Expérience fantastique: The Receptionist, Vech Tech’s and Veterinarian were absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable and kind with Charlotte as she is only 6.6lbs. She didn’t yelp and was overly scared. They were also excellent with “my old man” Trigger who is 64lbs and 15 in April. The team was very honest about pricing and which vaccines each one needed, which are a good idea, and what is not really necessary. Very clean facility as well, especially with multiple animals coming through each day. Very happy with the experience and this will now be our official Vet Clinic. Expérience négative: This hospital seems more focused on making money than on properly treating pets. Just before Christmas, I had to bring my dog here for an emergency because he was very uncomfortable and constantly licking himself. They ran a urine test and diagnosed an infection, but Dr. Singh prescribed antibiotics for only 7 days. Within 10 days, my dog’s condition became much worse. He was in severe pain and could barely urinate. When I took him to our regular vet, I was told this type of infection usually requires at least two weeks of antibiotics. I paid $500 at this clinic, and then had to spend another $1,500 at a different hospital to finally get my dog properly treated and recovered. This is not fair. Unfortunately, after speaking with the supervisor as well, I did not see the level of care or professional responsibility I expected. It truly felt like the focus was on charging rather than proper treatment.

Expérience fantastique: We brought our Yorkie in for dental surgery, and everyone was great, from Dr. Gord to the front desk. They took very good care of Sonic and made sure we had a good understanding of othe follow up care he needed. We highly recommend Dr. Gord and his staff.

The staff were so kind and compassionate and they took amazing care of her. Everything was explained clearly and handled quickly. We’re extremely grateful and would highly recommend them as your regular vet not just for emergencies!! They even saved the thorn for me so I can frame it haha

He loves the staff here and the worst thing he does is act as a super soaker and pees everywhere. They take such great care of him and his special needs of cushings disease and diabetes. 5 stars all the way.

The vet explained everything clearly and made sure my pup was comfortable the whole time. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for caring and professional service for their pets!

Expérience fantastique: First off, we know that healthcare isn’t cheap. Second, there is a known shortage of veterinary care locally. That’s why we were so happy that the Lauzon team was able to take care of our dog (who normally goes across town for vet care) within a couple hours of her showing abdominal distress. She was assessed, all diagnostic charges were clearly explained in advance, and comfort measures were given so she could rest at home. All her diagnostic tests were able to have her “in the clear” within 24 hours! (Sadie, and our family say, “thank you”!)

We switched from another vet who were not satisfied with and its been a great experience since. Their team has helped us with a variety of services including end of life services for our dog, managing our elderly dog's diabetes and loss of vision, as well as treating our new puppies. Expérience négative: Horrible experience. I took my dog to this place to have him put down. He was 15 and it was time. As soon as i arrived, they weighed him and i was brought to a room. We stayed in the room for a bit and then 2 vet techs came in and administered the sedation solution to "relax" him. This did anything but relax him. I watched him fight this sedation with everything in him. It did not take full effect as he was stumbling around still in my arms (small dog). After about 5 minutes of trying to calm him and STILL stop him from trying to get down off the couch, the tech came back to take him to put the catheter in. Despite giving him the injection that was supposed to sedate and relax him, i had to hear him howling for a minute in the back as they put it in. They came back and he was shaking very badly, and understandably so. They administered the final injection and he was gone quickly. For something that you advertise on your website to make sound peaceful, it was anything but. I'll never forget this horrible experience.

Expérience fantastique: I want to thank the staff at Lauzon Vet Hospital for the care they gave my girl Allie, this past weekend. Dr Singh was so good at explaining everything and you can tell how each and everyone cares about all the animals that walk through the door.

They used to be open 24 hours. I'm not sure when they stopped that. Thanks to all the staff for being so caring.

