Expérience fantastique: This is the best vet we have experienced in kingston for as long as we have lived here. Everything we bring our cats here we have gotten nothing but 5 star service. They have always put care of the animal as the number one priority, they dont put pressure for Un-needed services and always take our situation into account to make sure our pets get the best care. We have brought all of our cats for several years and intend to bring them for the foreseeable future.

Serving opinions we’re given, everything was well explained, we were given time she space and made the worst experience the best it could have been. We got sent a card with prints it was very very sweet. I’ll certainly be bringing my future pets here as it’s been the best vet I’ve taken my cat to. I know next time will be much more wholesome. Expérience négative: After almost 8 years of average treatment and visits, with nothing special really sticking out during, all it took was one emergency to realize the difference between a company with human beings who have emotions invested in your loved one(s) vs. Employees receiving a biweekly paycheck. I guess not the worst experience overall, but also not the personable or really great experience that you would hope for and/or expect from a doctor or veterinary staff, either. Very disappointed and will be switching my 3 animals from here as soon as a replacement has been found and reviewed. Please govern your family member’s health accordingly.

Expérience fantastique: We had to bring out cat, Whisper in this week on an emergency basis. We were gotten in on the same day, and thats where our journey began. The office was in touch with us each day to follow up to see how he was doing. We were able to get diagnostic testing done within the week, and our precious fur-baby has turned it around! We can't thank the staff here enough. Such care, and compassion.

Expérience négative: Brought my masstiff in because she was acting weird, got told she was 100% okay and didn’t need to give her anything, she was put down the next morning due to an infection that was missed, I get that stuff gets missed by my dog would still be here today if it wasn’t for this place, go the the vet on Gardiners road by the invista, much more professional with actual experienced vets

Expérience fantastique: Took about 2 weeks to get an appointment for a regular checkup, so if this is an emergency I think they may have fit me in earlier but I’m not sure. I left happy knowing Billee is good to go and my home remedy for his ear infection did the trick. No further medication or testing as purposed. Wishing vet care weren’t so expensive but that’s the price you pay. $171.00 for about 15 minutes of peace of mind. I will return if Billee needs further care regardless of cost.

Expérience fantastique: They were fantastic with our new puppy. Very welcoming and super friendly. They had a lot of very informative brochures to help navigate do’s and don’t s when having a new puppy. Overall great experience and I would recommend anyone to take their pet to this vet!

Our Groodle (Golden doodle) had his annual check up and just as we now have come to expect, they checked in with us the next day to make sure he didn’t have any adverse reactions to his 4 shots. They are just an amazing Vetrinary Hospital! His past treatments have been 10/10. Always happy with their treatment of our precious pooch and our pocket book. Treatments are discussed and always given options. The staff here are keepers! Again…we are so happy to be their client (patient)!

Expérience fantastique: I wanted to say thank you to the vet techs who worked yesterday and helped with clipping Tigers nails and getting his nail out of his paw pad. Tiger is quite skittish and hates having his paws touched. It was done quickly and we had no issues. He is now a happy cat without a sore paw. Truly grateful for the staff at KWV.

Dr Reed, Eriana and Shauna all treated him very well and I know he was comfortable with them - he won’t mind going back at all. A very thorough assessment of his health and excellent follow-up.

They don't push for any testing or procedures that they don't feel are necessary and are really considerate of different financial situations. But at the same time they really look out for your pet's wellbeing. This is by far the best vet I've dealt with in town.

Expérience fantastique: Kingston West Veterinary Hospital is the best in Kingston. We switched over to this vet when we got new puppies during the pandemic. They are so caring and I love how they contact us after one of our dogs has been there to see how they are doing. I also find their prices to be very fair. I always trust their advice as they present multiple treatment options rather than just trying to upsell you. I am so pleased that my dogs get such great care.

Expérience fantastique: My cat Cornbread had his yearly exam and booster shots. The staff was kind and gentle with him and used a treat to distract and calm him so his exam could be completed without stress. Cat is happy and I enjoy the freshly cut nails.

