Positive experience: Doctors are nice and competent, the service has always been pleasant with them. I would recommend better customer service training for the redhead secretary with the glasses in the front; she’s very passive aggressive and impatient. I get things may seem silly upon having a work routine, but us as clients don’t know how things work always, so I’d appreciate a kinder, friendlier attitude as is not very polite to be met with attitude.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been coming here for many years and always have a great experience. The staff is very kind, accommodating, and patient, especially since my dog is scared of the vet. They’ve allowed us to use a separate “cozy” room to wait and be isolated from other pets. I find that they’re also well priced for the area.

Fantastic experience: The staff at this clinic are absolutely wonderful. I drive all the way from the east end just to go here. The medical staff are understanding, empathetic and great listeners. I’ve been going here for years and I’ll continue going here for more to come.

Fantastic experience: I’m honestly grateful to have found this veterinary clinic. Even though there’s a vet just two minutes from our place, my partner and I are more than happy to drive the 15 minutes it takes to get here because the service is absolutely impeccable. I can call or text anytime if there’s ever a question or concern about our dog, Winston, and the team is always quick to respond with care and compassion. They are always professional and caring and clearly very dedicated. The staff here are not only incredibly competent, but also so genuinely kind that Winny absolutely loves visiting. He’s never nervous or scared—he knows he’ll be greeted with treats, affection, and a warm welcome every time. I cannot recommend them enough!

Negative experience: Honestly, I'm writing this review with mixed emotions... I came to this clinic as it's a bit more affordable than others in my area for consultation fee (82) and cuz of the usual great reviews. But I guess it depends which vet is treating your animal... I would start by saying I think it's an overall not a bad clinic, but you should stay away from vets in the clinic who have less than 5 years of experience... My dog got seen by the vet Charles Courtemanche. While I believe he is not completely incompetent as a vet, I've to admit there may be much room for improvement.... I brought my dog for an exam cuz he has a little bit of hard time breathing after a long walk. Charles was very patient & examined the dog. At the end of examination, he said he's not sure what the issue is & asks permission to do some X-ray images (210) for my dog. He said he lacks tools for diagnosis before it's done... He kept saying it's imperative to do it asap. I accepted to do X-rays to check the torso of my dog...despite the bill now becomes over 300 (82+210 plus tax) After X-ray, he said my dog has partial obstructed airway issue & told me he recommends taking medication in the range of 250 plus taxes & asks me to spend over $1300 for the visit for various tests, blood work & to seek specialist opinion on the matter... I found out from our conversation he has 2-3 years of experience as a vet max, so I insist he consults his colleagues for a second opinion before spending. He consulted Kate, a more experienced vet who did an examination on my dog & he said she agreed with his analysis. Basically, at this point, Charles was saying to me repeatedly that it's extremely urgent I accept to buy the meds and do all of these things he recommends. He said it could be life-threatening for my pet in his current condition. I said my pet's smiling all the time & is healthy now, even though his breathing's a bit hard, but my dog's also very old. At the end, I agreed to do the tests he recommends, but said paying for 1.3k is too much. So clinic agreed to give me the prescription for me to buy the meds elsewhere (& I end up getting the meds less than half of the price they were asking me). As the meds being bought elsewhere, the bill ends up being around 950$ instead. Why's this not a positive review, you ask? Cuz in the following days, while Charles has been a responsible animal doctor & called me back a to explain the results of the blood work & tests, what I find extremely upsetting & disappointing is that I nonetheless had to pay for the meds because of the wrong diagnosis from this vet cuz of how his impressions of how urgent the condition of my dog was incorrect! It WASN'T life threatening nor urgent. It didn't warrant me paying for 120 in meds for the dog for a condition that my dog did not have: partial obstructed airway that the vet believed my dog suffers from. Over a week later, when he called me after all the blood work results, specialist opinion & opinions of his colleagues came back, he found out that my dog didn't have that condition & in fact even admitted in subsequent calls that asking me to buy medication was unnecessary. Me spending $120 was unnecessary & was a mistake! No credit for my next appointment, nothing of the sort being offered. Barely an apology. I would say in retrospect Charles is not a good vet though he cares about the animal patients & loves what he does, but I believe he's lacking in experience & that leads him to urge all of us who have pets who see me to accept treatments & solutions from the clinic while it may not be necessary if you were seen by another vet with more experience. While I like Charles as a person & appreciate everything the clinic & Charles did for us, I believe IF I were to come back to this clinic again... I want to bring my dog to another vet & I strongly suggest you do the same, or else your wallet may be in great danger! THE LAST THING YOU WANT is to have the condition of your pet being misrepresented & lead you to spend your money while there's no need to do so...

