Negative experience: I did big mistake to bring my cat in this place . They charged me $2000 and killed my cat. They connected some medication called Plasmalyte , ( like a water) which went to my cat in heart and lungs . My heart was broken was difficult to see how my cat was suffering with connected tubes . They led to the death of my cat and killed him . It was at the morning 26 February 2026 They a “ doctors “ Not I recommend to People not bring to this place your lovely animal. This place kills them and want get up to $ 8000 . for service

Fantastic experience: They are amazing. They’re kind and sweet and extremely professional. I brought my cat with an urinary blockage and they were so nice to me and my baby. Negative experience: I went to the clinic because my cat swallowed some yarn. I was recommended an invasive and unnecessary emergency surgery costing $10,000 despite my cat having no symptoms. I took her home instead and my regular vet recommended monitoring her condition until she passed the yarn. She recovered fully in 2 days having never experienced concerning symptoms. In my opinion, this is an exploitative practice.

Fantastic experience: We came in at 1 am and left around 7 am feeling very comforted and with a track to get our pet better. Our cat, Tiramisu, was having laboured breathing. The leading vet, Tabitha, was extremely kind and thorough in explaining, her deductions of symptoms, tests, and transparency on prices and options for treatment and costs. Yes, it was a bit expensive; but this is an immediate, emergency clinic. The care, all things considered, was fast and thorough, and the staff was all very kind to myself, my wife, and (most importantly) our cat. Tiramisu is doing much better already and we are both a bit tired but so relieved. The front staff greeted us at the door and did a great job of being both welcoming and funny to help ease our tension. Even when it got a bit busy from another tough emergency the staff was kind and tried their best to attend to him as much as possible. Thank you. :)

Fantastic experience: Our cat became excessively lethargic and we panicked. We came in at 10pm and stayed til 3am, the technician was kind and friendly, the vet was calm, helpful and understanding - we left with our kitty cat, 17 years, with greater understanding of how he's doing and how much more time we might have with our beautiful and strong willed boy. He was grumpy with the staff but they handled him well and didn't risk giving him too much sedative - warning us of the risk and giving us time to make a decision without feeling pressured. My only complaint is that they're not closer to my home.

Fantastic experience: While visiting family and friends in Montreal over the holidays from San Francisco, our 13-year-old Labrador, Duchess, suddenly and unexpectedly lost the use of her hind legs. With the holidays approaching, we had difficulty finding a veterinarian in the city who could see her, even for an emergency. We found Centre Vétérinaire Montréal online and were very grateful that we could bring Duchess in without an appointment. The staff were friendly, the wait time was short, and the overall experience was reassuring during a stressful situation. Our veterinarian (I wish I remembered her name) was warm, caring, and very knowledgeable. She clearly explained Duchess’s condition, our options, and the associated costs. Although Duchess required more specialized care than they could provide, it was clear they genuinely cared about her well-being. They even provided us with the names of neurologists to contact. While no neurologist was available before our return to the U.S., we left with a clear understanding of Duchess’s condition and the next steps which we will be bringing back to her vet back home. They even called and emailed to follow up to see how Duchess was doing which demonstrated to me how much they cared. I would highly recommend CVM to anyone, including visitors traveling from afar with their pets.

Negative experience: They didnt do a single thing for my cat they keep asking me for 3k$ for nothing in the end. Plus they gave the wrong medication to my cat wich lead her to passed away. And the people over there kind of rude

Fantastic experience: First time i had to bring my cat to the vet - she was deteriorating, this was one of the only places open. Arrived a little bit past 9 pm on a sunday. Waiting room was empty, they took the cat in right away, did blood work and urine samples, and we got the results immediately, by 1 am ish I knew that she was fighting some a strong bacteria, they gave me a whole pack of meds, antibiotics, fluids to give her and took time to explain how to give her the médication and explained the blood work, and results. They are gentle and know what they're doing, its expensive, fees go up really quickly, but they offer affirm and you decide how to split it. Which was a major relief, as my bill went from 280$ for the consult to over 1200$ once i got all the meds (and there was a lot of it) had she been less of an old cat they would have kept her for 2-3 days and administer the fluids and meds through IV, but to avoid giving her even more stresss they showed me how to do it and i was able to take her home. Long review - but i hope i'm giving you enough info to know that this place is amazing, they care and did not try to upsell me all kind of tests "just in case" and having the option to use a plan like affirm well gives you the room to take the proper décisions for your pet