Importantly, the cost of vet care is very, very expensive. I do wish, however, that vets could give seniors and other lower income people a break when it comes to vet costs. Thank you.

The staff are all very friendly, even the receptionist and they actually get to know your pets. They talk with you and genuinely seem interested and care. They even follow up after each appointment! They all seem to enjoy their work and it shows. Highly recommend going here.

Expérience fantastique: Very responsive and kind vets. They are the routine preventative health team for my 2 dogs. And when an emergency happens (poisoning of dog by marijuana butts that some thoughtless person just casually tossed as garbage!), they manage to squeeze us in. And didn’t overcharge me. (No, you don’t want to see the video of my poor dog stoned and totally anxious about how distressing it felt to her, not knowing what was going on...its not funny).

Transferred over from a different office after going in circles with a bad foot infection on my hound, in one visit they were able to prescribe an antibiotic that took effect within a week! From having a miserable dog who could barely walk for 3 years he is back to his happy self running around and playing with his brother, to greeting everyone and anyone with nothing but love and affection ❤️

Incredibly helpful and compassionate staff, especially with a very nervous/aggressive cat that doesn't like to go to the clinic. Very clean, modern building that is spacious and very accessible. Beautifully located on the water and very convenient to get to-no major rush to turn into busy parking lots etc. Lots of good retail products and foods and staff are eager to help with ordering in anything you would need. Prices are super competitive and lower than some other local clinics. We will definitely be back!

Vet and vet techs are always respectful, take the time to understand the situation, taking time to explain whats happening and different options and avenues available for your pet! I also love that they follow up to check how he’s doing after an appointment. Even if it’s just a yearly check up and he’s acting like we’ve never left the house. Expérience fantastique: I wrote the review below 3 years ago and two women at Kingston West Vet calmed my concerns.(Lyndsay and Morgan) This Vet Office had handled my pups more than a few times and their handling of "all" concerns as expected. I was in Nursing in the early 90's. I know that things go wrong when least expected. Well we came upon this again on Friday and trying to be calm rushed our 1 year old pup to their expertise in need of help. They were kind, compassionate and caring and listened in 2022 with Daisy. Look.....words can not do enough to express what these people do, the knowledge, the equipment the back-up. Overly glad and reassured rather quickly and we started to relax. The staff here are the best. My little girl happy, healthy and chasing our other pup. Things could have gone bad. Many Thanks Andrea and I do believe Emily. Correct me and I'll correct this. I have 2 pups that trust you all. --------------------------- Reviews are helpful and I went with that plus closer proximity to the house! A reviewer said they handled her aggressive dog glowingly so I give it a whirl plus gave the staff the going over( my apologies) before a very nervous visit. I get two young cheerful ladies to help me without naming and they know who I am talking about. We muzzle my dog! Yep my aggressive 33 pound( she's going on a diet)dog that I love to pieces with a muzzle at "my" request to protect them first.( we had another establishment insist our loving cocker spaniel was aggressive which set us back immensely as it hurt) Long story short she brings me back my dog thru the front door, not yapping, walking and.....wait for it.....NO MUZZLE!!! Totally professional, loving and they work with you. I gave them the green light and they thoroughly looked over my best bud in the whole world. The Dr laughed when I said the house would go first but do whatever with my pup. Ladies!!! You made my day and you'll see my other dog shortly. I trust you which is the best compliment I have. Expérience fantastique: Everyone was so friendly with myself and my puppy. I was late and they still saw us, and were very good to us both.. I had my kids on a P.A day and it was a little hectic but everyone was fantastic to us all. I can't express enough how great everyone was. My brother also brought his rescue here, and i cant even tell you the miracle work they've done with his dog. They were fantastic with helping him keep within his budget. The staff and doctors are so welcoming and friendly. They spend the time answering all my questions over the phone and in-person which I really appreciate. I have never felt rushed or pushed to wrap up any of my appointments. Dr Reed, our regular doctor, is so knowledgeable and explains every procedure/examination clearly and in terms I can understand. She is so gentle with our dog at every appointment I’ve been too. It makes my partner and I at ease knowing our dog feels safe and comfortable. I met Dr Jia today for an emergency appointment for our dog today, I was a little hesitant because she is not our regular doctor, but I could not be happier with my appointment today. She is just as fantastic, gentle and kind with both my dog and also with me! She diagnosed and treated my dog quickly and accurately. Thank you so much for everything today and for reassuring me by answering all of my questions!! I only have good things to say about Kingston West Vet, I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone looking for quality care!!