After returning to Pointe Vet (I took my first Savannah there), they delivered an exceptional experience and care ❤️ received such a great support by Rose Gauthier, Technician Assistant Stefanie Wosnitza, AHT Elen (Ed) Depuis, AHT B.Sc Vanessa Carter, Customer Support Representative Veronica Cammisano, DVM James Drooker, DVM (with my first Savannah, years ago) Very affordable prices, genuine care for your animal, they give a thorough exam, and take the time to provide proper information and answer all questions. No surprises. They really go above and beyond and build a trust and relationship with their clients. Unlike many other vets, they also know exactly how to run a company and keep a high and professional reputation. I probably won't go anywhere else again. Big thanks to the whole team!

Fantastic experience: The entire staff is kind, empathetic, and you can tell their love for animals. They do everything to avoid stressing the pets. Dr. Drooker has been our go-to vet for 9 years now, our cat loves him! He is kind, patient, and doesn't prescribe medicine without knowing what is really going on. He also did the teeth surgery on our kitty, and it was a great success!

Fantastic experience: I just had to put down my dog of 17 years. It was a very sad moment for my girlfriend and I. We were treated kindly and given a small room off to the side away from everyone. The doctor who injected her was empathetic and put my girlfriend at ease. I know its a morbid topic to leave a review on but I think it might help anyone in the same position I was in. My little dog's lasts moments were not stressful which was very important to me.

Fantastic experience: I have been with this clinic for some time, and they are the best. They are so thoughtful and considerate of their patients, and cost-conscious while also providing the best standards of care. I have recommended them to many friends with animal companions, and will continue to recommend them. My dog is reactive (extremely excitable with other animals and new smells) and they have helped him with grace and kindness. I've never been made to feel badly for his difficult behavior, as we work on it. Thank you to the whole team!

Negative experience: I hope whoever reads this considers NOT bringing their pet to this clinic and going somewhere else instead. I genuinely cannot believe how poor of experience this place was, after seeing other positive reviews on Google. I've never taken the time to write a poor review for a business before but, this deserves it. I met with Dr.Floca for an infection on my cat's back to be looked at, to see if the antibiotic she had been taking for a couple weeks had been working. After about 40 minutes of being constantly cut-off and talked over when I was trying to ask some basic questions about her health, all he had done was re-shaven the infected area, re-open the wound that was close to fully healed, give her a lotion to use, and tell me to let the wound re-heal and re-scab. Even after directly asking, I was not told if the area still looks infected and they were not even willing to do a sample, either. So now I'm essentially back to the beginning, with an re-opened wound and an infection that still needs to be addressed, and will be bringing my pet to a different vet, this weekend, to actually be looked at with care. I essentially just paid nearly $200 just for her scab to be re-opened, given no real answers or advice, and was then rushed out of the door. A complete waste of time, a complete waste of money, and worst of all my pet is actually worse-off for having come in today-- the exact opposite you expect from a vet. I would insist on getting my money, considering they essentially did nothing at all, but I am sure that will never happen. Do you, and especially your pet, a favour and simply go somewhere else.