Fantastic experience: Our dog had been suffering with an anal gland abscess for two days. We booked him in with our regular vet but his abscess ruptured so we sought immediate care. From the time we entered until the time we left the service was impeccable. Our dog was treated with such kindness as were we. The receptionist was incredibly attentive as were all the staff. It is obviously an incredibly stressful situation to come to an emergency vet but we felt we were in the very best hands.

Fantastic experience: I've called this vet hospital a few times to triage emergencies in the middle of the night and they're always super helpful in deciphering whether something was an immediate emergency or could wait until my vet could see my girl. In the one instance we did need to be seen for an emergency they were quick and caring, diagnosing the issue within the hour. The practices of their hospital felt more ethical than my previous experiences with the Laval emergency clinic. There was a 285$ fee for a full consult with the vet, and the emergency fees for bloodwork were comparable if not lower than other clinics I've been to. Thank you again to this lovely team for making a very scary night tolerable.

Fantastic experience: The staff genuinely cares. Yes, prices are expensive as this is an emergency center. I went for our 12 year old little French bulldog Fiona and the whole staff was just beyond. They never pushed anything on us and explained to us our options with care. They also gave us the space and time to make our own decisions. We ended up having to say goodbye and even though they were really busy, we never felt rushed. We had a young baby with us and the receptionist even offered me a quiet room with dimmed lights so I could breastfeed quietly. Thank you for your humanity

Fantastic experience: On October 4th, I brought my cat Maci here for the first time after she collapsed from a heart attack. Unfortunately, she had already passed in my arms but the staff here were literal angels on earth. This was my first pet and first pet death to go through as a young adult while also being in a city alone with no family. I was absolutely devastated but the staff took the best care of me and Maci. The compassion, care, and love they showed me was truly amazing. They assured me there was nothing I could have done to save my cat and let me spend as much time as I needed with her to say goodbye. I had my Maci cremated and when I went to pick up her ashes, the staff wrote me a handwritten card, Maci’s paw print and nose print, as well as some of her fur. I am eternally grateful and would recommend that everyone visit this vet for the best care of their fur babies. Thank you for being my angels that night as my baby crossed the rainbow bridge❤️

Negative experience: I reached out for emergency help, but after greeting in English I was simply cut off. Is this really the level of service — my pet could be dying, and without speaking French her life means nothing to them?

Fantastic experience: We had to take our FIV+ cat Phil Collins in when we noticed he'd stopped eating and drinking. The team was very kind and professional the whole time we were there and even though we unfortunately had to say goodbye and let him cross the rainbow bridge, the warmth we received from Dr. Dominique Grohman and all her colleagues/team members cannot be understated. I would definitely recommend this place if you want exceptional care for your furry family members.

Negative experience: Went there with my dog , it took one minute for the 300 dollars fee to open an account and 3 hours and still no service for a dog with stiffness and pain . INHUMANE! You take your animal in fear of it having something urgent , they do nothing , they leave you in a room hours with your pet with nothing. Stiffness in the upper part of a dog’s body can go from intoxication to serious neurological problems. As if nothing. If you love your pet avoid this place! Left after waiting more than 3 hours with no service, jope he is ok during the night and will take him to his vet . Horrible!

We charge 248$ plus taxes for a full physical examination and consultation with a veterinanrian in an emergency center, which is comparable with other emergency centers in the Montreal area. We don't charge any fees for opening a file. The wait time then depends on many factors, your animal is always seen as soon as possible.

Negative experience: lu at the front desk was very disrespectful and rude very insensitive to the fact that our dog is in a serious situation, would not recommend this clinic i live in montreal 10 minutes away from this clinic and honestly id rather drive the extra 20 minutes to go to laval vet hospital. was going to refund us and let something bad happen to our dog because our dog was sniffing out the area!! She has no respect and doesn’t know how to communicate with common decency especially regarding the circumstances of the situation.

