Park Road Veterinary Clinic

Negative experience: Not a costumer, but yesterday at 530pm as I was bringing my son to karate which is located beside the vet clinic my hubby noticed there was no parking spaces. So he pulled infront of the vets into a parking space to drop off myself and my child. As he was PULLING OUT mind you, we were confronted by a lady who yelled at us saying “ HEY!! YOU CANT PARK HERE IF YOUR NOT A CUSTOMER” she looked extremely bothered. In which I responded saying “he’s not parking, he was just dropping us off” her response to me was “WHATEVER!!!!” And went back into the building. Both myself and my 10 year old son were shocked at the way she spoke to us. My family brings their pets to this clinic and they are disgusted aswell once I told them what had happened. Hopefully you don’t lose any clients or potential clients by this rude behaviour I’ve experienced.

Fantastic experience: We recently took our kitty, Piper to Park Road Vet. She currently wasn’t a patient there but they were accepting of our problem and worries. We got an appointment the same day. We were welcomed into the vet and greeted by Dr. Boulter- she was amazing, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. She was kind and calm towards our anxious kitty as well. She was understanding of the care we had already been through with our kitty (it had been a long road of issues, worries, vet bills, a surgery etc) for the past month. She took very good care of our cat, making sure there was no long term issues and explained everything very clearly. Our kitty, who is a bit of an anxious one appeared to be calm and accepting of all of the vet techs and Dr. Boulder. I appreciated the follow up phone call a few days later to see how Piper was doing. I will defiantly keep this vet in mind for future issues / long time care. You can defiantly trust them with your fur babies. Thank you again.

Fantastic experience: Amazing office, fit my dog in for an appointment on the same day I called that he had a possible ear infection. Very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable staff and vets. I always feel like we are in good hands here!

Fantastic experience: We arrived unannounced with an urgent situation and difficult cat, not knowing where else to turn. (Definitely not recommended!) Despite being full up they managed to squeeze us in and help my cat. Everyone was so kind and professional, and they truly went above and beyond to help us. They kept my incredibly anxious cat under control throughout. We are forever thankful to have them as our vet. A huge thanks to your whole team.

Fantastic experience: The staff are welcoming, the vet described everything in detail and my dog was calm and she’s usually not a calm dog by nature and she usually shakes when going to the vet. She didn’t at Park Road. I left feeling satisfied with the appt. and felt that my dog was in good hands! I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Took my cat, Loki Lavigne, in on the 4th of August on a Civil Holiday when everything else was closed. Everyone treated her with kindness and after realizing that Loki is a spicy girl, we had her booked in the next day to give her stress relief medication. Today, the vets took care of her as the princess she is, trying to help her use the bathroom so we could get some tests run. Their patience, consideration and kindness means the whole world to me. I’ve had other vets not give my cat half of the time or energy simply because they don’t have the time, resources, etc. I wanted to shout out Sandy specifically, she is such a sweetheart. I was in such a rush that I might have forgotten her name, but she was THE BEST, so kind and so sweet to miss Loki. I don’t remember everyone else’s names, but the staff here - specifically Jasmine - are so wonderful. Thank you again, guys!

Fantastic experience: I switched to this Vet clinic with Mia at the age of 2. When I first started bringing my dog Mia i was young and my appearance appears younger than my age. The staff and doctors talked to me like an adult regarding Mia's care. Our experience has been exceptional, discussing care options together, genuinely wanting the best care and option for Mia. I never felt rushed at my appointments, the staff took time to answer all of my questions and even offered to help me during one of Mia's treatments as I was personallh learning the skill for Mia to heal. Thank you.for your incredible service. Mia and I have recently moved out West to Vancouver and are sad to leave this clinic as it is hard to find genuine people who truly care for your pet and the best options Mia just celebrated her 14th birthday and is in great health thanks to the team at Park Road Vet. Thank you for everything you have provided us. I highly recommend this vet clinic who genuinely care for your pet, who are mindful of how vet bills can add up quickly (they don't try to take your money or add on to your visit) and who work with you as a team to discuss the best options for your pet.