Dr. Julie Reed is exceptional. She offers clear explanations, multiple options for treatment that don't break the bank, and a clear follow up plan that makes us feel so confident in her. Your animals will be in very caring, capable hands here. Her staff are always friendly, prompt and very knowledgeable. Their communication either by phone or email is top notch. Highly recommend!

I especially appreciated the follow up the next day to see how Angus was doing. They even trimmed my squirmy boys nails for me. I’m extremely happy with our choice of pet care.

Expérience fantastique: I had to put down my wonderful cat Abbie of 15 1/2 years on December 22nd, the staff was so caring and I could just tell how sympathetic they were. It’s a tough job to do, having to go over the paperwork, and the procedures of euthanasia. They let me say my goodbyes of course, take as long as I wanted. But today January 9th 2023, I checked the mail and I noticed a card. It was from the staff. They wrote a lovely message and gave me Abbie’s paw prints. It was so unexpected and so wonderful. I rarely write reviews but this team goes above and beyond for their clients. Rather it’s the animals or the people. I thank you guys for doing this, and being so thoughtful and caring. It will not be forgotten.

Expérience fantastique: We have had numerous vets in the past - none seemed to fit. Each time I email these folks I get an immediate response back from them. Today I called about our cat Stirling- his new little brother nicked him in the eye sometime last night and was having difficulty opening it. I got a call back right away stating that they had a slot available a half an hour away from then- I jumped on the opportunity. These folks are truly a wonderful business. They’ve even done the same for our dog Charlie in the past! In addition to my first review: We recently had to put our Charlie down….he was such a loyal, loving, and amazing best friend I’ve ever had. Kingston west vet were SOOOOO amazing through everything. I don’t know if things would’ve ended up the way they did if it was anywhere else. A couple of weeks went by (we had been driving to and from Trenton and hadn’t been home)- I checked the mail to find a really sweet letter signed by the staff at Kingston west vet and inside the card were prints of Charlie’s paws. They managed to bring a tear to my eyes and made me feel like Charlie could be with us forever by doing this. I hadn’t even asked them to do this! That is a very classy bunch of folks here! You will NOT be disappointed in Kingston West Vet!

Expérience positive: I have been taking my dogs to this clinic for over 3.5years. I like and recommend the clinic, staff and veterinarians overall, I have never had an issue with them and they have always been friendly. The reason I do not give 5 stars is because of the reduction of their working hours starting from November 2022. This will be a hard change for us as my husband and I work during their new business hours and have no family here to help. I understand that there is the emergency clinic, but we would like to see our dog's regular vets instead of taking her to different vets all the time. This may just be an inconvenience for me, but should be something to consider if you are looking for a new vet.

Have had several quick visits where we weren't charged, like when they check one of the dogs eyes nearly got his eye poked out by a branch. Medication prices could be better but they are a vet so I can't blame them too much.

They answer questions, they follow up, and they do it all with a smile. I appreciate the thorough explanations as things happen to my pets, and I never feel pressured to have a service/procedure done that isn't necessary. I also appreciate that I can be given the option to find more cost effective alternatives without guilt. Of all the vets I've used over the years, this is by far the best team I've ever had!

I have never waited to be seen, booked in immediately when there is a concern and the time is taken to explain care and prevention when needed .