Fantastic experience: Late in the evening, we arrived with my mom’s cat, who had a broken tooth. We were welcomed immediately and received exceptional service from the start. The staff showed genuine compassion and care throughout the visit. When the cat was sedated, my mom was allowed to hold him on her lap — and in a truly thoughtful gesture, the staff brought her a warm blanket to keep them both comfortable. They even dimmed the lights in the room to create a calm and soothing atmosphere. At no point did we feel rushed The reception staff were incredibly friendly and even offered my mom a cup of tea. I highly recommend this clinic

Fantastic experience: From the beginning of my visit to the end, each member of the staff were more than respectful and efficient, but kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Upon entering, my cat was immediately rushed to the examination room. Afterwards, every step was explained to me, every procedure, and every professional opinion. Thank you for all that you do. Fantastic experience: I had an emergency in the evening and calling, the young woman on the phone told me to come right away. I did and as soon as I got there with my Pixie I was answered and greeted. The young woman I spoke to on the phone took the carrier and Pixie into a room. A vet and her staff was there and they took care of her with a lot of kindness and warmth. I was so upset and crying, I was accompanied into a private room so I would have time to calm myself. The vet returned after a while and I could see on her face it was not good news. Slowly, she explained how Pixie was sick and at her age of fourteen years and a half, it was time for me to part with her. The heart thrombosis was severe and Pixie was suffering. For her it was not about money, it was about the well being of my cat. She let me think about it and let me gather myself. When she returned she explained how it would happen, that I had options in wanting to stay until the end or I could leave before the second shot. Pixie was brought into the room, they turned out the lights and put on a small lamp. I stayed with Pixie until she crossed the rainbow bridge. The vet and the staff were so nice and kind. I was able to remain in the room with Pixie and say goodbye. This staff was so warm and they sent me a hand written card to send their condolences for my loss. I have never felt so well taken care and they were gentle with my Pixie. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart.

Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely amazing. We came here with our cat at two in the morning due to a urinary blockage and they were kind, friendly, and incredibly attentive. They explained everything in detail, made sure we were aware of the costs and the different options, and were just overall incredible with us during a stressful time (and our cat definitely felt very safe with them.) I've also been here before for a similar issue in the past and had different vets, and they were just as good!! I cannot stress how much I love this place. Though I hope he'll never need to go to an emergency vet again, I know I'll be taking my cat here if I need to.

Negative experience: AVOID THE CURLY HAIR NIGHT TIME RECEPTIONIST. Ive been coming to this vet with my cat for a year but this reception is the one to avoid. Shes rude and unproffesional. They ask to inform 24h in advance for a medicine which i did. I went the next day to pick up my medicines at 1pm they told me to come back by 5. I called at 5 amd they said they arent ready and will call back before 12am. I got no call back and i went at 11.40pm and the curly hair receptionist almost threw us out of the hospital. She kept telling me to make an appointment. All she carea about is me giving them 400$ for an appointmemt to give a medicine when i already have an external prescription. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Avoid her at all times. She doesnt care about the pet. Just about money

Fantastic experience: We had to put our dog down in the middle of the night, after 17 years. The staff was super helpful, from the moment we called in at around 1:30am to the very last moment where we had to say goodbye to our dog and let him cross the rainbow bridge.. It's never easy, it's a pure pain that you can only feel if you've lost a pet. We just wanna say thank you again. ❤️‍

Fantastic experience: This is an emergency room so it is costly, but I appreciated being able to come back within the 48 hours without paying the deposit again; it allowed me to take back my cat without hesitation when she wasn't doing better. Fantastic experience: My 8 year old dog ate two bags of chocolate chips ‍♀️ we got in immediately upon arrival to see a vet, who induced vomiting but let her stay in the room with me for it (she has bad separation anxiety). They let us wait around after to ensure that my dogs heart rate improved, a sign that she wasn’t in critical danger from the chocolate! I was very impressed. I hope my dog never has another emergency, but if she does, I’d trust this place with her care again.