Fantastic experience: Best experience i’ve ever had at a vet clinic! The staff is amazing and very friendly. They are not only good at their job but you can tell they love their job. They check in after every appointment to make sure everything is going good (i’ve never had a vet clinic do that). Ive been going there for almost 3 years and I don’t plan on changing that. Also my dog loves going to the vet:)

Fantastic experience: We have spent the last 10 years with Park Road Vet. They have looked after our cats and dog. I can't ask for a better vet. They are very thorough but understanding of the costs. When we had to put our dog down they were most kind and sympathetic. Now our cat is sick. The next day they called to see how our cat was after visit. Park Road Vet is the best.

Fantastic experience: Simply great Veterinary care with no pressure selling of products or services. Reception staff, RVT's and the DVM are all equally amazing. My dog has absolutely no problem with sitting in the waiting room or going into the exam rooms, which I think says quite a bit about the atmosphere they work so hard to maintain.

Fantastic experience: Hi, Our dog was attacked by large dog. Needless to say we needed to get him to a vet asap. We called our regular vet that we have be going to for 10 years. They told us they had no appointments available. They told us to go to another emergency vet. I could not believe that in an emergency they would tell us to go somewhere else. That's where Park Road Veterinary came in, that is were my daughter takes her pets. I called they said bring him in immediately. When I arrived they took our Tucker from my arms and went back to check him out immediately. They fixed him up prescribed some medication and we where on our way. They treated myself and my dog with the upmost respect and professionalism. Thanks Park Road Veterinary, I will be back you deserve our business. Thanks Melissa.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this vet since my Paula girl was a pup. Shes 6 this August. When I have scares with Paula they are always there to help with advice, no matter if little or big. They don’t take advantage of you, I have nothing but good things to say about park road vet.

Fantastic experience: We made the decision to switch vets after almost 20 years at our previous vet, and we are really glad we did! Our first time working with Park Road Vet in June was not a happy time, as we needed to euthanize our sweet almost 15 year old boy, and they were so great to deal with and so compassionate. You could tell they truly cared. We were blown away by getting a card signed by all the staff and a personal handwritten message from the vet as well. Then we just took our other two girls in for their routine exams and vaccinations, and Dr Baker was so great with them! One of our girls can be a little weary of men, but he won her over in a matter of minutes! The way he sat on the ground with her to complete her exam was awesome and made her really comfortable and not feel threatened. Overall, we are really happy and would recommend them based on our experiences so far.

Fantastic experience: I have been a client of Park Road Veterinary Clinic for about 6 years. This week I was concerned one of my kittys had kidney stones or a UTI, as the litter crystals I used showed blue/green colours. They got her in quickly and checked her out very carefully, calling me to confirm that tests did not show any problems. (So it may have been a false reading from the litter.) I'm relieved and appreciate the communications.

Fantastic experience: Excellent customer service. I really appreciated the care and thoughtfulness shown to my cat . The vet tech and vet were both very clear with explaining the procedure he needed, and the results from his check up. I also appreciated the follow up the next day to see how he was doing. Would definitely recommend to others and am happy to find such a great place to look after him.

Negative experience: Once again the greedy vet has found a way to screw the customer, pet insurance now no longer covers nail clipping and only 3 visits. Shame on u greedy owners!!!

Fantastic experience: Was looking to switch vets after leaving my previous one for many years for various reasons. I called Park Road and the receptionist was very kind and understanding. She said she would get all paperwork transferred over from the previous vet. I was happy they took us on considering many are full and not taking on new patients. My pet is a rescue and nervous around new people and can be difficult with getting claws clipped. They listened to our tips on how to calm our pet and were able to get all front and back claws done during the check up no problem. We are very happy with the care and compassion they showed our pet and didn't rush. Thank you Park Road Vet Doctors and Staff!

Fantastic experience: We took our puppy Bella to Park Road veterinary clinic, for her puppy shots and first needles. The stuff there were amazingly friendly, very helpful Bella was very happy when we left.

Fantastic experience: Awesome, Dr. Boulter is an excellent veterinarian. She kind and gentle with my pets. She really has their best interest at heart. Trish, the receptionist, always has a sunny disposition and very helpful. Great team!