Negative experience: they didn't figure out that my cat has kidney issue. they don't handle the case from A to Z, so you have to follow up and make sure they are doing the right thing

Negative experience: I am honestly so shocked at my experience considering the other rave reviews and even mentions on Reddit. I took my cat today for what appeared to be a absess in the mouth. The vet (Dr. Floca) that saw me, without gloves, scraped the tartar off my cats teeth and tried to pop the absess. Then he asked me (and continued to pressure me when I said no) to rip out one of his damaged teeth in the room (not under anesthesia or anything) while I either looked away or stepped outside. I was stunned. I asked if I could call my vet at home (since I was visiting) and he said he did not have time. He rushed me out after trying again and again to get me to let him do it. He kept cutting me off and telling me personal life stories instead of answering direct questions about my cat. It was frankly a traumatizing experience because I am already out of my hometown and just looking to make sure my cat is okay. I left with even more anxiety than I entered with, and I entered with a decent amount. I get that they have great reviews, and that is what I thought, and maybe my experience is a rarity. But be forewarned that this happened to me and was overall a terrible, unprofessional experience.

Fantastic experience: The staff was so kind! It was my first visit, and I had the pleasure of speaking with James. He was so understanding of both my concerns about my cat and also the price breakdown. They're very "open book" with everyone, not trying to sneak in extra stuff. I honestly felt so well treated, same goes for how well they treated my cat! I really recommend this vet, everyone was super loving and careful with dealing with my cat! Fantastic experience: Amazing clinic that gathered a team of highly qualified professionals. Yesterday, I had an appointment with a new doctor Veronica Cammisano and I cannot say enough about her knowledge, care and analytical approach to every issue that I brought up for my kitty. I left there with confidence that my pet’s condition is stable and we have a thorough plan of the next steps - to ensure that the small issues get resolved.

Fantastic experience: I cannot express just how positive my experience with this vet was compared to others I have been to. Everyone from the desk to the techs and doctors were exceedingly kind, on the ball, helpful and sympathetic to not just my cat but me as well (in a genuine way I wish I encountered more often in life!). They literally saved my cat's life by actually doing what I asked in terms of getting scans and tests done (other vets simply tried to throw meds at the issue) where they found the need for an emergency surgery which both a past shelter and past vet did not find since they did not bother to look. These folks know what they are doing and love animals and animal lovers. Knowing my financial situation at the moment they have gone above and beyond to do their best to keep costs at a reasonable level, they addressed all my concerns and mutiple people on the team said to call anytime for help even if its just advice or to give an update. Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about our incredible experience with Dr. Jiakim Leclair-Vance. We are from the states traveling through on a 10,000 km bike-packing trip. And my cattle dog who has epileptic seizures needed refills of medications. It was incredibly frustrating trying to coordinate things from our vet in California to get the medications in Canada. However Dr. Vance was incredibly thorough and even proposed some fantastic options for seizure control that we were not even aware of. She spent considerable time with us and insured we were ready to take on the remaining couple months of our extended Canadian expedition! I highly highly recommend this vet and doctor for any of your pet needs. They happily go above and beyond in their care and service!

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a new vet in my area as the one I was frequently going to started going downhill. I’m so happy I decided to make the switch to pointe vet. I called for an appt and they didn’t have any room but did have a cancellation waiting list. They called me the next morning and offered me a space. Everyone that works there is so kind and friendly. You can really tell that they truly care about the animals. 10/10 recommend.

Negative experience: You bring in your belowed pet who has been having some urgent health issues for a check-up. They say your pet needs a blood test for further analysis. They tell you that the results of the blood test will be ready in 2-3 business days. You pay over $500 for the appointment. It's been well over a week, and still no news. Why the heck am I paying so much money for delayed results??? If you tell your clients 2-3 business days, stick with with that timeline. Don't mess around with your clients' pets' health. We put our trust in your hands and you let us down.

Negative experience: I trusted this vet with my 7 month old cat and they not only failed me, but my sweet boy. I brought my cat to this vet for regular health check-ups. After noticing his increase in diarrhea, ear and eye issues, and not eating as much, I book several appointments with different veterinarians here and pay a LOT in fees for testings in addition to the emergency appointment costs. Each appointment they said they could not find any issues. This was during covid times, so I could not actually accompany my cat to the back room to see what tests and check-ups they were actually doing. I now KNOW they did not do their job, because for months my little boy had large amounts of fluid in his lungs and excessive, rapid breathing. The vets here ignored all of these symptoms at every visit (and even rudely accused my second cat of causing the issue to his eye via "rough" play) until the a final visit when they determined he had a fever for "possibly some days" and suggested he be euthanized for FIP. I despise this vet. They are money hungry and unless you watch them during their appointments, they will do nothing. I gave 1 star because they do offer follow-up phone calls to discuss potential solutions for your pet-- though I do believe this (as all of their acts) are performative and way of meeting protocols. Boo to this vet, and a THUMBS DOWN.

