Fantastic experience: The team at Valley Vet always take such great care of our pets. Dr Stone was so good with our nervous senior dog and provided us with options for his care. Hopefully he will be on the mend soon.

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is so lovely! Our cats are so well taken care of. I know they’d be in good hands with any of the staff, but Dr. Finley is especially wonderful. She makes us think that our cats are the most amazing cats she’s ever seen every time we bring them. As two indoor-only cats, leaving the house is pretty scary, but Dr. Finley and the staff at Valley Vet comfort them and put them at ease.

Fantastic experience: My seven month old puppy Penny got into a toxic substance in our house chocolate brownies!! Her reaction was swift and startling with visible tremors and whining, and I immediately called Valley vet and they had me bring her right in and we’re very reassuring to both my pet and to myself. They quickly induced vomiting and hooked her up to an IV to flush her system of the toxins. I was able to pick Penny up later that afternoon when she was feeling much better and I was so relieved and happy to return her to our family.

Negative experience: Valley Vet banned both me and my mom. I went there for my cat, and after a $300 bill, I asked for a detailed receipt. They were already annoyed I asked for one. Once in my car, I calculated everything and went back inside to ask why the numbers didn't make sense. An hour later, I got a call saying we're not allowed there ever again because I clearly don't trust them by simply checking my receipt apparently you arent allowed to question anything. My mom wasn't even there, and she got banned too! If you want to keep your vet, DO NOT question them. Don't check your receipt, or you and your family will all get banned. PLUS, they're the most expensive vet around, and they're always taking new clients while other vets have waiting lists to get in. I wonder why! We've spent thousands there, and this is what we get.

Fantastic experience: We drive all the way from Bathurst to get our little fuzzy ball of chaos, Eevee, get very well looked after by Dr. Stone. Always friendly, smiling staff, who are very considerate of the distance we travel to get there. They always make sure we have everything we need lined up for the appointment. We were just in yesterday to get Eevee's adrenal implant, and had another excellent experience with Dr. Stone. Always informative, willing to answer all of my incessant questions, and goes above and beyond in sharing any information that she thinks may be relevant to us. She definitely makes it worth the drive. Thank you Valley Vet!

Negative experience: Friendly staff and a positive experience overall. I understand that requiring an appointment for medication may be this clinic’s policy, but I was told the medication required a prescription, which made it feel like there was no other option. The visit cost $346 ($110 per appointment plus $40.64 for medication). I later learned the same medication is available at Sunshine Valley in Sussex, NB for about $70 with no appointment required. I’ll be doing more price-checking in the future, but I do wish costs and options had been clearer upfront.

Fantastic experience: My appt was scheduled for 1pm. I got right in and spoke to the vet assistant right away. Vet came in about 15 min later and assessed my GSP. She was diagnosed quickly and received a prescription and was on my way. I really enjoy Valley Vet and the staff are always pleasant with my dogs.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best vet hospital in Fredericton. I could not ask for a better experience. Dr. Finley treats my cat Cheerio like he’s her own. I can really tell how much she cares about her patients. She gives me a sense of ease knowing that she will always do what is best for him. Their pricing is so fair and they understand that cost can be a challenge and do their best to be accommodating and present you with all your options. All the techs and reception always make me feel so welcomed and give my boy plenty of attention. If you want a vet office that makes you feel like family I would recommend Valley Vet.

Fantastic experience: First Vet I have been able to find to trim my African greys beaks and talons. Our vet was very friendly and they took very good care of our birds, answered any questions I had. We definitely will be bringing them back again!

Fantastic experience: Dr. MacLeod is excellent. You can tell she truly loves animals. Our new puppy didn't even realize she was getting vaccines, and our 2.5 yr old dog is so calm around her. She's not pushy at all, and gives great and honest advice and recommendations. I'm so happy we found a Veterinarian in the area that we can trust and feel confident in! All the vet techs and other staff are also fantastic.

Negative experience: Would not recommend. Only had one successful appointment with them. Multiple times I’ve tried to book or called to have mediation filled, only for me to not actually get an appointment, been given the wrong time over the phone or just told they have “no record” of me calling. Waste of time.

Fantastic experience: We should have switched vets a long time ago! We now drive almost an hour to take our 3 dogs to Valley Veterinary Hospital but it’s totally worth it! Dr Stone has done wonders for our oldest dog, Cricket! Online booking for basic needs is convenient, and all staff have been great!

Negative experience: This was a great clinic until recently when it was sold to a large veterinary chain. Our vet is still there, so we have continued, but staff is rude and don't take ownership when they make mistakes. Also, the costs have skyrocketed. If we didn't have such an elderly cat, we'd switch clinics in a heartbeat.