Negative experience: I don't know what to do... Ariane has a bladder stone. I had to go to 2 vets. Her vet wasn't available so ended up taking her to the 24 hour ER for pets not knowing they were going to rob me blind. They took her in did a urine test, took her temperature , and gave me a prescription for 7 days telling me she has a UTI URINARY TRACT INFECTION. After the 7 days no changes in her condition. That cost me $560 So we made an appointment with her vet. They weighed here took temperature, urine test, ultrasound and got me 14 days of meds. She is doing better. But the meds will help dissolve the stone which is 2.5cm in size.. They charged me $434. With these 2 vet bills and I'm not too happy with the first vet, i feel like a friend of mine did. They see you coming and rob you blind. Ariane's vet is trying to work with my finances, but it's really hard after throwing $560 away on a misdiagnosis as i see it. So here we are December 7 and i have 80$ to my name. I'm stressed, mad, scared and hope you can help us out. If not, I'm not sure how I'm going to make the new year. Also, I'm supposed to change her diet, and the damn food is like 150$. It's insane. Now i feel I'm entitled to a refund for not giving me all the meds i needed, being advised that I would need to change her food. Misinformation on here condition and what was wrong with her. Not enough meds for her "UTI" which turned out to be a bladder stone!

Negative experience: Called and left forms for food multiple times. Ignored for days. Finally get through to someone and they don't have the food. Now I have to source cat food to bring to the Arctic despite them having multiple ways to request that they're just not monitoring I guess If you need vet food they're not helpful.

Fantastic experience: I brought my cat in during an emergency situation. The staff was very patient and helped me understand all of my options. The price for the 2-day hospitalization was very expensive but probably standard in 2024. GET PET INSURANCE Even if it’s too late for this appointment, get it for the next big emergency. I didn’t have insurance and so I made the hard decision to bring my cat home untreated, with a terminal illnesses. It’s a horrible feeling. Because of this, the nurse gave me a cheaper option that I could do at home. It won’t save my cat, but at least I have something to make her last days a little easier. Again, the staff was very kind. They were supportive and they helped me understand my options even though I was speaking in English (my French is ok but it would have been more challenging and I may have missed important information). Thank you again to Centre Vétérinaire Montréal for helping me through a very difficult situation.

Fantastic experience: I didn't bring an animal here. But in the summer I got a mini heatstroke and the people working here were kind enough to let me sit in the waiting room and drink water to cool off, was on a first date too so it was kinda a mess but this was a nice upside, thx for the air conditioningg!!

Fantastic experience: Very very grateful for this team and their availability 24/7 for emergencies. My Rumi started having sudden asthma attacks and the team there provided rapid diagnostics and a treatment plan. The staff was extremely transparent about pricing and explained treatment and medication in a very clear and concise manner. They helped get my pet insurance claims off quickly and everyone there was so nice and professional. They also transferred copies of all their medical data to my regular vet which was greatly appreciated as well. At no point did I feel I was being taken advantage of in an emergency cost-wise as the vet even proactively discussed potential treatment cost saving options. A+ service.

Negative experience: Staff is cordial. They are available when others are not. Pricing is transparent, but insane. For more complicated procedures, they are 50% more expensive than other places on the island, and 2 - 5x more than some places off -island. I saved $2 - 3k shopping around, no exaggeration. Its not unlike trying to find a good mechanic to fix your car, which is unfortunate. Apparently, its driven by independent vets being bought up by larger companies which lowers competition. I highly recommend, while your animal is healthy, to find a decently priced Vet. Set yourself a budget before you go. Refuse any tests or procedures you deem non critical. You can easily spend $2k just on tests and preliminary treatment before even getting to surgeries, etc.

Negative experience: After getting a new cat, I decided to take her to this veterinarian in order to get her vaccines, and to get her neutered. Before the first vaccination appointment the receptionist quoted me 143$ in total with taxes for the vaccine itself and an extra 25-30$ for the dewormer. After the appointment i ended up paying 200$ which wasn’t a problem since most vets have high pricing range but, upon arriving to the second appointment a month later the receptionist quoted me 250$ for a single vaccine which was a booster shot of the original. No deworming pill, No possibility of an allergic reaction since my cat didn’t react to the first one. So i looked up pricing range for vaccines in canada which gave me around 180$ at most. I ended up cancelling my appointment and paid the ridiculous 50$ fee. Another important thing is like to mention, this same vet gave me an estimate of 750$ to get my cat neutered. then changed it to around 2000$ estimate. After switching vets recently, i was told the estimate price would be 300$ at most at a trusted vet that two of my close friends have been to in the past year. Please change vets asap if you decide to start bringing your pet here. Thank you.