Expérience positive: It’s taken me a few weeks to write this as I was really struggling after putting my cat down. A very huge thank you to Dr Singh. You are such a kind compassionate man. You took what was the hardest day of my life and made it a little easier. You were so kind and gentle with my baby. You never judged my multiple episodes of tears in your office on multiple occasions . I could not have asked for a better vet for my Lily. Also a huge thank you to Dr Gord. For being there and helping me figure out what was going on with her when Dr Singh wasn’t in the office. I can’t compliment this team enough for their compassion and professionalism during this time. The only negative I have to say are the prices. I’m all fairness they are ridiculous everywhere in the city. To both these men I can never thank you enough as well as all the amazing techs.

Expérience négative: Back in August 2024, I took my new cat that had been hanging around my house to this vet clinic to get checked out, shots, etc. I had asked if they could look to see if she had been fixed and the vet said they could not see any scars to indicate that she had. I waited SEVERAL months to get an appointment with the Humane Society to have her spayed. Today was the day of her appointment, only to find out that she has already been fixed and the person I spoke to said there is a very obvious scar that proves she is. Had Lauzon relayed this info to me, I wouldn't have had to book anything and wouldn't have had to check the humane society website daily for appointments to become available. I am also out $40 for the exam/sedation fee from the Humane Society - luckily they were willing to refund the other $70! I am really not pleased right now...

Expérience positive: The doctors are great. For the most part it's the techs and people at the desk. They are so rude. They don't return calls. I had to call back multiple times throughout the week. Trying to get an answer to my question. Ridiculous !!!They don't give the messages to my the doctor when they say they will !!they're ignorant, arrogant snotty like the list goes on and on. Get with it. You are dealing with people who are going through crisis situations. Sometimes you have to be nice. Sometimes you have to be accommodating. It's your job. I will definitely be looking for a new place to bring my pets and it sucks because I really like the doctors but I will not tolerate, disrespect!

The staff at Lauzon Vet were helpful, compassionate and understanding. They went over an above for our Sass-E. Even allowed a visit after her passing for my two daughters to say goodbye . Amazing , and I wanted to notice them. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts .

Expérience fantastique: Thank you to lauzon animal hospital, Dr.Reiss and all the vet techs for saving our Boomer after a dog attack. He underwent a 3 hour surgery and is making an amazing recovery. Everyone was so supportive and did all they could.

Expérience négative: My 7 year old dog swallowed something she wasn’t supposed to, and they wanted 6k for a surgery, which I know does not cost as much at our regular veterinary hospital, which was unfortunately closed today. rip to my dog because these people are a money hungry corporation. If you ever have something accidental happen to your dog where the need for them to have surgery is life-threatening please choose somewhere else because unless you want to be thousands of dollars in debt then your pet will unfortunately have to be put down.

Expérience négative: I took my dog in for a simple check-up and I was charged 1,323.32 dollars. I call that price gouging. Total greed by a rich Corporation. It's very sad and disgusting, just plain insanity. This hospital should be ashamed of themselves. I won't be going back to this establishment and I recommend that other people avoid this Vet Hospital.

Expérience négative: charged $90 for a simple anal gland expression for my 10.8lb dog. and the assistant wasn’t even needed to hold him i did. it took 5 minutes or less. unbelievable.

Expérience négative: I took my terminally ill cat to be euthanized on November 22, 2024. The process was very peaceful, but unfortunately the staff did not take the paw prints that I requested to have done. I understand that mistakes happen, however there has been no offer of reimbursement to rectify the situation. Obviously, the money is not important and we can not go back and get the paw prints now. I had to call a few times over the past few days to get updates on where the paw prints were before they finally advised me yesterday that they were not done. I was told that this is not a service that costs money and is one that is offered for free so if you are taking your animal to be euthanized, just be aware that there is no guarantee you will get the paw prints since it is a free service, and if those are important to you, have them done prior. This just added to an already stressful and difficult time.