Positive experience: We have been coming here since we moved to Fredericton and I have to say it's been it's the best veterinary hospital we have been to and take all six of our animals here. I got an email saying how my pet insurance is going up because vets are now charging more. You ask why I would put this information on this review? New kitten check with first needles $170, at the same time bring one of my other cats in for just for yearly needles and get charged another $170 plus meds and it's almost $600. I get told to come back in two weeks for a recheck. Both animals were in and out less then 25 minutes (ouch). I come back in two weeks and get charged for a recheck (I understand the charge for the ear swab test), in which the total bill was over a $100. I shouldnt have gone for the recheck since I know the problem was gone, but I do take care of my animals and wanted the ears looked at. I was told by the vet on the first visit I would not be charged for the recheck and understood I would have to pay for the ear swab. I am totally disappointed in today's visit and in two weeks, the kitten goes in for the next shots. Do I recommend Valley? Yes, but make sure you check ahead of time what your bill will be (give or take what is needed for the visit). Hopefully, for my animals yearly needles, they can just see a tech long as I have no health concerns or questions. $340 for less than a half hour visit is up there. Sorry for the rant. All the vets and support staff are great. As I stated before, I do recommend Valley and just wish the pricing would be adjusted for time spent. I just can't give 5 stars right now. In three years I have brought a few people to come and or switch to Valley

Fantastic experience: Valley vet did everything for my sweet darling dog. Although her illness was too severe, they stood by me and truly treated us like family. They did absolutely everything in their power to help, and Im eternally thankful for everything. Even though my precious baby didn't make it, I'll continue to use Valley because they care, they exert every option, and they excel at their jobs. Thank you Valley vet, for loving Ray as much as I did, and for doing everything possible ❤️

Fantastic experience: Had an emergency with my dog, they got me in for an appt on the weekend fairly quickly. Did great with my dog, was very thorough, communicative, professional, friendly, helpful, and very informative. I left feeling at ease knowing my pup was going to be okay.

Fantastic experience: I took my 1.5 year old cat, Frankie, to the Vet for his shots and neuter yesterday and the staff were extremely friendly. They treated Frankie great and he was doing amazing the very night we took him home. I would definitely recommend Valley Veterinary Hospital, if ever you’re worried about how well your fur baby will be taken care of. :)

Fantastic experience: I recommend this vet! I brought in my rats due to suspected mites, it was only two rats and it wasn’t so expensive as I thought. The appointment time was fine itself, I thought I would get in much later due to the amount of appointments but they had a cancellation and took my rats in quickly! I was happy with how quickly they told me, and how I was able to get my rats seen in a fair amount of time. The appointment itself was about 95 dollars not including tax, which is fair! They did general weighing and scanned both rats to find any abnormalities/lumps and checked common health signs such as checking teeth, heart, breathing, etc! I found it amazing she didn’t just focus on the issue I brought them in for and reassured me that they were healthy. They couldn’t find mites when they took tape samples from their fur, but they still gave me medication for mites and I’ve been treating them for it since! Ever since, I am glad she decided to treat them anyways even if she couldn’t find anything.. the rats seem to be doing better already and I haven’t given them their second dose of Revolution yet! The appointment itself was only 146 dollars, which isn’t bad at all for a vet! I was worried since they are rats and it’s a group of two, that it would be more expensive.. but this was amazing to hear how cheap it was since I am a teenager and money can be tough. In the past, I have brought my cats here and they are still with me and healthy. I believe the person who saw my rats was Dr. Stone, although I could be wrong.. although she was amazing and super friendly with my rats! I was stunned the rats didn’t manage to scratch her, everything she did was professional and she made my rats feel comfortable with her hence not scratching her. Absolutely wonderful environment, staff seemed to be lovely and efficiently working, thank you. Update, this review is still very much the same! The rats I mentioned above have passed away, but they were cremated at the Valley Vet and while during the time it was very bittersweet.. The staff showed kindness & support during both times I brought them in. I didn’t want to let go of them but I was reassured that they were in the right hands and would be given back to me in a different way. Very very much recommend this place, I recommend Dr. Stone for small animals (She has taken a look at all of my rats) Sweet and knows how to handle them. Sweetheart did good at the vet!!

Negative experience: I never had any issues until I had gotten a new puppy. They told me that my dog (100 lbs puppy) was being aggressive. And yes I did spank my dog for lunging at somebody. Is an 18-month-old puppy that never had any issues. After three vets visits, my dog became increasingly aggressive And instead of trying to medicate him to calm him down, they muzzled him aggressively. And for the next 45 minutes all he did was growl and snarled and instead of putting actual "medical notes" on his medical file. They just put how aggressive and mean my dog was even though they're the ones that came in with a giant muzzle and stuffed it onto his face and it was TWO sizes too small for him. His mouth was bleeding when I left. As every single staff member was terrified of my dog. The aggression kept getting stronger and stronger and even with all the training and multiple trainers trying to help me in the weeks that passed he still proceeded to get worse. I'm not saying that this is the staff's fault. Not saying that this is my fault. However, I believe a lot of this could have been prevented with a little trust and love. The vet accused me of being a bad parent to my animal and tried to have me charged through the SPCA. When all they had to do was come and talk to me about the situation. I felt very disrespected and I felt that my animal wasn't cared for at all. They charged me $1,500 just to have him fixed, And they did a whole bunch of medical exams that I did not ask for. Honestly this company is just looking for money and they have lost the view of their real purpose what l it actually means to care for real animals and real people. They're not in it for the health and safety of our animals. They are terrified of large dog breeds. Do not recommend you take your large dogs to this location. I have moved all 8 of my animals out of this location.