Negative experience: I had been buying a special vet brand Purina food from them for about two weeks and out of nowhere they jacked up the price of only that specific kind of canned food by 2$. The situation was unprompted and I had asked them if this was unanimously the case but only that kind went up in price and they even told me that Purina increased their prices for their vet brand canned food. So I took it upon myself to check out three other veterinarian clinics in the area and check their prices for that exact canned food and they were even lower than the prices these guys had before the price increase. I then asked them if this is a price from a while ago and if they know anything about a price increase and they told me no, that they received this same week so there would have no changes in price. They are opportunists who noticed that I came in multiple times and bought a sizeable amount of this food and thought to themselves that it would be a perfect time to overcharge me for this food. Yes it's only an extra 2$ but I'll gladly support the location that charges me less and doesn't sporadically increases their price.

Fantastic experience: I had a really positive experience at Centre Vétérinaire Montréal. One month ago, I went with my family and said goodbye to my little brother who is a cat. The team gave him and my family respectful treatment and clearly cared that my brother would receive help, even if that meant euthanasia. They acted with urgency, gave honest input, and were caring and compassionate to the end. We received a card after his death with clipping of his fur and kind words in the letter which for me felt above and beyond. Thank you so much to Dr. Thibeault and all the staff who was present on our visit. I've had negative experiences with some emergency clinics but this experience reaffirmed my faith in them. I do recommend this clinic if you are in the downtown area and your non-human family member would benefit from urgent care. Thanks again!

Fantastic experience: The best for emergency care! I brought my cat Kenny here for urinary blockage and he needed to be hospitalized. I was so happy with the level of care he received. Fantastic experience: We brought our cat into the emergency vet as he was having serious urinary troubles after a surgery. We were immediately triaged upon arrival and the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. Our cat received excellent care and medication and he is doing so much better since. I would highly recommend this vet (especially their emergency services) to anyone in the area! Very pleased!!!!

Fantastic experience: Last summer, my sweet kitty got very sick very suddenly (thyroid storm). My family vet referred me to vet et nous, and I'm eternally grateful for their expertise and care. I thought for sure it was the end for my little boy, but thanks to the vet staff’s tireless care, they managed to stabilize his condition and he went home after two nights. The staff, from the receptionists to the veterinarians, were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. My cat passed away last week, and i wanted to express my gratitude to the team here for giving me that much more time with him. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I brought my 14 year old cat and we found out that she has hyperthyroidism. Dr. Lemieux was so helpful and kind. She took her time to explain to me all the steps that I need to do. She is now doing so much better my cat! I couldn’t thank her and the team enough! It’s a great place to bring your pets when they’re ill. I would highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: I wasn't sure what to expect since I had never been here, but I took my extremely sick cat in, and they rushed her to be seen immediately. As soon as we entered the room, there were at least 5 staff rushing to help my poor baby. They all jumped into action to help her so fast that we were shocked. I felt like I was in an emergency room on a TV show! It was truly amazing and the care that the staff gave my girl was nothing short of amazing. They are angels and I can't thank them enough for helping her.