Expérience fantastique: We had a great experience at Lauzon vet hospital. Dr. Basant is an amazing and compassionate vet. We dealt with her before at another hospital and we trust her. The technician was also so helpful as well as the front desk girls were super nice.

Expérience fantastique: We brought In our 3yr. old French Bulldog after we had been to the one on Walker Rd. 8-10 wait. They bandaged his foot as he was bleeding profusely. One of the girls said go to Lauzon Animal Clinic, so we did. The girls we so sweet and the vet was such a great guy, we didn't have to wait long and out return visit was a short wait too. Expérience fantastique: A few days ago my parents in their early 80s took their cat Oscy in after signs of a UTI and vomiting. She was seen the same the day they called. Dr Singh was the veterinarian who cared for Oscy. According to my parents he was very thorough during his examination and explained all findings and treatment plan. They were very impressed with the doctors professionalism and table side manner. It's been a few days and Oscy is doing much better. Thanks Lauzon vet and Dr Singh!

Expérience négative: I am disappointed with this pet hospital. When I think of a veterinarian, I expect someone who genuinely cares for animals and strives to provide the best possible care. A few weeks ago, I brought my cat in with a severe mouth infection. The vet said she couldn't examine his mouth without sedating him and charged $1,300 for the initial examination, diagnosis, and antibiotics. I was shocked by the cost but felt desperate to help my cat, who was in terrible condition. The estimate for cleaning and tooth extraction was almost $4,000, which I couldn’t afford. The vet showed little empathy, and the receptionist suggested asking family for help or considering euthanasia. Distressed, I consulted a different vet, who diagnosed my cat without sedation, explained that my cat's condition is common in Persian cats, and quoted $800 for the necessary treatment. The initial consultation was only $250. This experience made me feel exploited. It seemed that this clinic prioritizes profit over the welfare of my pet. Additionally, when I previously needed a heart worm prescription refill for my dogs, they refused to provide it in person despite having tested my dogs recently, insisting on another costly visit. In summary, I believe this clinic's practices are more focused on financial gain than on genuine animal care. I urge pet owners to seek alternative veterinarians who prioritize both the health of the animal and the financial well-being of their clients.

Expérience fantastique: Thank you to Dr. G Reiss for caring for my cat that was ill. Dr. G Reiss was knowledgeable and professional and explained clearly what my cat “Pote” needed. From the initial phone call to the office until the end of our appointment I felt supported and my pet was well cared for. I wanted to especially thank the girls at the front desk and in the exam room for their kind spirit and the highest level of professionalism I’ve ever encountered in a veterinary clinic. You do not find customer service like that anymore unfortunately. The clinic was spotless, the wait time was minimal go early, it you don’t want to wait. I’ll always drive the hour it takes from my home to attend Lauzon Veterinary Hospital as it was a very positive experience.

The care, compassion and empathy showed this weekend, to our sick Papillon Ricky, will never go in forgotten! Dr. Reiss treated our baby as if he was his own, spending time way beyond, what I have experienced with my pet, at his own clinic, in Chatham. His thoroughness and concern for our little guy was simply heartfelt. I can not recommend this team, of truly gifted pet hero’s enough. As I sit here and write this review, at 8:37pm on a Sunday night, my phone just rang. It was Dr. Reiss, following up on how Ricky is doing.

Expérience fantastique: I brought my dog in for an issue and they were absolutely fantastic, Dallas had eaten something that blocked his small intestine and the concern and care they gave was incredible, if I ever have another problem I will definitely be back!

Expérience fantastique: We had to quickly attend the vet when my dog sudden began to pant very quickly and act lethargic. Dr. Gord was very kind and caring and although he couldn’t come up with a diagnosis he gave me several options and also informed me of the costs for each. He asked us to come in for a second exam the next morning which he did not charge us for and let us know that the evening prior and prescribed an antibiotic. The exam is on the pricier side then other vets but I felt he was very honest and wasn’t trying to charge me for extra things that he felt weren’t needed