Fantastic experience: Since our old vet was sold and it's impossible to get an appointment, we were pleasantly surprised to find an affordable and honest vet again. They're great with our dogs and it's easy to make an appointment.

Negative experience: We have been customers of this vet since 2019. Their veterinarian is very professional, but since Hannah left, the new front desk lady who with glasses is not friendly at all and they started to charge ridiculously expensive. They have doubled the price in 10 months. I got the exactly same document for my dog for the international trip, it was 45 in 2022, and now it’s 65 before taxes, which it's unacceptable. I believe there will be more veterinary hospitals in the town with reasonable price

Fantastic experience: Great vet! Prices are reasonable, some procedures such as dental are much cheaper than in other clinics. Doctors are caring and they listen to you. The only inconvenience and the thing to improve is they don’t know the exact time of the day when they make the operation for your pet so you have to drop it in the morning and then wait all day for the call and then pick up. Very inconvenient if you live far from the clinic- you have to spend the whole day rambling around the clinic waiting for the call or spend time going back home and then return. Would be much better to know the exact time of the procedure and bring my pet by that time

Fantastic experience: Superbly customer service. I filled their online form. They took the time to review all the info and call me back with comments and recommendations. I didn't took the appointment in the end, but they deserve the starts.

Positive experience: The technicians and Dr Prigent are amazing. My dog feels safe and cared for when we visit. I still receive great service with the techs but Dr Prigent no longer works there. Front desk staff is a hit or miss, they're not particularly warm but they are polite.

Fantastic experience: Dr James Drooker is the best Veterinary that I know . Since I arrived to Montreal 20 years ago I had pets that I love with all my heart , but it was not easy to find a real, friendly and compassionate Veterinary until I finally find His Clinique at St Charles 6 years ago +- I really recomend the Clinique Pointe St Charles and of course Dr. James Drooker that is excellent Veterinary.

Negative experience: Just want to start of by saying I’m not a client and never was. My concern with this clinic is when we first got our Pup we called and A. Nobody ever answers B. When someone called me back I was told they no longer take new clients, only emergencies (I’m sorry you think a Puppy getting their vaccines is not considered somewhat urgent for you) C. I was told I was on a list and would be called when and if they can take new clients. Never got called, and found out others who called 1-2 months after me got in even though they never had a file here. We ended up finding another veterinarian who answers every-time someone calls. Don’t get me wrong, the place seems very clean, nice and has good reviews from the clients/patients that don’t get ignored. However, it seems reception needs improving.

Positive experience: Very clean, really had a nice time bringing puppy for vaccinations. Only downside is the are extremely busy so it is difficult to make emergency appointments.

Fantastic experience: Finding the right vet clinic is always stressful. We had an amazing vet in Vancouver who took great care of our dog since he was born so our expectations were pretty high when we moved to Montreal. We found Pointe Vet and immediately felt like our 8 year old Vizsla was in good hands. The whole staff is friendly, the vets are very professional and don’t try to oversell unnecessary meds or services, and every time we went there (which is never for a good thing) we experienced a 5 star service. Would highly recommend :)