Negative experience: Please be cautious and double check your dogs prescriptions. We were charged over 10 times the amount at this clinic than we could have gotten the medication elsewhere but they refused to provide the prescriptions and they lied about the class of drug(most medications for dogs are the same exact chemical we use for humans in a different dose, they do not understand this simple fact). The only medication they let us take a prescription for they had originally wanted 50$ for the meds that I paid 5$ for at my pharmacy. They charged 30$ for a medication which the tablet would have cost me 20 CENTS and charged 60$ for a cream that would have cost me 4$. All of this on top of the regular vet fees and “prescription writing fees” which you pay for each medication. Extremely angry at this egregious money grab and misinformation/lies. Will be transferring to another veterinary clinic.

Negative experience: Not the place to go if you have an emergency with your pet. They could care less and just pass you off to an emergency clinic. Years of going with our pets, just to be fluffed off when their help was urgently needed. Look elsewhere for a more reputable vet, especially if you want someone to care about your pets as much as you do. Disappoint and heartbreak is what you will find there.

Fantastic experience: Went for regular checkup, rabies shot and nail clipping. They treated my kitty like she was a princess and one of their own. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: One of the best vets I've ever had the pleasure of having for my working guide dog. The people are competent, they are the only clinic within 100 km that will directly bill my guide dog school, they care very much about their patients, and their doctors are amazing and accessible. I won't switch, even though it's a little bit of a hardship to get there and back, because I live in London, but I'd rather go to a clinic that can meet my needs both financially and otherwise, than go to a local clinic who won't take me because I don't have the money. The doctors there are also resourceful enough that if the issue is beyond their expertise, they will refer to a clinic that can help ie: the Ontario Veterinary College. My dog just finished having lung surgery there to remove a cancerous mass, and it was the doc from Park Rd that got him enroled in the lung study, and filled out all the paperwork. It was a very fluid experience. As well, Park Rd. is great with receiving, distributing and relaying records and information in an accessible way. I am totally blind, but have had no issues getting them to accommodate me in any way I have requested.

Fantastic experience: I brought my 2 cats here for a checkup and nail clip, it was a great experience! Everyone there is friendly, and so gentle and loving with my animals. You can tell they genuinely care about your fur babies. The service was quick and efficient. The price is not bad, which is saying a lot these days. I’m so happy I chose this clinic!

The support staff is friendly, understanding and attentive to clients and all pet concerns. I do have just a few unanswered questions still. I would have liked to talk more about how my cat behaves, how she's improved etc etc. Kara's second appointment went very well. Positive experience: Cost a bit more than other vets. The interaction with the animals is priceless, they actually care for each of your pets going through and the young lady vet was wonderful with our pet.

Fantastic experience: When the time came that we had to euthanize our beautiful cat, our vet was not available! We decided to try Park Road Veterinary Clinic! The care and compassion we received was incredible. The atmosphere was calming, the girls were so gentle and kind, our baby wasn’t afraid, he was totally relaxed! Fantastic experience: I used to go to Park Road in the past but had to switch due to financial reasons had to switch. I realized that my cat wasn't getting the care she needed. I had a great experience at Park Road and my cat was relaxed. I would recommend Park Road Vet to care for your pet.

Negative experience: Poor customer service and internal management. Records are not accurate. We also took our puppies here for vaccines once and they had a reaction to the dose, they came back and said “it must have been a bad batch”. Our frustration mainly stems from this new rule where they bill you $50 for no show appointment, things happen and when theres a family emerg. the last thing on my mind is a vet appointment. No understanding. We were threatened with collections if we dont pay. An 8 year relationship down the drain all over a lousy $50 fee

Fantastic experience: Our pups have always been treated with kindness and grace here. We had to put down our lab a couple years ago during Covid… it was very difficult and unexpected, even though he was 10 years old. The team helped us through the process with empathy. Now we’re continuing our visits with a puppy and glad to have a vet office that is consistent, warm hearted and attentive to our fur baby as they always have been over the last 5 years when we started seeing them.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend Park Rd. Veterinarian’s to everyone! The staff caring, respectful and knowledgeable. One of the things I love about the staff are the pictures of their pets. (They just renovated so the pictures aren’t back up yet). Everyone there are there because they love animals. Doesn’t feel like a “business” simply out for your money. I thought Beatties were a good vet office too. Unfortunately they were bought out by a business man and it’s definitely not the same care for twice the price. While all businesses are there to make money, but that’s not what it feels like at Park Rd.