Fantastic experience: Dr.stone is the best you'll ever have. 14 years experience as a canine handler, in and out of working at vet clinics as a vet assistant/ exam room manager; can easily say this is by far the most respectable clinic/staff within the surrounding areas. 10/10 always.

Negative experience: Unless your pet’s a patient they’ll not seem them come hell or highwater. They’d rather let them die than take even 5 minutes to look at them.

Fantastic experience: Love the staff at Valley Vet. They really take care of our fur babies and us. Recently we had to send our sweet Blu over the bridge. Everyone there was supportive and patient with us while we struggled with our decision. In the end, we could not have asked for better support on that day. Fantastic experience: Valley Vet is literally the best vet in the area. Christle is such a sweetheart when she answers the phone. She is always there to help in whatever way possible. When she isn't being a superhero up front, she's helping wherever needed. She's even helped me during tough decisions in the back, such as saying goodbye. She has even held my hand, listened to me vent and allowed me to cry. Dr. Cartwright has always been such an amazing man any time we are there whether it's a checkup or an emergency. He is just such a gentle soul and truly cares. He is not there to take advantage of a situation and make money. He treats every pet as if they were his own and you can tell by his eyes that he's there for you, no matter how easy or tough the situation is. I love you all very much at Valley Vet.

Due to my dog having seizures and they were able to prescribe a medication and blood work as well as an appointment ON THE SAME DAY I called and asked if they were taking new clients . Wonderful service and felt they loved my dog as their own . As I was recently a patient at Main Street vet . I found them useless and felt as though he wouldn’t fully diagnose just to keep me coming back . The initial exam fee is significantly higher than valley vet . And you definitely don’t get what you pay for . So if you’re looking for a good vet Valley is the way to go . Can feel at ease with the situation at last .. THANK YOU VALLEY VET

Fantastic experience: Valley vet has been caring for our dogs for the past 5 yrs. I feel like all staff members have genuinely loved and cared for our pets like we do. The clinic is well run and the vets are knowledgeable and skilled. Archie just had his neuter and they snuggled him and gave him a hoodie to wear home. He is recovering without issue same as our other Boston terrier did. Thanks for being awesome!

We are not high maintenance clientele, we do not expect any business to kiss our a**, and we have had a couple of rough experiences at Valley over the years - but the absolute stellar compassion, attention and professionalism of the staff keeps us coming back. As busy as they are, dealing with people with sick loved ones in times of immense stress, and keeping things in order, they do an amazing job. At each visit, they have listened to our concerns and offered options and advice - even the bad news is dealt with professionally and compassionately. Shout out to Drs Finley and Cartwright, Claire and the unsung heroes out back who are not seen, but help keep things running smoothly. Thank you to Dr Schneider for running an establishment that adapts well to its clients' needs.

Fantastic experience: Amazing, loving, caring vet. If there was an option to rate them at 1000 stars, I would hands down give them that rating. My fur baby (dog) has been cared for from them from breaking his foot to dealing with his seizures. They don't force you to get any kind of treatments, they go over all your options of treatment, care, and pros and cons of each treatments. They don't Nicole and dime you for anything. When I lived in Alberta, they ALWAYS charged for and had to do an exam, even if you already got one 20 minutes ago, and had to go back either your pet for the same thing, here at this vet, they don't work that way. Highly recommend this vet hospital. ❤️

Fantastic experience: Well LillyVale got a new sheriff this week. Bruno became the One-eyed-woofer. After months of us attempting to manage his progressing glaucoma, Bruno went for a special surgery that would relieve him of constant eye drops and pain. Thinking about him living with 1 eye or even complete blindness was really a wrench to our hearts. Seeing him post surgery and his improved quality of daily life, confirms it was the best thing for our little man. Other than a missing eyeball, our oldest paw-kid should have a few solid years in front of him. I’m thankful for our team of Vets at Valley Veterinary Hospital. Long live our “One-eyed-Woofer”

Your amazing caring for our fur babies. ❤️ never had to worry about my rescues being abused by staff. You always have so much compassion and kindness for all my rescues. It's nice to know my pups have an awesome team of staff to get the care they need.