Fantastic experience: Pointe Vet offers same day/next day appointments so i managed to get my cat in only a few hours to treat an eye infection. I cannot recommend this team and their services enough. Always so kind, invested in the pets, invested in making sure that we understand the issues and treatment courses. Positive experience: Review mid 2023: The veterinarians are really competent, knowledgeable, and empathic, i really want to emphasize that!!! Just be sure to ask for the pricing BEFORE doing any treatment/action/operation/test if you are on a budget, so you aren't stuck with a higher bill than expected at the end. Review early 2023: Don't get me wrong, the service is good, the staff are attentive to your pets. They care. BUT... It's been a couple times, now, that my final bill after 1 visit is way different than the estimates given to me just before taking an appointment. Or that, during the visit, i receive a price from the vet, and by the time tests are all done, there is more fees on your bill than previously agreed upon/discussed during your talk with the vet. So for people whom have a budget, be careful to ASK by writings the FINAL prices before you agree to anything, otherwise you'll arrive at the desk and be surprised to have close to 100$ more than what you were told it would have costed. I am lucky I was able to pay, but I can't imagine if I was on a tighter budget... ☹️ DON'T BE SHY to ask in writings the name of the test, the price the vet told you, etc...before letting your pet go for the tests. At least with those infos in hands, you'll be able to challenge those fees at the moment of paying them. Review from 2 years ago: Impeccable service, polite and very informative staff, prices OK, clean clinic. You can see they care about the animals there :) Best to do all your appointments online, they are fast to reply.

Positive experience: Update; the vet said I should get a call from them to see how my cats meds are/follow up and they didn't call now I almost went the whole long weekend with no meds for my crying cat, luckly they refilled the prescription but I had to rush there before closing which is 4pm now and no weekends. People work. I'm having to change vets now. Positives they're very nice, they love animals, clean, I've found them to be pretty prompt personally. I agree with other comments that it was better before it moved. Different vibe. For one, it used to be right by a metro now it's quite far. I feel like the old location was more central. They're not open weekends or after 5pm (edit now it's 4pm!! I can't afford this vet when I have to take off work to go) which makes it difficult to buy the prescription food I can only apparently buy from the vet. Everytime it's a bit expensive, as I don't know much I'm not sure all the tests were necessary. They have a habit of alarming me about something, doing the test and saying it wasn't that. I understand things aren't perfect science, sometimes symptoms point to something else and they assure me it's a good thing that it wasn't that but in the end it's alot of money for not much help. Again I don't have experience with other vets, maybe this is normal. I don't think I'll change vets over it but this was my experience.

Positive experience: Nice sunny waiting room with plants with a friendly bilingual reception, Dr. Rajabi was great with my cat and gave good advice on diet for him. I will come back for sure.

Negative experience: We went in for shots and his teeths. Same day after leaving my dog starts chewing the heck out of his paws and legs so I contacted them right away. It took the vet almost a week to get back to me. He left a message basically saying its impossible that my dog caught anything there and that if i want him looked at i would have to pay. They seem to be heavily money motivated. They quoted me almost 2k for mouth surgery, shopped around and every vet is almost 40% cheaper... Staff is rude. Be careful will not return

Negative experience: We have been regular customers at this vet for over a year and have had problems every visit. A serious health problem was found on my dog and we were brushed off when trying to fix it. We were told to simply monitor it and come back in a year to do the same test again. After visiting several other vets, we found out that PSC should have offered treatments and was neglecting our dogs health. We have had our dog mis-diagnosed, told one thing one week and then the opposite the next week. There is no communication between vets within the clinic. Two serious problems were missed on my dog. Will be reaching out to the OMVQ as they are letting animals suffer and not treating them.

Fantastic experience: We are really happy with this vet. They take amazing care of our cats. Everyone there seems to genuinely love animals and that makes it easy to trust them. The prices are fair as well. I can't thank them enough for taking such good care of my fur babies. Two of my cats had dental surgery here and everything went super smoothly. They also called the day after to ask how they were doing. I kind of envy my cats for having access to such good health care services. Thanks a lot to Dr Drooker who is very kind and patient.

Positive experience: Amazing service from the technicians + vets and good prices. I recommend. Although, I have to be honest i never got a good service from the receptionists. No smiles, cold attitude..

Fantastic experience: The staff is excellent and the clinic is clean and welcoming. The staff is patient and take their time to listen to your concerns. My cat has a very sensitive stomach and it's been hard to find a food that doesn't make him sick. They were able to provide one that has been working great for him.

