Friendly staff. The vet was great. My only dislike was there was no separate areas for dogs and cats. All in the waiting room together, making it tense at times for both animals and owners. Also while we were in the room waiting for the vet we noticed blood smears all over the floor, when we told staff they immediately cleaned it up and apologized. Very quick response time

Fantastic experience: The staff here are no less than amazing. Since day one of Timons’ diabetes diagnosis he has been shown the utmost care and love, as have we. I know he’s safe in their hands and the ladies there just love to see him come in as an inpatient. We are thankful for Dr. Manner and the dedicated staff for all they have done for us and our sweet little fur baby. We don’t know what we’d do without them.

Fantastic experience: I had a little bird fall out of its nest in my yard with no hope of getting it back in. It took some digging to find the Atlantic Wildlife Institute but Douglas Animal Hospital took the little guy and hopefully kept him as safe as they could. They took him with very little questions asked and that made me happy. I hope he survived :)

Fantastic experience: We cannot speak highly enough about DAH and Dr. Bray, Dr. Jewett, and Courtney in particular, although the entire staff has been wonderful to us. Since 2016, Dr. Bray especially has helped to provide the most magnificent care to our pets, including a rabbit who has developed complex care needs. Dr. Bray has, without fail, shown us (humans, bunnies, and dogs alike) tremendous compassion, consulted the most up-to-date literature, and illustrated her immense expertise time and again; whenever we see Dr. Jewett, we have a very similar experience. Our rabbit, who received a poor to guarded prognosis at the emergency vet back in early July, has been able to get exceptional quality of life between then and now all thanks to the guidance and support of Dr. Bray, as well as Dr. Jewett. The time they have taken to consult us, literature, and of course our rabbit, who could have easily been dismissed as having no chance at regaining QoL, means more to us than we can convey. The front desk team, vet assistants, and vet techs have been very patient with us, and have gone the extra mile by helping to prepare medication with little notice in advance of long weekends. Given how busy they are, the time they take to lead with kindness and concern is neither unnoticed nor unappreciated. We cannot recommend DAH highly enough.

Fantastic experience: They fit a non customer in for a procedure faster than our own vet could. Dr Jewett took great care reviewing our file, answering questions, offering advice. We were not a number here. <3

Fantastic experience: This was the 3rd time bringing one of our pets for a stenotic nares procedure and neutering. Reason I choose them instead of our regular and closer to our home vet hospital is because of them using a laser for the procedure. This means a quicker healing time and not as invasive as scalpel and suture points. If we ever have another dog needing the procedure, you can rest assured that this will be the place we'll go again. Ps: The picture with my pup with a cone on is the result after opening his nostrils up. Frenchies have a hard time breathing like many flat nosed animals, so the procedure helps them breathe a bit better and helps them cool a bit more. All 3 rescue dogs we had had that operation and it is always a big improvement.

Positive experience: They took a bird that got stuck in the grill of our car and waited for us to get there.

Fantastic experience: Update All I can say is INCREDIBLE!! I've been to a few different vets around New Brunswick specifically the Moncton and Kent County area and none of them have met my high expectations like Douglas Animal Hospital has. We were greeted openly and very quickly, we were actually an hour early since we are coming from 2 hours away and they took us in right away. Although I had to book a few months in advance that's not their fault, there is a Veterinary shortage worldwide. We are raw feeding family and have been for 9 years. The vets that I have been to in Moncton & Kent County, know nothing about nutrition and were very rude when I brought it up. However the DAH vet was amazing. He didn't give me push back and didnt make me feel bad about it. The DAH vet went over my dog's blood work from a DIFFERENT vet that had not called me to let me know that it had come in nor had they gone over the blood work with me. Our appointment was a appointment for checkup before scheduling my dogs OSS spay. The DAH vet went over every aspect of positive and negatives of the spay to make sure that I was fully aware. He was very thorough and made sure I was comfortable. My dog was very comfortable and relaxed with the DAH vet. Which was very different from her other vet visit elsewhere. This is the first vet that I have left feeling happy and confident in sending my dog for a procedure. I will absolutely Drive the 2 hours to visit this vet.