Negative experience: If you love your pet don't bring it to this clinic, they are just careless about the animals the only important for them is how much money they can get out of you, pushing you to buy things your pet don't need, vaccines your pet already have, clinical tests, get them chipped, etc. and of course charging you for every time you bring the animal. The Royal Vétérinaire clinic was our regular vet since we have our cats (2014) back then it was so different, the staff was qualified and really care with the animals but it's been 4 or 5 years they became something else. The front desk is very kind with everybody until they know they can't get no money from you they turn shady and passive aggressive against you. They don't understand our pets are our family and you can really feel their real and bad attitude when you question them about the bad diagnosis, NO treatment and mistakes their vet practitians made (because I don't think they are professionals). We brought our 8 y/o cat of 11 kg to the vet for an eye infection, sadly enough that day the cat eye wasn't that bad but you can still see he had a big infection (I think a real professional would recognize what kind of infection would be) but the "doctor" Rafael Trembly told us our cat was ok, just with a normal discharge that probably would go away by itself with "systane ultra eye drops." We told the dr we went on vacation for a month and the girl who was taking care of the cat works in a veterinary but she can't prescribe meds and she ask us to get some amoxicillin to give to the cat in our return to Canada because she was applying Terramycin but the infection didn't go away. We gave the amoxicillin to the cat and he got better, he was more active and the swollen on his eyes went away. But after some days his eyes started leaking again and with the diagnosis from the dr the cat condition got worst and worst. We brought him on Monday 8th of April by Wednesday (April 10th) the cat started sneezing, and like if want to vomit, he was most of the time on his bed like before. I went to the vet (Friday 12nd of April) to tell them what was happening and they asked me to bring back our 11kg cat and they will charge us less for the visit because we were costumers (190dlls). I told the person how come they will charge us more if we brought the cat the previous days and the dr diagnosis was wrong and told us our cat was ok and advise us to get human eye drops that made the cat condition worst (we already paid $172dlls) she got really shady and told me if I cant bring the cat I can send an email to the "medical team" and they will reach me right away but that never happened. So, I sent them an email on Monday the 15 of April and I never received any answer. I ask her again why they want to charge us again if we already paid and the dr diagnosis was wrong and the cat got worst. Is really easy for the front desk to ask you to leave the vet when they can't give you a reasonable solution. I was very frustrated seeing my cat in so much pain and I got upset with the answer she gave me and I left really mad. Today Tuesday April the 18th the dr Rafael Trembly called me to tell me they answer my email right away (but wasn't true cause I never got their response) and they have to run 3 tests to know what kind of infection is and of course we have to pay for another consultation but this time $250dlls plus and they don't accept violent costumers in the clinic and I just lost it and hang up to him. Not before telling him bringing out cat to him was the worst think we have done. We call last night a real vet and told us the right thing to do and this morning our cat finally got up his bed to eat, he don't scratches his eyes like before and is not that swollen than before Conclusion is: in this vet they don't care about your pets it's just money what they want from you.

Negative experience: Since the change of ownership to the franchise the quality of service has dropped extremely low. We have been taking our cats there since they were kittens, all the way back to 2014 and the service then was wonderful, they really cared about your pet. Now... We brought our cat to be checked for a reoccurring eye issue and we set up an appointment for the 8th of April. We saw the dr and he assured us nothing was wrong and that it was just eye leakage. We were charged the price for a non emergency visit (the receptionist had called me and tried to force me to have an emergency appointment even though I told her it was not necessary, 3 times I had to tell her not to cancel my appointment, they really wanted us to pay the emergency fee of $300) the next few days for our cat were bad, his eye got worse, worse than usual. We contacted this clinic to ask for him to check our cat again as we were not satisfied by his initial diagnosis (the dr we saw was Raphael Tremblay) we were told that we would have to bring him back (we can't, no car) and that they would have to charge us again! Even though they were incorrect in his diagnosis we would have to pay the emergency fee. This place is a joke. As can be seen by the multiple reviews they do not care about your pet, your pet is a cash machine to them. After a decade of using the same vet, we won't be back ever. And to the person who might respond to this, if the dr had done his job properly we wouldn't be here and believe me we will make these complaints loud.

Fantastic experience: The service provided by the clinic was amazing. We got there with the urinary tract problems. They took us immediately and conducted all the necessary tests and procedures. Fantastic experience: The whole team is attentive and kind. My dog will need an urgent surgery and I was very glad I could talk to the orthopaedic surgeon the same day which my own vet was unable to provide. Yes it's expensive when you go to an emergency veterinarian clinic, but I'm so grateful for their amazing service.

Fantastic experience: I wasn’t sure what to expect with an urgent/emergency type of clinic but I’ve found that the quality of the communication, the compassionate thorough care and the transparency around cost were all very refreshing. I always leave with a sense of relief and comfort. The cost is high but in the couple instances I’ve had to go here, I’ve never experienced any judgement, pushiness or attempts to sell me anything extra. A big thank you to the team for the diligence, expertise and commitment. I’ll absolutely continue to use this clinic as a supplement to my regular vet in case of emergencies.