Fantastic experience: Dr Drooker and Dr Floca are the two vets we see and they are amazing! Taking time to listen to my concerns and giving the adequate medical treatment to my cats without trying to push costly extras. The technicians and front desk employees are friendly and knowledgeable. If you want straightforward care for your pet without getting ripped off this is the place to go. I highly recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: Best vet I've been to so far! Place is super clean and open and light and really doesn't feel depressing or claustrophobic like other vets. Got an appointment fairly quick and the staff was very nice with me and especially with my cat. Prices seem on the upped side of things but service was also on the upper side of thing. I particularly liked that they didn't try to upsell me or sell me other expensive food or whatever. Prefer paying a bit more for a good and honest service. Recommended!

Negative experience: They have supposedly a great service but when I called for my cat, they told me they weren't taking any new customers at the time and didn't even bother to refer me to someone else. I mean, it's ok not to want your competition to steal your clientele but you didn't want me as a customer in the first place. Not sure they care about animals so much.

Fantastic experience: I find myself writing a review for Pointe Vet because I truly want others to know how kind and caring Dr. Drooker is to both his pet patients and their human parents!! When I first adopted my adult cat from the SPCA in May 2020, it was hard to find a vet amidst the pandemic. Most were still closed at the time but I did my research and knew I wanted to open Chaï's file at this clinic based on the reviews. I was not disappointed at all. For the past two years, Dr. Drooker has handled Chaï's case and done so beautifully. He does not push to do unnecessary (often stressful!) test for the cat (especially as she is older now) and takes all the time to truly discuss every issue and concern with you. Over the past two years, he took the time either by phone or in person to answer any and all questions of mine, even when it wasn't my appointment time and I happened to see him in the clinic while picking up a prescription. He remembered Chaï and her condition and made himself available for me to ask follow up questions. He even prescribed an antibiotic on the spot for her chin acne despite me not having an appointment! Furthermore, it is true: the prices at the clinic are VERY reasonable. When I first told my mom about the consultation fee and then the dental surgery estimate that I was given here, she was shocked at how good they were, being a long time (40+ years) cat owner herself. All in all, I truly am so grateful for Dr. Drooker's care as I navigate the vet market in Vancouver following a recent move. I hope I can find a comparable vet as I read through hundreds of Vancouver veterinary clinic reviews. Finally, to address some points made in other reviews that could be included but nonetheless do not affect my 5-star rating of the place: - It is difficult to get ahold of them over the phone. It seemed much easier back in 2020; now they send you straight to voicemail which is frustrating. Perhaps something to consider changing on their part as it can take some time to get a call back from the receptionist. - There is one receptionist that can be rude/condescending honestly. I have dealt with her a few times and have had better service with literally anyone else at the clinic. This did not stop me from returning however as the actual cat/pet care is fantastic. - While I do follow all COVID procedures and recommendations, it does suck that (still) in 2022 you cannot go in the consultation room with your pet. This is not so much a criticism as a fact. I understand the room is small and I get that they want to protect the staff as they are a small clinic and a covid outbreak would probably mean the clinic closing abruptly and pet appointments being cancelled. However, it is strange as they don't uphold social distancing when they come discuss with you in the lobby.

Fantastic experience: Great clinic, accessibility to the vets is easy, you spend real time with them and as opposed to other clinics where you see the vet only a few minutes where transfer the responsibility to vet techs to continue the consult. Here you have real time with the vets and they take their time to explain the pros and cons of a suggested course of action. They are very empathic with their customers humans as well as the furr babies.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience with this clinic. They are very friendly, provide thorough explanations, have reasonable prices, a clean waiting room, and genuinely care about my cat. A drastic difference from my old vet, so glad I made the switch.

Fantastic experience: Best vet in the city. Iive in St. Henri and have my pick of vets but got fed up of drop/pick up at the door of miserable people as if the cat were a kilo of cocain. Great customer service, friendly. The Doc and (pet nurse?) Will talk to you without trying to sell you the massage and foot rub. Prices were good and worth going out of the way for. HIGHLY RECCOMEND! 2 paws up. Even took a nap when she got home.