Negative experience: The manner in which this veterinarian office conducts itself is grossly incompetent. The phone is rarely ever answered (voice messages must be left, and are inconsistently returned), mistakes are made with medication orders (e.g., orders not placed or lost/mislabeled among other orders), and there is a lack of follow-through (e.g., one must chase after them to get information on the condition / medical status of their pet). The priority here is apparently not the well-being of pets. Utterly disappointing and will be going elsewhere.

Positive experience: The vets are really good but there is an extreme lack of communication or ability to reach anyone. You have to call 7-8 times to get through to the reception desk. When you have test results that you're waiting on, they don't call you to give the results half the time. You have to call them, they will then tell you the vet has to call you back and you wait another half a day to get that call.

Fantastic experience: We had a rough bout where we had to have two of our fur babies leave us within 2 1/2 weeks of each other...they were amazing and gave us all the time we needed. We will never choose a different vet as they truly are animal lovers and not just in it for the money. Full respect for this vet family!

Fantastic experience: New in the area, came highly recommended by friends, got an appointment almost instantly, no wait. Very good turnaround, informative and welcoming. Very happy to take my dog here. *Edited to add: a year later and still extremely happy with the level of care & service my pet receives here. I have had many vets for my senior dog over the years due to frequent moves and this one is the best.

Negative experience: Dont bring your dog for a neuter here. They just go by a book and overdosed my dog. And then have the audacity to send me letter saying they wont be doing business with me anymore. You think im coming back to your pathetically ran "animal hospital" think again. Good luck bringing your dog here. Ps. If they do stop your dogs heart they immediatly blame your perfectly healthy, priorly tested dog on what you fead them. Nor will the vet look you in your eyes and talk to you about what they just did to my dog. This was my experience, my poor baby.

Fantastic experience: The atmosphere at Valley Vet is very welcoming and that's all due to the wonderful staff. I have yet to have a bad experience and I can't imagine I ever will. Jasper & I are very happy to have made the switch to Valley Vet from our previous vet.

Negative experience: Right now I would give zero stars if this app would let it. Just back after having a vet tech refuse to mask in a small exam room with very poor ventilation. We asked her nicely to mask and she said she didn't need to put up with abuse from US. The CO2 was a mind clogging 2267ppm in the exam room. SARS-CoV-2 has not disappeared, too bad Valley Vet doesn't believe in actual science.

Fantastic experience: Was referred here by a family member who takes their cats here as well and I have nothing but nice things to say it was a painless smooth and quick visit everything was explained thoroughly and easily understandable. Can't wait for the next vet visit and might I add Sullivan gives the wet food a 5/5!

Fantastic experience: I will not take my bunny anywhere else! Dr Stone was amazing. She called me to let me know when he was going under anesthesia, when he woke up and explained the procedure and post-procedure care very thoroughly. Highly recommend. Kind staff, very knowledgeable. I can drop my rabbit off there anytime knowing he is in good hands.

Fantastic experience: Valley Vet is the only place I will trust with my fur friends. Dr Rhonda Stone and the entire staff always make us feel welcomed, loved and treated with kindness and dignity. From emergency visits because my pup Greedy Greedo Chicken Burrito had over stimulated himself, to annual checkups right down to the final moments with my dad's best friend Thumper the cat (named because of what he was prone to do to you if you forced yourself on him), we always feel like we are important and are never rushed. This is why in just a few short weeks our new family member, Ezra Colleen 1 of 3 will become a lifelong client of Valley Vet.

Fantastic experience: Recently had my first experience at Valley Veterinary Hospital and despite it being a very emotional and hard decision to put our beloved boy to sleep after 15 years, Dr. Egers was a pleasure. She took the time to ensure we understood every step and explained everything very clearly. She took things slow and not only at our pace ensuring we were ready but that most importantly our dog was comfortable and not stressed throughout the entire ordeal. I didn’t know what to expect going into it but she made it the best she could for us and we felt genuine compassion from her and her techs unlike some other locations we have visited in the past. Today I received a hand written letter from Dr. Egers along with paw prints from our boy and we were so touched and thought it was such a thoughtful message. It is easy sometimes I think for people to lose their compassion in this industry when they have to see things like animals being put to sleep so often but for the owners, the little things like receiving that letter and paw prints.. mean the world and remind us that our loved ones weren’t just another appointment in the day. Thank you again Dr. Egers and staff for making our heart breaking experience just a little bit easier. I will definitely be in again soon with my two other dogs.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Valley Vet. We have always been able to get appointments quickly and never wait long in both the waiting area and exam rooms. From the moment we walk in, my dogs are greeted by name and fussed over by everyone. All staff make sure that you know your animal is important and I've always felt confident and satisfied with diagnoses and treatment plans received. I always recommend Valley Vet to everyone.