Fantastic experience: I went in around midnight with my young cat who had a large cut on his neck. staff were so friendly and there was no judgment or pushing of unnecessary procedures- just a cone and some medication! great place for emergencies, as soon as I rang the door bell staff was there to let me in and help and the technicians were great and fast. I was in and out in about an hour :) will definitely be going back if I ever need emergency treatment again

Fantastic experience: This is the second time I had to take my cat Henrietta here, and I wanted to leave a 5 star review! Even on a weekend, they were able to get me in for emergencies and the wait of about 1.5 hours (only because they determined she was not in immediate danger) was much less than I was expecting. Once the doctor came, they did all the necessary tests efficiently (on site) and gave us our own room to wait in (which is amazing because I have been to other vets where she has to sit around other dogs and cats and the poor thing is terrified). The staff are so kind with Henry which I always worry about as she's such an anxious cat. They always explain everything to me very clearly and help me figure out what is going on with her when I'm bawling because I'm so worried about her (lol). They are very transparent about the pricing and make sure I am ok with the cost before they do anything. Yes, you will pay more for an emergency visit than you would at a vet check up, but I am so happy to know I can come here any time of day or night and have them answer all my questions when something unexpected is wrong with my baby! The facilities themselves are also very nice and the front desk staff are super friendly and helpful. Thank you Centre Veterinaire Montreal! <3

Fantastic experience: Second visit to this clinic. Came with our dog Arthur Staff is friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable. Atmosphere is welcoming. Prices are fair and the services offered are on par with our regular vet who sadly does not see emergencies. I will and have recommended CVM to friends and colleagues. It is nice to know there are still businesses out there that take pride in their work.

Positive experience: Great clinic. Very kind attention to my dog & myself. Attentive to detail and to my pet’s sensitivities. Cost-conscious & communicative at each step. Only caveat: parking can be awkward - there’s no parking for the clinic so it’s street parking only.

Fantastic experience: I recently had to spend quite some time here for my cat Moy as he was having some GI issues and we were very worried. Overall I had a very good experience with everyone there and I could tell that they really have the well being of animals at heart. It’s a very stressful situation when you don’t know what’s going on but you know something is wrong and your gut feeling keeps telling you something is wrong. They ensured to do a thorough checkup and reassure me which I really appreciated. Thank you again for everything :)

Fantastic experience: The receptionist on the phone was incredibly welcoming and kind. I had an emergency with my cat who suddenly could no longer walk at 2AM on a Tuesday morning. I drove in and brought the cat and there was absolument no wait time. I was warned ahead of time that the emergency visit would be costly and the receptionist told me the cost before I arrived, which was hugely appreciated. Once they analyzed the cat, they had a few hypotheses of what was wrong. She could have diabetes or, as I suspected, kidney failure, as she was terribly weak and could no longer carry her own weight. The vet who saw us was honest and kind. I wish I remembered her name. But she told me straight up that any tests being run on that night at that time would be much more expensive than if I brought her to a vet the next day. She correctly assumed that the situation was maybe not as urgent as I thought it was, so when I asked her for a short term solution until I could get her to a regular vet, she gave me some saline solutions and appetite inducers for my very sick cat. The technician came and did the first injection of the saline for me at no extra cost. The next day, I went to a regular vet and my cat is doing much better. I can’t thank these people enough for helping me out when I needed it for my poor cat! They recommended Clinique Vétérinaire Ontario and I recommend them too for any non-urgent situations as the service I received there was also incredibly efficient. In all, my visit cost somewhere in the $450 mark (includes the visit, medications, and saline). My visit the next day to the vet was another $400. Very small price to pay for a cat that is now recovering from what turned out to be a hypertensive episode caused by hyperthyroidism! Thank you all for your help with my Margaret who, thankfully, has a few more years left in her.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and good emergency vet services if you live in the city. Long wait times are just a nature for these type of emergency last minute vets. The two times I had to bring my cats here for an emergency check up, it's been offered with much kindness and professionalism. They also had the hypoallergenic cat food in stock when there were supply issues at my usual vet and all surrounding vets near where I live.
